Zach Davis: WELCOME... TO... ONE! The big show is finally here!
Shannan Lerch: We've been waiting for months, Zach, and yes, One has finally come. Everything comes to a head right here, tonight.
Zach Davis: We have about a dozen matches that I think could be called main events, but our MAIN main event is our World Title contest between Jeff Purse and the man that has been tormenting him for months, Eric Price.
Shannan Lerch: These two have been in the ring before, and each man has come out on top on different occasions. Eric Price defeated Purse for the Television Title and defended it against him as well. However, at War XI, Jeff Purse pinned Price to win the whole damn match... and the WCF World Heavyweight Title itself.
Zach Davis: That's the big one, the big win that mattered. But Price is vicious. After Price's escapades with Jeff's fiancee Kari, Price took Jeff out of action for several weeks.
Shannan Lerch: And don't forget, the "x factor," Sarah Twilight. Thanks to the WCF Board of Directors, she got herself positioned as the Special Guest Referee. Which is bullshit, if you ask me; I think she just wanted in on the main event, myself.
Zach Davis: She's just one of MANY people tired of Eric Price and she wants to make sure there aren't any shenanigans. However, it IS worth pointing out that she's a member of Genesis, and Purse is a member of Pantheon... so they're not exactly friends, of course.
Shannan Lerch: Well we're going to have to wait all night to see what happens. We've also got a match we never thought we'd see... FINALLY... Jay Price goes one on one with Torture.
Zach Davis: From the moment Jay Price started establishing himself in this company, we waited to see this match. But despite all the animosity between the two... it never happened. Not one on one.
Shannan Lerch: And now the one thing Torture hasn't accomplished yet is on the line. His Hall of Fame status. If he wins, he gets in. If not... he doesn't. And you have to think that Jay Price has something similar in mind. If he wins here, he'll be the only man in HISTORY that can say he beat both Logan and Torture in singles matches at a One event... sounds like Hall of Fame credentials to me.
Zach Davis: Seth has claimed that the only reason Torture has the legendary status that he does is because Seth made it happen, Seth "protected" him throughout his tenure. Well, tonight, we find out just how true that is, and if Torture can get the job done.
Shannan Lerch: Speaking of Seth, he's competing tonight... against the one and only... Jonny Fly. To be honest, Zach, I'm terrified.
Zach Davis: There's a LOT on the line here, of course. Namely, the ownership of the company. This match has been in the works for months now, we can see, but the ownership part? THAT'S a surprise.
Shannan Lerch: Months and months ago, Seth was put into jail, framed by Fly. He was broken out, of course. That, we all knew. But what we DIDN'T know is that when Fly was incarcerated, that was Seth's doing. Supposedly. According to Fly, Seth was drugging him, which caused quite a bit of.. erratic behavior. But soon Jonny got out, brought Jay Price with him, used his considerable fortune to trick Seth into selling his share of the company to him, and now.. here we are.
Zach Davis: This is a No DQ match, so I'm not sure who that favors here. Jonny has Pantheon behind him, but Seth has to have SOME kind of gameplan. We'll see.
Shannan Lerch: The vacant Tag Team Titles will be decided as Odin Balfore and Benjamin Atreyu take on the Homegrown Players, Steve Orbit and Waylon Cash. Steve Orbit sure could be the One MVP, because he's also defending his United States Title tonight against Stuart Slane.
Zach Davis: That US Title match will be our opener, I've now been told! Starting things off right here at One. Orbit and Slane have spent the last few weeks going back and forth trying to expose one another. Orbit, a drug dealing pimp, and Slane, an overbearing, psychotic scoutmaster... oh, WCF. Never change.
Shannan Lerch: As for the Tag Titles contest, Waylon Cash spent quite a while battling against Future Gods Inc., Benjamin Atreyu and Gein Spector, earlier this year. Atreyu and Spector both left the company and Cash thought he was free of them... until Atreyu came back, and here we are.
Zach Davis: The death of Johnny Nova has lead to something that just may be the most sadistic match on the card. Nathan von Liebert is the one responsible for Nova's death, and FPV is coming for him. In a Crucifixtion match, with Nathan's GEW Deathmatch Title on the line.
Shannan Lerch: This all started when Nathan von Liebert took the Polar Phantasm out of action. Phantasm and FPV were WCF's Romeo and Juliet, best friends that represented different factions, be it the Darkside of Treachery or Genesis, and Pantheon. Nathan's done many, many horrible things... and he took Phantasm away.
Zach Davis: FPV came to Phantasm's rescue, but it was too late. After that, the two of them began their war with one another, but none of us thought that war would include the DEATH of someone.. in quite a grotesque fashion. I just... I don't know. I hope FPV punishes Nathan for what he's done.
Shannan Lerch: Quite a while ago, Seth announced that a Legends Match would take place at One. We never expected for that Legends Match to include former World Champion, Skyler Striker! He's up against Gravedigger tonight.
Zach Davis: I can't wait. This isn't your typical "legend comes back" type of match, Skyler Striker has been competing recently, and at Slam, he's shown he hasn't lost a step. He can "go" with the best of them.
Shannan Lerch: Keep in mind, Zach, Gravedigger is more than just a legend. Striker had his time several years ago, but Gravedigger has been competing at a main event level for years since he was gone. Gravedigger is more than just a legend, and it's going to take everything Skyler Striker has to defeat him.
Zach Davis: In yet another long awaited matchup, we will finally see Roy Speede take on the commissioner, Brad Kane. Kane and Speede have been battling one another since 2011, and Speede's entry into the company. For a while we didn't think we'd get this match, as Speede repeatedly called out Brad, but to no avail. Eventually, just as we thought the Kanes had left the company, Christopher attacked Roy and let him know that the challenge was, indeed, accepted.
Shannan Lerch: The Hardcore Championship isn't on the line here but something even more important is: pride. No matter who wins this one I doubt we'll be hearing the end of it any time soon.
Zach Davis: In a surprise twist, our Television Title match will now be John Gable versus Steeltoe Joe versus Synn. We saw Gable win the Contendership Rush tournament, guarenteeing him a Title match at One, which we thought would be against Henri Ducos. However, last week, Synn cashed in his #1 Contender status and was actually able to defeat Ducos, a feat we all thought near impossible.
Shannan Lerch: After Synn and Gravedigger's troubles with Prophecy, there were already plans for Synn versus Steeltoe Joe, which is how Joe got into the mix and how this became a Triple Threat. Ducos' whereabouts are, as of now, unknown.
Zach Davis: The Internet Title will be decided between Kaylyn James Evans and the young Christopher Kane. This is a rematch from Slam a short while ago, but things were very different back then. Both Kaylyn and Christopher see each other in a new light now.
Shannan Lerch: Well, hopefully. It seemed like they were flirting a little bit recently, but I mean... Christopher is jailbait for Kaylyn. And what about Scott Savage? He has this bizarre hold on Kaylyn that I never thought we'd see from him. It's disturbing.
Zach Davis: Kale Windsor won himself a People's Title match against Tek. The Wildcard holds a victory against FPV, which isn't something very many people can say. 2012 saw the People's Title become one of the most prestigious belts in the company, so I'm quite sure Tek won't be looking to lose it any time soon.
Shannan Lerch: 2012 also saw Kale Windsor fighting to establish himself here among the greats, and I'm quite sure that winning the People's Title at One would be his crowning achievement. We'll see if he can pull it off.
Zach Davis: Adam Young called out Doc Henry, challenging him to a Confederate Title match. However, when Doc came to answer the challenge, he decided to give the shot to "The Hardcore Redneck" John Thomas instead. Thomas and Henry are friends and allies, so this should be an exciting matchup.
Shannan Lerch: Harkie has been looking to prove himself as a hardcore competitor, and as such, was set to face Damien Daye in a hardcore match. However, Daye must have been scared, because he disappeared. Instead, Harkie has been given two other competitors for this match: Michael Santiago and The Ninja.
Zach Davis: Both men have been making waves as of late. Santiago was betrayed by his tag team partner Apathy on our last edition of Slam, as she joined with Prophecy. That was bizarre. Anyway, it should be an exciting matchup.
Shannan Lerch: We've also got a big Over The Top Battle Royal. Blizzard, Andy Ohno, Miyoko Shiokawa-Reeves, Fergus Callghan, Chris Guy, Rutherford von Newman, Apathy, and newcomer The Immortal Gladiator are all competing! Only One man can walk out as the winner. One man, at One. Hah, get it?
Zach Davis: Yes, but not very funny. Anyway, our main event's special guest referee, Sarah Twilight, will also compete early in the night... against Hadrian Burke, formerly known as Famine of the Vile.
Shannan Lerch: File this one under "long awaited matchups" as well, Zach. SEVERAL months ago Famine blamed Sarah for him being taken out from the company for quite a while; however, Famine disappeared before they could ever fight one on one. Famine came back, but Sarah had disappeared by then, too. Then SARAH came back aanndd finally... at One... here we are.
Zach Davis: I think Seth is hoping that Burke takes Sarah out so severely that she won't be able to referee tonight's match. And that plan COULD succeed, honestly, knowing Sarah and Burke.
Shannan Lerch: Well fans, those are your matches for tonight. I'd say it's about time to....
Zach Davis: START. THE. SHOW!
Zach Davis: Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for one of the most anticipated matches of the night, the United States title match!
“Follow Me, Boys!” plays as Stu marches out from the back, silently mouthing the lyrics to his theme as he heads down the ramp. He does a circuit around the outside of the ring before climbing the steps and entering. After some last minute old timey calisthenics (Indian twists, deep knee bends, etc) The Scoutmaster goes his corner. He hands his hat and sash off to a WCF stagehand and assumes a fighting position.
Shannan Lerch: Former Internet champion, "Scoutmaster" Stuart Slane is looking to add another belt to his collection.
Zach Davis: If he can defeat the Mack and become the United States champion, this just may be the biggest night of his career.
"Flashlight" by Parlaiment Funkadellic plays over the PA. The arena goes dark and a pink strobe light flashes throughout the arena. Small pink lights swirl around the crowd and the entire arena and eventually converge into one big pink spotlight as "The Mack" Steve Orbit appears at the top of the aisle. Steve takes his time, strutting down the ramp, talking to fans who mostly cheer him on-- however, he does occasionally offend a girl or two with his sometimes rude, sexual comments. At ringside he begins the process of taking off whatever pimp attire he is wearing that night, whether its a mink coat, designer suit, etc and always hands his gold chains and his hat to a ring hand. His in-ring attire consists of black spandex shorts with "Pimpin" on the back in pink, and pink boots. He has a body that resembles a model more than a wrestler, he is perfectly chiseled and cut, but he is not huge and muscular like some wrestlers. He continues to flirt with the girls in the crowd as he enters the ring, showing off his body and blowing kisses. The crowd goes bananas when he hits the ring, as OR-BIT chants are heard all over the arena.
Zach Davis: Here he is, the longest reigning US champ in WCF history, Steve Orbit.
Shannan Lerch: Orbit and Slane have a score to settle here tonight, a feud that has actually been brewing for many months, and finally exploded in the last few weeks.
Zach Davis: And tonight it's all on the line as they finally meet one-on-one on the WCF's grandest stage!
Orbit hands the United States belt to the ref, who holds it over his head before calling for the bell.
DING DING DING
Orbit and Slane waste no time, charging at each other like two rabid animals as the bell rings. Orbit lands a few kicks to Slane's side-- Slane connects with a few body shots, as an all-out brawl ensues.
Zach Davis: Scoutmaster is intent on taking that belt away from Orbit-- and the Mack is focused on revenge for numerous attacks, dating back to September!
Shannan Lerch: These guys hate each other about as much as any other two men you could name in the WCF-- it's gotten EXTREMELY personal in the last couple weeks, with Orbit even paying a visit to Slane's wife... or ex-wife? I'm not sure if they're officially divorced yet.
The ref calls for the two men to break it up, stepping in between and forcing them to seperate. They break, but Slane steps right back in with a big right hand, sending Orbit reeling back. Slane charges with a shoulder block, knocking Orbit to the mat.
Zach Davis: Slane will be looking to use his brute strength as a counter to Orbit's speed and ring savvy.
Slane lays in a few stomps to Orbit's upper body. As Slane reaches down to pull Orbit off the mat, Orbit sends a forearm to the side of Slane's leg, dropping him to a knee. Orbit starts to get to his feet, kneeing Slane in the side, and finally hitting a hard kick to the back of Slane's head.
Shannan Lerch: Now it's Slane on the mat.
Zach Davis: Scoutmaster's record has been almost flawless in the WCF-- but the Mack has consistently performed well in big match situations like this, I think we are seeing a historic match unfold right now.
Orbit mounts Slane, drilling him in the head with right hands. With Slane still on the mat, Orbit leaps high in the air and drops a leg across Slane's chest. Orbit quickly bounces back to his feet, grabbing both of Slane's legs and snapping them like a wishbone, before he lays a big stomp to Slane's crotch.
Zach Davis: The ref is warning Orbit, I don't think he's listening.
Orbit continues the assault, pulling Slane to his feet and sending him face-first into the turnbuckle. As Slane holds his face, stunned, Orbit waits, loosening up his wrist--
Shannan Lerch: PIMP SLAP! Orbit follows with a Codebreaker, something different than we are used to seeing!
Zach Davis: Both men will be pulling out all the stops tonight-- Orbit with the pin!
Shannan Lerch: Slane with a shoulder up before two!
Orbit takes a moment to mock Slane, giving the three-finger salute to the crowd. The crowd pops huge. Slane begins to shake off the Codebreaker, getting to a knee-- Orbit pulls him up and wraps his arms around, hitting a reverse atomic drop. Slane doubles over--
Zach Davis: Orbit leaps and hits a leg drop bulldog!
Shannan Lerch: The Mack is in complete control of this match so far.
Orbit kicks Slane a few times while he's down, before mounting his back and locking in a camel clutch.
Zach Davis: Now it's Steve Orbit with a submission maneuver.
Shannan Lerch: I doubt he'll get a submission this early, especially not from the Scoutmaster. Orbit's just looking to wear him down.
A few moments pass with the camel clutch locked in, in the center of the ring. The ref checks Slane a couple times, who refuses to submit.
Zach Davis: Slane is fighting with everything he's got. It looks like he's... yes, he's trying to push himself up off the mat-- he's off the mat, with Orbit on his back!
With Orbit trying to keep the hold locked in, Slane makes one big push, getting to his feet and then toppling over backwards-- Orbit releases the hold but it's too late, and Slane crushes Orbit on the mat in the process, landing on top of him back-first.
Shannan Lerch: What a display of strength by the Scoutmaster.
Slane rolls off of Orbit, who is feeling the effects of being crushed by the weight of Slane's body. Both men are slow to get up, but it's Orbit who gets back to his feet first-- he approaches Slane, trying to keep his momentum going despite the setback, but Slane hits a chop to Orbit's throat. Orbit stumbles back, holding his throat. Slane gets back to his feet.
Zach Davis: And now Slane is letting Orbit have it. Big right hands by the Scoutmaster.
Slane backs Orbit into a corner, and hits him with shoulder thrust after shoulder thrust. Slane grabs Orbit by the back of his head and slams him face first onto the mat. Slane puts his boot on the back of Orbit's neck and presses down, using the ropes for leverage.
Zach Davis: The ref starts the five count and... Slane releases at four.
Slane pulls Orbit off the mat and hits a standard bodyslam. Orbit arches his back in pain. Now it's Slane mocking Orbit as he does an awkward "pimp strut" across the ring. The crowd boos fiercely.
Shannan Lerch: I think it's clear who the WCF fans would rather see walk away with the United States title tonight.
Slane again pulls Orbit off the mat and throws him over his shoulder. He executes a running powerslam, followed by a pin attempt.
Zach Davis: And Orbit kicks out before two. Neither one of these guys is going down easy, that's for sure.
Scoutmaster gets to his feet, leaning over Orbit who is still on the mat. Slane smacks Orbit across the face.
Zach Davis: Maybe a little revenge for that Pimp Slap earlier.
Orbit gets to a knee, Slane grabs him in a side headlock. Orbit tries to resist, but to no use. After a moment, Slane lifts Orbit into a vertical position, and drops him in a brainbuster.
Shannan Lerch: These big moves have got to be taking a lot out of the US champ.
Slane waits, eyeing Orbit as he slowly gets back to his feet. As Orbit gets up, Slane charges and hits running spear, lifting Orbit up and dropping him into a spinebuster!
Zach Davis: Another HUGE move by Slane, and he pins Orbit, hooking the leg!
Shannan Lerch: New champ?!
Zach Davis: NO, Orbit kicks out!
Shannan Lerch: The Mack is showing why he's the champ right now, Zach.
Orbit is on the mat, barely moving. Slane takes a quick breather, walking around the ring, as if he's deciding what to do next. Orbit tries to get up to a knee, but falls back down.
Zach Davis: Slane could be one big move away from the United States belt.
Orbit finally makes it to his feet. Slane approaches, Orbit takes a wild swing which does not connect. Slane elbows Orbit in the gut and puts him over his shoulder in a fireman's carry--
Shannan Lerch: Orbit's fighting back!
Zach Davis: The crowd is really getting behind the Mack as he sends elbow shots to Scoutmaster's head!
Slane begins to lose control of Orbit--
Zach Davis: ORBIT ROLLS SLANE INTO A CRUCIFIX PIN!
Shannan Lerch: NO, Slane powers out! But what a reversal by Steve Orbit!
Both men get back to their feet rather quickly. Orbit looks rejuvenated by the crowd cheering him on. Slane swings a right hand, Orbit blocks it and hits a right hand of his own. Orbit starts kicking at Slane's leg, eventually causing him to drop to a knee. Slane catches the next kick--
Zach Davis: Orbit with an enzuigiri, catching Slane right in the temple!
Slane is on one knee, reeling-- Orbit assumes the Crane position on one leg, and snaps off a Crane kick to a huge pop from the crowd.
Shannan Lerch: Slane is down, Orbit covers him!
Zach Davis: Close, but Scoutmaster gets the shoulder up!
Shannan Lerch: And Orbit is back on his knees, obviously using a lot of energy during that last assault on Slane.
Zach Davis: Both of these guys have put up a hell of a fight. I don't know what it's gonna take to end this one.
Orbit slowly makes his way to a corner, and climbs the turnbuckles. Slane is starting to stir, slowly getting up. As Slane gets to his feet, Orbit leaps off and connects with a double axehandle smash, putting Slane on the mat once more.
Zach Davis: Orbit's looking alive again. He's going back to the corner, climbing the turnbuckles...
Shannan Lerch: This could be trouble for Slane--
Orbit leaps off the top turnbuckle, landing a perfect somersault senton splash!
Zach Davis: OAKLAND SPLASH! Orbit hooks the leg, it's over!
Shannan Lerch: KICKOUT! Slane kicked out!
Zach Davis: Scoutmaster kicked out of the Oakland Splash! I don't believe it!
Shannan Lerch: I don't think the Mack believes it either!
Orbit looks beside himself, arguing with the ref about the two count. He stomps Slane a few times before groggily pulling him off the mat. Orbit goes behind, putting Slane in a half-nelson--
Zach Davis: Orbit's setting Slane up for the Honey Dip--
Shannan Lerch: Scoutmaster is resisting with all he's got left, trying to elbow his way out.
Slane connects with a back elbow between the eyes, Orbit releases the half-nelson and stumbles back holding his face. Slane holds himself up with the ropes, breathing heavily. Orbit gathers himself and approaches Slane, looking to grab him-- Slane kicks Orbit in the gut, and dives forward, spearing Orbit to the ground. Both men are laid out on the mat, breathing heavily.
Shannan Lerch: Slane might have saved himself there, but both of these guys are totally wiped out.
After a few moments of both men not moving, the ref starts the ten count.
Zach Davis: It can't end like this. Not like this.
Slane tries to get up, but falls right back down.
The crowd really starts to get into it, cheering for Orbit.
Orbit sits up to a huge crowd pop. Slane tries to get up once more.
Shannan Lerch: The crowd is really behind Orbit, but it looks like they are both starting to come to their senses.
Both men reach their feet.
Orbit lunges towards Slane, but Slane ducks and quickly goes behind him, putting him in a half-nelson--
Zach Davis: Uh-oh!
From the half-nelson, Slane lifts Orbit into an Olympic Slam!
Shannan Lerch: SCOUTMASTER SLAM!
Zach Davis: Here's the pin, new US champ!
Shannan Lerch: SHOULDER UP! Orbit gets the shoulder up!
Zach Davis: UNBELIEVABLE! How much more punishment can either one of these guys take?!
Again, both men are laid out. A few moments pass, both men get to their knees. Slane crawls towards Orbit, and they begin trading right hands on their knees, sending each other reeling with each punch.
Shannan Lerch: I don't think either one of them knows where they are right now.
For a moment they stop brawling, and get to their feet. They tie-up, and Slane powers Orbit into a corner. Orbit thumbs Slane's eye out of desperation, and hops up onto the top turnbuckle.
Zach Davis: Going high-risk at this point in the match-- it's all or nothing.
Slane grabs the ropes, causing Orbit to lose his balance, and he's crotched on the top turnbuckle. Slane climbs to the second turnbuckle, and again, the two men trade punches. Slane climbs to the top turnbuckle and now it's both men reaching around each other, trying to get an advantage.
Shannan Lerch: This is not going to end well.
Orbit elbows at Slane's head, but Slane manages to grab ahold of Orbit-- Slane PRESSES ORBIT OVER HIS HEAD while standing on the top turnbuckle, and drops him in a flapjack powerslam off the top! He drapes an arm over Orbit, pinning him.
Shannan Lerch: [GASP]
Zach Davis: OH... MY... GOD
DING DING DING
"Follow Me, Boys!" plays over the PA.
Zach Davis: "SCOUTMASTER" STUART SLANE IS THE NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION!
Shannan Lerch: What a match. What a BATTLE.
Zach Davis: We saw the Mack and Slane taken to their absolute limit tonight. It could have went either way, but in the end, it's Slane with the victory, and with it, he ends the longest United States title reign in WCF history.
Both men are still laid out on the mat. The ref attends to both men, and calls for additional medical personnel to check on them. As additional staff comes out from the back, a woman also comes out...
Shannan Lerch: Who's that?
Zach Davis: That's Ms. Mercedes... Chris Guy's valet?!
Indeed Ms. Mercedes makes her way over to Orbit. She kneels down next to him, asking if he's ok and rubbing his head.
Zach Davis: What the hell is going on? Does Orbit even know where he is right now?
Shannan Lerch: He probably thinks that's Havana Ginger.
Ms. Mercedes helps Orbit to his feet, and they begin to head towards the back.
Shannan Lerch: Well, they don't call him the Mack for nothing-- WAIT!
Chris Guy comes from out of nowhere and cracks Orbit over the head with a chair!
Zach Davis: Sneak attack! These two had a little spat on twitter recently, I guess Chris Guy is making it physical!
Ms. Mercedes immediately joins Chris Guy, kissing him passionately. They stand proudly over Orbit's fallen body.
Camera opens as a semi hauling 7 2013 lincons pull up to the outside of the arena near the loading doors. The semi driver gets out of the semi with clippboard in hand. As he walks up the one of the event staff.
Semi Driver: I'm looking for Harkie I have a delivery i need him to sign for.
Event Staff: Nice lincons let me radio to find out where he is.
As the Semi Driver and Event Staff member are talking the unknown masked man appears by the semi looking at the lincons. As the masked man walks around the other side the camera man finally notices hes carrying a can of gas. As the masked man walks around to the other side he climbs the ladder on the semi trailer starting to dump gas over the trailer and cars. The masked man climbs down the trailer and throws a match engulfing the trailer and cars in fire.
Event Staff: HOLY SHIT YOUR SEMI IS ON FIRE.
Semi Driver: HOLY FUCK.
Event staff gets on the radio screming for Harkie and the Fire Dept to be called for a semi fire. Harkie walks out a side door near the semi trailer engulfed in flames with 7 of his brand new lincons. Harkie starts laughing as the Fire Dept shows up to put the fire out.
Shannan Lerch: Up next, we are about to finally put an end to something that has been brewing since the early part of last year.
Zach Davis: Hadrian Burke...or Famine of the Vile, and Sarah Twilight have waged a bitter war with one another almost since the very moment they entered the company. It all began with Twilight winning a number one contendership spot to face then champion, Jonny Fly for the world title. That..didn't sit well with Famine.
Shannan Lerch: Not in the least. After a few weeks suspension for using performance enhancing substances, Famine would make his presence known and he zeroed in on Twilight as the person who blew the whistle on him.
Zach Davis: Things only escalated from there. Famine would try to crucify Twilight in the center of the ring. Sarah would go on to abduct the Vile one and attempt to cremate him...alive! I mean it got CRAZY!
Shannan Lerch: It seemed as though things had settled down for a while, but they would pick right back up at Helloween. They picked up right where they left off!
Zach Davis: And now, after Seth had decided to let them finish this once and for all, he's thrown them into a match with Street Fight rules! I have to say that is probably most appropriate for these two.
Shannan Lerch: Without a doubt two of the most sadistic individuals to ever step foot in a WCF ring.
Zach Davis: Oh absolutely. Well we get ready as Kyle Steel is standing by.
Kyle Steel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it will be contested under STREET FIGHT RULES!
The crowd ERUPTS.
The lights go out as a spotlight centers on stage. Piano chords begin a haunting melody, accompanied by heavy drum beats. The crowd begins to cheer MASSIVELY as the video wall displays the words THE ONLY ONE.
Kyle Steel: Making her way to the ring, hailing from Los Angeles, California, and weighing in at 142lbs, she is...."The Mistress of Mischief" SARAH TWILIGHT!
Pyros shoot up from the stage as our melody finally kicks into guitar. "The Only One" by Evanescence continues to play as Sarah finally walks out onto the stage. She is greeted with deafening cheers and soaks them all in. The vibrant redhead confidently swaggers towards the ring and steps inside. Pyros now shoot off from the ring posts and Sarah takes to each turnbuckle in succession, pointing out toward the crowd and smiling. The cheers become even LOUDER. As the music continues, Sarah rolls outside of the ring and finds a young fan sitting at ringside. She removes her signature "You Don't Matter" tee shirt that she wears over her wrestling attire and gives it to the young fan before returning to the ring as the music dies down.
Kyle Steel: And her opponent...
"The End of Heartache" by Killswitch Engage begins to play as the lights in the arena begin to strobe.
Kyle Steel: Hailing from Los Angeles, California by way of Gothenburg, Sweden...weighing in at 267lbs...he is "The Demon King" FAMINE OF THE VILE!!!!!!
The entrance ramp fills with smoke as Famine makes his way out from the back. He walks forward and stops for a moment before continuing to walk down to the ring as the music continues to play. The crowd boos in unison as the Demon King continues to walk toward the ring. However, Sarah never waits for him to gt all the way to the ring as she rolls out, meeting The Vile One on the ramp. The two begin exchanging blows immediately. Referee Emily Westbrook calls for the bell.
Zach Davis: And this one gets under way in a hurry! Sarah Twilight not wanting to wait for the formalities!
Shannan Lerch: And that's the thing with street fight rules. They don't have to be in the ring...at all.
Zach Davis: Exactly. Expect this to get violent..and FAST!
Back on the ramp, Sarah fires off some hard fists at Famine, keeping at him with nothing but hatred in her eyes. Famine responds with a hard whip into the barricade in which he follows up with a clothesline that takes both Sarah, and him over and into the crowd. Emily Westbrook follows them into the crowd. They continue battling toward the staging area. Famine launches Sarah into some lighting equipment and she crashes through the various poles holding up the lighting fixtures. The aluminum and steel beams echo throughout the arena as they crash against the concrete floor. Famine moves in to follow up, but Sarah takes hold of one of the light fixtures and she SMASHES it into his face! Backing him off. As Famine stumbles back from the blow, Sarah stays on him, taking up some of the electrical cords from the equipment and she wraps the cord around his throat, squeezing tightly.
Zach Davis: Like I said, this is already getting extremely violent!
Shannan Lerch: You have to wonder what is going through their heads right now. Both of them are just so damn sick and twisted when it comes to each other.
Zach Davis: I would guess that....causing pain to the other is what is going through their minds right now.
Famine gasps for air as Sarah yanks and tugs on the cord, strangling him. She continues to tighten her grip, twisting the cord repeatedly to strangle him even further. Famine's face is turning blue...and then purple. But finally, he manages to find an opening and he sends a sharp elbow back into her gut which causes her to release her grip enough for him to get himself free. Famine gasps in sweet oxygen as the grip of the cord is loosened and removed. Sarah backs off after the elbow shot, but rushes back in after her adversary. However, Famine sees her coming and hoists her up for a back body drop and she hits the concrete floor HARD!
Zach Davis: Ooooh! That HAD to hurt! Sarah Twilight just sent crashing into that hard concrete floor.
Shannan Lerch: This one might be over after THAT. Is she out or what?
With Sarah down, Famine catches his breath. After a few moments, he begins scanning the area for something else to inflict damage. Unsatisfied with the choices in his present field of view, he moves off to the side of the staging area and through the curtain to the backstage portion of the arena. Sarah slowly moves to her side, holding her back and she begins to make it to her feet.
Zach Davis: Famine disappeared backstage somewhere and Twilight starting back to her feet. No pinfall attempts as of yet.
Shannan Lerch: Are you kidding? No way they want to end it this early. Both of them are out for blood!
Sarah finally makes it to her feet and she starts off backstage after Famine. Emily Westbrook and our camera crew follow suit.Backstage, Sarah heads down the corridors looking everywhere for her foe. Reaching an opening to a large dining area where the catering equipment is stored, she is blindsided as Famine rushes her with a utility cart, driving her into the wall! Sarah is forced back HARD against the cement and crashes down to the floor. Famine searches the cart for something to his liking. He discards a multitude of items, finally settling on a two inch cork screw.
Zach Davis: Uh oh! This doesn't look good. Twilight blindsided and I don't think she realizes yet what Famine has come up with.
Shannan Lerch: I don't think I can watch this!
Famine takes the cork screw and he digs it into the left side of Sarah's abdomen, twisting and grinding it in. Sarah yells out in agony as the utensil rips at her flesh. Famine grinds it in as far as it can go before he looks up at a horrified Westbrook and screams at her.
Famine of the Vile: Ask her! Ask this bitch if she quits!
He continues to turn the screw back and forth, trying to cause as much pain as possible. Westbrook finally kneels down alongside Sarah and asks for the submission. Famine unrelenting as he tries to force as much suffering as he can.
Sarah Twilight: Fuck you!
Famine digs the cork screw in again and Sarah groans with despair. She reaches her left hand outward, reaching for the utility cart. She manages to get her fingertips onto the item she was probing for. An empty coffee pot. Famine keeps the pressure on, not noticing her reaching. She manages to get a good hold on the handle of the glass container and she smashes it right into Famine's face, busting his forehead open! The Vile One staggers back. This gives Sarah some much needed time to remove the cork screw from her flesh. She careful twists the object in reverse, slowly pulling it from her abdomen. With one final groan of pain she removes the cork screw and discards it. Blood oozes from the wound.
Zach Davis: That was...one of the most disturbing things I have ever witnessed. I can't unsee what I've just seen!
Shannan Lerch: Dear God! How did she even endure something like that? That was horrible!
Famine wears a crimson mask and is dazed by the shot from the coffee pot. Meanwhile, Sarah starts throwing things out from the utility cart, searching nearby drawers and looking around for something useful. She settles upon an industrial stapler. As Famine gets back to one knee, Sarah blasts him in the side of the head with it. Once he is back down, she doesn't hesitate to use the device in the way she had intended.
The sound of the staple emerging from the gun is loud as ever as she drives one of the staples into his back. Famine now yells out in misery as the pain shoots through him.
Twice more she drives staples into his flesh and he continues to groan in pain. Sarah rolls him over, placing the stapler to his forehead.
Sarah Twilight: Now Quit, mother fucker!
Famine coughs out a bit of a laugh as he responds.
Famine of the Vile: Hell no, bitch!
With that answer, Sarah sends a final staple right into the gash that was already on his forehead from the coffee pot. Famine howls in agony and jumps up at the searing pain, using all of his force, he SHOVES Twilight off of him. Sarah tumbles back against the cart and Famine gets to his feet, furiously looking around for something. He starts toward the main counter of the catering area. Sarah is back up and she heads right after Famine who grabs hold of the first thing within reach...a toaster oven and YANKS it from the counter, pulling the cord from the wall socket and everything. And he WAFFLES Sarah right in the head with it! Now Sarah also wears a crimson mask as she is busted open by the blow.
Zach Davis: I don't even know what to say anymore. These two are just....brutal!
Shannan Lerch: This is nothing short of a blood bath and I don't see how either one of them are going to make it out of this.
Zach Davis: This is just...damn near murderous.
Sarah is down and dazed as she starts making her way down the corridors on wobbly legs, searching for anything she can use. Meanwhile, Famine sets his sights on a leather weight lifters belt that he securely takes hold of. He stalks her down the corridor. When he catches up to her.
He sends the leather strap down across her back. Sarah yells out in agony once again as she stumbles forward.
Again he slaps the belt across her back and again she stumbles forward, now through the entrance curtain and onto the main stage. Famine emerges through the curtain as well, still in hot pursuit. He sends the belt crashing down again.
He misses! As Sarah sidesteps the attempt the belt hits the steel of the stage. Twilight with a well placed kick to the gut and a HARD DDT, sending Famines face down into the steel. She takes a good portion of the blow as well as her back crashes into the same structure.
Zach Davis: Oooooh! Famine planted into the stage. This is Sarah's opportunity. But she is in no better shape.
Shannan Lerch: This is the kind of thing that shortens careers. Both of them are putting each other through complete HELL here tonight.
Sarah slowly gets to her knees and makes her way toward the scaffolding surrounding the main entry and grabs hold. She looks back at Famine momentarily before beginning her ascent.
Zach Davis: What the hell is she doing? Is she crazy?
Shannan Lerch: I think that's pretty obvious. You have to be a nutcase in order to take part in something like this.
Sarah begins climbing the side of the entrance toward the main scaffold above. Famine starts to his feet, and noticing where she was headed, begins to follow. Famine starts rung by rung on the side of the entrance, moving up quickly behind Sarah who now makes it to the scaffold some fifty feet above. Famine is there soon after. The two of them precariously up above the stage and staging areas.
Zach Davis: This is completely insane! They have lost their damn minds!
Shannan Lerch: Oh no. I think those two crazy asses know exactly what they're doing.
Holding on to some guiding rods above the scaffold that are held in place with pulley wires the two begin another exchange. Famine BLASTS Sarah's head into the video wall and she swings wildly, almost falling from the scaffold. Though she manages to maintain her balance. A kick to Famine and then HIS head is bounced off the video wall garnering the same result. He too is able to keep his balance thanks to the guiding poles. Famine responds with a kick of his own and he pulls Sarah in, setting up for the Hellseeker!
Zach Davis: OH MY GOD! From all the way up there?
Shannan Lerch: He's gonna kill her!
Famine moves to pull her down from the scaffold with his maneuver, however, she pulls with all of her force using the poles and squirms out at the last moment. Famine loses his balance and plummets from the scaffold. His foot gets caught up in one of the pulley wires and he descends rapidly head first toward the staging area with various sound equipment below. He stops JUST short of crashing into the set as the pulley wire tightens and stops his fall just shy. Though the tension on the wire doesn't appear is though it will hold long.
Zach Davis: DAMN!! That was about as close a call as ever! That may have actually killed him.
Shannan Lerch: Famine is a lucky man tonight. Looks like we'll need some crew to come out and get him down.
Before any crew can come to Famine's aid, Sarah looks down at her rival, a mischievous sparkle in her eye. She steps to the edge of the scaffold.
Zach Davis: What the hell is she thinking? That's FIFTY FEET!
Shannan Lerch: This is going to end badly...VERY BADLY!
Without any hesitation, Sarah LEAPS down from the scaffold and rapidly falls the entire FIFTY FEET into Famine's FACE with a double ghetto stomp that sends BOTH stars CRASHING into the sound equipment. There is a LOUD pop as the speakers blow out from the impact. Their bodies are a crumpled mess among the various metallic items and the cement floor below. Neither of them is moving after the drop.
Crowd: HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!
Zach Davis: OH MY GOD THEY'RE BOTH DEAD!
Shannan Lerch: I don't believe...what I just saw! We need HELP out here!
With the way their bodies had landed, somehow Sarah's arm is barely draped over the equally limp body of Famine. Emily Westbrook makes the count..if for nothing else, just to end the misery.
Kyle Steel: The winner of this match....'The Mistress of Mischief' SARAH TWILIGHT!!
Zach Davis: I don't know how anyone could be a winner after THAT! Neither of them are moving. I don't know if either of the CAN move. This is the most horrific thing I have ever witnessed!
Shannan Lerch: They came here for blood...and they got it. I don't know if either of them will ever be the same after that.
Zach Davis: I've just received word from Joe Smith that he has BREAKING NEWS.
A live feed finds it's way onto the jumbotron where a anxiously awaiting Joe Smith - awaits.
Joe Smith: Guys! A few minutes ago I was walking down the hall back here to interview some jobber and then...
Smith points down to his discovery and the camera follows revealing... a torn open emptied mustard packet. Some buzzing flies within the arena.
Zach Davis: A mustard packet?!
Shannan Lerch: Could that be...?
Zach Davis: Who knows, Shannan. Who knows.
Joe Smith: Another packet of mustard was found a few feet from this one along with the crumbs of a hotdog bun.
The buzzing inside the arena grows much stronger now.
Joe Smith: I'll stay on the trail and keep everyone updated.
The tron fades.
Zach Davis: Hotdog bun crumbs... mustard.
Shannan Lerch: Logan.
Zach Davis: Yup.
We come back from an ad for WCF's next PPV as Blizzard, Andy Ohno, Miyoko, Callghan, Guy, RvN, Apathy, and the Immortal Gladiator are all in the ring.
Zach Davis: Time for this huge battle royal, aanndd here we go!
The bell sounds and all hell breaks loose! Blizzard attacks Andy Ohno, Miyoko and Fergus attack Chris Guy, and the Immortal Gladiator attacks Apathy and RvN.
Shannan Lerch: How do we call this? So much going on!
Blizzard throws Ohno to the ropes and hits a Sidewalk Slam as he comes back. Miyoko and Fergus grab Guy and throw him to the ropes too. Fergus goes for a Flapjack as Miyoko hits a Superkick.
Zach Davis: Laid to Rest!
But no!, Guy avoids the Superkick and rolls away. Miyoko and Fergus stand up and Guy runs at them and Clotheslines them both out of the ring!
Shannan Lerch: There goes Kazoku, the Foreign Exchange! Big elimination by Chris Guy.
Meanwhile, Immortal Gladiator hits Apathy with a Suplex.... right out of the ring!
Zach Davis: And there goes the newest member of Prophecy, Apathy!
RvN hits several forearms to Immortal Gladiator's back after that. Gladiator shrugs them off and spins around, hitting a big Enziguri Kick right to RvN's head!
Shannan Lerch: Hopefully that knocked some sense into him!
RvN stumbles backwards into the ropes and over the top to the outside! Eliminated.
Zach Davis: I'm surprised Corey Black didn't come out here or something at this rate.
Lastly, Blizzard hits Andy Ohno with a huge Powerbomb out of the ring!
Shannan Lerch: The Perfect Storm!
Zach Davis: Aanndd we're down to three people.
Chris Guy and Immortal Gladiator nod to each other and decide to team up against Blizzard. They both hit him with a few stiff shots to the head and then throw him to the ropes, but he reverses it, sending both of them into the ropes instead. As they come back Blizzard hits them with a Clothesline, taking them both down. They get up and Blizzard grabs them both by the throat.
Shannan Lerch: No... he can't... can he?
Blizzard lifts them both up and tosses them over the top rope!, Chokeslamming them out of the ring!
Zach Davis: BLIZZARD WINS!
The bell sounds, and Blizzard has won this big battle royal! His music hits as the ref raises his arm.
Shannan Lerch: What a dominant showing here tonight by Blizzard. This really is his season, after all.
"Well I am Ninja,
We see The Ninja backstage.
The Ninja: Aaron, asks a ninja!
The question pops up.
The Ninja: "What is a ninja's relationship with physics?"
The camera moves back to The Ninja, who is being flashed by cameras.
The Ninja: Gah! Ooh! Ah!
Luckily, security gets rid of the paparazzi.
The Ninja: Can you please leave us alone? MY relationship with physics is MY business! They added this cup of tea because you're not invited to the party, Mr. Rabbit. You stalkerazzi. I WILL NOT BE STALKERAZZIED!
The Ninja starts to calm down after that outburst.
The Ninja: Yes, well not to defy intel. Physics and I, yes, we had a relationship. It's not exclusive anymore. We were for a while, but to be honest, she was really holding me back. When I'm up in the air and coming down for a kill, it's just like "Hey, you know what? I need to hang up here longer than the 'theory of gravity' once more!". I just do it. I just reached a point where you know what? I gotta play my own game. I gotta fall at my own rate. I have to ab-berate at my vector. I'm not gonna apologize at the way I defy Physics.
The Ninja: That's what a science gets when she puts too many rules on a ninja, you know? There's cool sciences out there, I mean Biology. That's a way frickin' cool science. However, I jumped Biology over for Physics in the 50's when everybody was really excited about Physics, you know. Hot new science.
He starts to nod his head.
The Ninja: But the thing about sciences, I'm not trying to tell you anything new here but, sciences are complicated! They'll tell you one thing, and the next thing you know, there's a new discovery that turns everything around its' ear.
Finally, The Ninja poses.
The Ninja: Thanks for the question, Aaron! I look forward to killing you soon!
The titantron fades into black.
Zach Davis: We have more than a few brutal matches tonight... and this one shall be no exception.
Kyle Steel is in the ring for introductions.
Kyle Steel: First, introducing former Tag Team Champion.... Michael Saaantiaaaaago!
The arena lights go dark. Stealthkill by Chrysander is blasted through the arena. Suddenly, pyro is blasted on stage. The Ninja is standing on the titantron, hands on hips with a belt. The crowd starts to cheer. He glides down through the rafters. Nearby the ring, he lets go of the buckle and leaps down on the ring. He lands on his feet and gives the crowd an intense stare. He climbs up the turnbuckle and looks at the crowd. He raises his arm. He gets off and performs a kata. Then, he warms up.
Kyle Steel: Next, former Internet Champion... THEEEEEEEEE NINJAAAAA!
"King of my World" by Saliva cues up over the P.A. system and red strobe lights flood the entrance ramp. The silhouette of a man fills the tunnel and finally Michael Santiago emerges, drawing in the boos and cheers of the crowd as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. He jumps up on the ring apron and climbs through the second rope, looking around at the fans filling the arena, Michael taunts the fans in the center of the ring as the music begins to fade out.
Kyle Steel: And lastly, he is THE ORIGINAL DOCTOR.... HAAAAAAAARKIEEEEEEE!
The bell tolls twice in the start of the song. When the the first bell starts the lights go out in the arena and after the second bell pyros go off on the stage then fog fills the entrance ramp as orange light fills the arena, For Whom the Bell Tolls starts and Harkie makes his way down to the ring as he gets in goes to the center looks up at the roof and raises both arms as pyros go off on all four turnbuckle poles then the lights come back on right after that.
Shannan Lerch: Here we go!
Harkie starts things off with a head of steam, running at Santiago and Clotheslining him down. The Ninja attacks next but Harkie catches his right hand, throws him to the ropes and then picks him up, hitting a Sidewalk Slam!
Zach Davis: Harkie is on fire right out of the gate! He's the only competitor in this match not to have held a Title yet, but being a hardcore match, he does have certain advantages.
Santiago has stumbled up, leaning against the ropes, and Harkie runs at him. Harkie Clotheslines him, sending both competitors flying to the outside.
Shannan Lerch: This one is going outside pretty damn quickly.. to the surprise of nobody, I guess.
Harkie gets back to his feet and is immediately met by a Suicide Dive by The Ninja!
Zach Davis: WHOA!
The Ninja gets up as the crowd cheers him. He picks up Santiago and goes to throw him into the ring steps, but Santiago has had enough of taking punishment; Santiago reverses the irish whip attempt and sends Ninja crashing into the stairs instead. Santiago picks him up and rams him into the ring apron repeatedly before hitting a Snap Suplex on the outside!
Shannan Lerch: Every single move they do out there is that much more painful versus being in the ring.. ouch.
Santiago turns around and is met with a chair crashing to his face courtesy of Harkie!
Zach Davis: The Original Doctor bringing a chair into the mix!
Santiago is sent reeling, stumbling down to his knees at the entrance ramp. He gets back up and Harkie goes for another chair shot, but Santiago sidesteps it and then hits a vicious German Suplex on the entrance ramp!
Shannan Lerch: DAMN!
He keeps it bridged for the pin.
No! Harkie kicks out!
Zach Davis: Close, but no cigar.
Santiago gets up but he's quickly met with an elbow to the back of the head from the Ninja. The Ninja spins Santiago around and hits him with an STO!
Shannan Lerch: Beautifully executed!
The Ninja reaches into his gear and pulls out...
Zach Davis: NUNCHUCKS!
The Ninja demonstrates his nunchuck moves briefly before hitting Harkie with them! The crowd chants "nunchucks! nunchucks!" for a few brief seconds as Ninja pins Harkie, still on the entrance ramp.
No! Harkie kicks out again!
Shannan Lerch: Harkie is one tough sonofabitch, that's for sure.
The Ninja picks Harkie up and puts him in a headlock, taking him all the way up to the entryway now. He hits a stiff Roundhouse Kick, but Harkie goes for a kick of his own. Ninja catches it and reverses it with a Dragonscrew Legwhip!
Zach Davis: Great reversal there!
Once again, Ninja is interrupted. Santiago spins him around and kicks him in the gut before hitting a Double Arm DDT!
Shannan Lerch: OUCH! Santiago just spiked Ninja's face onto the entrance stage!
Santiago pins Ninja, hooking the leg.
NO! Ninja kicks out!
Zach Davis: I'd say all three of these guys are tough! Going into a hardcore match at the biggest show of the year, you do a LOT of preparation. They knew what they were in for.
Santiago stomps at Ninja a few times and then turns towards Harkie who is beginning to get to his feet. He measures Harkie up and picks him up once the time is right.
Shannan Lerch: Death Valley Driver!
But no!, Harkie slips behind Santiago and spins him aruond. Harkie grabs Santiago by the throat, positioning himself at the edge of the stage....
Zach Davis: NO! Harkie is going to Chokeslam Michael Santiago off the stage!
Luckily for Santiago, Ninja interrupts, attacking Harkie. Harkie keeps the grip on Santiago's throat, however, kicks Ninja, and grabs his throat too.
Shannan Lerch: No....
Harkie takes a deep breath before lifting both Santiago and Ninja up by their throats and Chokeslamming them both off the stage!
Zach Davis: OH MY GOD!
The fans begin chanting "HOLY SHIT!" as the bodies of Ninja and Santiago crash into the cold card cement below the stage area! Harkie quickly climbs down there and runs over to the Ninja, pinning him, hooking the leg.
Shannan Lerch: This is it, it's over!
NO! NINJA KICKS OUT!
Zach Davis: What!?
Quickly, Harkie pins Santiago next!
NO! SANTIAGO KICKS OUT TOO!
Shannan Lerch: I don't believe it!
Zach Davis: After a Chokeslam off the stage!? I don't believe it!
And neither can Harkie! He turns to the ref, asking if he's sure it was only two. Harkie picks the Ninja up and positions him...
Shannan Lerch: He's going for the Harkie Driver out there! Come on, this could kill him!
Zach Davis: Given the Ninja's whole shtick, that's ironic. But yeah, you're right!
Ninja uses his leg strength to kick Harkie in the head, luckily, and shifts his weight, escaping the Harkie Driver. Ninja gets to his feet and hits some stiff kicks to Harkie as Harkie goes back on the attack. He's still quite dazed from the Chokeslam but Ninja manages to execute the Ultimo Dragon Kick Combo, sending Harkie stumbling backwards and practically into the crowd! Ninja then climbs back onto the stage.
Shannan Lerch: Where is he going?
Ninja looks at Santiago, who has just begun climbing to his feet.... Ninja jumps off the stage with a Superkick!
Zach Davis: SHADOW KICK FROM THE STAGE!
BUT SANTIAGO MOVES OUT OF THE WAY! Ninja lands on his feet but it's too late, Santiago hits him with a Spinning Heel Kick followed by lifting him up and hitting the Death Valley Driver!
Shannan Lerch: OUCH! Again, we can't emphasize how much just how badly this kind of damage outside of a wrestling ring damages these wrestlers. It's almost criminal.
Instead of going for the pin, Santiago runs at Harkie and starts clobbering him. Harkie and Santiago enter the crowd area, brawling amongst the fans!
Zach Davis: Some lucky ticketholders are getting more than they bargained for tonight!
Harkie and Santiago hit each other with quite a few lefts and rights, neither one getting an edge. Security surrounds them, stopping the crowd from getting too involved, as they move towards the ring.
Shannan Lerch: They're finally coming back to the ringside area. How much of this match actually happened in the ring?
Zach Davis: About twenty seconds max, I'd say!
Finally they make it back to the ring guardrails. Santiago positions Harkie, runs at him, and Clotheslines him, sending both men over and back into the ringside area, finally. Santiago then grabs Harkie's legs and put him into a Sharpshooter!
Shannan Lerch: THE SANTIAGO DEATHLOCK IS APPLIED!
Zach Davis: Can Harkie get out of it!? This might be it, whether he taps or passes out, Santiago could have it!
But Harkie is tough as nails. He yells in pain, but when the ref asks if he wants to give up, he shakes his head no. Meanwhile, the Ninja has slowly walked back to the ringside area as well. He climbs up onto the apron.
Shannan Lerch: NOW where is he going? He should be breaking that Santiago Deathlock up!
Ninja moves to the apron closest to Santiago, takes a deep breath... runs, jumps off the apron and hits a Superkick right to the back of Santiago's head!
Zach Davis: ANOTHER SHADOW KICK! THIS ONE CONNECTS!
Shannan Lerch: SHADOW KICK OFF THE APRON!
Santiago is practically decapitated as he breaks the Santiago Deathlock. Ninja quickly pounces on top of him and pins him.
Zach Davis: What a move!, I can barely believe he kicked out of that.
Ninja picks Harkie up and throws him over to the announce table.... the Spanish announce table.
Shannan Lerch: Uh oh. Not good for our spanish colleagues!
Ninja runs at Harkie, but Harkie sidesteps him and elbows him in the head. Harkie then kicks Ninja, lifts him up....
Zach Davis: LAST RIGHTS POWERBOMB THROUGH THE SPANISH ANNOUNCE TABLE!
Harkie drops down and pins Ninja, hooking the leg!
Shannan Lerch: There it is! Harkie wins the hardcore match!
The bell sounds as Harkie rises to his feet, lifting his arm in the air.
Zach Davis: Hard fought match from all three competitors, that's for sure.
The lights go back a laugh can be heard. The Arena glows a faint red as the titantron slowly turns on. A soft deep voice starts to speak as the titantron shows gates swining open to a cematary the voice says "THE GATES OF HELL ARE OPEN NIGHT AND DAY" The tron goes in and out of a fuzzy screen and when it refocuses the unknown man that has been appearing is seen digging a grave as he looks at the camera he startings singing softly.
"ONE TWO DEATH IS COMING FOR YOU "
The screen goes black as blood dripping red letters reads VENGEANCE. Lights starting flashing in the arena as the masked man can be seen standing behind Harke as Harkie turns around the lights go black. As the lights turn back on all that is seen is Harkie's ring gear in the middle of the ring.
Shannan Lerch: What... what the hell was that?
Kyle Steel: The following match is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the WCF Confederate Championship!
Zach Davis: Well, Shannan, I’m very interested in seeing how this one plays out. That belt is after all Doc’s personal belt, and he calls the shots for these matches it seems.
Shannan Lerch: I guess you’re right, Zach. After all, it’s not often that he even defends it, and when he does he always cheats to win.
The Lights cut out in the arena then the opening chords of “Let Your Country Hang Out” blast through the arena as a Rebel Flag lights up the Tron.
I ain't never had a pot to piss in
John Thomas walks out of the ramp wearing a pair of blue jeans, a black tank top, and his black cowboy hat pulled down around his eyes , and with a rebel flag bandana covering his face, along with Vanessa Lee by his side, and his arm around her waist.
Yeah, now let your country hang out
John continues to walk down the ring and climbs in as he takes his hat off and hands it to Vanessa as he gives her a kiss.
Kyle Steel: Introducing first, the challenger, weighing in at two hundred thirty-five pounds, from Crystal River Florida, JOHN THOOOOOOMAS!
Shannan Lerch: Very redneck entrance here from John Thomas, definitely showing why he deserves to be the Redneck Champion.
Zach Davis: It’s Confederate Champion, Shannan. Get it right.
Shannan Lerch: Shut up, Zach.
Dr. Feelgood hits the speakers and as the main riff blasts through the arena, Doc, and Mary emerge on the stage, the Confederate Title around his waist. Looking around, he raises a fist in the air, the crowd cheering wildly as he then leads the way to the ring. Climbing up the steps, he holds the Ropes for Mary, who slinks lithely through. Doc steps trough the rooes and grins proudly as he pops the crowd drawing more cheers as Mary takes the belt.
Kyle Steel: And his opponent, weighing in also at two hundred thirty-five pounds, from Griffen, Georgia, he is the WCF Confederate Champion, Doc HENNNNNNRY!
Zach Davis: And Doc Henry with a confident entrance, showing off that belt.
Shannan Lerch: We’ll see how long he can hold onto it against John Thomas here!
< DING-DING-DING! >
Zach Davis: And there’s the bell!
The two circle one another, and Doc takes the first shot, a hard right that catches Thomas in the jaw. Thomas isn’t at all phased, and takes a swing of his own. Doc ducks it, and catches Thomas from behind with a neckbreaker. He goes for a quick pin.
Zach Davis: And Doc Henry with the quick pin attempt!
Shannan Lerch: But John Thomas has no trouble kicking out of it!
Henry gets back up and waits, and as Thomas gets to his feet right away, and gets a chop block from Doc. Doc sets Thomas up for a DDT and plants him right away.
Zach Davis: Doc Henry moving methodically through this match, and it doesn’t look good for John Thomas.
Shannan Lerch: I’m not sure the Hardcore Redneck can battle back into this one!
Henry waits for Thomas to get up, taunting him, mocking him, and as Thomas gets up, Doc goes for a spear!
Zach Davis: SPEAR! Henry-
Shannan Lerch: NO! Thomas sidesteps!
And Henry collides with the turnbuckle! Thomas sends him flying overhead with a German suplex, and drops for the pin.
Kickout by Doc, and Thomas pulls him right back up. He lifts him, looking for a brainbuster, but Doc fights out of it, lands back on his feet, and sends Thomas overhead with a quick suplex of his own. He pulls Thomas up, but Thomas catches him with a boot to the gut, and whips him into the ropes. On the rebound, Thomas drops Doc with a clothesline, and goes to the top rope.
Zach Davis: Oh my! What does Thomas have in store here?
Shannan Lerch: We can only guess, Zach! We can only guess!
Thomas leaps off and hits a diving elbow drop, and goes for the pin.
Zach Davis: Doc Henry definitely showing his resilience here in this one!
Shannan Lerch: Yes, but John Thomas is getting the upper hand now.
Thomas gets to his feet and pulls Doc up, and sets him up.
Zach Davis: Country Drop! Country Drop! Thomas hits it!
Shannan Lerch: And it looks like Doc might finally lose his title!
NO! FOOT ON THE ROPES!
Zach Davis: And Doc survives by the skin of his teeth!
Shannan Lerch: Thanks to that foot on the rope, of course!
Thomas stands up with anger in his eyes, and pulls Doc up, setting him up for a second Country Drop, but Doc reverses it, catches Thomas with a boot to the gut, and powers him down with the Gambler’s Hand! He pins.
NO! FOOT ON THE ROPE!
Doc looks up at the referee.
Doc Henry: No Rope Breaks! It’s in the rules! Thomas doesn’t get rope breaks!
Zach Davis: Well apparently Doc Henry won’t let Thomas have any rope breaks.
Shannan Lerch: Apparently not! He pins him again with Thomas’s foot still on the rope.
Doc slaps the mat and looks at the ref.
Doc Henry: COUNT FASTER!
He gets to his feet and goes to the top rope, and waits. As John Thomas gets to his feet...
Zach Davis: Confederate Rocket!
Shannan Lerch: And John Thomas is down! This has gotta be it!
< DING-DING-DING! >
Zach Davis: And Doc wins it!
Shannan Lerch: What a match!
Kyle Steel: The winner of this match, and still the Confederate Champion, DOC HENNNNNNRY!
He raises the title in the air, and as Thomas gets to his feet, Doc nods, and offers his hand.
Zach Davis: Thomas is thinking about it...
Shannan Lerch: And they shake hands!
Zach Davis: Great show of sportsmanship by these two competitors!
Thomas drops to the mat and rolls out of the ring, letting Henry have his moment.
Shannan Lerch: Well-
Doc Henry is standing in the ring after his match and "Dixie" starts playing. On two sides of Doc now stand Seppuku and Elvis Lee holding yellow roses. From the back comes Adam Young with mic in hand.
Adam Young: Doc Henry the so called Orginal Confederate, what a joke. Your more like that lonely coward Robert E. Lee than a true redneck. We three are the Confedrate Wrestlers and your putting a black eye on our race. You know what chickens do to things that are not quite right, the peck them to death. Tonight we peck you right out of the WCF.
Seppuku and Elvis Lee jump in the ring and start battleing Doc Henry. Doc is holding them off and then Adam jumps in the ring and nails Doc from behind with a kendo stick. Doc falls to his knees and screams out in pain. Seppuku and Elvis hold Doc as Adam cracks the kendo stick repeatedly across Doc's back.
Adam Young: You can just call me a Supercracker Doc.
Adam holds the kendo stick over his head dripping with blood as WCF refrees and security climb into the ring to help the beaten Doc Henry as the Confedrate Wrestlers leave to the sounds of boos and cying.
Seth Lerch is in his office making some final preparations for his match, when there is a knock at his office door.
Seth Lerch: Who’s there? What is it now?
The door opens, and into Seth’s office walks none other than Roy Speede.
Roy Speede: Hey, Mister Lerch. Getting ready for your match tonight?
Seth Lerch: Oh for the love of god! Yes, I’m getting ready for my match! Can’t you see I’m busy?! What do you want this time, kid?
Roy Speede: Look, Mister Lerch. Calm down. I’m not here to have some match made or some decision by one of your referees reversed. I wanted to come by and wish you luck tonight, and to thank you.
Seth Lerch: Wait, what?
Roy Speede: Yeah. I know we haven’t always been on the best of terms; I get that. I really do. I just wanted to stop by, since it might be your last night in charge of this company, and thank you for running this place without sending it spiraling into the ground like has happened so many times in the past. Gravedigger couldn’t handle running it, and then Torture passed it off to Creeping Death before the company went into a hiatus that you had to bring this company back from. And quite honestly, I’m not very inclined to believe a moron like Jonny Fly could run this company when none of them could.
Seth Lerch: So... You’re not trying to get me to cancel your match with Kane?
Roy Speede: Of course not. I can’t wait to beat the shit out of that guy... But no; I just have to say that I’d much rather have you as my boss than that jackass, Fly, and that I’m rooting for you out there, and if it you need some help out there, you’ve got my help.
Seth Lerch: Your help? As if that would actually... Alright, I’ll take whatever help I can get. Thanks, kid.
Roy Speede: You’re welcome, Mister Lerch. Best of luck tonight, sir.
Roy extends his arm, and Seth shakes his hand before Roy turns and steps back out of Seth’s office.
Zach Davis: It is the biggest event of the year, WCF’s One ladies and gentlemen where everything will change for WCF. Next, we have People’s Title between the current champion, the very popular Tek and a man who is still looking for some gold here in WCF, Kale Windsor.
Shannan Lerch: Tek has been on a roll as of late and Kale Windsor has also been asserting himself here in WCF. Either man could take this match.
“You’re Going Down” by Sick Puppies begins to play over the speaker system. The song starts as the lights strobe to the beat. Smoke fills the entranceway as the crowd reacts and Kale Windsor emerges on stage. Windsor stands at the edge of the ramp way bowing his head for a moment before standing in worship me type of taunting pose as several pyrotechnics go off behind him and he walks down the ramp way towards the ring. Half way down the ramp way, he pauses for a moment before charging the ring and sliding in under the bottom rope.
Zach Davis: Here comes a man on a mission at One, he wants gold, he wants Tek’s gold and he’s going to do what he can to take it. He won a battle royal on Slam two weeks ago to earn this shot and he’s looking to make a name for himself in this match.
Shannan Lerch: What better event than One, our biggest pay per view of the year! The crowd not exactly fully behind Windsor here are I hear more boos than cheers for him but I doubt that’ll stop him now.
He then slithers to the middle of the ring on his stomach before standing to his feet and rushing to one of the post, jumping onto the middle rope as he does a bow and arrow type pose a moment before hopping down and crossing the ring to the side ropes, where stands with one foot on the bottom rope and the other on the middle rope.
Zach Davis: And now Windsor stands in the middle of the ring as he awaits his opponent.
“Am I A Psycho” by Tech N9ne begins to play over the speaker system as Tek comes out from the entrance ramp. He puts his gloves together and they show the print on his gloves. He walks down the ramp and the crowd is cheering. Tek gets in the ring and gets on the turnbuckle and puts his hands together to show the print on the gloves.
Zach Davis: Tek making his way down to the ring here, this crowd cheering for him, the arena is ecstatic as Tek gets in the ring, carrying that People’s Title he won back at the End of the World PPV in November.
Shannan Lerch: This will be a compelling matchup as both competitors are seeking to prove themselves even more. Windsor looking for his first piece of gold here in WCF and Tek as well as this is his first title defense and he seeks to show that he deserves to be the People’s champion.
Kyle Steel: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is set for one fall and it is for the WCF People’s Championship. Introducing first, the challenger, from Los Angeles, CA, standing at 6’ 2”, weighing in at 235 pounds, he is Kale Windsor!
Crowd gives a mixed reaction, mostly boos
Zach Davis: Not exactly the support a People’s Champion should have.
Kyle Steel: And his opponent, from Santa Monica, CA, standing at 6’ 2”, weighing in at 225 pounds, he is not only the Wildcard but also the WCF People’s Champion, Tek!
Shannan Lerch: This crowd definitely behind Tek here tonight at One in his first title defense, he truly lives up to the name of People’s Champion.
Zach Davis: Tek has been on a tear through WCF and I don’t see his quest for the top stopping here tonight and he seeks to prove that he deserves to be a singles champion.
Shannan Lerch: And somewhat unpredictable at times.
Zach Davis: Yes, that wildcard aspect we’ve seen as of late from him can be very advantageous and very lethal for his opponents.
Shannan Lerch: Well, let’s see if he can continue being the champ tonight.
Shannan Lerch: And we have Tek and Windsor approach either immediately and Tek looks Windsor over as if to evaluate him and slaps the taste out of his mouth.
Zach Davis: Not a wise move in my view to start this matchup. And Windsor is not going to take it as he just smiles but surprises Tek with a DDT.
Shannan Lerch: Wow, this early into the matchup and cover!
Zach Davis: But a kickout from Tek. Looks like Windsor wanted to end this matchup quickly and get Tek out of the way. But with the People’s Championship on the line, I doubt Tek is going to allow this match to go easily.
As Tek is down from the DDT and looks almost out, Windsor decides to go up to the top rope to try for the Flatline.
Zach Davis: And looks like Windsor is going to up high here, taking a risk. The Flatline, this early in the match? Windsor really wants the gold here tonight! He jumps from the top rope and…
Shannan Lerch: And he connects with Tek but can he take advantage. Windsor rolls over and cover!
Zach Davis: And no, Tek kicks out. Windsor looking to put Tek away very early in this match up as Tek is still kind of out of it. This crowd however chanting for Tek.
Crowd: Let’s go Tek! Let’s go Tek! Let’s go Tek!
Tek slowly gets up and goes to the corner of the ring. Look of surprise on his face. He raises his hand up for the crowd and they cheer for him!
Shannan Lerch: The crowd’s on his side here. But Windsor is now running toward Tek, going to try and clothesline him in the corner here.
Zach Davis: Tek just turning around and barely avoid being hit by Windsor as Windsor gets a face full of turnbuckle. Tek quickly takes advantage and he locks in at the waist, a suplex to Windsor! Cover!
Zach Davis: And Windsor barely kicks out of that one. A strong showing from both men in the early going of this match. Windsor craves gold but Tek also wants to keep his title, both men looking to really put on a show here for the fans.
Shannan Lerch: And they should because as People’s Champion, their support counts and then some.
Zach Davis: Windsor is still down right now as Tek is getting up, he’s grabbing Windsor by the head and is applying a neck lock to him. He’s really trying to wear Windsor down here.
Shannan Lerch: And Windsor appears to slowly be fading. Look at his face, it’s almost purple. The referee now checking on him.
Zach Davis: Lifting his arm and no, Windsor is still in this! He’s hanging on here. Elbow to Tek, and another elbow to the gut of Tek here as he’s forced to break the hold. Windsor dragging himself as fast as he can to the ropes for leverage.
Shannan Lerch: And Windsor now getting himself up as he looks to be on the attack. He goes after Tek but oh no, Tek lowers the ropes and Windsor goes over. And now a smile on the face of Tek.
Crowd: Tek! Tek! Tek!
Tek raises his hand with a smile on his face here as Windsor is down on the outside.
Zach Davis: Tek is truly a fan favorite as the crowd cheers for his every move here.
Shannan Lerch: Both men have been very resilient thus far but Windsor can’t allow the chants to get to his head. He has to keep his focus on the title and simply beating Tek here tonight.
Shannan Lerch: I think Tek wants to cement his legacy here in WCF and tonight is another step in that. As his first title defense, he wants to retain otherwise people will call him a fluke champion, something which for sure would not sit very well with him.
Zach Davis: Not at all. Windsor regrouping and he’s back in the ring. Tek now landing an elbow to Windsor in the gut over and over trying to wear him down and Windsor has not really been able to get almost any offense in this matchup. Tek really continuing to take it to Windsor here and looks like he’s grabbing his legs and he wants to set him up for a Boston Crab.
Shannan Lerch: But Windsor knows it’s coming, he’s fighting back and manages to kick Tek away toward the ropes. Tek coming back however and grabbing the legs again, Windsor kicks Tek down one more time and quickly grabs Tek by the face and oh my God, I think he’s going to go for it here. Can he lock it in?
Zach Davis: Appropriately termed “Feel My Pain” as Windsor applies the crossface to Tek, Tek in tremendous pain here. You can feel the agony of Tek as he is trying to get to the bottom rope here.
Shannan Lerch: Inching closer, almost there. Is Tek going to tap because the pain is far too much. Tek almost and yes, he grabs the bottom rope. The official instructs Windsor to break the hold.
Referee: 1. 2. 3. 4.
Zach Davis: And Windsor breaks the hold just barely before a count of 5, he needs to be careful to not disqualify himself here as the title cannot change hands on a disqualification.
Shannan Lerch: I think Windsor is trying to do the damage to Tek as much as he can here as he really craves that gold.
Zach Davis: Tek recovering here as the referee forces Windsor to step back. Tek is getting up and Windsor is trying to sneak by but Tek meets him first with a hit right to the face. Tek follows it up with another strike to Windsor’s face. These men trading blows here, one after the other and it looks like Windsor is getting the upper hand here. And Tek is a bit out of it here. Windsor grabs Tek and bam, DDT, nails another DDT on Tek.
Shannan Lerch: Cover!
Zach Davis: And Tek manages to get his shoulder up. This has been an even contest so far, Tek showing why he is the People’s Champion here but Windsor also showing that he should not be counted out and that he has a claim to stardom here in WCF.
Shannan Lerch: Both Tek and Windsor being pushed to their limits here.
Crowd: Wildcard! Wildcard! Wildcard!
Zach Davis: Tek fans chanting for him, his calling card if you will.
Shannan Lerch: It caught on and then some.
Zach Davis: And Windsor is going to try and finish Tek off. Tek is down on the mat. Windsor is going to wait for Tek to get up and hit him with the Final Destiny! He’s calling for it but is he going to be able to pull it off?!
Shannan Lerch: The crowd completely behind Tek but Windsor doesn’t care because he’s going to do what he needs to do to make a name for himself.
Crowd: Wildcard! Wildcard! Wildcard!
And he grabs Tek, he connects! Tek is down.
Zach Davis: Cover.
Zach Davis: And we have a new People’s Champion! After a hard fought match, Windsor beats Tek!
Kyle Steel: Ladies and gentlemen your winner and new WCF People’s Champion, Kale Windsor!
Shannan Lerch: And Windsor celebrating by getting up to the top rope as Tek does not look pleased by the loss. He starts screaming at the referee, infuriated by the loss.
Zach Davis: Well, when Tek gets in that mood, he sometimes loses control.
Shannan Lerch: Out of nowhere, Tek grabs the referee by the neck and hits him with a neckbreaker!
Zach Davis: Windsor notices this and ignores it simply shrugging his shoulders as Tek makes his way out of the ring and toward the back.
Shannan Lerch: Windsor reveling in this moment here as the people boo him but he doesn’t care, he obtained his first piece of gold here in WCF and is now the WCF People’s Champion!
Zach Davis: At One, Windsor made a name for himself. Maybe 2012 was not all that kind to him but he’s starting off 2013 with a bang!
The beginning of "This Fire Burns" by Killswitch Engage begins to play as people rise to their feet. A few moments pass by as out steps "The Youngest Hero" Christopher Kane. He motions for people to get to their feet if they're not already. Christopher begins to walk to the ring, slapping hands with the many fans who have their hands out over the guard rails. The WCF fans are cheering loudly for Christopher Kane as he hops up onto the ring apron before going to the turnbuckle and heading up to the top buckle. He raises his arms into the air for more noise before jumping into the ring, making a roll and popping back up to his feet. He grabs a microphone from a ringside attendant, and waits for his music to die down before speaking.
Chris Kane: I just wanna say something before I defend my internet title. Kaylyn James Evans has become a good friend of mine, and I'm happy to have this match with her... what I'm not sure about is the man that's going to be coming to the ring with her. Scott Savage...
Suddenly Chris stops, as four masked men jump over the barricade. They are all dressed in white, with white masks completely covering their faces.
Zach Davis: Who are these men?
Shannan Lerch: I don't know, but whoever they are, this is not looking good for Chris Kane.
He drops the microphone, and looks for an escape route, but here is none. The four men have surrounded him, and are getting closer to the ring. A the same time they all slide under the bottom rope. Chris immediately goes after one of them, stomping on the back of his neck several times. He seems to be doing well, until the other three grab him, and toss him across the ring. He hits the canvas hard, and they immediately jump on him, hitting Chris with stomps and kicks. They beat the young man mercilessly.
Zach Davis: this is ridiculous! Someone has to stop this!
A small trickle of blood comes from Chris' forehead. Suddenly, Scott Savage and Kaylyn James Evans come sprinting down the ramp. They both slide under the bottom rope, and they begin bringing it to the men in white. Scott tosses two of them over the top, as Kay hits one with the KY Bomb. The last one remaining bails out, and runs back up the entrance ramp, as Scott and Kay check on Chris. They slowly lift him, and help him make his way tot he back.
Shannan Lerch: Well, it doesn't look like we'll be having an Internet tiles match tonight.
Zach Davis: I just hope Chris Kane is okay after that brutal beating.
Zach Davis: Time for tonight's Television Title match!
Shannan Lerch: What a journey to get here. We thought we'd have Gable versus Ducos after Gable won the Contendership Rush tournament, but Synn pulled off an upset to score the TV Title. We were already banking on Steeltoe Joe versus Synn, but with the belt involved, that got Gable into the mix.
“Things That You Oughta Know” by Chronic Future blasts over the P.A. System. John Gable enters through the current wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a leather jacket acting as if he was trying not to be noticed. He looks out to the crowd while trying to hide his face. He steps down the ramp as Humphrey Craig followed with a sign reading “future Oscar recipient”. John Gable slides into the ring and rips off his 'disguise'.
The Arena Goes Dark, and then all simultaneously “Barton Hollow” By The Civil Wars begins to play through the audio systems. The Entrance Gate area and Stage begin to flicker with White lights and neon blue flashes mixed in the flickers. Fog fills the gate area as Steeltoe Joe comes walking out of the midst of the Fog. Joe Stands on stage and plays to the crowds who are cheering for him. Joe then walks down the ramp and gets to the ring steps where he stops, does a Catholic Crucifix motion and then walks up the steps and into the ring. He climbs up two turnbuckles and does the same crucifix motion and raises his arms and points towards Heaven.
Zach Davis: Up next, the current reigning Television Champion.
The Wachovia center arena goes black as all the lights go out. The fans are left in pitch darkness but for a brief moment until the giant screens above the ring flash to white, just as they begin displaying a message in bold red letters
The screens quickly fade to black leaving the fans once again in utter darkness until several crow calls can be heard. Neon red and purple laser lights accompany The Cure's "Burn" playing over the sound system. The fans all rise in excitement as the songs first crescendo hits, which causes the large screens above the ring to flash back to life, the crowd explodes with excitement as they see a large shadowy figure on the bright white screens. As the laser lights dance in the dark arena, the fans watch as the shadow slowly begins to descend fading into the bottom of the screen. Once the shadow has completely disappeared a blue dark light bellows out from the center of the four screens, the crowd pops loudly when the light reveals a figure descending from the center of the screens to the very center of the ring, the figure has his arms outstretched on both sides, his head lowered to his chest in a crucifixion style pose, the crowd continues cheering loudly as the dark figure slowly lowers to the center of the ring in pace with the song, the fans eating up the theatrics. The white screens once again display another message, once again in bold red:
The lights turn back on as the laser lights continue bouncing all over the arena, eliciting an explosive reaction from the fans when they see that the dark figure is Terry "Synn" Roberts standing in the center of the ring. Terry then bends to one knee, unstrapping his guitar from his back, he holds it aloft blowing a massive fireball that billows all the way to the screens high above the ring. The crowd once again explodes in excitement. Terry steps over to the corner, handing a ring attendant his non wrestling attire, before turning to hand the referee the WCF television title. He then crouches in the corner, bowing his head awaiting the bell to ring.
Shannan Lerch: WHAT AN ENTRANCE!
Zach Davis: You said it, Shannan. Only at One!
The bell sounds.
Shannan Lerch: Television Title on the line... HERE WE GO!
Ever the fighter, Synn rushes in, Clotheslining down Steeltoe Joe. Joe goes down and Gable rushes Synn, who Clotheslines him down too. Joe is up, bam, another Clothesline from Synn. Gable is up, bam, Synn hits him with an explosive Shining Wizard!
Zach Davis: I wish I was allowed to use my smartphone while I work because I'd like to look up how the hell that move got its name. Regardless of where it came from.. ouch!
Synn drops and goes for an early pinfall.
No!, Gable kicks out. Synn lifts him up and throws him out of the ring. He then turns towards Steeltoe Joe and gives him a forearm to the head, followed by a Vertical Suplex. Synn then begins climbing the top rope.
Shannan Lerch: Synn, going high risk early in this contest!
Synn is up to the top, but Steeltoe Joe is to his feet. Before Synn can react, Joe grabs him and tosses him off the top back to the mat!
Zach Davis: Joe on offense!, the most powerful man in the WCF roster!
Synn hits the mat and stumbles back up, holding his back. Joe throws him to the ropes and then catches him as he comes back... and executes a huge Belly to Belly Suplex which sends Synn flying over the top rope to the outside!
Shannan Lerch: DAMN! WHAT A MOVE!
Synn hits the outside hard!, rolling away and clutching his back in pain. Joe gets up and begins pumping up the crowd and looks to the outside, readying himself...
Zach Davis: Oh my God... is Steeltoe Joe going to fly out of the ring? It looks like he is!
Indeed, Joe bounces off the far end of the ropes, running towards where Synn is!
Shannan Lerch: THERE HE GOES!
But no! Before Joe can leap over the ropes, Gable pops up onto the apron, grabs Joe's head, and drops down, whiplashing Joe's head down onto the ropes! Joe's own momentum causes him to spring backwards into the middle of the ring. Gable slides in under the ropes and grabs Joe, turning him around, and hitting a Single Underhook Swinging Neckbreaker!
Zach Davis: John Gable takes the big man down!
Gable pins Joe, hooking the leg.
No!, Joe powers out, shoving Gable away. Joe begins working his way to his feet but Gable has no intention of letting him; Gable runs at him and knees him right in the face. Joe simply shakes it off.
Shannan Lerch: If Joe wasn't a preacher, I'd say he was a monster!
Joe is to his feet but still, Gable stays on the offense. He runs at him and goes for a Clothesline, Joe simply stumbles back, yelling for Gable to bring it on. Gable runs at him again, but this time Joe goes for a Big Boot. Gable slides under it, bounces against the ropes, then chop blocks Joe, taking him down via his right leg.
Zach Davis: STILL, Steeltoe Joe is getting back up!
Indeed he is!, but none too quickly. This allows Gable to grab him by the head...
Shannan Lerch: Snap DDT! John Gable spikes Joe's head onto the mat!
And here's the pin.
No!, Synn pulls Gable out of the ring, breaking it up! Gable swings wildly at the Television Champion but Synn ducks it and hits Gable with a punch of his own. Gable stumbles away and Synn runs at him, Bulldogging him down onto the cold, hard concrete.
Zach Davis: Synn smashes Gable's face onto the floor!
Shannan Lerch: No, not his face! That's his bread and butter!
Synn starts stomping away at Gable before lifting him up. Synn goes for a Vertical Suplex, but then drops Gable gut first onto the guardrail!
Zach Davis: Breathtaking! Literally.
With Gable resting stomach down on the guardrail, Synn then climbs up onto the apron. He steadies himself.... then jumps off towards Gable, catching his head and hitting a Spike DDT onto the concrete!
Shannan Lerch: OH MY GOD!
Zach Davis: I've never seen that before!
Synn gets up as the crowd chants "HOLY SHIT!", and Gable's head has been busted open. Synn then turns towards the ring-
Shannan Lerch: OH MY GOD!
From inside the ring, Steeltoe Joe dives between the ropes and hits Synn with a Suicide Dive!
Zach Davis: STEELTOE JOE WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! I never thought I'd see that in a million years!
Shannan Lerch: I've said Oh My God more times tonight than on one of my dates with Jonny Fly! What an amazing performance by these three men thus far!
Joe quickly gets up as the fans cheer him on. He slides back into the ring as Gable and Synn both lay on the outside, severely injured.
Zach Davis: One very important factor has come into play: the Television Title can change hands on DQs and countouts. Synn and Gable need to get back into the ring or Steeltoe Joe will be the new Champion!
The ref begins counting.
Both Gable and Synn are stirring, but not up.
Joe watches them intently. They're working their way to their feet, realizing their situation....
Gable's brains still seem a little scrambled, and Synn is hurting after that Suicide Dive, but they race towards the ring.
At the very last second, both Gable and Synn slide in! Joe starts stomping away at the both of them as they do, with neither one able to get back up onto the offensive.
Shannan Lerch: We almost had a new Television Champion right there! But now Joe has two men to contend with if he's trying to get the victory, which isn't always easy, even for a man of Joe's size.
Synn is the first wrestler to get up to his feet. Joe hits him with a Scoop Slam. Gable is up now and Joe Scoop Slams him onto Synn!
Zach Davis: Nice!
Joe then runs to the ropes, bounces off, and goes for a Splash onto the both of them! However, Gable is able to roll away, and Joe drops down onto Synn only. Joe gets back up and Gable grabs him from behind locks him into a Full Nelson.
Shannan Lerch: Gable has it locked in! No matter how big Joe is, a painful submission hold is a painful submission hold. This COULD be it.
Joe tries to fight out of it but to no avail, Gable has it locked in tight.
Zach Davis: Also, Gable has taken a LOT of damage. This hold gives him a little time to get his bearings, think, and get a gameplan back in motion.
Gable uses all of his strength after several moments to slam Joe down and then lock in an Armbar! Joe screams in pain.
Shannan Lerch: Gable has Joe's massive arm locked in that Armbar! This really could be it, we could have a new Champion right here!
Joe yells again in pain but Synn is up!, he stomps Gable, causing him to break the hold. Synn quickly lifts Gable up and throws him to the ropes. As Gable is coming back Synn lifts him with a Tiltawhirl into a Faceplant Powerbomb!
Zach Davis: A-BOMB! SYNN HITS THE A-BOMB! THIS COULD BE IT!
Synn pins Gable, hooking the leg!
NO! GABLE KICKS OUT!
Shannan Lerch: SO CLOSE!
Synn's face reveals that he thought he had it. He kicks angrily at Gable before lifting him up. He lifts him in a Vertical Suplex... then locks in the T-S-N!
Zach Davis: TAP, SNAP, OR NAP! SYNN IS GOING TO RETAIN!
The fans are on their feet, waiting to see if Gable is going to give up! The ref asks him but Gable doesn't answer, not wanting to lose.
Shannan Lerch: John Gable can't resist forever, if he doesn't give up he's going to pass out!
As Synn has the move locked in, he turns... ONLY TO BE SPEARED BY STEELTOE JOE!
Zach Davis: OOF!
The Spear takes Synn down and causes him to drop Gable as well!
Shannan Lerch: Steeltoe Joe just stopped this match from ending!
All three of the competitors lay on the mat now, looking to catch their breath, exhausted. All three are breathing heavily.
Zach Davis: All three of these men want to be the Television Champion, but only one can be! This is anyone's matchup!
Gable rolls out of the ring, leaving Joe and Synn to slowly climb to their feet. They begin brawling and Joe throws Synn to the ropes. Joe runs at him and Clotheslines him down, super powerful.
Shannan Lerch: Looks like Steeltoe Joe is back in the driver's seat now.
Joe picks Synn up and tosses him into the turnbuckle. Joe then begins lifting Synn up.
Zach Davis: Joe is looking to put Synn away now... Superplex maybe?
Joe climbs up with Synn but Synn starts fighting back, hitting a few strikes to Joe's midsection and then shoving him off. Joe gets back to his feet and Synn flies off the top-
Shannan Lerch: DREAMCATCHER!
Synn hits it! He quickly rolls over onto Joe, hooking the leg.
Zach Davis: Synn retains!
The bell sounds as Synn's music hits. Synn struggles to his feet, being handed the Television Title.
Shannan Lerch: Aanndd there you have it!
From outside the ring, Gable looks into the ring, realizing he missed his opportunity to break it up. Synn climbs up the turnbuckle, celebrating with the belt.
Zach Davis: A short while ago we never thought we'd see Synn as the Television Champion... but he's retained at One and proven he deserves it!
Zach Davis: Hey guys. Earlier this evening, Joe Smith found evidence of Logan's presence here in this very arena.
Shannan Lerch: Yes!
Zach Davis: Logan himself has yet to be seen, however Joe Smith is feeding us back into another live update backstage.
The jumbotron is given life to the image of Joe Smith. He is standing next to a... trashcan - to which he is peering into with strange amazement. Something special rests on top of the garbage, and once again Smith points that out to the camera.
Joe Smith: A ticket...
Zach Davis: A ticket... ?
Shannan Lerch: A ticket?
?: A ticket...
Joe Smith looks up acknowledging the voice caught off camera. His eyes are blown wide and sticking out of his sockets.
?: ... straight to Connector City.
Joe Smith: You're finally... normal again.
The camera pans to its left and catches a redhead-free Logan.
Joe Smith: Logan... again.
Logan looks good. Healthy. Gone are the dark circles that engulfed his eyes the last time he was seen. He's regained a lot of muscle, along with men's clothes.
Logan: Do you... want that?
The Face of Treachery peers over to the trashcan, nodding at the ticket. Joe Smith very quickly shakes his head 'no'.
Smith shakes his head again - more furiously even.
Logan: You don't want to go to Connector City?
Joe Smith: N -
Logan: SHUT UP! BOUDLE!
The audience explodes with a scream so loud even those watching at home plug their eardrums. It takes quite a while for the explosion of excitement to quiet before Logan can continue.
Logan: Then you get that trashcan out of Mr. WCF's sight.
At first, Joe Smith looks a little confused by this request but he follows through and grabs the trashcan and begins to haul it down the hall.
Logan: What are you doing? Leave the trashcan. I was talking about you, boudle.
Smith does not bother responding, leaving the trashcan and hurrying off down the hall. Logan turns to face the camera and the audience pops again.
Logan: Enjoy the mickey mouse programming tonight. Savor it. Because soon, real soon.. you'll want to get ready - you'll want to get ready for your ticket master, the five-time WCF champion, the five-time United States champion, the only ever son of a bitch to have WHAT IT TAKES to win a War twice let alone three times. Get ready for a real gawd damn treacherous mother-fucker. Get ready... for... THIS.
And with the climax of this most dramatic moment... Logan performs a pelvic thrust. The tron fades.
Zach Davis: Time for things to get LEGEN... wait for it... DARY.
Shannan Lerch: ...
Zach Davis: The legendary Brad Kane is stepping into the ring here tonight with "the Silver Lining" Roy Speede, finally. Here we go.
The lights go out in the arena. After several seconds, words written in a bright white begin flashing on the otherwise blackened out Jumbotron. With each fading word, a new word pops up on the screen.
As the last word fades, all five words reappear on the jumbotron at once.
CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW!?!
The lights slowly come back on as 'Hear Me Now' by Hollywood Undead begins to play through the speakers as Roy Speede steps out on stage. He crosses his arms in an X across his chest, with his right arm underneath his left, and his hands in his fists. He bows his head for several seconds, and his chin rests in the gap between his fists.
Kyle Steel: Introducing, from Richmond, Virginia, Wrestling Championship Federation's own Silver Lining, he is ROY SPEEEEDE!!
Roy drops his right arm, and raises his left arm in the air, with his pointer, middle, and pinky fingers extended, and his ring finger and thumb tucked into his palm. His palm is facing the crowd. He drops his arm, and begins jogging to ringside, high-fiving fans as he goes, before climbing onto the apron, and then climbing the outside of the turnbuckle. He raises his left arm, with the same fingers extended as when he was on stage. He leaps from the turnbuckle into the ring.
Kyle Steel: Introducing next, your WCF Commissioner...
The house lights go out in the arena as the opening of "Guile's Theme" by The Minibosses flares up. Strobe lights begin to go insane when the vocals blare out of the sound system as Brad Kane appears in the entry way with the Reckless Jack mask on.
Kyle Steel: HE IS BRRAAAAAAAAD KAAAAAAANE!
The crowd is thrilled seeing him as Brad inhales before he makes his way down the ring. A few hands get slapped away as once Brad is at ringside, he hops up on the ring apron. The lights are back to normal as they enter the ring as he heads to the nearest turnbuckle and goes up to the middle buckle. Some take pictures as he steps down, inhaling once more as he does the same thing on the other side of the ring before yanking off his mask. He then backs into the corner as he then waits for the match to begin as his entrance song fades off.
Shannan Lerch: These two have fought before, but this is THE match. This is One.
A few fans have started a few "IWF!" chants towards Brad Kane. He looks at those fans and nods. However, that momentary distraction allows Speede to run towards him as the bell rings, pummeling him with forearm shots to the head. Speede throws Kane to the ropes and then Clotheslines him as he comes back. Speede starts stomping at him, viciously.
Zach Davis: Roy Speede has held the Hardcore Title for MONTHS now but in my professional opinion this is the single biggest match of his career. Sure, there's been Ultimate Showdown and War and everything, but this is a one on one match at the biggest show of the year... it doesn't get much bigger than this, and Speede knows it.
Speede backs up and before Kane can start getting back up, Speede runs at him and hits an Elbow Drop. He then begins locking in an Anaconda Vise.
Shannan Lerch: Anaconda Vise!, already!
But no!, Kane has it scouted and escapes, quickly pulling himself to his feet. Speede takes a wild swing and Kane ducks it, following up with a big Enziguri Kick!
Zach Davis: Brad Kane, back in the driver's seat!
Shannan Lerch: You've got to remember, he hasn't been an active competitor in WCF for a while now, and Speede may be able to use that to his advantage. Not to mention all the personal stuff he's gone through recently.
Zach Davis: Kane is a world class competitor and I don't think he knows the definition of "ring rust," and if anything he'll use those personal situations to fuel him... I don't know, Shannan, I think this is a pretty even matchup.
Kane backs away, getting his bearings as Speede gets to his feet. Kane throws him to the ropes and as he comes back, BAM! Exploder Suplex! Kane drops down and pins Speede.
No!, Speede gets the shoulder up. Brad knew he wasn't going to put him away that easily and stays right on the attack, locking in an STF.
Shannan Lerch: Kane's got the submission move locked in! This could really hurt Speede's chances if he ends up getting hurt here. And I'm sure that's exactly what Kane's thinking.
Speede flails wildly trying to get out of the move, and after a few moments he's able to grab the rope. The ref calls for Kane to break the hold, which he does only at the count of four. Kane pulls Speede away from the ropes and towards the center of the ring, but Speede kicks him away, not wanting to get locked into an STF again. Kane rushes him but Speede rolls him up with a Schoolboy pin!
No, Kane gets out of it. Both men get to their feet and Kane runs towards Speede who takes him down with a Headlock.
Zach Davis: Speede's the one slowing the pace down now, attempting to wear Kane down a bit.
Kane is the one now going for the ropes; after several moments he grabs them himself and Speede releases the headlock. He then climbs out onto the apron.
Shannan Lerch: Early on in the match, Speede going high risk now..
Speede Springboards, going for an Elbow Drop, but Kane rolls away from it. Kane gets to his feet, as does Speede, and Kane runs at him, grabs him by the arm and drops, locking in an Armbar!
Zach Davis: Another submission applied! Speede hit his elbow hard after that Elbow Drop attempt, and now that arm may be a target.
After several moments Speede begins yelling out in pain, but he's not ready to give up. Kane releases it and rolls off, grabbing Speede by the arm and rolling out of the ring.
Shannan Lerch: What's he doing here?
Kane doesn't take Speede out of the ring, but he drags his arm over to the turnbuckle, and slams it into it! Speede again yells in pain as he does.
Zach Davis: NO! You're going to break his arm!
Kane grabs Speede's arm again and positions it against the turnbuckle. Quickly, Kane backs up and BAM!, kicks Speede's arm against the turnbuckle now! Speede pulls his arm back into the ring and holds it to his chest, clearly injured.
Shannan Lerch: This isn't good for the Silver Lining. Like you said earlier, falling victim to a submission early in a match could spell doom for the rest of it... and that's the position Roy Speede just may have found himself in here tonight.
Kane slides back into the ring and stomps at Speede's arm as the crowd begins to boo. Kane ignores them and then grabs Speede's arm once more...
Zach Davis: He's putting him in his Cross Armbreaker! This is the end, Speede can't avoid tapping out now.
Speede knows it. He rolls away, doing everything he can to avoid letting Brad lock in his Cross Armbreaker. Speede ends up rolling out of the ring, trying to get away from Kane long enough to formulate a gameplan. Kane stays right on the attack, going back after him. Kane spins Speede around but as he does, Speede hits him with a chop to the chest!
Shannan Lerch: Whooo!
Zach Davis: That was out of instinct and Speede used his bad arm!
Indeed, before Speede can capitalize, his face contorts with pain from having used that arm. He goes for another Chop with his left arm now and although it's less effective, it still connects with Kane's chest with force. Speede then grabs Kane and throws him into the ring steps!
Shannan Lerch: Roy Speede is going to do everything he can do to stay alive here.
Kane crashes into them and flies over them. Speede runs at him and knees him right in the face as he lands before he fires off with a bunch of left fists to his face!
Zach Davis: Pure viciousness coming out between these two. They've been at odds practically ever since Speede came into the company, so that's a lot of time for animosity to build up.
Speede lifts Kane up and rolls him into the ring. Speede quickly climbs up onto the apron and onto the turnbuckle, favoring his one arm. Speede is to the top, Kane turns around... One Legged Missile Dropkick!
Shannan Lerch: He hits it!
Hoping to get lucky, Speede quickly pins Kane.
No!, Kane kicks out. Speede kicks Kane a few more times before climbing to the top again.
Zach Davis: Speede, going high risk yet again, twice in a row..
Speede flies off with a 450 Splash, but Kane gets his knees up!
Shannan Lerch: OUCH!
All of the air leaves Speede's lungs as he rolls away. Kane gets up and grabs him, hitting a Uranage Backbreaker!
Zach Davis: Speede's flurry of offense was good while it last, but Brad Kane is back in control.
Kane grabs Speede's bad right arm and drops a leg on it, going right back on the attack to that. He then backs up...
Shannan Lerch: What is he going for here?
Kane runs and hits a Bakatare Sliding Kick!
Zach Davis: OOF! What a move, executed perfectly!
Kane drops and pins Speede!
No, Speede kicks out!
Shannan Lerch: So close!
Kane looks like he's savoring this now as he backs up, waiting for Speede to work his way to his feet. The fans are chanting "SIL-VER LIN-ING!"
Zach Davis: If Kane locked in the Cross Armbreaker right now, with the status of Speede's arm, I don't think Speede could resist tapping. The match would be over. Why's he doing this instead, why is he prolonging it?
Shannan Lerch: He's punishing Speede, Zach. He's punishing him.
Once Speede gets to his feet, Kane hits him with the BK Backfist!
Zach Davis: BK BACKFIST! IT'S OVER!
Kane drops and pins Speede!
NO!, Speede gets his foot on the ropes!
Shannan Lerch: SO CLOSE! So damn close.
Zach Davis: The positioning wasn't right.. I wonder if Kane even cared.
Brad picks Speede up and throws him to the turnbuckle. Quickly, he lifts Speede onto it and climbs up with him.
Shannan Lerch: Oh no... I think we know what he's going for here.
Zach Davis: The Kirisute Gomen!, his Avalanche Brainbuster! This will HAVE to be it!
Once Kane gets Speede up, Speede has it scouted and starts jabbing Kane in the gut, doing whatever he can to break out of it. He stops Kane long enough to shove Kane off and to the mat. Acting quickly, Speede jumps off-
Shannan Lerch: SPEEDE BUMP! SPEEDE BUMP OUT OF NOWHERE!
Speede lands on top of Kane with his finisher, pinning him!
Zach Davis: NO! NO! BRAD KANE KICKS OUT!
Indeed, Brad Kane kicked out of Speede's finisher. Speede curses, getting up slowly and beginning to wonder what he has to do now. He positions himself behind Brad...
Shannan Lerch: He's going for the Silver Bullet!
Speede locks it in!, but as he goes to lift Brad, Brad gets out of it, grabbing Speede's arm and bringing him down...
Zach Davis: THERE IT IS! BRAD KANE HAS THE CROSS ARMBREAKER LOCKED IN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING!
Indeed he does! Speede yells out in agony as Kane cranks on the move, grinning ear to ear, and yelling at Kane to tap!
Shannan Lerch: This isn't normally one of Brad Kane's finishing moves, but it will be tonight!
Zach Davis: Come on, Speede, give up! It's not worth this!
Speede looks around, looking for the ropes, trying to see any way of getting out of this. But no matter which way he reaches, the ropes are too far.
Shannan Lerch: It's over. Brad Kane wins this one, it's academic.
But no matter what the ref says, Speede shakes his head no, refusing to give up! Kane continues to yelling, telling Speede to tap and taunting him, but Speede just keeps shaking his head no.
Zach Davis: Come on, Speede! He'll break your goddamn arm!
Speede begins to lunge towards the ropes, doing his best to reach them.
Shannan Lerch: He'll never make it in time..
Speede keeps inching closer.. and closer..... and closer......
Zach Davis: NO! HE MAKES IT! SPEEDE GRABS THE ROPES!
Kane curses as the ref tells him to break it off. It looks like he contemplates not even listening, but he does indeed let go of the hold at the last moment. He grabs Speede and lifts him up, bringing him back to the center. He goes to throw him to the ropes but Speede reverses it, throwing Kane to the ropes instead. As Kane comes back Speede lifts him onto his shoulders and-
Shannan Lerch: SILVER SLICE!
Speede drops onto Kane, pinning him, hooking the leg!
NO! KANE KICKS OUT!
Zach Davis: What can Roy do, Shannan? What can he do?
Shannan Lerch: Brad Kane has made a career out of defeating the undefeatable... and tonight he may have become undefeatable himself.
Speede lifts Kane up and grabs him, Belly to Back position....
Shannan Lerch: SPEEDE OF LIGHT!
But he doesn't go for the pin. With the fans on their feet, Speede begins climbing to the top.
Zach Davis: He's goign for another Speede Bump!
Speede gets to the top...
Shannan Lerch: NO! HERE COMES BRAD!
BRAD SCALES THE TURNBUCKLE, GRABS SPEEDE, AND IN ONE FLUID MOTION, HITS HIS AVALANCE BRAINBUSTER!
Zach Davis: KIRISUTE GOMEN! THAT'S IT!
Breathing heavily, Kane pins Speede in the middle of the ring, hooking the leg.
Shannan Lerch: NO! NO! ROY KICKED OUT AT THE VERY LAST SECOND!
Zach Davis: Did he? I don't know!
Kane is up and he's about ready to celebrate, but the ref tries telling him that Speede kicked out. Kane looks like he doesn't believe it and begins yelling at the ref for a brief second. This allows Speede to roll Kane up!
NO!, Kane gets out now!
Shannan Lerch: This match has been incredible. Who's going to finally win this? And how?
Kane and Speede both get to their feet, exhausted, breathing heavily. Kane goes for another BK Backfist but Speede ducks it and locks him in a Full Nelson hold.
Zach Davis: SILVER BULLET! SILVER BULLET!
Speede drops and pins Brad Kane now, hooking the leg.
Shannan Lerch: THAT'S IT! IT'S OVER!
Zach Davis: ROY SPEEDE WINS IT!
Speede's music starts playing but neither wrestler moves an inch. Both lay on the mat, catching their breath, completely exhausted.
Shannan Lerch: That was a classic. It'll be on every "Best of Brad Kane" and "Best of Roy Speede" DVD released from now to eternity, Zach.
Zach Davis: No doubt about it.
Finally, Roy Speede starts stumbling to his feet. The ref grabs his arm and raises it in the air.
Kyle Steel: And your winner... THE SILVER LINING.. ROOOOY SPEEEEEEDE!
The fans cheer and clap for Speede, who is barely able to hear them from the looks of it. Kane rolls out of the ring as he begins heading to the back, himself.
Kyle Steel: The following match is a No Disqualification Two out of Three Falls match! Each fall can only occur when one wrestler pins the other or makes them tap out to a submission move.
First, standing at 5 feet 11 inches and weighing in at 220 pounds…from Perth, Australia. SKKKKYYYYYYLLERRRR STRRRIIIIIIIIIKEERRRRR!
“Hands” by The Almost hits the speakers and the crowd instantly pops and starts singing along with the song. A few seconds go by and Skyler Striker does not emerge from the back. The song keeps going and the crowd keeps singing with everyone looking at the entryway. Still no Striker.
Zach Davis: Ok, that’s odd. Usually he pops out a few seconds into the song.
Shannan Lerch: I’m getting something from the back.
The song fades out after a few more seconds and the crowd starts talking to each other when the big screen switches to feed from backstage. Gravedigger and Skyler Striker are brawling a few feet away from the gorilla position.
Zach Davis: Looks like these two didn’t want to wait to even get out from the back to start this match.
The referee in the ring hops out and jogs towards the back. Security come from the hallway and start trying to push the pair towards the gorilla position. Gravedigger turns and decks a couple of the guards, but is jumped from behind by Skyler Striker and the two resume their brawling. Security helps push the two out onto the entryway.
Gravedigger decks Skyler Striker one good time and Striker staggers back and falls to the ground. Gravedigger turns and walks backstage and re-emerges a couple of seconds later with a trash can. Striker is already back up and leaps through the air nailing Gravedigger square in the chest with a front kick. Digger is caught off guard and staggers back, dropping the trash can. Striker grabs a kendo stick that fell out of it and catches the charging Gravedigger with a kendo stick shot to the skull. Digger stumbles past Striker and is still on his feet and turns into another huge shot with the stick. He staggers back and plants a foot backwards, but receives a third shot knocking him to one knee. Striker finally gets Gravedigger off his feet with a well-placed fourth shot and the stick is tossed away, no longer useable.
Shannan Lerch: Wow, he had to destroy that kendo stick just to put Gravedigger down.
Zach Davis: Well he is the Epitome of Hardcore and has a sizeable advantage over Striker. It’s going to take a lot to beat Gravedigger.
Striker wastes no time and pounces on Gravedigger before he can get up and starts hitting him with rights in the forehead of Gravedigger, trying to open him up. Gravedigger starts fighting back and is soon on his feet, and floors Striker. Striker gets back up and Gravedigger scoop slams him onto the steel entryway, causing him to arch his back. Gravedigger picks Striker up and positions him for a Respecto. He lifts Striker up, but Striker holds on, wrapping his arm around Gravedigger and uses his own momentum to DDT him on top of the ramp. The crowd pops at the move. Gravedigger gets up and the two are still fighting, they start taking the brawling slowly down the ramp. Striker tries whipping Digger into the guardrail, but Digger reverses the irish whip and holds on, kneeing Striker in the gut. Digger grabs Striker and drops him in a snake eyes move onto the guardrail. Striker bounces off, staggers around into a huge clothesline from Gravedigger. Digger kicks Striker into a roll a few feet down the ramp to the bottom. Gravedigger smirks at Striker as he slowly approaches him, relishing in the moment.
Gravedigger bends down to pick him up but is surprised when Striker starts fighting back. Digger jabs him in the eye and whips him into the guardrail, causing Striker to arch his back. The referee starts yelling at Gravedigger to get in the ring so the match can start. Digger grabs Striker by the head and leads him over to the ring and slams his head onto the apron. He grabs Striker before he can bounce off and slams his head one more time before tossing him under the bottom rope into the ring. Gravedigger reaches up and pulls himself up onto the apron using the middle and top ropes. He climbs into the ring and walks over to Striker who starts getting up, but Gravedigger nails him with a big boot to the head, knocking him to the mat. Gravedigger looks around at the crowd as the referee rings the bell to start the match. Digger smirks as he looks down at Striker. He places a boot onto the chest of Striker and tells the referee to count the pin.
Zach Davis: What arrogance by Gravedigger!
Shannan Lerch: How can you blame him? Striker doesn’t even deserve to be in this match with Gravedigger. He has no business being in a ring with that rib injury period!
The referee slides into position.
1…kick out instantly by Striker. Gravedigger laughs as he kicks Striker every few seconds. Striker is finally allowed to get onto his hands and knees and Gravedigger kicks Striker straight in the ribs. Striker yells out in pain as Gravedigger does this 2 or 3 times before finally stopping. Striker catches his breath on the mat, but yells out in pain as Gravedigger walks across his injured ribs and the tape covering them. The crowd boos as Gravedigger walks to the nearby turnbuckle and taunts the capacity crowd.
Gravedigger hops down and reaches down to pick up Striker. Gravedigger irish whips Striker across the ring, catches him and presses him into the air for a big flapjack in the center of the ring. Striker lands on his midsection and holds his ribs in pain. Gravedigger mocks Striker and then picks him up off the mat. Gravedigger scoop slams Striker, bounces off the nearby ropes and drops a leg across the chest and midsection of Striker. Gravedigger rolls out of the ring and walks around ringside until he finds a chair. He shoves a ringside attendant out of the way and slides the chair into the ring. He grabs a second chair and rolls back into the ring with the chair. Gravedigger stands over Striker, holding the chair above him, threatening to bring it down onto his ribs.
Gravedigger is surprised when Striker swings his legs up and nails the Epitome of Balls and Gravedigger goes down hard to the mat. His eyes are bulging as he holds himself in the crotch and the crowd pops. Striker pulls himself over to the nearby ropes and uses the turnbuckle area to pull himself up. Gravedigger is finally starting to recover and he looks pissed off. He charges at Striker. Striker moves out of the way and Gravedigger hits the turnbuckle chest first. He bounces backwards, staggering. Striker pulls out all the stops and springboards off the turnbuckles and nails Gravedigger with a springboard hurracanrana. Gravedigger ends up back on his feet, but is floored as Striker hits him with a springboard splash in the corner. Gravedigger is not happy as he gets up quickly, but Striker is prepared and nails Gravedigger with a chair shot. It takes a second one to floor Gravedigger. Striker isn’t done yet as he hits Gravedigger with the chair a couple more times. Striker quickly hops out of the ring and grabs a trash can that is set up at ringside. He tosses the can over the top rope and rolls back into the ring. Gravedigger goes for a clothesline, but misses, bounces off the ropes and is caught in the jaw by a big superkick from Skyler Striker. Striker grabs Gravedigger as he gets back up and DDTs the Epitome of Hardcore in the center of the ring. Striker goes for his first pin attempt of the match.
Referee: 1…2 kickout happens right as the referee slaps the mat a second time.
Striker picks Gravedigger up and whips him across the ring. Gravedigger bounces back and Striker hits him in the midsection with a stiff kick, doubling Gravedigger over almost to the point of knocking him down. Striker starts delivering a series of kicks to Gravedigger and he really has no counter for them. Striker finally runs to the nearby ropes, springboards off of them and goes for a crossbody splash, but Gravedigger has recovered and catches Striker. He grins as he starts delivering a series of backbreakers, punishing the ribs of Skyler Striker.
Zach Davis: He is trying to wear him down for his Gringo Stretcher. If Gravedigger gets him in that move at this point, it’s all over for Striker.
Gravedigger whips Striker across the ring and goes for a big boot, but Striker ducks the attempt, bounces off the ropes and dives at Gravedigger as he turns around, knocking him down with a huge forearm to the skull. Striker goes for a kick but Gravedigger blocks it and grabs his leg, pulling him into him. Striker manages to leap into the air and hits Digger with an enziguri. Gravedigger is back up, holding his head from that kick. Skyler Striker runs over and goes for an axe kick on Gravedigger, but he sidesteps it and catches Skyler Striker in position for a Respecto. Gravedigger spins while holding Skyler Striker and lifts him up for a Respecto and plants him right on the trash can that Striker brought into the ring! Pin attempt by Gravedigger!
Kyle Steel: The winner of the first fall is GRAVEDIGGERRRR!!
The crowd boos and Gravedigger instantly covers Skyler Striker again for the final fall.
Referee: 1…2…kickout at the last second!
Shannan Lerch: Oh wow! We almost saw two falls in a row right there.
Zach Davis: Gravedigger is one up on Striker who just barely kicked out of that second pin attempt.
Gravedigger shrugs and stands up, taunting the crowd as he stalks Skyler Striker who is catching his breath on the mat.
Zach Davis: Skyler Striker better be coming up with a plan here because the odds are ALL stacked against him right now. Injured ribs that Gravedigger has taken advantage of fully in this match and he’s down one pinfall.
Shannan Lerch: All Gravedigger needs to do is catch him in the wrong spot and it’s all over for Skyler Striker.
Gravedigger grabs Skyler Striker and tosses him through the top and middle ropes to the outside as the crowd boos. The referee tries to get Gravedigger to stay in the ring, but Gravedigger tells him he can’t say anything to him, it’s no DQ. Digger hops out of the ring and stomps on Striker a few times before finally letting him up. Digger knees Striker in the midsection causing him to yell out in pain. Digger whips Striker into the barricade and the fans step forward and start slapping Striker on the shoulder and yelling obscenities at Gravedigger. Gravedigger walks over and taunts the fans as he slaps Striker hard across the face every few seconds, trying to further incite the fans. He doesn’t realize that he’s pissing Striker off and suddenly the crowd pops as Gravedigger is caught off guard when Striker explodes and starts hitting Gravedigger with huge rights and lefts.
Gravedigger tries to get away but Striker is all over him with fists and the occasional kicks to the side and legs of the monster Gravedigger. Digger finally gathers himself and shoves Striker into the barricade and runs at him for a big boot into the crowd. Striker ducks and Digger’s leg goes over into the crowd. Striker runs at him and clotheslines him into the crowd. Digger gets up and Striker slams him onto the guardrail and elbows him a couple of times on the back, leaving Gravedigger leaning over the guardrail. Striker glances at the ring and gingerly climbs onto the apron, occasionally looking like his ribs still hurt. Striker takes a second and leaps off the apron, dropping a leg across the back of Gravedigger and flipping him back over the guardrail to ringside. The crowd pops as Striker gets up and starts pounding away at the head of Digger. He gets Digger up and takes him over to the ring steps and slams his head not once but twice onto them and Digger staggers around at ringside trying to get away. He gets turned around and walks right into a dropkick by Skyler Striker.
Striker grabs a nearby chair and hits Gravedigger in the midsection with it, doubling him over. He brings the chair down upon Gravedigger’s back and tosses the chair down. Gravedigger tries to fight back as Striker picks him up. Striker grabs Digger by head head and drops him with a sitout facebuster onto the chair! The crowd goes nuts as Digger lays there knocked out. Striker says something to the referee about pinning him outside the ring but the referee says it only counts inside. Striker picks Gravedigger up and rolls him into the ring. Striker starts to roll into the ring but stops himself. He grabs the chair he just used on Gravedigger and slides it into the ring. He slides in after it, picks it up and delivers a huge chair shot to the back of Gravedigger before rolling him over into a pin attempt.
Referee: 1…2…kick out! Gravedigger kicks out and Striker looks frustrated. Striker stands up and hits a standing moonsault onto Gravedigger. Striker quickly scales the turnbuckle and dives off hitting an elbow drop. Another pin attempt.
Referee: 1…2…kickout! Digger kicks out once more. Skyler Striker picks Gravedigger up and irish whips him across the mat and puts him down with the Reimplementation!
1…2…3!! Gravedigger is laid out from that move.
Kyle Steel: The winner of the second fall….SKYLER STRIKKERRRR! The winner of the next fall WILL win this match!
Unlike Gravedigger after his first pinfall, Striker does not go after the pin. It took what Striker had to put Gravedigger down that time and the two men lay there catching their breath for almost a minute before they both start stirring. Both men start slowly getting up a couple of feet from each other. They eventually lock eyes and come at each other swinging wildly in the center of the ring and the crowd pops at the brawl that has once more resumed in the center of the ring. Skyler Striker somehow comes up with the advantage and moves Gravedigger towards the side of the ring. Striker irish whips him across the ring, but Gravedigger reverses it and catches Striker in a huge spinebuster. Gravedigger is revved up and he bounces off the ropes as Striker gets up and floors him with a big boot.
Shannan Lerch: Gravedigger waits for Striker to get up again and it looks like he’s going for a Death Driver!
No, Gravedigger goes for a bearhug instead!
Zach Davis: This is not typically a move that Gravedigger goes for but it’s going to be effective nonetheless.
Skyler Striker yelling out in pain. The referee asks if he gives up as Gravedigger starts rag dolling him in the bearhug.
Shannan Lerch: Trapped inside Gravedigger’s massive arms is not where you want to be when you have injured ribs!
Zach Davis: I don’t even see how he’s not tapped out already.
Shannan Lerch: He should! He got lucky to even pin Gravedigger a moment ago!
Zach Davis: Can you ever be impartial?
Gravedigger squeezing the bearhug for all he can and Striker starts going limp. The referee grabs his arm and lifts it up for a second before letting it go and it drops. The referee holds one finger up and repeats the process. The arm drops a second time and he lets the crowd know how to count to two. The arm is held up once more and it starts to drop but stops halfway and the crowd starts stomping their feet and yelling at Striker to get out. Striker starts hitting rights on Gravedigger’s head but he refuses to let go of the hold. Striker finally bites the nose of Gravedigger and Digger yells out as he lets go.
Striker bounces off the nearby ropes and nails Gravedigger with a beautiful dropkick, flooring him. Digger is back up. Striker goes for another series of kicks but Gravedigger grabs his leg, pulls him in and nails a big capture suplex, shaking the ring in the process. Gravedigger picks Striker up. He has him on his shoulder and runs across the ring. Gravedigger plants Striker in the center of the ring with a Toluca Slam. He jumps up and smiles down at Striker who is holding his back and ribs.
Shannan Lerch: Just more punishment for those ribs of Striker’s.
Gravedigger climbs out of the ring and rummages underneath the ring. He pulls out a table and slides it into the ring. He climbs back in and props it into the corner. Gravedigger picks Striker back up and puts him on his shoulder. He signals for another Toluca Slam, this one through the table. Striker slides off of Digger’s back and shoves Gravedigger towards the table, but Digger stops himself and turns around into a springboard Shining Wizard!! The crowd goes crazy as Digger is laid out in the center of the ring. Striker points to the turnbuckles and the crowd is getting even louder.
Zach Davis: Could this be the Skyler High Dive??
Striker slowly climbs the turnbuckle. He looks out at the crowd and leaps off nailing it!! He turns to go for the pin, but Keynan Isara slides into the ring!
Zach Davis: What the hell is he doing out here!?
Shannan Lerch: Gravedigger always has an insurance policy, you know this!
Striker gets up to go after Keynan but he’s not fast enough and Keynan gores Striker right through the table that Gravedigger had set up earlier. The crowd boos heavily as Keynan Isara stands up and roars out in defiance. Digger grins as he slowly stands up a few seconds later. Digger points to Striker and Keynan picks him up and walks him over to Gravedigger.
Gravedigger lifts him up onto his shoulder and drops to the mat with an arrogant grin planting Striker with a Death Driver. Keynan jumps out of the ring and walks up the ramp backwards as Gravedigger covers Striker for the pin.
kick out! Everyone is shocked, especially Digger and Keynan as Striker manages to get a shoulder up. Gravedigger is livid and starts arguing with the referee. Skyler Striker crawls over to the nearby turnbuckle and starts pulling himself up. Gravedigger turns around and walks over to Striker. He goes to grab Striker, but Striker manages to come out of nowhere with a superkick, knocking Gravedigger down to the mat. Gravedigger is slow to get up, holding his jaw as Striker is slow as well after everything the match has taken out of him. The two men lock up in the center of the ring. Gravedigger irish whips Striker across the ring. Striker bounces off the ropes, Digger goes for a clothesline, but Striker ducks it and comes back from the other side. He kicks Digger in the gut and surprises everyone with the Welcome to Oblivion!! He covers Gravedigger!!
Zach Davis: Striker did it!!! He beat Gravedigger!!
The crowd pops and goes crazy as “Hands” by The Almost starts playing on the speakers. The crowd eventually starts singing along as Striker slowly climbs one of the turnbuckles and raises his arms in victory. Gravedigger rolls out of the ring and glares up at Striker for a few seconds before heading up the ramp. The crowd’s cheers are deafening as Striker continues to celebrate his win.
Kyle Steel: The following contest is a Crucifixion Match! Introducing first. . .
The camera pans to the titantron, where an oak door comes into view. A thump is heard, and the door shakes on its hinges. Several more thumps occur, until the blade of an ax busts through the door. Smoke begins to form on the stage, as a dark figure steps out. Suddenly a woman voice yells out from the speaker.
"No, go away!
Leave me alone!"
Smoke billows down the aisle as the man walks down it to the ring, his identity shrouded in the smog. Meanwhile, on the titantron, the ax makes a large hole in the wood, and a hand reaches in for the door knob, the fingernails painted black. Again the frightened voice rings out as the mystery man slides into the ring.
"Don't you come in here!
I don't want you here.!"
The mystery man watches the titantron now, as the door opens, and the same man standing in the ring, steps into the house. A lightning bolt cracks behind him, equal in volume to the string of fireworks that fire up on the ramp. The man on the titantron rubs his thumb on the door, leaving a bloody smear on the polished oak. He lifts the ax with both hands, as the voice pleads.
"No, No, No, NO!!
The scream is cut off as the man swings the ax. Blood appears to splatter across the tron, and then the name "Nathan von Liebert" is written with a finger painted black. Nathan, who is in the ring, falls on his knees, never taking his eyes off the 'tron until it goes black. He then scans the members of the crowd that he could without contorting his torso, as Kyle Steel announces him.
Kyle Steel: From the Nightmare Realm, he weighs in at 229 pounds. He is the “Devil’s Right Hand” Nathan von LIEBERT! And his opponent. . .
The lights turn to a blood red as the crowd stands up on their feet, as "Professional Griefers" hits the P.A and FPV, signature duster and Genesis T-Shirt, comes out the curtains. He plays to excited crowd like the circus ringmaster, fistbumping furiously along with the crowd and the music, and each fistbump triggers an explosion of black pyro from the stage.
FPV takes the walk down the ramp, slapping fans hands before climbing the steps and on top of the turnbuckles, where he fistbumps one more time, sending one more explosion of pyro throughout the arena. He climbs into the ring and sits in a lotuc position in the corner, waiting for the match to start.
Kyle Steel: From Atlanta Georgia, he weighs in at 205 pounds. He is the “Professional Griever” FPV!
The camera pan around the ring, taking in the scenery before the match begins. The only weapons visible outside the ring was the cross, but who knew what was underneath the ring. The crowd is restless, watching both competitors who stand around, listening as the referee explains the rules to the two men.
Zach Davis: A rather unorthodox climax to the blood feud these two men have had in the last few weeks. In a match originally planned for Steeltoe Joe and Andrew Warhawk, these two men with duke it out, with the match ending only when one is nailed to the cross. Rather gruesome when you think about it.
Shannan Lerch: Let’s see that red hand bleed from a nail in it!
It is evident who the fan favorite was as both men step forward to the center of the ring. The referee steps back, with nothing left to do but watch this bloodbath. The bell rings.
DING DING DING
Both men step forward, sizing each other up. Words are exchanged, and Frankie suddenly catches Nathan dead across the face with a palm strike. Nathan rubs his jaw, and slaps Frankie back. And then the slugfest began. Elbow smashes from Frankie and uppercuts from Nathan. Both men hammer at each other, not holding back at all. And at first, it doesn’t seem like one was going to get an advantage, until Nathan drops to one knee, and cold cocks Frankie in his. . . well, his cock.
Zach Davis: Stiff shot to the groin from Nathan.
Nathan shoots the ropes, coming back with bicycle kick in mind. But Frankie recovers enough to catch Liebert’s leg. With Nathan balancing on one leg, Frankie delivers a low blow of his own, but this one puts its receiver on his back. Then, with his grasp still on the leg, Frankie drops a double leg drop between the legs of Nathan, inciting a loud cheer from the crowd.
Zach Davis: Not only are both men out for blood, they’re also seeking to take away the other man’s manhood.
Shannan Lerch: Isn’t it hot?
Zach Davis: …
Frankie rolls out of the ring, lifting the apron up to find the first weapon of the night. And he finds it with a steel chair. Climbing back into the ring, Frankie lays into the prone Nathan with a chair shot. And two more for good measure. But FPV wasn’t done; he dropped the chair to the mat, and pulled Nathan to his feet. FPV tucks Nathan’s head between his legs, and then lifts the man up, drilling his head onto the steel chair with a jumping piledriver! Nathan collapses to the mat, and rolls over onto his back; a tiny trickle of red can be seen running down his forehead.
Zach Davis: Nathan is bleeding; Vlad is about to come out to play.
Shannan Lerch: I think that is exactly what Frankie wanted. Now he can maim the man who killed his best friend.
Frankie bends down, dipping his fingers in the blood of Nathan, showing it to him. And then Frankie lifts the chair, slamming it straight down on Nathan’s face.
Zach Davis: Vlad might be out, but he’s out cold.
Frankie drags the limp body of Nathan over to the corner, and sticks his neck between the chair. FPV then climbs the turnbuckle, perched up with one idea in mind; to stomp Nathan’s neck.
Shannan Lerch: This is exactly what Nathan tried to do to the Polar Phantasm. This was what got Frankie involved in this whole fight with Nathan.
FPV leaps off the top rope, Goomba stomp in mind, but Nathan rolls out of the way and to his feet. Frankie lands, and attempts to catch Nathan before he can free his head of the chair. But as Frankie grabs Nathan, the Devil’s Right Hand delivers a headbutt to Frankie, driving the chair into his skull. With Frankie stunned, Nathan pulls the chair free, and then proceeds to drive it into FPV’s skull a second time. And if that wasn’t enough, Nathan drops the chair before proceeding to drive Frankie onto the chair with a Tiger Driver.
Zach Davis: Nathan is targeting the neck. He’s preparing for a Straight Jacket Drop.
Shannan Lerch: Or he’s just trying to kill FPV.
Nathan rolls out of the ring, completely ignoring the cross for the moment. Instead, he rummages under the ring and pulls two weapons out: a barbed wire board and a pane of glass. Sliding both weapons under the ring, he props each item up in opposite corners. Nathan then pulls Frankie up, lifting the man up on his back. Nathan parades the bloodied man around, stopping at the barbed wire board. He then turns around, before dropping Frankie onto the barbed wire with a Samoan Drop.
Zach Davis: The barbed wire is ripping at Frankie’s skin!
Nathan doesn’t let Frankie lay too long on the wire, though. The Devil’s Right Hand pulls FPV to his feet, and hoists him up once more. Nathan walks over to the pane of glass this time, another Samoan Drop in mind. But Frankie delivers one, two, three elbow strikes to Nathan’s head, allowing the former People’s champ to clamber down. Frankie puts Nathan to the mat quickly with a scoop slam, but he doesn’t let Nathan rest. Positioning the former television champion, Frankie lifts up and over, slingshoting Nathan straight through the Pane of Glass.
Shannan Lerch: Pearly Gates straight through the Pane of Glass!
Zach Davis: Both men are out to maim each other tonight, and the fans here are loving it!
Frankie looks at the battered Liebert, who is still moving despite all the damage he’s taken so far. FPV rolls out of the ring, and reaches under the apron, looking for the next device of pain. And he finds it, to a large pop from the crowd, in the form of a table wrapped in barbed wire.
Zach Davis: That table is similar to the one Tek put FPV through several weeks ago, a weapon furnished by Nathan himself.
Frankie looks up, planning his next move, before setting the table up outside the ring. He then rolls into the ring, and pulls Nathan to his feet. Up they both go to the top rope, and Frankie positions himself for a high risk maneuver.
Shannan Lerch: This looks like the same situation from the tables match you mentioned, Zach. Frankie is looking for a Frakensteiner from the top rope onto the table below. . .
Frankie leaps up, wrapping his legs around Nathan’s neck, before flipping Nathan’s body over. Both men crash through the table below, as the crowd pops with excitement. “Oh Shit!” and “This is Amazing” chants begin to form, as both men are slowly stirring on the concrete below.
Zach Davis: The sheer amount of damage both men have sustained is beyond equal. They truly hate each other.
Frankie slowly climbs to his feet, and he heads for the cross, ready to end Nathan. Dragging the cross over, Frankie lays it behind Nathan, and then takes up position a few feet away.
Zach Davis: I think Frankie is thinking Headshot. Nathan will fall right back onto the cross and this should be over once the two nails are added.
Nathan slowly rises to his feet, the crowd deathly silent. Frankie yells out the two fateful words, followed by the superkick of all superkicks. . . a superkick that Nathan ducks under. Like the true snake he is, Nathan slides behind Frankie, locking in an inverted facelock, before dropping Frankie neck first onto the cross below.
Shannan Lerch: Nathan counters the Headshot with a Straight Jacket Drop. He can end it here.
But Nathan, or Vlad, doesn’t end it here; he wasn’t finished inflicting pain. Nathan picks the cross up, laying it over FPV’s body, with the long end of the cross between Frankie’s legs. Nathan then scales the top rope, measuring from above. Nathan leaps off the top, flash photography filling the entire arena, and crashes onto an awaiting Frankie below with a 450 Splash. Both men lay still after this.
Shannan Lerch: Could they both be dead?
Zach Davis: It sure looks like it, Shannan.
And then the entire arena pops when both men begin to stir. First Nathan, and then Frankie. They’re too weak to get to their feet, but they both make it to their knees. And then both men lock eyes. They see each other’s bloodied faces; the damage that has been done. Nathan clenches a fist and nails Frankie across the jaw. Frankie spits some blood to the floor, and punches Nathan back. And there, in the middle of the floor, both on their knees, the two men begin to have a striking contest. With each strike from Nathan, the crowd groans, only to cheer loudly when Frankie strikes him back. They universal cheer is louder when one of Frankie’s strikes staggers Nathan. With the momentum behind him, Frankie strikes out again. . . and again. . . and again. Frankie suddenly rears back and cold cocks Nathan across the face, sending the man to his back to a huge pop from the crowd.
Zach Davis: Even after everything, both men are still fighting.
Frankie looks around at all the carnage, and something catches his eye; a shard of glass. Frankie crawls over, picking up the glass for the entire arena to see. And then he crawls over to Nathan, ripping away the tattered remains of Nathan’s tee shirt to reveal his bruised and bloodied chest. And, in front of thousands and thousands of fans, Frankie carves the initials “FPV” onto the left pectoral of Nathan, over his heart.
Zach Davis: If anyone thought this was going to be a regular hardcore match, you were wrong. Over a year ago, Nathan carved his own initials into the skin of an opponent. And now he gets his payback.
Shannan Lerch: Karma’s a bitch, Zach.
Zach Davis: You never told me your real name was Karma. . .
Frankie drops the glass, looking at the mark he left on Nathan. He slowly stands, and props the cross up against the barrier. Immediately, security begins to usher the spectators back, because what happened next was going to be gruesome. Ring hands bring over the hammer and nail, which Frankie sets down on the ground.
Zach Davis: The end is near. Who shall be crucified?
Frankie reaches down, pulling Nathan to his feet, but the Devil’s Right Hand suddenly lashes out, catching Frankie in the windpipe with an elbow. Nathan then steps behind him, locking in a sleeper, trying to choke FPV out. The crowd boos, louder than heard in a long time, and in the beginning, FPV fights back. But the match had taken its toll on him, and slowly but surely, he passes out. Once Nathan thinks he’s out, he releases the hold, and lays FPV across the cross. Reaching down, Nathan holds the nail steady as he drives the hammer home. It only takes two swings to put the nail completely through, but Nathan enjoys Frankie’s suffering by hitting the nail several more times. Of course, Frankie is awakened by this, but he can do little as Nathan drives the second nail into the other hand. The match was over.
Shannan Lerch: Zach, call for the security. Nathan has completed the requirements to win the match, but I don’t think he’s done quite yet.
Shannan was dead on with her assumption, because instead of walking away, Nathan sits the cross up so Frankie is hanging. Nathan then climbs onto the barricade, before leaping into the cross in the electric chair position.
Zach Davis: Nathan has a Demon Bounce in mind. . .
Shannan Lerch: Stop him, Zach! That is metal in Frankie’s hands, not elastic rope. Metal doesn’t give like the ropes do!
Security is rushing to the scene, but not quick enough. Nathan leans down to whisper something in Frankie’s ear, before leaping off with Frankie’s head in grasp. The whiplash drives Frankie’s head forward, before whipping backwards, driving his head into the post. The force from the move sends FPV tipping backwards, up and over the barricade into the front row seating. Security surround Nathan, but he walks away without incident. Meanwhile, EMTs rush to Frankie’s aid. And the entire arena is silent.
Zach Davis: This match never should have been booked, or even... conceived. I'm disgusted. I just hope Frank is okay.
Kyle Steel: Next up, we have our TAG TEAM TITLES MATCH!
The fans cheer.
Zach Davis: What a night this has been... and now we're going to crown the new Tag Team Champions!
Kyle Steel: Introducing first...
“ With Oden On Our Side” Hit’s the PA system. The arena grows dark as the fans get to their feet to catch a glimpse of the stage. The fans stand and cheer an once the vocals starts, the arena lights flash back on and there stands Odin Balfore, centre stage. Odin stares down at the ring with a sinister grin as the fans sing along with the chorus.
Crowd: Futile to resist! You know we have come! Futile to resist... the battle is.. already won!
Crowd: Futile to resist! You know we have come! Futile to resist... the battle is.. already won!
The fans pop insanely right after as Odin begins to walk down the ramp at a slow an methodical pace. Once he gets to the foot of the ring, he steps up on it and looks around the arena again before stepping over the ropes..
Crowd: Futile to resist! You know we have come! Futile to resist...
Odin cuts off the fans as he raises his hand in triumph. Odin turns back to the ring as the fans finish their part.
Crowd: The battle is.. already won!
Odin waits for his tag team partner.
Kyle Steel: He is... ODIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN BALFOOOOOOOOOORE! Next, his partner..
“Capricco” by Krzysztof Penderecki hits the sound system with a loud hit of drums followed by a sharp harmony of horns and strings. Benjamin Atreyu casually steps out onto the entrance ramp, savoring the scowls of the audience. After breathing in their discontent he descends the ramp to the ring.
Kyle Steel: Hailing from Saint Paul, Minnesota and weighing in at two hundred and thirty one pounds, self-proclaimed "God Given Greatness" Benjamin Atreyu!
He slides into the ring and jumps to his feet. He walks to the center of the ring, raising his fist in the air, as if announcing his victory was assured before the match even began. The crowd erupts in boos he steps back into his corner.
Kyle Steel: And next, representing Genesis....
The opening plucking of "Toast to the Fam" begins, and the crowd cheers loudly, signalling the arrival of the Homegrown Players. Waylon Cash, and Steve Orbit come dancing out onto the stage.
Kyle Steel: Now coming to the ring, accompanied by their manager, Roxxanne Savage, with a combined weight of four-hundred and seventy pounds. "The Hellbilly" Waylon Cash, and "The Mack" Steve Orbit... The Homegrown Players!
Steve and Waylon stand at opposite sides of the ramp, encouraging the crowd to make noise as multicolored fountains of sparks spring up all around them, and Roxxanne stands in the center of the stage, grinning. The two men come together, and bump fists, before all three of them step down the ramp. The fans scream their love, as the two men slide under the bottom rope, and jump to the second rope, in opposite corners of the ring. Their music slowly quiets, as both men climb down, and meet in the center of the ring. They have a quick game of rock, paper, scissors to determine who starts the match, before heading to their corner.
Shannan Lerch: Looks to me like Waylon Cash won the rock, paper, scissors game. Which is good, because he's fresh. Orbit wrestled hours ago, but a match against Stuart Slane will take a lot out of you!
Odin Balfore starts the match for his team as the bell sounds.
Zach Davis: Odin Balfore versus Waylon Cash... here we go!
Cash runs at Balore, who swings at him. Cash expected it and ducks below Balfore's arm, hits the ropes, bounces back and hits a Flying Forearm to Balfore. Balfore stumbles back, but doesn't go down. Cash bounces off the ropes again and hits a Running Calf Kick, but again, Balfore doesn't go down. Cash gets to his feet and Odin yells at him, telling him to bring it. Cash bounces off the ropes one more time, running towards Balfore. Balfore knows he's coming and goes for a Big Boot, but Cash outsmarts Balfore and stops in his tracks before that. As Balfore's foot comes back down Cash snaps off a Dropkick, sending Balfore stumbling backwards! Balfore backs into the Homegrown Players corner. Orbit grabs his head, drops down, snapping it against the ropes. This sends Balfore lurching forward, and Cash grabs him and hits a Snap Powerslam!
Shannan Lerch: WHOA!
Into a pin!
No!, Balfore kicks out.
Zach Davis: Nearfall already!, after some good teamwork by the Players.
Cash gets up and stomps methodically at the big man. Cash raises his arms to cheers as he backs off, letting Odin get up. Once Odin is up Cash drops him with a Sitout Neckbreaker!
Shannan Lerch: Perfectly executed!
Cash floats over and pins Odin again, hooking the leg.
No!, Balfore kicks out again.
Zach Davis: This may be a Tag Team Titles match, but you've got to remember: we're seeing two former World Champions compete here, and they're competing at a World Championship level. That means that victory will NOT come easily.
Cash picks Balfore up and puts him in a headlock. He takes him to the HGP corner and tags in Orbit.
Shannan Lerch: Orbit versus Balfore, one of the top feuds of 2012!
Orbit climbs onto the turnbuckle and jumps off with an Axehandle Smash to Balfore's back as Cash releases the headlock and exits onto the apron. Balfore stumbles away and Orbit waits for him to turn around before going for a Standing Dropkick. Balfore has had enough of taking punishment, however; he sidesteps the Dropkick.
Zach Davis: Odin looks to go back on offense, here we go!
Orbit gets back up AND GETS HIT WITH A PATENTED ODIN BIG BOOT!
Shannan Lerch: ODIN TAKES ORBIT'S HEAD OFF!
Balfore then tags in Atreyu. Atreyu comes in, staring down Orbit as he gets up, holding his head. Atreyu grins, cocky look on his face, and he runs at Orbit. He hits a Lariat, sending Orbit down. Orbit gets back up and Atreyu hits him with a big elbow strike. Then another, another... and finally a European Uppercut!, sending Orbit flying back into the turnbuckle.
Zach Davis: Beautiful striking combination by the self proclaimed God Given Greatness!
Orbit stumbles out of the corner and into a Snap Suplex by Atreyu!
Shannan Lerch: Atreyu made it to the finals of the WCF Classic Tournament and he's showing why here tonight.
Atreyu doesn't miss a beat. He turns to Waylon Cash, hitting him with an elbow to his head and knocking him off the apron unexpectedly before dropping and pinning Orbit.
No!, Orbit kicks out! The crowd cheers.
Zach Davis: The Philadelphia crowd is firmly behind Steve Orbit here tonight, that's for sure.
Shannan Lerch: A degenerate pimp is over in Philly? Big surprise!
Atreyu decides to slow the pace down by pulling Orbit into the middle of the ring and locking in a Figure Four.
Zach Davis: One of the hands down best submission moves in all of pro wrestling, applied expertly by Benjamin Atreyu here.
The crowd boos as Atreyu cranks on the move, looking at Orbit with a sneer on his face. The crowd's boos turn to chants of "LET'S GO ORBIT! LET'S GO ORBIT!" Orbit listens to their chants and begins to come alive. He works at getting out of the submission, tossing his body weight left and right...
Shannan Lerch: Steve Orbit looking to shift the weight of the submission onto Atreyu here... but can he do it?
After several moments.... he does! Orbit turns Atreyu over and now Orbit is the one screaming in pain! It doesn't last long, however, as Balfore hits the ring and kicks Orbit, releasing the Figure Four.
Zach Davis: So much for that!
Against the referee's wishes Balfore doesn't leave the ring. Instead, he picks Orbit up and lifts him for a Suplex. Orbit shifts his weight and lands behind Balfore, Dropkicking him and sending him flying out of the ring! He then dives and tags Waylon back into the ring!
Shannan Lerch: Here comes Waylon Cash, and now we've got Cash versus Atreyu!
Cash Springboards into the ring, hitting Atreyu with a Crossbody! Both men get to their feet and Atreyu is met with a Running High Knee from Waylon Cash. Atreyu goes down again, gets back up, and with the fans on their feet Cash hits a Gutwrench Suplex into a pin!
NO! Atreyu kicks out!
Zach Davis: Cash almost had it!
Shannan Lerch: Benjamin Atreyu and Gein Spector made Waylon's life a living hell many months ago. How sweet would it have been for Waylon to get the pinfall there?
Cash isn't done. He kicks at Atreyu several times before climbing to the top.
Zach Davis: Here comes Cash's Swan Dive Headbutt!
Cash flies off the top with his Headbutt, but Atreyu rolls out of the way and tags in Balfore! The fans boo as Balfore comes into the ring. Cash stumbles up and BAM! Another Big Boot!, right to Waylon Cash's head!
Shannan Lerch: Damn! Odin Balfore back into this contest with the best Big Boot in the business.
After the attempted Headbutt and then the Big Boot, Cash is dazed to say the least. Odin lifts him and hits a stiff Headbutt of his own. It sends Cash back down to the mat. Balfore stays on the attack, dropping down and putting him into a Chinlock.
Zach Davis: Balfore, wearing Cash down here and slowing the pace of the match once more, which he and Atreyu seem intent on doing.
However, the fans once again are firmly on the side of the Homegrown Players. They begin to chant for Cash now, but Balfore has his Chinlock firmly applied. After several moments Cash gets his arm up, urging the crowd on as they urge him on as well. The "WAY-LON CASH!" chants get louder and, finally, Cash begins working his way up! Balfore keeps the hold locked in but it's inevitable; Cash elbows Odin in the gut and breaks free!
Shannan Lerch: Waylon, back on the attack!
Cash goes to the ropes but no!, Balfore runs at him and hits a HUGE Clothesline, taking Cash right back down! The fans boo as Odin starts stomping at him. Out of nowhere, Odin turns and grabs Orbit, pulling him into the ring.
Zach Davis: Oh come on, what's Odin doing here?
Atreyu hits the ring as well now!, and all hell breaks loose. The two of them both kick Atreyu in the gut and hit a Double Suplex on Orbit, despite him not being the legal man. They kick him out of the ring before turning their attention back to Cash, who is.
Shannan Lerch: Smart tag team wrestling. They've taken Orbit out and now they're looking to put Cash away. But how?
Atreyu begins climbing to the top as Balfore lifts Cash up. Odin lifts Cash up onto his shoulders...
Zach Davis: Oh my... they're going for the Doomsday Device!
Atreyu flies off the top AND THEY HIT IT!
Shannan Lerch: DOOMSDAY DEVICE FROM ATREYU AND BALFORE!
Cash crashes to the mat and instantly Odin pins him! Orbit is going to reenter the ring but Atreyu flies through the ropes with a Suicide Dive!
Zach Davis: NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!
NO! CASH KICKS OUT!
Shannan Lerch: I don't believe it!
Balfore is shocked as well! He looks at the referee, incredulous. He begins arguing with the ref.
Zach Davis: Now THIS isn't too smart. Come on, Odin, you're better than this, don't let your emotions get the best of you here!
With his attention off of the active competitor, this gives Cash the chance to roll Balfore up from behind!
NO!, Balfore escapes it!
Shannan Lerch: We almost had New Champions, again!
Both men are to their feet. Balfore runs at him and goes for a Spear but Cash jumps over him, causing him to crash shoulder first into the turnbuckle! Cash then tags Orbit in!
Zach Davis: Here we go again!
Orbit comes in as Balfore turns to him. Orbit snaps off a stiff Spinning Backfist, hitting Balfore right in his face. Balfore doesn't go down.. until Orbit hits a big Enziguri! Balfore drops and Orbit pins him.
No!, Atreyu hits the ring and kicks Orbit off!
Shannan Lerch: Although Balfore and Atreyu have teamed before, the Homegrown Players are more of an experienced tag team than they are. However, we've seen great tag team wrestling from Balfore and Atreyu tonight and I think that may have thrown the Players for a loop.
Zach Davis: We weren't sure Atreyu wanted to "play ball," so to speak, but it looks like he's been motivated to go for those Tag Titles tonight, no matter his opinion of Odin.
Atreyu gets back onto the apron as Orbit and Balfore both lay on the mat, catching their breath. Orbit dives and tags in Cash.
Shannan Lerch: Once again, here comes Waylon!
And as he does, Odin dives and tags in Atreyu. Atreyu and Cash meet in the middle of the ring, brawling back and forth!
Zach Davis: Waylon Cash! Benjamin Atreyu! Here we go again!
Atreyu throws Cash to the ropes, but Cash reverses it, sending Atreyu into them instead. Atreyu bounces back and Cash runs at him, hitting a High Knee.
Shannan Lerch: Here comes the Georgia Two Step once again!
Atreyu knows what's coming, however, and repeatedly kicks Cash away. Atreyu works his way up and Cash runs at him, going for a Clothesline. Atreyu ducks it and Cash Clotheslines the ref instead.
Zach Davis: UH OH.
Before Cash can react, Atreyu low blows him from behind! Cash stumbles forward as Odin gets into the ring. Orbit hits the ring as well but Odin runs at him, hitting a huge Clothesline and sending him right back out. Atreyu lifts Cash into the Burning Hammer position.
Shannan Lerch: He's going for the Requiem in D Minor!
Before he drops him, Odin runs and hits a Big Boot to Cash's head! Afterwards, Atreyu finishes the move, hitting a Sitout Facebuster!
Zach Davis: Requiem in D Minor, there it is!
Atreyu pins Cash, hooking his leg, as the ref sloppily slaps his hand to the mat.
Shannan Lerch: There it is.... Atreyu and Balfore, new Tag Team Champions.
Atreyu's music hits as Balfore takes the Tag Team Titles from the ref. He hands one to Atreyu who takes it, greedily.
Zach Davis: Atreyu may not particularly like his partner, but he likes gold.
Balfore climbs up one turnbuckle and raises his belt in the air as Atreyu simply savors the moment after defeating Waylon Cash. Cash and Orbit regroup on the outside.
Shannan Lerch: Not the best night for Genesis so far tonight, and particularly Steve Orbit. This is the first time in a LONG time that Orbit is without gold around his waist.
Zach Davis: If I know Steve Orbit and Genesis, One isn't going to stop them. This was any team's match, Shannan. The Homegrown Players aren't going to stop trying to get those belts.
Balfore and Atreyu continue celebrating as the Players leave to the back.
Zach Davis: We’re just moments away from…
Shannan Lerch: An assassination, supposedly. Jonny Fly versus Seth Lerch, with the fate of WCF hanging in the balance.
Zach Davis: This match is taking place for one reason and one reason only; Jonny Fly has purchased control of WCF. However, he’s not done with Seth. He wanted this match. He wants to punish Seth, hurt him, KILL him even for sending him to prison. He’s given Seth a chance to win WCF back, but at the cost of allowing Fly the opportunity to wrestle him in no disqualification match. We’ve seen a lot of things from Jonny Fly in his time with WCF, but vengeance isn’t one of them…until now.
Shannan Lerch: On a personal note, this is going to be a tough match for me to commentate. On one hand we have my brother and on the other the love of my life.
Zach Davis: Fly doesn’t love you Shannan.
Shannan Lerch: He’ll come around.
As has been down countless times before, though not quite like this, “Master of Puppets” hits over the PA system and Seth Lerch walks out from the back. Wearing a black band shirt and jean shorts, Seth steps onto the stage to his normal huge chorus of boos. Seth doesn’t seem bothered by the reaction and slowly begins the walk down the ramp to ringside. He slides into the ring and begins headbanging to his theme.
Zach Davis: I’ll give it to Seth, he doesn’t look scared. He looks about normal. I wonder why?
Shannan Lerch: I don’t think he’s going to look ‘normal’ for long, Zach.
The lights in the arena fade out. After a few suspense filled seconds the words ‘The Dynasty’ appear in bold italic lettering on the jumbotron as the beginning of “300 Violin Orchestra” begins to play. A single spotlight turns on and illuminates the silhouette of a man standing on the stage. As the song begins to speed up, the lights come on revealing Jonny Fly. Fly stands on the stage with his eyes directly fixed on the ring as the crowd explodes in cheers.
Zach Davis: Man, Fly looks focused today.
Shannan Lerch: His face…so intense.
The jumbotron changes to the words ‘This is the Era of Jonny Fly.’ The music slows down and a barrage of fireworks go off behind Fly. His eyes remain fixed on Seth Lerch throughout. Slowly and deliberately he begins to make his way toward the ring. The music picks up one last time and Fly stops at the bottom of the ramp with his eyes still directly fixed on the ring. He takes few moments to exchange another long stare before making his way onto the apron. Fly turns out toward the crowd and thumps his shirt, across the words “The Dynasty.” The crowd goes CRAZY as Fly ducks under the top rope and into the ring across from Seth Lerch.
Crowd: Jonny Fly! Jonny Fly! Jonny Fly!
Shannan Lerch: Seth is absolutely despised by the fans, and while Fly’s historically had a love-hate relationship with them, he’ll have the crowd at his back tonight.
Zach Davis: This is a no disqualification match, so everything goes tonight but counts must take place inside the ring. At the end of this match we’re going to know who the owner of WCF is going to be. Shall we get this party started?
Shannan Lerch: I guess it’s that time. Best of luck Seth.
Ding, Ding, Ding!
The bell rings and…nobody moves. The crowd is on their feet and you can cut the tension with a knife inside the Verizon Center. Fly stands facing Seth but showing no signs of movement whatsoever. Lerch stares across at Fly trying to anticipate his first move. Fly waits for the crowd noise to die down before stepping toward the center of the ring. Seth takes a step backwards in response, moving cautiously, knowing that Fly is playing coy and can strike at any point.
Zach Davis: Fly continues to just stare at Seth. He’s wanted this match for a month now and went to great lengths in buying the company just to secure Seth’s participation in it. It’s not so much about owning WCF, but hurting the man who…well, used to.
Shannan Lerch: I can’t imagine what Seth is thinking right now. He knows as well as anyone what Jonny Fly is capable of inside the ring, and now he’s not more than five feet away from him.
Suddenly, Fly bursts forward running at Seth and driving his knee into his midsection. Seth falls backward into the corner.
Zach Davis: Big time knee right there. Fly had a lot of emphasis on that strike.
Shannan Lerch: Yep, and we’re just getting started.
Irish whip by Fly, absolutely manhandling the much smaller Seth Lerch across the ring. Seth is smart enough to spin and allow his back to soak up the blow from the turnbuckle. Fly races across the ring, driving his elbow into the jaw of Lerch and knocking him back down to a sitting position in the corner.
Zach Davis: Down goes Lerch!
Shannan Lerch: Sheesh! There is no compassion in that man right now, he just wants blood.
Zach Davis: It’s hard to imagine how Seth is going to get any offense in during this match, and if he can’t, he’s going to get his ass kicked. It’s as simple as that. Fly won’t stop this beating until he bleeds that son of a bitch dry.
Fly steps away from Seth and takes a second to look down at his boss and evaluate his plight. Movement from Lerch causes Fly to cock his head just a bit in curiosity.
Shannan Lerch: It looks like Seth is….
Crowd: SHOCKED POP!
Zach Davis: Seth Lerch just jumped back to his feet!
Lerch runs forward and delivers a stiff shot to Fly’s jaw. Fly falls back a step before regaining his balance. Lerch goes for another punch but Fly grabs his fist out of the air and pushes him away. Fly lunges toward Seth lashing out with a HUGE forearm that takes Seth to the ground.
Shannan Lerch: My god, what a shot by Fly!
Fly reaches down with just one hand and grabs Seth by the throat all of the way off the mat. He sends him forcefully into the corner. Squaring his shoulders, Fly continues to assault the cornered Seth Lerch blasting him with a stiff forearm to the left side of the face that jars him out of the corner….Fly spins his body three-hundred and sixty degrees…
Zach Davis: DISCUS FLY!
Shannan Lerch: Jesus Christ, what power.
Zach Davis: Seth just hit the mat in a heap. Fly is 225 pounds, but just hit Seth with that uppercut like he was double that.
The vicious uppercut gains the attention of the referee who quickly kneels down by Seth to make sure he’s okay. Fly hovers above Lerch just waiting for the next sign of life. The referee moves away and Fly goes right back to work. Fly grabs Lerch by the shoulders and viciously lifts him onto his feet and whips him back into the corner.
The crowd begins to cheer as Fly and Lerch lock eyes, prompting a smile from ‘The Dynasty.’ He thunders across the ring, connecting with a stiff back elbow to the throat of Seth Lerch. Instead of letting Seth out of the corner, Fly fires him across the ring again, sending him face first into the turnbuckle. Lerch’s skull bounces off the steel and he falls to the mat.
Shannan Lerch: This one is starting to get really ugly, folks.
Zach Davis: Seth just isn’t able to put up any fight whatsoever. He’s getting thrown around the ring like a football.
Shannan Lerch: …and Fly doesn’t give a damn.
Fly casually ducks under the top rope and hops down to ringside. He walks over to the timekeeper and grabs the chair out from under her. He tosses the chair over the ropes and slides back into the ring. With the chair on the ground, Fly walks over and picks up Seth Lerc. He walks Seth over to the chair and then lifts him up in an airplane spin toss, before destroying him with a cutter onto the steel chair.
Zach Davis: GOOD GOD. ROFLcopter! Seth’s own move, right on top of a steel chair.
Fly pops back up and again stares down at Lerch. The referee again leans over Seth to check and make sure he’s okay. Seth begins to roll around the ground and pushes the referee off signaling that he’s okay. Fly shakes his head in disbelief.
Shannan Lerch: This is only going to make Fly turn up the punishment.
Miraculously, Seth quickly rises back to his feet, grabbing onto the ropes for leverage. Fly waits for him to get all the way up and motions for Seth to come closer. Lerch runs at Fly, looking for a spear, but Fly moves out of the way in time and Seth slides to the mat empty-handed. He gets right back up, turns, and tries again, but a stiff punch to the skull stops him in his tracks. Fly picks Lerch up over his shoulders and sends him over the top rope. Fly immediately hops to the top of the turnbuckle and leaps off…
…Flash bulbs go off by the thousands…
…Fly glides through the air…
…Measuring Seth up for his trademark move…
Zach Davis: SU-IC-IDE DIVE BABY!
Shannan Lerch: I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone get that high. Lerch’s body just bounced off that padded mat. He HAS to have some broken ribs after that shot.
Fly pops right back to his feet as the crowd cheers him on.
Crowd: Jonny Fly! Jonny Fly! Jonny Fly!
Zach Davis: It’s just big move after big move for Jonny Fly, absolutely having his way with his…former?...employer.
Fly slides back into the ring and as soon he does “With Oden On Our Side” begins to play over the PA system.
Shannan Lerch: Odin Balfore!?
Fly’s attention is immediately turned to the stage but Balfore is already at ringside, and slides into the ring behind Fly. Fly hears it and turns but…too late.
Zach Davis: Balfore has Fly’s head in a vice!
Fly attempts to squirm out of the hold, but Balfore is too strong. With the hold still attached Balfore hits Fly with a sit-down powerbomb, jamming his cervical spine into his thorasic spine.
Shannan Lerch: BOOM! HUGGIN AND MUNNIN!
Zach Davis: JESUS CHRIST. FLY IS DOWN! BALFORE JUST DESTROYED HIM!
Satisfied with his work, Balfore drops out of the ring where Seth Lerch is still lying. Odin picks him up and rolls him into the ring commanding him to pin Fly before retreating up the ramp to the back. Seth crawls toward Fly, slowly, but finally sprawls his arm over Fly’s torso.
Shannan Lerch: Here we go! Seth with the cover!
NO! JONNY FLY KICKS OUT.
Zach Davis: Fly kicks out JUST in time! Holy shit was that close!
Shannan Lerch: Not that I’m complaining, because I’m still conflicted on who I want to win this match, but that count seemed pretty quick.
Zach Davis: It certainly did Shannan.
Seth has his hands over his head in disbelief that Fly managed to kick out. He collects himself and gets back to his feet and starts an all-out assault on the ribs of Fly with a barrage of stiff kicks and boots. Lerch stops and hops onto the turnbuckle, jumping off and connecting with a frog splash!
Shannan Lerch: Another cover attempt by Lerch!
Zach Davis: FLY KICKS OUT! …to another quick cover.
Shannan Lerch: Quite a turnaround here for Seth. The odds seem to be switching to his favor. He needs to take advantage though before Fly can recover.
Fly already has recovered. Seth picks him up looking to continue his assault, but as he goes to hit a suplex, Fly reverses it and sends Seth flying over top of his shoulders to the ground. Lerch scrambles to his feet but Fly has already turned and destroys him with a huge boot to the face.
Zach Davis: Just like that. That quick. Fly turns the momentum back in his favor.
Fly drops an elbow on Seth and then grabs him by the hair and tugs him back to his feet. Fly lifts Seth straight up in the air pausing for a few seconds before sending him violently back down to the mat to complete a vertical suplex. Fly reaches down to pick Lerch up again, but Seth quickly reaches into his pants and pulls out a…..
Shannan Lerch: TASER!
Zach Davis: Lerch just tasered Jonny Fly!
Fly shrieks in pain and steps backward, allowing Lerch the space to get to his feet. He approaches Fly with the taser out in front of him. Lunging, he sticks the taser into Fly’s ribs, sending another jolt of electricity through him. Fly falls all the way back to the ropes. He bounces himself off and attempts a splash on Lerch, but is tasered once more while in the air and falls to the ground in a heap. Lerch tucks away the taser and goes for the cover.
Zach Davis: Nope! Fly kicks out!
Shannan Lerch: It’s become quite evident that there are no boundaries for Seth Lerch in this match. I guess we knew that though.
Zach Davis: …and yet another quick count.
Lerch gets back to his feet and puts his hands on his hips, looking down at Fly.
Zach Davis: Seth obviously plotting what to do here next.
Lerch turns toward the stage.
Shannan Lerch: Is Seth…is Seth calling for someone to come out?
No sooner than the words are spoken, the lights go out. They stay off for about 15 seconds or so before "Change" by Deftones starts playing throughout the arena. Gravedigger immediately appears on the stage.
Zach Davis: …oh christ.
Shannan Lerch: After all his talk, it appears that Jonny Fly may be the one about to die.
Seth smiles widely as Gravedigger slowly makes the walk down to the ring. The crowd pelts him with jeers but Digger could care less. He slides into the ring just as Jonny Fly reaches a kneeling position. Upon seeing Gravedigger Fly gets up to his feet and the two superstars exchange a staredown. After nearly ten seconds, Fly jumps, running at Gravedigger full speed ahead…
Shannan Lerch: SETH TRIPPED FLY! Fly just went sprawling down to the mat, right in front of Gravedigger!
Zach Davis: That was actually pretty crafty by Seth, I have to say.
Gravedigger reaches down and grabs hold of Fly’s head and delivers a stiff punch to the face. Followed by another. Then another. Then another. Nonchalant, Gravedigger uses his boot to simply push Fly back down onto the mat. Digger orders Lerch to grab him a table from underneath the ring and Seth slides out in order to retrieve one. Lerch pulls out a table and slides it into the ring. Gravedigger and Lerch set it up as Fly slowly crawls to the ring corner. Gravedigger refocuses his attention on Fly. He grabs hold of Jonny and lifts him up before whipping him off the ropes. As Fly bounces off the ropes he’s destroyed by the ‘Grave Marker.’
Shannan Lerch: WOW. That was one hell of a clothesline. He almost took Fly’s head off.
Zach Davis: Gravedigger is just having his way with Fly right now. All Seth has to do is sit back and watch.
Gravedigger picks Fly right back up and brings him over to the table. With just one sudden movement Digger jumps, grabs Fly’s head, and drives it through the table!
Shannan Lerch: SOUTH OF THE BORDER THROUGH THE TABLE!
Zach Davis: Gravedigger has just absolutely destroyed Jonny Fly. I’m speechless. We’ve never seen Fly just beat_to_hell like this right now.
Seth stands and claps his hands in delight as Gravedigger rises to his feet off of the broken table and possibly an even more broken Jonny Fly. Seth gladly drops down onto his knees for the cover.
Zach Davis: Goodnight, sweetheart, this party is over.
Shannan Lerch: WHAT!!
Zach Davis: FLY KICKS OUT! HE KICKED OUT IN TIME!
Just miliseconds before the referees hand hits the canvas for a third time, Fly shoots his shoulder off of table’s wreckage. Before Seth and Gravedigger can even respond, Latin chanting is heard over the PA system.
Shannan Lerch: We know who that is. It appears the cavalry has seen enough.
“I am Hell” by Machine Head symbolizes the entrance of only one man, Corey Black. Gravedigger and Lerch stare wide-eyed as Black appears on the stage with…
Zach Davis: It seems Corey Black has brought a ladder out with him.
Shannan Lerch: Uh, Zach, I don’t think that’s just any ladder.
Zach Davis: Is that…Oh god no! It’s been awhile but could that be….?
Black’s eyes appear glazed over and an almost sickening smirk is on his face. He stands motionless on the stage holding a black twenty-foot ladder with the name ‘Damien’ spray-painted on the side.
Shannan Lerch: I don’t think we’ve seen Damien since…2003?
Zach Davis: Corey Black’s name is synonymous in WCF lore with brutal ladder matches, and none are more brutal than ‘Damien.’ In the early days of his WCF career, that ladder defined him and helped build the legend of ‘Creeping Death’ Corey Black.
Black begins walking toward the ring with the ladder in hand. The crowd goes crazy and cheers of ‘BLACK! BLACK! BLACK!’ break out from the crowd as the Hall of Famer approaches ringside. Gravedigger walks toward the front of the ring and shouts a series of obscenities at Black, daring him to get into the ring. In response, Black throws the ladder at Gravedigger, giving him just enough time to slide into the ring and….
Shannan Lerch: BURNING. HAMMER. Gravedigger is out!
Black jumps right back to his feet and looks directly at Seth Lerch. Lerch backs away and holds out his hands in front of him nearly begging Black not to attack him. Black looks over toward Jonny Fly who is slowly, very slowly, trying to use the ropes to get back to his feet. Black nods his head, says nothing, and simply slides out of the ring pulling Gravedigger out with him and escorting him to the back.
Zach Davis: Well, Black restored order out here, but the damage has certainly been done. Fly can barely stand right now.
Shannan Lerch: Interestingly enough, Black also has left ‘Damien’ in the ring.
Seth turns his attention back to Fly, who is now on his feet but using the ropes to help balance himself. Lerch smiles at the sight and pulls back out the taser from his pants. He goes to shock Fly again, but Fly deflects it out of his hands. The taser goes flying out to ringside. Seth quickly counters by driving his knee into Fly’s midsection and taking him back down to the mat with a jumping DDT.
Seth gets back to his feet and continues his attack, afraid to take his foot off the gas for even one second against Fly. Lerch strikes Fly with a fist to the forehead, then another, then another. Once again he reaches into his pants and this time pulls out a pair of SPIKED brass knuckles.
Shannan Lerch: How many things can Seth hide in his pants?
Zach Davis: …
Shannan Lerch: I’m just saying he must have a lot of space for shit down there.
Zach Davis: …this got awkward real quick.
With the spiked knuckles attached, Lerch rears back and clubs Fly over the forehead breaking open his skin. As blood trickles down onto Fly’s nose, Seth bashes his head harder, repeatedly. Fly, in an act of desperation, rolls out the ring. He kneels onto the ground on the outside wiping blood from his eyes. Again, staying on the attack, Lerch springboards himself over the top rope and delivers a diving shot with the brass knuckles to the top of Fly’s head.
Shannan Lerch: Jesus god, Seth is destroying Fly. I don’t care who it is, you can’t take this type of punishment forever.
Zach Davis: I have to agree with you Shannan. Watching Fly right now it’s hard to imagine he has much left. He’s been beat not only by Seth Lerch and a variety of weapons, but by Gravedigger and Odin Balfore as well.
Sensing blood, Seth Lerch gathers Fly and walks him over toward the announcer’s table. The microphone’s catch Seth yelling out a boisterous ‘Fuck Jonny Fly!’ to crowd as they try to cheer on the Pantheon leader. With Fly in position Seth simply lifts Fly up over his shoulders and sends him through the announcer’s table with a crucifix powerbomb.
Zach Davis: OH. MY. GOD. Seth just….just….
Shannan Lerch: PIN HIM!
Seth obliges, and lifts Fly up from the wreckage of the table and slides him back into the ring for the cover.
NO. Fly kicks out!
Zach Davis: JONNY FLY KICKS OUT AGAIN!
Shannan Lerch: YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!
Zach Davis: Somehow, someway, Jonny Fly is still alive…both literally, and in this match itself.
Shannan Lerch: And just how are we going to commentate the rest of this match without our table?
Zach Davis: Forget that, did you notice that count wasn’t as fast as the ones previously? Perhaps the referee is feeling bad for Fly?
Zach Davis: I have no idea what is going on, but another fast count would have surely ended this match.
Seth gets to his feet and puts his finger into the chest of the referee, yelling for him to count “like he’s supposed to.” Just as Seth Lerch turns his attention back to Fly…he gets back to his feet.
Zach Davis: Fly is on his feet!
Wide-eyed and in disbelief, Lerch runs at Fly looking for a shoulder block, but Fly deftly moves out of the way. Seth bounces off of the ropes and as he comes back is leveled with a HUGE spinebuster. Fly gets right back to his feet and walks over to the turnbuckle and climbs to the top. Fly pauses at the top and stares out at the crowd, smirking.
Shannan Lerch: We all know what’s coming next.
As he glides through the air, for just one moment, all the pain in his body goes away.
He strikes Lerch in the heart with the full impact force of his skull.
Zach Davis: FLY SWATTER! FLY SWATTER! FLY SWATTER!
Shannan Lerch: …well, shit.
Fly immediately hooks the leg and positions all of his weight on top of Seth’s shoulders.
Zach Davis: WAIT! LOOK AT THIS!
Shannan Lerch: What the hell is HE doing out here?
Zach Davis: SPEEDE BUMP! ROY SPEEDE OUT OF NOWHERE WITH THE FROGSPLASH!
Roy Speede has appeared from out of the crowd and levels Fly with the ‘Speede Bump’ interrupting the count just as Fly is on the cusp of getting the three. Speede hops back to his feet and walks around the ring yelling out at the crowd, obviously pumped up.
Shannan Lerch: This is unbelievable. ROY SPEEDE just saved Seth Lerch!
Zach Davis: BUT WHY!?
Shannan Lerch: I have no idea, and neither does this crowd. They are dead silent right now. I mean Fly and Speede are rivals but…
Zach Davis: This is obviously just business for Speede. As a rival of Fly’s he clearly wants Seth to remain in charge.
Speede reaches down and collects Fly from the mat. With a quick snap he lifts Fly and crushes him with ‘The Silver Bullet!’
Shannan Lerch: THE SILVER BULLET!
With his work completed, Speede rolls out of the ring leaving Lerch alone. Once again Fly is laid out on the mat. Lerch rises back to his feet just in time to see Speede duck behind the curtain. He smiles, and immediately drops down for the cover.
Shannan Lerch: NO!
Zach Davis: KICKOUT! KICKOUT!
Shannan Lerch: AGAIN, Fly refuses to quit. This is unreal.
Zach Davis: Another ‘fair’ count from the referee, too.
Frustrated, Seth rolls to his feet and grabs ‘Damien,’ still lying on the mat where Corey Black left it.
Zach Davis: How ironic would be if Lerch uses Damien to finish off Fly?
Seth sets the ladder upwards in the corner, resting it on the turnbuckle. He walks back over to Fly and helps him to his feet. Seth goes to whip Fly into the ladder, but Fly reverses!
With all the force his broken body can muster, Fly violently whips Lerch face first into the ladder. The momentum even forces Fly down to the ground as Lerch drops aimlessly to the mat in front of him.
Shannan Lerch: Jonny Fly just won’t give up. I don’t know what else there is to say. He’s not ready to quit yet.
Fly slowly gets back to his feet. He takes a deep breath and wipes a bit of blood off of his forehead. He reaches down and grabs a hand full of Seth Lerch’s hair and uses the leverage to lift Seth to his feet. Fly places him in the corner against the ladder and takes two steps back, jumping, and hitting Lerch with a drop kick that drives his back into the ladder. As Lerch is jarred out of the corner Fly downs him with a swinging neckbreaker. Feeling the momentum now and with Seth lying on the mat, Fly springboards himself off of the bottom rope and hits a moonsault.
Zach Davis: Fly is back in control of this match. It seems like each time he gets something going though, he gets attacked. It’s clearly a well-coordinated assault organized by Lerch prior to this match. This is his plan, and it’s worked well up to this point.
Shannan Lerch: You have to wonder though, Zach, what else can Seth throw at Fly? He has to be running out of allies.
As if to counter Shannan’s statement, “You Know My Name” begins to play over the PA system. Gold lights start flashing as the music starts and ERIC PRICE steps onto the stage wielding a golf club.
Zach Davis: Uh-oh. Eric Price is in the house. This isn’t good news for Fly.
Shannan Lerch: …with a golf club! Fitting, because it’s mostly just rich snobs that play golf.
Eric Price smiles as Fly runs his head through his bloody and sweaty hair, nearly in disbelief as Price begins to walk down the ramp toward the stage. With nowhere to go, Fly just watches Price approach.
Zach Davis: Price is on record saying that if Fly wins this match, he would leave the company. Even with a World Title match on tap, he’s out here for one thing only; to help Seth win.
Price reaches ringside and uses the steel steps to elevate himself into the ring. Fly does nothing, allowing him to enter, wary of taking an attack with the golf club. Fly mouths a couple of words, prompting an arrogant smirk from Price. Price begins to pace the ring, circling Fly like a predator. With a flash Price jumps, using the golf club like a baseball bat and strikes Fly directly in the jaw with the club face. Fly drops like a rock.
Shannan Lerch: OH. MY. GOD. Fly just got destroyed. His jaw HAS to be broken.
Zach Davis: At this point in the match, more than his jaw has to be broken. He has to seriously be hurt right now, but he’s still battling. It’s all he knows how to do. His childhood was as an orphan and his teenager years were spent living on the New York City streets.
With Fly incapacitated, Price turns his attention to the referee. He swings the club again striking the referee over the head.
Shannan Lerch: Price just took out the referee! I guess Price wasn’t happy with the counts either!
Zach Davis: Fly has got to be regretting making this a no disqualification match. He has to be.
Price smiles at the sight of the referee crumbling to the ground. He turns toward Fly and drags him by the face over toward the ringpost. He wraps his legs around the post and locks Fly into a figure four leg lock around it.
Zach Davis: As if Fly wasn’t having enough problems walking around….
Without a referee to break the hold Price is free to continue it without and end in sight. The seconds tick by and the screams from Fly get louder and louder. 30 seconds pass.
Then a minute.
Fly’s screams subside as he appears to pass out from the pain.
Shannan Lerch: I don’t…I don’t even know what to say. You have to wonder where Pantheon is right now. Fly looks like he’s literally unconscious right now.
Zach Davis: Fly ordered them to stay out of this match. They’re listening, but…wow.
Satisfied, Price releases the hold and rises back to his feet. He slides out of the ring and goes fishing underneath it for a weapon. He reemerges with…
Shannan Lerch: Of course. Fly’s kryptonite.
Zach Davis: Eric Price has a kitchen sink! Shades of Jay Price putting Jonny Fly through a kitchen sink at XIII with the ‘Sunny No More!’
Price lifts the sink into the ring and slides in behind it. He immediately gets up and brings Jonny Fly to his feet. Fly clings to Price, unable to stand on his own. Price looks out at the crowd as they sense the end, and then strikes, driving Fly right through the sink with the Ca$h Flow!
Crowd: HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!
Zach Davis: Eric Price isn’t stopping there….oh my god…he has Fly back up!
Shannan Lerch: A SECOND CA$H FLOW ON THE SINK!
Price jumps back to his feet and spits down at the wrecked and broken body of Jonny Fly.
Zach Davis: WAIT! LOOK AT THIS! ITS JEFF PURSE!
Shannan Lerch: Our World Title match is about to start right now!
Purse runs down the ramp and slides into the ring. Price notices just in the nick of the time and escapes out to ringside and begins running back up the ramp. Jeff Purse isn’t about to let him get away, and chases after him toward the stage and into the backstage area.
Zach Davis: I seriously think Jeff Purse just saved Jonny Fly’s life.
Shannan Lerch: …and look at this, Seth Lerch is back on his feet.
Seth looks around, not exactly sure what has happened, but looking to take advantage of Fly’s condition nonetheless. Seth digs through the wreckage of the sink and lifts Fly back to his feet. Lerch pauses as Fly clings to his midsection…
Broken. Absolutely unequivocally broken.
Bloodied. His face nothing more a crimson mask.
Bruised. And about to take one last fall.
Zach Davis: Sayonara, Mr. Fly.
Lerch lifts Jonny Fly up in the air over his shoulders and brings him down to the mat with a crucifix powerbomb. Fly’s back bounces off the mat and then comes to rest. Lerch wakes the referee up and quickly hooks the leg.
Shannan Lerch: Not much more to say about this one.
The referee makes the count.
Zach Davis: There you have it ladies and gentlemen; SETH LERCH retains ownership of the WCF!
Shannan Lerch: Unbelievable! Seth has done it! HE’S DEFEATED JONNY FLY!
Zach Davis: Looks like you decided to root for Seth after all, Shannan.
Shannan Lerch: MY FAMILY IS STILL RICH!
The referee rises off the mat from the count and…wait…
Zach Davis: You have to be kidding me. There is no way. NO WAY.
As the referee stares down at Fly, he and the crowd notice the same thing. Fly’s right foot is lying on top of the bottom rope. The crowd EXPLODES with cheers!
Shannan Lerch: NO_FUCKING_WAY
Crowd: JONNY FLY! JONNY FLY! JONNY FLY!
Zach Davis: The referee just called for this match to continue! WE’RE NOT DONE HERE YET!
Lerch goes berserk. He stomps his feet yelling for everyone to hear and pacing around the ring. He grabs the referee by the shoulder and pushes him into the turnbuckle, threatening to fire him. As he goes back to pacing, Jonny Fly begins to stir.
Zach Davis: It’s hard to fathom how Fly keeps finding it within him to try to get up. We’ve seen some amazing performances in our day, but this isn’t one of those at all. Just pure stubbornness.
Fly’s movement draws the attention of Seth. Curiously, Seth approaches and watches as Fly crawls toward the ropes. He grasps the bottom rope and uses it to pull the rest of his body forward. He rises to a knee and turns…staring into the eyes of Seth Lerch. Seth just shakes his head, mouthing the words ‘just die already.’ Fly shakes his head ‘no,’ enraging Lerch. Seth runs, but Fly explodes quicker, spearing Lerch into the mat.
Shannan Lerch: Fly with a flurry of right hands!
Zach Davis: He’s back on his feet!
Fly quickly scoops up a piece of the sink that lies in pieces on the mat and proceeds to club Seth repeatedly over the skull with it. After five strikes Fly discards the sink piece and again, somehow, rises to his feet. Lerch is out cold on the mat. Fly stares to the far side of the ring where…Damien is positioned.
Shannan Lerch: Oh….shit.
Fly walks over and grabs hold of the ladder, setting it upright. Then, he begins to climb…
One step at a time.
All the way to the very top.
Zach Davis: Fly is standing tall at the top of Damien, staring twenty six and a half feet down at Seth Lerch!
Shannan Lerch: GET UP SETH! QUICK!
The crowd holds it breath as Fly leaps…
Flash bulbs go off by the thousands…
Time seems to stand still…
But Seth Lerch never moves.
Zach Davis: FLY SWATTER! FLY SWATTER! FROM THE TOP OF THE LADDER!
Shannan Lerch: I can’t watch this. I just…can’t.
Zach Davis: BIGGEST. FLY SWATTER. EVER!!!
Fly lies motionless off the mat, unable to hook the leg, but on top of Seth Lerch for the cover nonetheless.
Zach Davis: This HAS to be it!
Zach Davis: HOLY GOD DAMN JONNY FLY JUST WON! JONNY FLY IS OFFICIALLY THE OWNER OF THE WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP FEDERATION!
Shannan Lerch: …*sigh*…poor Seth. I just hope he’s alright.
The arena explodes in cheers for Fly…and the end of the ownership reign of Seth Lerch. After a few seconds Fly rolls off of Lerch, but remains on the canvas. The referee raises his arm in victory and Fly responds by, one last time, getting to back to his feet. As paramedics hit the ring to tend to Seth, Fly stares out at the cheering masses, the WCF fans…his fans. Refusing medical attention, Fly simply rolls out of the ring and begins the long walk toward the back.
Zach Davis: I guess Fly was right after all. It’s truly a new era of WCF. Seth Lerch is gone. Officially.
Shannan Lerch: He has yet to move, Zach. I’m truly worried.
Halfway up the ramp, Corey Black reemerges and grabs one of Fly’s arms and rests it over his shoulder, helping him toward the back. As they reach the stage, Fly and Black turn around just long enough to see Seth loaded onto a stretcher. Fly smiles, nods his head in approval, and then he and Black disappear behind the curtain.
Zach Davis: If this wasn’t enough, we still have two absolutely HUGE matches tonight. But first, we need to take a commercial break as medical officials tend to Seth Lerch.
"SO YOU WANNA BE A ROCK SUPERSTAR, LIVE LARGE?"
Massive booing from the crowd as the opening to Cypress Hill's "Rock Superstar" hits the PA System. They all go berserk throwing trash at the entryway as fireworks go off on the stage, the lights go out and smoke fills the top of the rampway.
Zach Davis: And it looks like Torture is taking us all on a history trip back to 2006. Man hearing this song brings back so many memories. And I hate them, Torture sucks.
Shannan Lerch: And listen to this crowd Zach. They're booing the shit out of Torture like the piece of shit that he is.
20 seconds later the smoke has cleared and a single spotlight is shining down on the center of the stage...but there's no sign of Torture. The crowd has begun to simmer down as the music fades out and the lights come back on.
Zach Davis: Uh, did someone hit the play button a bit early?
Suddenly the lights in the arena again drop.
The Philadelphia crowd explodes once again as "Nightmare" by Avenged Sevenfold hits the PA System. They keep it up as a lone spotlight lights up and focuses on the curtain as Jay Price emerges wearing a hooded sweatshirt, the hood pulled up over his head and covering most of his face.
Shannan Lerch: It seems Jay Price is already trying to get into the mind of Torture tonight and we haven't even started the match.
Zach Davis: Well it is what he does best Shannan. I seem to remember him dating a certain announcer just to get inside of Logan's head a few years back.
Shannan Lerch: I'm glad to hear you're finally talking about those days Zach. It's bad to keep those kind of things bottled in.
Zach Davis: I hate you.
Shannan Lerch: And I you Zach. But back to Price, notice anything different?
Zach Davis: Well no, he looks...wait a minute. Those tights look oddly familiar.
Price is indeed wearing a pair of black wrestling tights with a bright red "T" that goes up the right leg and the words "Non Hall Of Famer" on the left leg.
Shannan Lerch: Those tights of course mocking the tights Torture wore during his earlier years. I can only imagine how Torture is going to handle these mind games.
Zach Davis: I already had a feeling this match was going to turn into a trip to the ER. At first I couldn't decide who for, but now I'm thinking it might end up being both.
Price looks around at the crowd and then raises his arms up into the air as a spectacular pyro show goes off on the stage. As the smoke settles Price finally makes his way down the ramp, ignoring the outstretched hands of the fans. When he reaches the ring he rolls in under the ropes and then walks over to the corner where he takes a seat on the top turnbuckle.
Shannan Lerch: All joking aside I'm with you on that Zach. There is just so much hate and animosity between these two that I'm not expecting any part of this match to be pretty.
Price's music fades out and the lights come back on as the crowd readies themselves. "Crawl" by Kings Of Leon hits the speakers and the crowd marks out like only a WCF crowd can.
Zach Davis: And listen to this ovation!
Fireworks go off on the stage as the lights go to black and smoke fills the top of the rampway. Torture steps out from the curtain and stands in the middle of the stage. The smoke clears 20 seconds in and the crowd cheers even harder.
"TOR-TURE SUCKS! TOR-TURE SUCKS! TOR-TURE SUCKS!"
Shannan Lerch: Whether they hate him or love him, well let's be serious - even Torture's own family hates him. He's a shitty piece of feces, after all. And to describe a piece of feces as shitty, you have to be REALLY bad, right?
Torture walks down the ramp smiling yet focused and intent on beating his opponent. He slides into the ring as Price keeps his perch on the turnbuckle. Torture glances over at him and then walks to one of the ring posts and taunts to the crowd. He throws one hand into the air and his other hand points to the mat as if he's saying "This is still my ring." He backs down off of the ring post and the lights slowly come back on.
Zach Davis: All right folks, let's send it to Kyle Steel for the introductions.
Inside of the ring Kyle Steel is waiting with a microphone. Torture has stepped to the center of the ring while Price is still sitting on the top turnbuckle, looking more interested in arguing with a pair of smarky fans. Steel motions for him to come out of the corner but Price just waves him off. Steel waves him over with a bit more urgency and Price responds with a middle finger. Steel goes to say something but Torture grabs his shoulder and says something to calm him down. Steel nods and raises his microphone.
Kyle Steel: The following match is scheduled for one fall and it is your co-main event!
Huge pop from the crowd as a few "Dub Cee Eff" chants break out.
Kyle Steel: Introducing first, to my left....standing at six feet five inches and weighing in tonight at two hundred and fifty one pounds...from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania....he is the South Street Nightmare....Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Price!
Price barely acknowledges the pop from the crowd as he simply nods his head, his focus on Torture.
Kyle Steel: And to my right....standing at six feet five inches and weighing in tonight at two hundred and forty seven pounds...from Los Angeles California....he is a former three time WCF Heavyweight Champion of the World....he is Torrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrture!
Torture raises his arms above his head as the crowd literally throws CGI pieces of poop at him. Price takes a look around at the crowd, smirking at the reaction. He hops down out of the corner and pulls off his sweatshirt before tossing it into the crowd. Price now walking out to the center of the ring, getting nose to nose with Torture as Kyle Steel backs away. Referee Zip Windinger steps up to both men and tries to get a bit of space between them.
Zach Davis: You could cut the tension in that ring with a knife. These two go back over three years and the bad blood between them has lasted just as long.
Shannan Lerch: It's hard to believe that at one point these two were actually on the same page at one point. We all remember the Team Of Torture and This_Is_WAR. These two seemed like close friends.
Zach Davis: It was all a farce Shannan. We've heard it from Price himself. He believes that all along the only reason he was accepted by Torture in the beginning was so that he didn't have to face Price himself.
Shannan Lerch: Of course Torture sees it a different way. Numerous times he's said that Price was never in his league and that's why he never accepted one of Price's many challenges for a match.
Zach Davis: Well the time has come for these two to finally due battle. It's time for either Price to prove that he was right about being the competition that Torture was avoiding, or for Torture to prove that Price was never and still isn't at his level.
Referee Windinger finally gets himself wedged between Torture and Price and directs them to their respective corners. Windinger now conducting a pre-match weapons check on Price. Finding nothing he checks Torture and also finds nothing. Windinger checks with both men and then signals for the bell.
[DING! DING! DING!]
The rambunctious crowd quickly quiets down to a whisper as they wait with anticipation for one of the men to make the first move. Price is the first to come out of the corner as he walks out to the center of the ring. He puts his hands up into the air and it looks like he's daring Torture to start things off with a test of strength. Torture, not even the least bit looking like he trusts Price, slowly moves to the center of the ring. Price's hands are still up as he's telling Torture to come on. Torture finally decide to comply with Price's request and raises his hands up. Price however with the cheap shot as he delivers a slap across the right cheek of Torture. The crowd doesn't at all approve of that and they let Price know it. Price of course responds with a middle finger.
Zach Davis: And Price showing his hometown crowd just what he thinks about them booing him. Stay classy Jay Price, stay classy.
With Price flipping off the crowd, Torture has time to recover and he delivers a slap of his own across the face of Price. Price shakes it off and then unloads with a left punch to the head. Torture responds with a right. Price with a left. Torture with a left. Price with a right. Torture with a left. Both men trading shots back and forth as the crowd starts to grow hot again.
Crowd: THESE GUYS SUCK! THESE GUYS SUCK! THESE GUYS SUCK!
The exchange of punches is only ended after Price is backed into the ropes and he grabs hold of the top one. Torture starts to step forward when the referee gets in front of him and tells him to step back. Price yells for the referee to keep him back as he takes his time in letting go of the ropes. Torture now standing in the center of the ring, eyes on Price, as he gestures that he wants to tie-up. Price asks him if he's serious and then nods his head. He goes to step forward when suddenly Machine Head's "I am Hell (Sonata in C#) hits the speakers. Both men look toward the entrance ramp with great interest as Corey Black walks out from the back and heads down the ramp.
Zach Davis: And an already combustible situation just got a barrel of gasoline dumped on it.
Shannan Lerch: Corey Black. The man that Torture has long considered to be one of his best friends. The man that Jay Price looks at as being a fellow member of Pantheon. Where does he stand on this match?
Zach Davis: The last time we saw Corey in the ring with these two he was trying desperately to keep them from killing each other.
Torture and Price both look at each other at the same time and begin accusing the other of asking for him to come down. Black pauses at ringside to watch the two argue and then walks over to the announce table where he takes a seat beside Zach. Shannan looks over at Black and grimaces.
Shannan Lerch: Welcome Corey, I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Corey Black: I hate you, Shannan.
Torture now walking over to the ropes where he yells to Black, trying to figure out what he's doing out here. Price, seeing the opportunity in front of him, quickly rolls him up from behind. The referee with the count.
No, Torture quickly kicks out and then rolls out of the ring. Price goes to follow him but the referee cuts him off and demands he stay in the ring. As the referee begins his count, Torture again looking over to the announce table.
Corey Black: These guys need to focus on each other.
The referee is about to reach three when Price pushes past him and exits the ring. As he walks around to where Torture is, Torture is just starting to climb back into the ring. Price grabs him and pulls him back down. Price with a chop across the chest before he grabs Torture's head and tries to slam it into the apron. Torture blocks it, hits Price with an elbow to the face and then slams him face first into the apron. Torture now rubbing Price's face back and forth on the apron as the referee yells for them to bring it back in the ring.
Torture now with a clubbing blow across the back of Price before he rolls him back into the ring. Torture now sliding into the ring where he hooks the leg.
Zach Davis: That cover almost seemed a bit lackadaisical. Almost as if Torture knew he wasn't going to get the win, but he wanted to put the idea in Price's head.
Shannan Lerch: Since when do you use five syllable words?
Zach Davis: Since you bought me that shitty thesaurus for Christmas. I mean really, you could have gotten me something from a gas station and it would have been better.
Torture back up to his feet and he allows Price to get up to his. Torture again gesturing that he wants to tie-up and this time Price complies. They fight for control and what a fight it is. They go back and forth with both men looking like they are about to control only for the other to fight back. Finally Price gets Torture into a wristlock but it happens to be right near the ropes and Torture easily grabs the top one. The referee tells Price to break the hold and then begins his count. He gets all the way to four before Price breaks the hold, but not before delivering an elbow to the wrist. The referee immediately gets into Price's face about him not listening. Price tells him to back off as he let go at four and the referee warns him.
Shannan Lerch: I know Price has all sorts of plans for what he wants to do to Torture in this match, but he's going to have to listen to the referee and keep his emotions in check or risk disqualification.
Torture shakes his wrist and then nods at Price, almost as if he's saying "All right, you want to be like that?". They tie-up once more and again it's Price taking control as he spins around and puts Torture in a rear waist lock. Price goes to quickly snap off a german suplex but Torture blocks it with his foot. Price tries a second time and again Torture blocks it before stomping down on Price's foot. Price releases the waist lock and Torture takes him down with a snapmare. Price on the mat and he rolls before springing right back up to his feet but Torture is right there with a forearm shot to the face. Torture with another one before he grabs the arm of Price and whips him into the nearby corner chest first. Price crashes and starts to stumble backward when Torture catches him in the back of the head with an elbow.
Zach Davis: Nothing pretty about those elbows and forearms to the head but are they ever effective.
Shannan Lerch: That looks oddly familiar, Mr. Black..
Corey Black: You're wrong. I'm literally here to make sure these guys keep it civil. There's a lot riding on this match.
Price trying to shake the cobwebs when Torture spins him around and then backs him into the corner. Torture now with a few lefts and rights to the head of Price as the referee starts his five count. He gets up to four and Torture steps away. The referee moves in to check on Price when Price suddenly explodes out of the corner, pushing the referee out of the way, tackling Torture to the mat. Price now with lefts and rights to the head. Torture finally is able to block some of the shots and he's able to roll Price off of him. Both men right back up to their feet and it's Price with an arm drag. Torture hits the man, rolls and is right back up. Price trying for another arm drag but Torture blocks it and nails him with a knee to the gut. Torture now with a back bodydrop and he tries for the pin attempt.
No, Price kicks out at one and a half. Torture taking his time getting back up to his feet as he looks to keep things at his pace. Price starts to get back up onto his feet and Torture cuts him off with a forearm across the back. Torture now pulling him back up by the head before he slaps on a sleeper hold.
Shannan Lerch: So far Torture has been able to keep this match the way he likes it. A slow and methodical pace, no real wasted energy.
Zach Davis: But at the same time you can't win a match with just forearms and sleeper holds. I mean, if this was 1953, then maybe you could.
Corey Black: It's all about throwing Jay off. He expected a fist fight, and he's getting a weardown.
The referee checks on Price, who waves him off. Price clawing at the hands and arms of Torture, trying to pry them off. Finally he gets a hand under the arms and starts to pull them off. Torture quickly lets go but catches Price in a rear waist lock before he can do anything and he snaps off a german suplex. Torture now grabbing the legs and he quickly tries for a jacknife pin attempt.
No, Price gets the shoulder up at the count of two. Torture lets go of his legs and tries to drop an elbow on his chest but Price rolls out of the way. Torture's elbow hits the mat and Price keeps rolling until he's out of the ring. Torture back up to his feet, rubbing his elbow as he waits for Price to get back in the ring. As the referee starts his ten count, Price looks to take his time and catch his bearings.
Torture now gesturing for Price to get back into the ring, yelling for him to bring it on. Price shakes his head and then pulls himself up onto the apron. As he goes to step into the ring, Torture moves forward. Price steps back out onto the apron and then tells the referee to keep him back. The referee does just that and Price again starts to enter the ring. Torture apparently doesn't like how long it's taking Price and he decides to help him in. Torture grabbing the head of Price and it looks like he's trying to pull him in for the Finishing Touch. Price grabs the ropes with his hand and begins trying to pull himself free. They continue the back and forth tug of war as the referee does his five count. By the time he reaches four Torture has to give up and back off, looking rather pissed off about not being to hit his move. Price immediately drops back down off the apron as he looks on concerned.
Zach Davis: Wow, that could have been it right there. If Torture could have hit the Finishing Touch this match would be over and he'd be on his way into the Hall Of Fame.
Shannan Lerch: That's right Zach. And with all the talk we've been doing about this match and the history between these two, we've yet to talk about what's on the line. Torture is in this match fighting for his place in the WCF Hall Of Fame. Seth has made it crystal clear for Torture: Win and your in. Lose and you'll never get another chance.
Zach Davis: You have to believe that Torture wants this win more than he's ever wanted a win in his career. We never heard him talk about the Hall Of Fame like he has as of late, but you can hear it in his voice how much he wants in. It'd be the icing on a career that was truly like no other.
Shannan Lerch: But as much as he wants in, you have to believe that Price wants to be known as the guy that kept Torture out of the Hall Of Fame. To be known as the only person to defeat both Logan and Torture, two of the all time greats of this business, on the grandest stage of them all. You put that on any wrestler's resume and you're talking about a guy on his way into the Hall himself.
Zach Davis: I couldn't agree with you more Shannan.
The referee has reached seven with his count and Price is still on the outside of the ring. Just as the referee is about to go for eight, Price climbs up onto the apron and quickly steps into the ring. Torture is right there, grabbing hold of the arm and trying for an irish whip into the ropes. Price however counters it and brings Torture in for a short arm clothesline. Torture hits the mat and tries to get back up but Price shoves him back down and hooks the leg.
No, Torture quick to kick out. Price however pushes him back down onto the mat and he begins firing off right hands to the face. The referee bypasses the normal count and he tries to pull Price off of Torture. He finally gets a bit of distance between the two and Price gets right into his face. The referee yells at him about the closed fists and Price tells him to shove it somewhere unpleasant. The referee takes offense to that comment and when Price goes to go past him, the referee grabs his arm and again gets in his face.
Zach Davis: This referee has lost it. I get he's upset with how Price is treating him but he can't just get involved like this.
Torture has made his way up to his feet and now he's watching Price from behind. The referee is yelling at Price to show him some respect and Price flips him off. Price now turning around and Torture runs right at him looking for a clothesline. Price ducks it and the referee eats it. The referee hits the mat like a sack of potatoes and both men look down at him.
Shannan Lerch: Holy crap! The referee might be out cold!
Corey Black: Ah shit...
Price shrugs his shoulders and then catches Torture with a cheap shot to the head. Torture responds with a right hand. They go right back to trading shots all over the ring as a referee has yet to appear. Eventually the two find themselves up against the ropes before they both spill over the top rope and out onto the ground. Both men still trading shots as they try to get up to their feet. Once they're both up, Torture catches Price with a knee to the gut. Price is doubled over and Torture grabs him before throwing him into the barricade. The referee is being checked on by ringside employees in the ring as Torture looks on. With a shrug of his shoulders, Torture pulls Price back up to his feet and then irish whips him toward the ring steps. Price hits them hard and flips head over heels onto the other side.
Shannan Lerch: This is going to get ugly if we don't get another referee down here to take control of this match. Honestly, where are all of the other referees? Did they decide to take a bathroom break as a group?
Zach Davis: Either that or someone backstage is telling them to wait.
Shannan Lerch: You don't think? Seth?
Zach Davis: When he made the match he said he wanted to take out two birds with one stone. Well, why not just let the birds take out each other without throwing the stone?
Corey Black: So much for civil.
The ringside employees have gotten the unconscious referee out of the ring and are helping him up the ramp. With no new referee in sight, Torture takes to pulling the top steps away from the ring. Price is just starting to get up as Torture picks the steps up above his head. Torture tries to drop them on Price's back but Price rolls off to the side at the last second. Price now with a right hand that catches Torture off guard. Price now with a drop toe hold and Torture catches the steps face first. Torture rolls off to the side clutching his nose as Price sits up against the barricade, grimacing as he holds his left knee. The crowd is obviously still torn as they begin to get loud again.
Crowd: THEY STILL SUCK! THEY STILL SUCK! THEY STILL SUCK!
Price shakes his head at the members of the Philly crowd rooting for Torture as he pushes himself up to his feet. He shakes off the pain in his left leg as he walks over to where Torture is still holding his nose. Price with a few stomps to the chest and then he looks toward the Spanish announce table.
Zach Davis: Price has got that look in his eyes. Bad things might be on the horizon.
Price walks over to the Spanish announce table and begins ripping out monitors. Corey Black looks on, an emotionless look on his face. Price clears off the rest of the crap on the table and then turns his attention back to Torture, who's been waiting for him. Torture now running full speed at Price and he tackles him into the table. Price immediately grabs his back as he yells out in pain.
Shannan Lerch: Price took his eyes off of Torture for way too long. You can't do that with a man like him or he will make you pay every time.
Torture pulls Price up to his feet and then pushes him up against the table. Torture now with a massive chop across the chest. And a second one. A third. Torture with three more and Price's chest is lit up. With Price dazed from the pain he's feeling in his chest and back, Torture picks him up and lays him on the table. The Spanish announcers drop their headsets and get the hell out of dodge as Torture joins Price on top of the table. Torture now pulling Price up to his feet as the crowd gets up out of their seats. Torture grabbing the head and he goes for the Tortures Device. Price has it scouted though and as Torture tries to spin him around, Price counters and gets loose. Torture is stunned as Price catches him with a knee to the gut. Price now going for The Downfall but Torture had that scouted. Torture blocks it and shoves Price away. Price stops himself from face planting off the table out of instinct and Torture grabs him again. Torture with the Tortures Device...AND HE HITS IT THROUGH THE TABLE! We get a ton of replays as the crowd loses it.
Crowd: "HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!"
Torture rolls away, obviously feeling just a bit of repercussion from the table collapsing. Price is out as he's in the middle of the rubble that was the table. Torture now looking toward the back and he's screaming for a referee to get out here. Torture heading over to Price and he begins dragging him by the feet toward the ring. Torture has to pick up Price's lifeless body and roll it into the ring. Torture again looking toward the back for any sign of a referee but there is none.
Zach Davis: Come on, we need a referee out here!
Finally a referee appears from the back, running full speed toward the ring.
Shannan Lerch: All right here comes a referee. Not that he has to run, this match is over. Price looks like he's dead.
He and Torture slide into the ring at the same time and Torture hooks the leg confidently.
Zach Davis: MOTHER OF GOD HOW DID PRICE GET HIS SHOULDER UP?
The crowd nearly blows the roof off the arena as Torture sits up and looks at the referee with disbelief. Torture quickly tries for a pin again.
NO! Again Price gets his shoulder up before the three count!
Shannan Lerch: I don't know if it's instinct or if it's just Price refusing to lose this match to Torture, but somehow he's still in this match. Somehow he found a way to kick out after that nasty Tortures Device through a table.
Torture again sitting up as he looks toward the referee. He begins arguing with the referee, holding up three fingers and screaming that he got a three count. The referee tries to tell him that Price got the shoulder up but Torture is refusing to believe it. Torture now up on his feet and he's getting right into the referee's face.
Zach Davis: Torture needs to keep his cool Shannan. I understand he's upset about not getting the pin there, but he needs to stay focused on putting Price away.
Shannan Lerch: And I'm sure Torture knows that. But the fact that he has so much on the line has to be putting a strain on his judgement.
As Torture is busy arguing, Price has begun to stir on the mat. Slowly he rolls himself over onto his stomach and begins to push himself up onto his hands and knees. Torture meanwhile is screaming at the referee to quit screwing him out of the Hall Of Fame. Torture turns around to...CATCH THE DOWNFALL FROM PRICE!
Zach Davis: DOWNFALL! PRICE HITS THE DOWNFALL!
Shannan Lerch: With what had to be his last spurt of energy Price launched himself up off the mat and drove Torture face first into the mat.
Price slowly gets Torture rolled over onto his back and then drops an arm across the chest before collapsing onto the mat.
Zach Davis: TORTURE GOT THE SHOULDER UP! THIS MATCH CONTINUES!
Replays show that Torture did indeed get his shoulder off the mat a mere millisecond before the three count. The crowd, who has yet to sit down since Price went through the table, has lost it.
Crowd: "THIS IS AWESOME!" "DUB CEE EFF!" "THIS IS AWESOME!" "DUB CEE EFF!"
The referee, looking like this is the absolute last thing he wants to do, begins the ten count.
Shannan Lerch: No. No, it can't end like this. For the love of god this match can't end this way.
Torture is the first of the two men to begin to move as he rolls onto his side and starts to push himself up.
As Price finally begins to move, Torture has crawled to the ropes and is trying to pull himself up.
Torture is up and screaming for Price to stay down.
Price is up onto his hands and knees and trying to push himself up to his feet.
Shannan Lerch: AND PRICE IS UP!
Corey Black: Someone's gotta give here.
The referee signals he did indeed beat the ten count and Torture loses it as he screams out in frustration. Price, who's staggering like he's out on his feet, smirks and flips off Torture.
Zach Davis: I don't know if he' crazy or if he's stupid, but Jay Price is showing that he is one tough son of a gun.
The referee checks on Price to see if he's good to keep going and Price tells him to get out of the way. Price now motioning for Torture to tie-up and Torture obliges. They fight for control briefly before Torture backs Price into the corner. Torture with a series of kicks to the midsection before he climbs up onto the second turnbuckle. Torture now with a series of punches to the head as the crowd counts along.
Crowd: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE! TEN!
Torture finally listens to the referee's orders and hops down out of the corner. Price is still propped up in the corner, a gash now over his right eye. Blood is dripping down his face and onto the mat as Torture admires his handywork. Torture now stepping forward and he grabs Price by the back of the head before hitting him with a forearm to the face. And another one. The referee finally gets Torture back again as the cut is now bigger and dripping even more blood. The referee is warning Torture about keeping back but Torture ignores him and pushes past. Price from out of nowhere catches him with a thumb to the eyes and then pushes him into the corner. Price now with lefts and rights to the face as the referee again does a five count. Price barely avoids the disqualification as he steps back. Torture is dazed and there's a bit of blood coming out of his nose. Price sees the blood and that's all he needs to want to continue. Price now driving an elbow into the nose and then he drags it back and forth a few times until there's a steady stream of blood coming from Torture's nose. The referee again reaches four and Price steps back.
Zach Davis: Well we were all sure that there was going to be bloodshed in this match. I'm a bit surprised that it took this long.
Shannan Lerch: Same here Zach. This match has been just physically brutal for both of these guys.
Torture still in the corner as Price steps forward and tries to grab him. But Torture counters and hits Price with a headbutt to the cut above his eye. Price grabs his head and Torture pushes him back into the corner. Torture now lifting Price up onto the top turnbuckle before climbing up onto the second rope.
Zach Davis: What could Torture be thinking here?
Shannan Lerch: It's got to be something big. Everything he's tried up to now hasn't been able to keep Price down.
Torture now climbing up onto the top rope with Price and both men are teetering dangerously. Torture grabs Price and it looks like he's trying for a Copani Driver from the top rope. But Price is doing his best to fight back as he hits a jab to the gut. Another jab and Torture is forced to let go. Torture now with a punch to the head as both men try their best to keep their balance. Price now with a shot. Torture responds. They are now trading shots as the referee looks on worried. Torture stumbles a bit trying to throw a right and Price blocks it. Price with a big left and Torture teeters a moment before falling back onto the mat hard.
Zach Davis: This could be the turning point of the match for Price. He needs to capitalize on this now.
With Torture down on the mat Price looks around at the crowd before turning around. With a middle finger to those in attendance, Price leaps off the top rope with the WTF Maneuver...BUT TORTURE GETS HIS KNEES UP! Price crashes hard onto Torture's knees and rolls off clutching his chest. Torture scrambles to get up to his feet and he pulls Price up. Torture grabbing the head and he hits the Tortures Device!
Shannan Lerch: This has to be it!
Torture with the pin attempt.
No! Price kicks out at One! He pops up like a motherfucker and hits a Downfall on Torture. The footage loops three times and then Price pins Torture.
Zach Davis: JASON PRICE HAS DONE IT! HE FUCKED TORTURE OUT OF THE HALL OF FAME, HE FUCKED HIM GOOD!
Jason Price leaves the ring quickly. "Crawl" by Kings of Leon hits the speakers as the crowd boos.
Crowd: YOU DON'T GOT IT! YOU DON'T GOT IT!
The referee has to help the exhausted Torture to his feet before he raises his arm in victory. Once he sees Torture can stay up on his own, the referee kicks Torture in the balls just for fun.
Shannan Lerch: All I can say is that I hope one day, instead of doing CGI results, Seth can just erase these two fuckers from history once and for all. I don't give a shit about Torture or Jayson Price's 100th victory or any of that. I enjoyed getting a payday for my first appearance in WCF in forever but seriously....
We go to a promo for the main even.
Zach Davis: After a wild night, we finally arrive at our final destination...the main event!
Shannan Lerch: The WCF World Heavyweight Championship on the line in the midst of what has been one of the most bitter rivalries in WCF throughout 2012. Now it all comes to an end here at the beginning of 2013. Or so we hope...
Zach Davis: Eric Price and Jeff Purse began this collision course back in August when they met in the ring at Slam for the Television Championship, which was then held by Jeff Purse. In the end, Eric Price would walk away as the new Television Champion and things have never settled between the two since then.
Shannan Lerch: It was at Revenge when Purse would get his rematch. And the outcome of that match set into motion the bitter direction this rivalry would take. The following week on Slam, Eric Price would not only force himself on Kari Kendall for a kiss, but he proceeded to assault both her, and Jeff Purse. It seemed as though he'd taken them both out of WCF for good.
Zach Davis: It wasn't until several weeks later that Jeff Purse made his return to Slam, seeking retribution against Eric Price. Purse would go on to lay quite the beating upon his adversary. And things did not stop there! At WAR, of all things, that mammoth match would see both Eric Price and Jeff Purse as its final two contenders. With the WCF World Championship surprisingly made the prize earlier that night. Jeff Purse would go on to win WAR and that did not sit well with one, Eric Price.
Shannan Lerch: It certainly did not. For several weeks, Eric made it very clear that he felt he should have walked out of WAR as the world champion. And if he didn't get Jeff Purse's attention about it then, he certainly did at Helloween.
Zach Davis: With Eric Price being granted the privilege of being the guest referee for the Hellimination match, he used his granted powers to deliver what can only be described as the fastest three count in WCF History as he eagerly counted Jeff Purse out of the match.
Shannan Lerch: After nailing him with a Ca$h Flow.
Zach Davis: I was getting to that. Eric Price put the exclamation point on things by assaulting Purse and counting him out from the match. Through the course of things however, Price managed to get the attention of another WCF Star.
Shannan Lerch: Sarah Twilight.
Zach Davis: In the weeks following Hellimination, Eric would re-enact his infamous kiss with Kari Kendall in a fit of rage against Twilight...though much like his assault of Kari, the outcome didn't turn out as planned. Being as in response, Sarah got herself appointed as the special referee for this very match here tonight!
Shannan Lerch: After months of words. Weeks of bitter hatred, Now we end up where we are. This is it. One. Jeff Purse, Eric Price...World Championship at stake!
Zach Davis: Let's take it down to Kyle Steel who is standing by to get this kicked off!
Kyle Steel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall....and it is for the WCF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
HUGE ERUPTION of cheers from the crowd.
"The Only One" by Evanescence hits as Sarah Twilight makes her way down the ramp. She is wearing an official WCF Referee's jersey that is tied off at the naval, exposing the gauze and bandages covering the wound on her abdomen. She is still just wearing a pair blue jeans as she makes her way out. Her elbow and forearm is taped up, bandages on her forehead. Her knee with an ace bandage and she walks with a slight limp after the brutal contest she competed in earlier.
Kyle Steel: Ladies and gentlemen, introducing at this time...the special guest referee for this contest SARAH TWILIGHT!
"You Know My Name" - by Chris Cornell hit the arena and the crowd begins to boo like crazy.
Kyle Steel: And now....introducing first, the challenger...hailing from the Pacific Palisades, California and weighing in at 250 pounds....he is ERIC PRICE!!!!
Gold lights start flashing as the music starts and as soon as Eric Price walks out, a gold spotlight shines down on him as he makes his way to the ring with a slow and determined walk with a smirk on his face as he walks down the entrance ramp and simply looks down on the audience. He steps in the ring using the steps and walks into the ring, scowling at the guest referee for the evening as he stands in the center of the ring looking around at the audience with disdain and a grin on his face.
Kyle Steel: And his opponent....
"Won't Back Down" by Eminem blares on the PA. The bike ramps not in place though, people wondering where Jeff is.
Kyle Steel: From Venice Beach, California...weighing in at 215 pounds...he is the current reigning and defending WCF World Heavyweight Champion....'The Future' JEFF PURSE!!!!
"You can sound the alarm
A pyro goes off and up through the stage in Rey Mysterio fashion, Jeff Purse comes flying, belt on his shoulder. Kari comes out from the back as Jeff walks down the aisles, pandering to the crowd. Slapping fives, signing autographs quickly, making his fans happy.
"Cadillac Sevilles, Coupe Devilles
Upon entering the ring, he throws his hands up in the middle of the ring, corner pyros of red and green shoot out. He takes off his aviator sunglasses and throws them in the audience, and Kari takes his belt. He turns and sits up on the turnbuckle, before turning to glare at Eric Price.
Zach Davis: Here we are. The time for talking is through. I am excited!
Sarah collects the WCF Title and shows it to the challenger, Eric Price before holding it high in the air for the crowd to see. She then hands it to the time keeper at ringside and calls for the bell. Jeff Purse wastes absolutely no time at all as he tackles Eric to the canvas and starts wailing on him with a barrage of fists. Price covers up as best he can and the fists just keep coming. Purse is yelling furiously at Price as he just keeps walloping him. Finally, he pauses for just a moment and that was all Eric needed as he quickly sends his fingers up, jabbing Purse in the eyes.
Zach Davis: Tensions are at a boiling point and this one has already exploded! Some leniency being offered here by Twilight as she seems to be content to just let these two go at it.
Shannan Lerch: The boundaries are going to be pushed for sure.
Eric wipes his face after the barrage of punches and starts back up. He smirks heavily and nods a bit, knowing he's gotten Purse worked up. Jeff heads right back after Price but gets caught with a boot to the midsection. Eric follows it up with a running kneelift to the face. Purse is down and Price stays on him, dropping another knee into Jeff's face. He reaches down, hauling Jeff back to his feet. However, Purse pushes Eric's arms off and catches him unexpectedly with a swinging neckbreaker.
Zach Davis: Purse back to his feet shaking off the effects. Eric Price came here to fight, and so did Jeff Purse.
Shannan Lerch: I don't think you could find two individuals that hate each other more. This is something people have been waiting to see for a long time.
Purse recomposes himself as Eric finds his way to back his feet. As he does, he stumbles around into a spinning heel kick courtesy of Purse. Now, Jeff is on fire and he sits in wait for Eric to get to his feet again. Jeff using the ropes as a catapult and springboard clothesline that sends Price down once again. Price is rattled and Jeff is still measuring him for further assault. As Eric pulls himself back up once again, Purse clutches him for a belly to belly suplex. However, Price blocks the attempt and hammers both sides of Purse's face with open palms to force his way free. Jeff backs off and Eric grabs hold of him, sending him down HARD with a legsweep DDT. He goes for the cover immediately.
Zach Davis: First pinfall of the match. We're about to find out if Sarah Twilight's officiating is anything like how Eric Price handled Hellimination.
Shannan Lerch: She's going to screw him over. There's no question.
Sarah slides into position, checking that Purse's shoulders are down and starts the count.
Purse kicks out after just two. Eric jumps up off of the pinfall attempt and starts screaming and yelling that Sarah counted very slow. She remains firm on her count and orders him to focus on the match.
Zach Davis: That was a fair count. Can't expect that it would have been over this early. Though Eric Price obviously not happy with the count.
Shannan Lerch: That's just it, it IS still early. Let's see how those counts look when something big happens.
Eric continues to seethe over the two count and he does turn his attention back to Jeff Purse finally, who pulls him down into a small package pinfall combination. Sarah again into position, checking Price's shoulders this time.
Price kicks out of the attempt.
Zach Davis: Another fall there. No difference in the count for Purse.
Shannan Lerch: Hmph. I would have bet money that first fall Purse attempted she'd be counting three like no tomorrow.
Zach Davis: Unlike Eric Price, she has some integrity.
Both men scramble back to their feet. Eric is first on the draw as he sends Purse down with a hard short-arm clothesline. Eric waves Purse on, eager for him to get back to his feet. Jeff makes his way back up and Price hooks him up, setting him for the Reversal of Fortune! But Jeff pushes off and sends Eric into the ropes. Eric on the return with a high cross body that connects, taking Purse down. Price rolls to one knee and Purse also rolls out to make it to his feet. Price rushes in, grabbing Jeff for a backbreaker. Purse is down, and Eric pulls himself up. Now, using the ropes for leverage, he places his boot across Jeff's throat, trying to choke the life out of him. Sarah moves in and admonishes him. Price ignores her and continues choking Purse. Sarah administers a five count.
Price breaks the blatant choke just before five. He glares at Sarah for forcing him to obey the rules. He then proceeds to stomp down on the world champion with vicious boots to the chest and abdomen.
Zach Davis: Eric Price risking disqualification with that choke. I don't think it's wise for him to try and push it with Sarah as the referee.
Shannan Lerch: Oh you'd love that wouldn't you? Just have her disqualify him like that.
Zach Davis: I'm just saying, if he doesn't obey the rules he'll cost himself the match. What is with you?
Price lays in a few more stomps before momentarily turning his attention to Kari Kendall, who is at ringside. He blows her a kiss very sarcastically and grins with a smug attitude. Purse uses this moment to get back to his feet and he dives at Eric with a double leg takedown, swinging fists once again at his nemesis. Jeff continues the waylay for a few moments before finally stopping the barrage. He grabs Price by the hair and pulls him up to his feet, only to take him over with a snap suplex.
Zach Davis: Price taking a moment to taunt Kari at ringside, and it just cost him. The tide back in the favor of our world champion.
Shannan Lerch: Do you not have anything pleasant to say about Eric? It's always Jeff, Jeff, Jeff!
Zach Davis: Shannan, seriously...what the hell is wrong with you tonight?
Purse measures Price again and as the challenger makes his way back to his feet, Purse hops up for a hurricarrana. However it is countered by Price who drops him with a DEVASTATING powerbomb right in the center of the ring! Eric hooks the leg for the cover. Sarah slides into position and checks the shoulders.
NO! Purse manages to shoot a shoulder up just in time. Eric Price is livid.
Zach Davis: What a close call! Eric Price a millisecond away from being crowned our new world champion!
Shannan Lerch: If Twilight were counting correctly instead of slow counting, this match would be over.
Zach Davis: Ok, that's it. Is Eric Price paying you to say all this crap?
Shannan Lerch: Who told you that? I mean...what? No! Of course not.
Zach Davis: I figured as much. Just call the match, Shannan.
Eric is again arguing with Sarah, claiming the count was slow. She once again informs him the count was only two. Price is still furious and he paces around, demanding that it was three. His rant gets him nowhere and he turns his attention back to Jeff Purse. Eric hauls Jeff to his feet only to be caught suddenly with a standing dropkick that sends Price tumbling down to the canvas, buying Jeff precious moments to recuperate from the powerbomb. Eric scrambles back to his feet after the dropkick and Jeff is there to meet him with a step-up enziguri that further rattles the challenger and places him back on the mat. Purse is still a bit dazed himself and continues to use this time to gather himself together. Price staggers up using the ropes for balance and Purse seizes his opportunity as he rushes Price. However, Price pulls down the top rope at the last second and Purse's momentum carries him over, though he manages to catch himself and lands on the apron.
Purse struggles to steady himself after the near spill and Price grabs hold of him for a suplex back into the ring. However, Jeff avoids any such fate by sending a kick straight up, catching Eric in the head and back him off. Purse regains his balance and readies himself for a springboard, though Eric turns right back around and charges Purse with a shoulder block through the middle rope. Purse is pushed back off the apron and sent barreling into the guardrail head first!
Zach Davis: Things are not looking good for Jeff Purse right now! This might be the opportunity that Eric Price needs.
Shannan Lerch: Damn, he might have knocked him out!
Eric slides under the bottom rope to the outside, where Purse is down at ringside. He forces the champion to his feet before sending him face first into the ring post. Purse slumps down against the steel, dazed. Eric has ill intent in his eyes as he backs up, lining up his foe for a face wash against the steel! However, Kari Kendall places herself in between Eric and Jeff, trying to shield Purse from the impending kick. Eric, seems ready to go right THROUGH Kari.
Zach Davis: Oh this isn't good. Kari, get out of there. He has no qualms with hitting you.
Shannan Lerch: She's asking for it!
Zach Davis: Oh would you stop! I think you've earned your paycheck rooting for Price.
Eric waltzes forward, grabbing a handful of Kari's hair as he plans to forceably remove her from blocking his way. But instead she sends a slap across his face and the crowd goes WILD! Eric is SEETHING now, and he is ready to dismantle Kari Kendall, however, Sarah hops down from the ring and gets in the middle of the situation.
Shannan Lerch: Oh come on! Bias! I call bias!
Zach Davis: Oh give me a break! Let her handle it.
After a few words, it is clear that Sarah is ordering Kari away from ringside. Kari isn't happy about it, and tries to plead her case. Meanwhile, Eric Price is simply elated that Sarah's attention is elsewhere as he removes a table from underneath the ring. He unfolds it and sets it up right over the steel ring steps on the other side of the ring. Price also looks for something else during this time. Kari finally obliges the order from Sarah and starts making her way up the ramp. Sarah watches her for a moment to make sure she leaves the area.
Shannan Lerch: Well finally she does something right.
Zach Davis: She has called this match as fairly as possible. Kari Kendall put herself in harm's way and got involved in the match. Purse could have simply been disqualified.
Shannan Lerch: And Eric would have won!
Zach Davis: The match sure, the championship...no.
Shannan Lerch: Damn that's right.
Sarah turns her attention back to the action just in time to see Eric Price with a steel chair in his hand ready to swing it down upon Jeff Purse. She grabs hold of the chair and yanks it away from him. This draws much protest from Price. Sarah discards the chair and again warns Price about his actions. Price continues to rant even as he turns his attention back to Purse who catches Eric unexpectedly with a stiff shot to the jaw. Purse unloads shot after shot, sending Eric reeling before he rolls him back under the rope into the ring. Eric stumbles back to his feet as Purse hops up onto the apron. Springboard and he NAILS his patented 720 DDT.
Zach Davis: The Future!
Shannan Lerch: No! This is unfair!
Eric is PLANTED into the canvas as Purse rolls over for the cover. Sarah quickly slides back into the ring and checks the shoulder before making the count.
NO! Eric JUST manages to get a shoulder up before Sarah's hand comes down for the third time. Jeff sits up in SHOCK as he looks questioningly at Sarah, who confirms that, unfortunately the count was only two.
Zach Davis: That was about as close as I've ever seen! Eric Price BARELY escaped that one. Wow!
Shannan Lerch: I am honestly shocked that she didn't just fast count him. But damn, that WAS close!
Jeff is still in almost disbelief. But he doesn't argue the count. He nods and accepts the count of two. He sits up, wiping his face for a moment before preparing to continue the task at hand. Jeff pulls Eric back to his feet and is suddenly pushes back against the turnbuckle by the challenger with a driven shoulder. Eric seems to break from the corner cleanly as Sarah is there to make sure they do. He holds his hands up for the clean break before sending a HARD open hand slap across Jeff's face!
Zach Davis: Still insulting our world champion with that hard slap! That isn't going to sit well with Jeff Purse.
Shannan Lerch: Look at him, he looks like a madman!
Purse's face reddens with anger as he lunges out of the corner with a spear at Price, who sidesteps. Purse connects with Sarah Twilight. His shoulder catching her right in the abdomen which had been bandaged up from earlier. Sarah goes down, holding her gut as she rolls to the outside. Purse stops immediately, realizing what he'd just done by mistake. He looks out at ringside to make sure everything is ok. This is when Eric seizes his opportunity and sends a low blow right up between Purse's legs. The champion doubles over and Price capitalizes, sending him HARD into the turnbuckle.
Zach Davis: We have no referee! This is not good for Jeff Purse at all.
Shannan Lerch: Yeah but Eric can't win the title without Sarah being there to count. Though I am still not convinced she would count anyway.
Price hoists Purse up onto the turnbuckle now, seating him on the top rope. Outside, below them is the table that Eric had carefully set up over the steel ringsteps. Price himself now climbs to the second rope.
Zach Davis: Oh my God no! He's not seriously thinking about doing this?!
Shannan Lerch: Oh that's what he's thinking. This is going to be bad....very bad!
Eric wraps his arms around Jeff's waist gutwrench style, preparing to powerbomb the world champion through the table and into the ringsteps. Purse fires off some offense, catching Price on the bridge of the nose with a headbutt. Price wobbles a bit but catches himself, remaining on the ropes. The two start firing off hard right hands at each other, both trying to gain the advantage. Purse tries to hook Price for a suplex now. but Price responds with some hard rib shots. Purse stands up on the top rope, Price also on the top rope now. Both men teetering on wobbly legs. Purse again tries for a suplex, but Price tries to keep himself from being taken over and BOTH men lose their balance and fall to the outside CRASHING through the table and SMACKING into the steel steps hidden beneath them. The splintering sound of wood breaking is immediately following by a sickening THUD.
Crowd: Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!
Zach Davis: They both just went through that table and into the steps! My GOD!
Shannan Lerch: Neither one of them look like they're moving either.
Both men lay there among broken pieces of wood, mangled trim and the steel steps that have shifted apart upon the impact of the two. Neither man is moving at all. Sarah is still down on the other side of the ring. The crowd looks toward the entrance ramp as another official, Gregory Durnham runs out from the back and slides into the ring.
Zach Davis: We have another referee out here and...I don't know what the hell is going on.
Shannan Lerch: Both of them are out of it. What does he expect to do?
Durnham checks on the two men and gets little response. He makes his way back up into the ring and begins to count both men out.
Eric and Jeff begin to stir, crawling away from the debris, but very slowly. Both men aching and trying to make it back into the ring. Eric removes some broken pieces of wood from his way carefully. Jeff struggles to push the steps away from himself so he can get out of the mess.
Eric reaches up, grabbing the apron, trying to pull himself into the ring. Jeff does the same on the other side of the steps. Meanwhile, Sarah is making it back to her feet, unaware of what is going on.
Neither man makes it into the ring in time. The crowd is booing like mad.
Zach Davis: What the hell?
Shannan Lerch: I think...they've both just been counted out?
Durnham calls for the bell.
Kyle Steel: Ladies and Gentlemen...both participants in this match have been counted out. As a result this match is a DRAW! However, the World Championship may only change hands via pinfall or submission...
Steel pauses finishing the announcement as Sarah makes her way back into the ring and is having some words with Durnham. Meanwhile, Eric Price has a look of complete shock on his face hearing that the match had ended in a double count out.
Zach Davis: Is the match over? I don't get it.
Shannan Lerch: Well Twilight was the official for the match. I think we're getting that now.
Sarah shakes her head at Durnham and waves him off. He shrugs and heads out from the ring. She calls Kyle over to the side of the ring. After a few moments he nods his head and returns to his place near the time keeper to make the announcement.
Kyle Steel: I have just been informed that this match....WILL CONTINUE!!!
The crowd erupts once again as Price and Purse now make their way gingerly back into the ring.
Zach Davis: That was a good call by Twilight. Ending this match on a double count out was simply not the right thing to do. Durnham should have known better. You have to give some leniency in a championship defense.
Shannan Lerch: This is insane! Twilight could have just screwed Eric Price by allowing Durnham's decision to stand. I cannot believe this match is going to continue!
Zach Davis: I think it is safe to say there will be no excuses on either side when this thing is said and done.
Sarah calls for the bell...again and the match starts once more.
Price wastes no time as he takes Purse for a HARD Irish whip into the turnbuckle sternum first. The momentum bounces him back off the corner and into Price's waiting arms as her takes Purse over with a German suplex, staying with him for the pinfall. Sarah checks the shoulders and makes the count.
NO! Purse edges his way out before three.
Zach Davis: Close call! Eric Price wanting to end this now. Both men are battered and broken. I can't believe either of them are still going.
Shannan Lerch: The World Championship is at stake. They are going to go until there is nothing left.
Price is slow back to his feet, as of course is Purse. Both men battling on instinct now. Price a bit quicker than Purse and he sends the champion for yet another Irish whip, however, this time Purse uses the momentum and leaps up onto the turnbuckle before LAUNCHING himself off into a moonsault that catches Eric Price PERFECTLY and sends him into the canvas. Purse hooks the leg on the way down, staying with it for the pinfall. Sarah once again in position.
NO! Eric Price manages to push himself out before three!
Zach Davis: This is absolutely CRAZY! Neither of them want to stay down!
Shannan Lerch: Near fall after near fall. It's anyone's game at this point.
Purse back to his feet, Price back to his feet. Both men still very shaky and staggering. Eric with a hard fist. Jeff returns one of his own. They exchange lefts and rights over and over again. Purse gains an advantage and has Price reeling. He sends a roundhouse up at Price, and it's ducked! Price secures his grip and hoists Purse up for the Ca$h Flow! But Purse manages to wiggle free and slides off. Price turns around and is taken down with a jawbreaker. Purse to the turnbuckle once more. He climbs up and leaps off for The Deflator! He CRASHES into Eric Price who pulled up his knees just in time! Jeff clutches his abdomen, writhing in pain on the canvas and Price is up. He hauls Jeff to his feet to add the final exclamation point as he NAILS the Reversal of Fortune! Jeff is down and OUT. Sarah slides into position.
She glares up at Price for a split second before bring her hand down.
Kyle Steel: Here is your winner and NEW WCF World Heavyweight Champion.....ERIC PRICE!!!!
Zach Davis: Wow! What a damn hard fought victory for Eric Price! This was definitely one for the ages. Jeff Purse came at him with everything he had. There was no biased officiating, there was no excuses. In the end, Eric Price did exactly what he said he was going to do! Wow!
Shannan Lerch: Even with Sarah Twilight as the official, Eric Price still emerges world champion. This is damn epic!
Sarah rolls out of the ring as the timekeeper hands Eric the world championship and he prepares for his celebration.
Zach Davis: Quite frankly... I don't know what to say. I don't like Eric Price, but he's won the World Title at the grandest stage of them all, and no one can take that away from him.
Price climbs up one turnbuckle as confetti bursts from the rafters. The fans boo all the while.
Shannan Lerch: The face of WCF has changed and the balance of power has shifted. Pantheon gained control of the company, but lost the World Title. We saw stars rise, stars fall, and everything in between. What a night this has been.
Zach Davis: Don't forget, with Fly and Pantheon in charge, Price has said he's going to take the Title belt and leave! How will that play out?
Shannan Lerch: We'll find out on Slam.
Zach Davis: Goodnight.
We fade out with confetti still raining down onto Eric Price, finally the new WCF World Champion.
