Drunk and Crazy by Mogwai hits, and Slam is live once again! We go to Zach and Shannan.
Shannan Lerch: You don't look too good, Zach. You get beaten up at your other job? Maybe by a guy I've been telling you for years is no good?
Zach Davis: I don't want to talk about it. Let's talk about WCF, let's talk about Slam. Huge night tonight!
Shannan Lerch: We've got quite the main event. The Church of Dark Saints is up against Pantheon.
Zach Davis: Oblivion. Famine of the Vile. Zombie McMorris. Quite a frightening collection of individuals. Famine returned to the surprise of everyone, attacking Sado.
Shannan Lerch: Also to the surprise of everyone, we found out that it would be Oblivion getting the World Title shot against Jonny Fly at Revenge.
Zach Davis: That's right. The two leaders of their respective factions will go head to head based on Oblivion's victory over Jay Price one year ago at Revenge 2011, where he earned a World Title match he never received.
Shannan Lerch: In our semi main event, we've got Kid Phantasm forced to put his People's Title on the line against a man he considers a friend, FPV.
Zach Davis: That's right. Your brother, the jerk he is, booked this match just to mess with the both of them. That's after he aligned himself with ODIN BALFORE of all people. I mean... seriously?
Shannan Lerch: Seth and Odin will take out FPV for good next week at Revenge, in one of the War Placement Matches.
Zach Davis: Oh yeah. That, plus D-Day versus Logan. The winner of one match gets the LAST spot at War, while the loser in another match gets the FIRST spot. Two very intriguing sets of matches there.
Shannan Lerch: Speaking of Logan and D-Day, they're opposite each other in tag action this week. Logan teams with Synn, while D-Day teams with Waylon Cash. A lot of star power in that match!
Zach Davis: Definitely, the team of Deruty and Cash is an intriguing one. D-Day defeated Gravedigger in Gravedigger's last match here, and I'm sure he'd love a victory over the Face of Treachery himself, be it here or especially next week at Revenge.
Shannan Lerch: Last week also saw Eric Price take the Television Title from Jeff Purse. Price faces a man he is certainly no stranger to.... Tek.
Zach Davis: That's right. Tek is already a Tag Team Champion, having taken THAT belt from Price and Jakobs. There is a LOT of bad blood in this match and I can't wait to see it.
Shannan Lerch: We've got two non-title matchups, as Michael Santiago takes on Stuart Slane and Ryan Blake takes on Steve Orbit. Interesting stuff going on there...
Zach Davis: Well Shannan, it would seem that the Alliace is no more. After Balfore turned on Orbit, Orbit left the group, realizing that he can't trust anyone but himself. We'll see if Orbit can take down his former stablemate here tonight.
Shannan Lerch: Stuart Slane got an impressive victory last week in his triple threat. Tonight, however, his Revenge opponent, Johnny Stylez, is going to be the special guest ref... so who knows what'll happen!
Zach Davis: We've got a match to determine who will be facing Kid Phantasm next week at Revenge as well. Either Christopher Kane or Ryan Pugh. Both men were successful last week at Slam and earned their way into this match.
Shannan Lerch: Tonight will see Outcast teaming with the returning Hank Lane to face Joel Hall and Kamen Rider Subarashi. Lane is a Prophecy member, but I'm sure he'll be happy to team with a WCF legend.
Zach Davis: I'm not so sure Kamen Rider Subarashi will be happy to team with Joel Hall, however.... I'm not sure what is going on with that man.
Shannan Lerch: Ophelia Pain makes her in ring debut, and after their interaction last week, she's being forced to team with Tommy Kain. I believe this'll end up bringing up some old feelings for the both of them, I'm sure...
Zach Davis: Four way match between Jackie Giordano, Gemini, Kip Epps, and Kief. These four will certainly be out to make a name for themselves, and building up wins in matches like these is the way to do it.
Shannan Lerch: Roy Speede defends his Hardcore Title tonight, up against TWO men. Captain Sparrow Jackson and Liv3ratt. That'll be... well, that'll be something.
Zach Davis: Lastly, Seth has booked yet another of his infamous "You're Fired" battle royals. If everyone in the match can last the five minutes, they still have their jobs. If they're eliminated, they're unceremoniously fired.
Shannan Lerch: SOUNDS FUN!
Zach Davis: Ladies and gentleman, what a show we have for you tonight. Later, in the show, the new team of The Church of the Dark Saints are going to face off against the team of Johnny Reb and two members of Pantheon, Jeff Purse...
The house lights start to flicker
Zach Davis: What the hell? The Dark Church will face off against Johnny Reb, Jeff Purse, and the World Heavyweight Champion Jonny Fly.
The house lights flicker some more. for a split second the lights go out, but come back very quickly.
Shannan Lerch: Whoa, it seems that we are having some electrical problems. I'm hoping that my brother paid the electrical bill. At the next Pay Per View, the sexiest man in wrestling, Jonny Fly, will be defending the World Championship against the Monster, who at last year's Revenge IT earned a world title opportunity, that The Monster of Madness never received.
Zach Davis: But at this year's Revenge, Oblivion will get IT's World Championship opportunity....
the lights begin to violently vibrate. The lights over the ring, begin to flicker, then....
The lights pop and the lights go out. It takes a second, before the emergency lights come on. The crowd begin to vocal loudly, as the lights come back on. There are two angel statues on the entrance stage, one on each corner. There are several angel statues down the entrance ramp, even amount on each side of the ramp. In between the statues are long standing candles. The light is dim and colored blue.
Shannan Lerch: What the Hell is going on?
Zach Davis: I have no idea, Shannan! The lights flicker, then spark, then go out. Then the lights barely come back on and we see angel statues with long candles.
Almost unintelligible whispers come over the PA system. The sound of whispers, signals for the beginning of "Jesus Built My Hot rod" by Ministry. As the song truly begins, in its usual epic fashion, the curtain parts and out comes four large monster of men dressed in large dark hooded robes. The first individual steps forth wearing a crimson liturgical robe and clutching his 'Book of Dark Times'. The Gathering walks out. Both the small and the Monstrous Gathering show their Faith and loyalty towards Oblivion. The sound of thunder rattles the arena, as the other two hooded individuals follow the one holding the Book of Dark Times.
The Vixens come out next, dressed in white on white habits spotted with what appears to be blood and in the midst of the cluster of 'nuns' we see the Church's 'Messiah'.... The God of Insanity Oblivion himself! Following The Messiah, are three more hooded individuals with the titles of "Prospects". Those three slowly walk behind Oblivion. The Monster of Madness steps at a leisurely pace and looks about at the 'saved' and 'unsaved' alike. IT's gaze would evoke utter terror from any sane person. As Oblivion and three hooded individuals continue to follow Oblivion, fire begins to thrust up on both side, of the entrance ramp. One, of the hooded individuals, slides into the ring, leaping to a turnbuckle and pumping his fist to the crowd.
The first individual carefully places his book in one corner of the ring and then carefully climbs inside to join his tag team partner. The third individual slides under the bottom ring rope and proceeds to go to another corner of the ring, where he climbs up to the second turnbuckle and roars out. The fourth and last individual slides into the ring and walks to near the center, of the ring, where he drops to his knees, throwing his arms into the air, tilting his head back. The Gathering and The Vixens lead IT in procession around ringside as Oblivion continues staring down the crowd, almost as if remembering all of their faces... or looking into their souls. Two of the hooded individuals, each take one side and hold the ropes open for their 'savior' as IT enters the ring. The last three "Prospect" individuals are standing ring side. In the center of the ring is a podium, with a mic attached to it. Four thrones are behind the podium. The four hooded individuals take their seats on their thrones, as Oblivion walks up to the podium, as the music slowly fades out....
Oblivion: Welcome Congregation to the Church of the Dark Saints.
The crowd cheers.
Oblivion: Later tonight, The Dark Church goes into an holy battle with Johnny Reb and two members of Pantheon, Jeff Purse...
The Vixens scream out...
The Vixens: TRAITOR-OR-OR-OR!!
Oblivion: ...and the next former WCF World Heavyweight Champion, Jonny Fly. But, before we discuss Church business, this is the perfect opportunity to introduce the members of the Church of the Dark Saints.
The four men stand up from the thrones.
Oblivion: First let me introduce to you, my Crimson Prophet...
That individual throws off his dark robe...
Zach Davis: That's the newcomer Andy Warhawk.
Oblivion: Next is his tag team partner. They will be named The Reign of Terror...
The second individual disrobes...
Zach Davis: It's The Honey Badger Zombie McMorris!!
Oblivion: now, this next individual is no stranger to Oblivion. In fact you can say this individual is a monster...
The third person disrobes...
Shannan Lerch: It's Famine of the Vile!!
Oblivion: Now, the surprise. Ladies and gentlemen, our next member is back!! He has been gone for awhile, but now he's back. He too is a monster....
Zach Davis: I wonder who this could be?
Shannan Lerch: Really, Zach?
The four person throws off their robe and the crowd reacts loudly...
Zach Davis/Shannan Lerch: IT'S NATHAN VON LEIBERT!!
Oblivion: WCF!! We are the Church of the Dark Saints.
Zach Davis: I wonder who those three other people are? You think we are going to find out?!
Shannan Lerch: Who knows Zach. Who knows.
Oblivion: Tonight... JOHNNY REB, JEFF PURSE....
Oblivion: A-A-AND THE NEXT FORMER WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, JONNY FLY!! Gentlemen, get ready for a war, because tonight, The Dark Church are going to make examples out of you three!! With that...
Both kinds of The Gathering scramble up and scream into the mic...
The Gathering: YOU CAN CHO-O-O-OKE O-O-ON THA-A-A-ATT-T!!
Oblivion holds up the mic and The WCF Arena screams out....
Oblivion drops the mic and "Jesus Built My Hot rod" by Ministry begin to play as The Church of the Dark Saints stand in the center, of the ring, with the three "Prospects" stand behind them. The Gathering and The Vixens surround The Dark Church...
Zach Davis: WCF has officially gone to Hell!!
Shannan Lerch: Oh whatever Zach!!
As we come back from commercial, all the competitors are in the ring. The match is about to get under way when suddenly all of the lights in the arena go out. Everyone's attention is focused on the video wall as images begin to emerge on the screen.
Shannan Lerch: What the hell is going on? We are supposed to be having a match right now.
Zach Davis: I have about as much of an idea as you do.
Everyone looks on, including the competitors in the ring as the screen comes to life with some very disturbing images. The landscape is dark and very somber as a thunderstorm rumbles away in the background. As our cameras move closer, we can see a village, burning in flames and full of destruction. A war is taking place with complete brutality. Warriors have their heads cleaved from their shoulders. Women and children are slaughtered unmercilessly as opposing forces rampage through the doomed land.
Shannan Lerch: This is sickening. What is this? Why are we airing this?
Zach Davis: I can only imagine it's someone's idea of a sick joke? But whatever it is, the technical crew needs to cut the feed now!
Our image changes to show a grieving woman, knelt over her slain husband and she weeps into her hands, overtaken by sorrow and pain. Lighting crashes and blinds the entire view of the screen which fades into black. There is nothing but silence for a long moment. Finally, the screen fills again, this time with some words written across it. Without warning, the maiden from the earlier scene appears upon the screen once again. She turns from her weeping and reads aloud the words that have formed on the screen.
"The wicked shall pay consequence for their transgressions."
The screen goes black once more and the lights in the arena return to normal. The crowd is stunned by what they've just witnessed and are talking amongst themselves.
Zach Davis: A very, ominous message to say the least, Shannan.
Shannan Lerch: I have no idea what that was all about, but it freaked me out! Now can we get back to the match so I can just forget about all that?
Zach Davis: It looks like everyone in the ring is just as puzzled, but I think everything has returned to normal and we should be ready to get started.
Chaos breaks out. Steeltoe Joe and Priest begin brawling, as do Henry and Knight. Windsor attacks Jonathan Jakobs. Hunter Valentyne keeps himself with his back to a turnbuckle, looking out for anyone trying to attack him.
Shannan Lerch: Nine men have their jobs on the line for the next five minutes. I hope they all get fired and I get a raise.
Zach Davis: Hey... me too!
Joe is picking Priest several times in the gut. After that Joe goes for a Vertical Suplex, but Priest is just too heavy. Priest breaks out of it and runs at Joe, hitting him with a series of European Uppercuts followed by a Headbutt, knocking Joe down. Priest then grabs Doc Henry.
Shannan Lerch: Bad blood here!
Priest throws Henry to the ropes and hits a Powerslam as Henry comes back. Priest stands up and is met with a Dropkick from Shane Knight. Knight kicks Priest in the gut then drops him with a DDT!
Zach Davis: Good move by Shane Knight, taking down the big man!
Knight follows up with a Split Legged Moonsault! As Knight gets back up, Kale Windsor runs at him and Chop Blocks him from behind.
Shannan Lerch: Nasty move.
Zach Davis: The clock is ticking, no eliminations yet.
Windsor grabs Knight and throws him out of the ring!
Shannan Lerch: Knight is fired-
No! Knight lands on the apron as Windsor turns around. Knight Springboards over the top and Dropkicks Windsor in the back! Windsor drops to the mat. Knight is then met with a huge Clothesline from Steeltoe Joe.
Zach Davis: Lots of big powerful men in this match capable of eliminating anyone at any time.
Joe kicks at Knight, and all of a sudden Hunter Valentyne decides it is time to attack. Valentyne runs at Joe, but Joe catches him and hits a Belly to Belly... sending Valentyne flying over the top rope!
Shannan Lerch: HOLY SHIT!
Zach Davis: Steeltoe Joe has done it! He's finally rid WCF of Hunter Valentyne once and for all!
The crowd cheers as Valentyne hits the mat. Back in the ring, Windsor is being picked up by Jakobs. Windsor starts fighting back, however, and hits Jakobs with a Jawbreaker. Windsor then climbs to the top rope.
Shannan Lerch: He's going for the Rodeo Dive!
But Jakobs gets up and runs at the ropes, causing Windsor to crotch himself on the turnbuckle! He falls down onto the apron.
Zach Davis: Windsor in a precarious position here, one fall away from losing his job...
Jakobs runs at Windsor, going to knock him off, but Windsor avoids it and shoulders Jakobs in the gut. Windsor then grabs him and hits a Vertical Suplex, bringing Jakobs over the ropes and spilling to the outside!
Shannan Lerch: Oh damn! Jonathan Jakobs eliminated!
Zach Davis: Former Tag Team Champion loses his job... that's a shame actually.
Windsor quickly climbs back into the ring. Though the clock is ticking down...
Shannan Lerch: This match is almost over!
Only a few more seconds. Doc Henry is by himself, and he raises his arms in victory, happy to not get fired.
Zach Davis: Aanndd that is pretty much that-
From literally out of nowhere, COREY BLACK slides into the ring.
Shannan Lerch: OH WHAT THE-
Black grabs Henry from behind and tosses him out of the ring.
Zach Davis: What!?
Corey looks down at Henry, grinning ear to ear. The bell sounds.
Shannan Lerch: The match is over... has Doc Henry been fired?!
The crowd is buzzing. Henry slides back into the ring to attack Corey, but Corey slides out and escapes through the crowd. Henry is about to chase him before he argues with the ref instead, asking if he's fired.... and the ref responds that he is.
Zach Davis: I'm not sure the ref actually saw that Corey was the one that threw Doc out of the ring!
The ref indicates for security to come to the ring to deal with Henry. Henry is livid as the other wrestlers leave the ring, and the security guards enter it and tackle Henry down, taking him to the back.
Shannan Lerch: Is... is that the last we've seen of Doc Henry?
Zach Davis: The ring is now being decorated, black carpeting, a few monitors in the background, streamers at each corner of the ring.
Shannan Lerch: The familiar logo in the center of the ring, you know what it’s time for, right? Eric Price’s victory celebration!
Zach Davis: Whoopee, another one of those.
Shannan Lerch: Come on, you’re not really into the spirit of this are you. We should celebrate having a new WCF Television Champion.
Zach Davis: He’ll probably lose that title tonight.
Shannan Lerch: With the role he’s been on recently, I don’t see it happening.
Kyle Steel: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome your new WCF Television Champion, Mr. Eric Price.
“When the Saints go Marching In” starts playing over the loudspeakers as fireworks begin to shower the entrance quickly as Eric Price appears in a limousine, through the moonroof with his title around his shoulder waving at the audience with a huge smile on his face. The limousine drives up near the ring and the driver quickly gets out once he stops to allow Price to get out of his limo and walk up to the ring.
Zach Davis: We have “The Saints” playing and here comes Satan himself.
Shannan Lerch: How dare you compare such a magnanimous and generous man like Eric Price to Satan? He is a good man, a saint as the song says.
Zach Davis: Oh please. He was embroiled in a scandal last week and still is dealing with the ramifications of it and after last week when he came on to Jeff Purse’s girlfriend forcefully, you have to wonder what sort of explanation he has about that.
Shannan Lerch: He didn’t force himself. She wanted it but then decided to change her mind and reject him. She was toying with him.
Zach Davis: What a story, what a croc you came up with.
Shannan Lerch: It’s the truth.
Zach Davis: That Kari forced … oh you make me sick.
Shannan Lerch: I wish he’d come on to me.
Zach Davis: Keep dreaming. As Price makes his way into the ring here with a huge smile on his face, the audience booing him louder than ever before, let’s see what our new Television Champion has to say.
Eric Price: Thank you! Thank you! Oh thank you so very much, yes!
Zach Davis: Chorus of boos to welcome Price here tonight louder than ever. This crowd not happy that he beat Purse for the TV Title last week.
Eric Price: Thank you so much for that warm reception. In case you didn’t watch Slam last week, I am your new WCF Television Champion, Mr. Eric Price. Let’s hear it for me!
Crowd: You suck! You suck! You suck!
Shannan Lerch: This crowd so disrespectful.
Eric Price: And as your benefactor, I will continue giving, yes giving to you, the little people. Yes, because I am a giving and caring man, I will make sure you the little people are taken care of here tonight! How would you like to have your ticket money refunded here tonight?!
Zach Davis: Crowd’s liking this. He’s being very generous here tonight.
Eric Price: Yeah, well that’s not going to happen.
Crowd: Asshole! Asshole! Asshole!
Shannan Lerch: Hahaha!
Eric Price: I’ll tell you what though, you’d like to get some free money though wouldn’t you. Well, here you go.
The arena starts seeing money being dispersed from the roof on down to the audience.
Zach Davis: What is this? Money, he’s actually giving the crowd money here tonight. Wow, he must really be in a good mood.
Shannan Lerch: The money falling here, let me see if I can get some.
Zach Davis: Price certainly with a huge smile on his face in the ring, winning that title really has made him quite happy it seems.
Shannan Lerch: What the hell is this? This money has his face on it.
Zach Davis: Let me take a look at another bill here, looks like this one too. A shot in the audience here, all the money seems to have his face on it.
Eric Price: Hahahahaha!!! Oh my, you people really are that gullible aren’t you?
Crowd: Asshole! Asshole! Asshole!
Eric Price: Come on now, don’t blame me. The first time sure, shame on me. The second time, shame on all of you for being so damn stupid.
Zach Davis: What a bastard! Damn, damn him!
Eric Price: Nevertheless, I am out here this week to celebrate my victory over that loser known as Jeff Purse when I won what is now my Television Title! You see, I deserve to have this title because my name is Mr. Eric Price and I am just that good. Purse, you can’t even hold a candle to me. Ever since I won this title Purse, you’ve been rather quiet. You haven’t been boasting or posting hash tags or trying to get attention, you’ve simply run and hid like a scared little boy. You were often billed as “The Future”, hell in Pantheon that’s what they often call you. Then again, considering Pantheon is a bunch of losers that signify stagnation, it makes sense that you would lose your title. After all, you are the future Purse, a washed up loser who simply never made it to the top. You see Purse, unlike you, I am destined for the upper echelon of our industry whereas you will always be stuck in the middle, close to the top but never quite there. Fly has a lot to do with that as he’s holding you down but that’s a long conversation for a different day, this isn’t about you after all. No no, we’re here to discuss something and someone important, we’re here to discuss the WCF Television Title and we’re here to talk about me!
Eric Price: Folks, sit back and watch because tonight will be the first of many title defenses you will see from yours truly Eric Price because I will beat Tek quite easily tonight. But I digress, let’s enjoy the festivities here. Hey Purse, by the way, how’s your girlfriend doing?
Zach Davis: What a sick individual to ask such a question after what he did last week.
“Won’t Back Down” by Eminem blares on the PA as Jeff Purse quickly emerges with his girlfriend Kari in tow, microphone already in hand.
Zach Davis: Finally ending this self-promoting love fest.
Shannan Lerch: What are you talking about? I was enjoying it. What is Purse doing here?
Zach Davis: Maybe going to knock some sense into Price after what he did last week. Right now, he’s staying up on the stage.
Eric Price: What the hell are you doing here? Security, security get out here.
Zach Davis: Oh what surprise. Price is such a coward, he always calls for security. Got a few guards running down the ramp and toward the ring here to protect Price.
Eric Price: Just for the record, these guards aren’t to protect me from you, they’re to protect you from me.
Zach Davis: Yeah, right.
Jeff Purse: Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny Eric. You know you should be a comedian. The whole celebration out here is very, very funny. But lets get to it Price...Price. You know Eric, you may have beat me for the TV title, yeah, but how does it feel being known as the less successful Price? The lesser known Price? How does it feel knowing that no matter what you do here, the Price on peoples’ minds is going to be Jay Price? Is that heartwarming, Eric?
Jeff Purse: Listen let me tell you something you pompous piece of rat shit. You are not good enough to clean my boots, Price. You got yourself a nice little bit of luck at Slam last week, but you know what bro? Revenge is coming. And there is nothing I would like more, then a chance to destroy you, and get Revenge for what you did to Kari. But lets make it interesting, because with you in it people aren't going to want to watch...so I am going to take a page out of my good friend Corey Black’s book. Ladder match. For MY television title. What do you say you?
Eric Price: Your Television Title? Cute, just cute. First off, I am the only relevant Price in this company, no one gives a shit about that drunken, pill-popping joke Jay Price. He’s gone from WCF and he’s never ever coming back! But you know what, I’ll give you your rematch at Revenge provided I retain my title tonight, which I do see happening. But you have to do one simple thing for me to get your rematch. All you have to do is have your little girlfriend there Kari come down there to this ring and kiss me right on the cheek.
Zach Davis: Oh my God.
Eric Price: It won’t hurt, that’s all you have to do.
Jeff Purse:...No. No thats not going to happen. Sorry.
Zach Davis: Good.
Shannan Lerch: She wants it.
Kari has taken the mic. She starts tapping her foot.
Kari: You know Eric? If you can beat Jeff...I'll...I'll give you the kiss of a lifetime. How bout that, BITCH!?
Zach Davis: A look of glee on Price’s face now.
Eric Price: You know what, you’re on! At Revenge, it will be Eric Price versus Jeff Purse in a ladder match and Kari, I can’t wait for that lovely kiss.
“You Know My Name” by Chris Cornell plays over the speakers.
Shannan Lerch: The match is set!
Zach Davis: There you have it folks, a rematch that many are looking forward to, Eric Price versus Jeff Purse for Revenge but you have to wonder about that odd request from Price. Is Kari actually going to go through with it?
Shannan Lerch: Of course she will, she needs to dump that loser Purse and get with a winner like Eric Price.
Zach Davis: Well, later tonight we’ll see if Price retains his Television Title in his first defense against one of his greatest rivals, Tek. That’s coming up later on Slam!
The lights go out in the arena. After several seconds, words written in a bright white begin flashing on the otherwise blackened out Jumbotron. With each fading word, a new word pops up on the screen.
As the last word fades, all five words reappear on the jumbotron at once.
CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW!?!
The lights slowly come back on as 'Hear Me Now' by Hollywood Undead begins to play through the speakers as Roy Speede steps out on stage with his title belt around his waist. He crosses his arms in an X across his chest, with his right arm underneath his left, and his hands in his fists. He bows his head for several seconds, and his chin rests in the gap between his fists.
Kyle Steel: The following handicap match is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the WCF Hardcore Championship! Introducing first, from Richmond, Virginia, Wrestling Championship Federation's own Silver Lining and the WCF Hardcore Champion, he is ROY SPEEEEDE!!
Roy drops his right arm and unhooks his title belt from his waist. He raises his left arm in the air, with his Hardcore Championship raised proudly. He drops his arm after several seconds and places the belt over his shoulder, and begins walking to ringside, high-fiving fans as he goes, before climbing onto the apron, and then climbing the outside of the turnbuckle. He raises his left arm, the championship belt high in the air in his hands for the entire arena to see. He leaps from the turnbuckle into the ring.
Zach Davis: Well, it’s time for Roy Speede’s first Hardcore Title defense. Let’s see how he does here in this handicap match.
The opening notes to “He’s a Pirate” start to play over the speakers, and the crowd pops big as Captain Sparrow Jackson steps onto the stage wearing his trademark pirate jacket and hat, with his steel sword in hand. He raises the sort in the air with a yell, and then runs to the ring, before sliding under the bottom rope and in. He stands up and climbs to the second rung at the nearest turnbuckle, and then raises his sword in the air with another yell, and then flips the sword to face down and throws it so that it stands in the floor below.
Shannan Lerch: I think this guy might give Speede some problems, what with having a sword and all.
Zach Davis: We’ll see. Quite honestly I think his partner is a bit of a hindrance to Speede’s chances.
"Bangarang" by Skrillex hits the speakers, and Liv3ratt comes out, bobbing his head to the music with his hands up in the air, and the fans cheer for him as he proceeds down the ramp. He slaps a few hands and climbs up the stairs, and then climbs the outside of the turnbuckle and steps over the turnbuckle before climbing down the inside of the turnbuckle into the ring.
Kyle Steel: And his opponents, first, from Tortuga, he is Captain Sparrow Jackson! And his partner, from New York City, he is LIV3RATT!
Shannan Lerch: Him?
Zach Davis: Yeah, him! He’s got a steel helmet, Shannan!
< DING-DING-DING! >
The team of two charges at once right at Speede, and Speede catches Jackson with a boot to the gut, and then turns to aim for Liv3ratt, but The Rat catches Speede with a headbutt to the face. He pins Speede.
Shannan Lerch: I can see why, Zach.
Speede powers out right away, and as Captain Jackson steps between the ropes and drops out of the ring, Liv3ratt steps back while Speede gets to his feet. He charges forward again as Jackson walks around the ring, trying to find his sword, and unable to find it goes under the ring. Speede sidesteps Liv3ratt, and the Rat runs head-first into the turnbuckle hard enough that it cracks his helmet. Speede rolls up Liv3ratt for a pin.
Zach Davis: So close for Speede there!
Speede gets to his feet and turns to see Jackson sliding back into the ring with a steel chair, but not in quite enough time to duck it.
< WHAM! >
Speede takes a chair shot to the skull and staggers backward into the ropes.
< WHAM! >
< WHAM! >
Jackson smashes the chair two more times against Speede’s head, and then jabs it into his gut.
< WHAM! >
Shannan Lerch: Speede taking quite a few chairshots there!
Jackson cracks the chair across Speede’s back and then rolls The Silver Lining over and pins him.
Zach Davis: Great endurance to kick out there!
Jackson grabs the chair, and Liv3ratt, from behind, grabs the chair from behind. Jackson turns and the two start to argue about it, both claiming they should be the one to score the pinfall. Speede rolls Jackson up into a schoolboy pin.
Liv3ratt nails Speede with a boot to the gut that breaks up the pin, and then as Speede gets up, Liv3ratt lifts the chair up and swings it.
< CRA-A-A-ACK! >
Speede jumps and catches a dropkick to the seat of the chair in mid-air, and the chair smacks back against the helmet on LIv3ratt’s head, causing the crack down the side of it to split further. He stumbles into the ropes to maintain his balance, and at this point Speede is clubbed in the back by Sparrow Jackson. He spins and drops the Captain with a roundhouse kick, and then grabs the chair and climbs the corner with it in hand.
Shannan Lerch: Speede going high risk with the chair!
Zach Davis: What could he be planning?
< CRA-A-A-ACK! >
Speede leaps and drives it down at an angle into the helmet on Liv3ratt’ head, splitting it clear into two pieces. It falls off his head, and the man inside the helmet scrambles to try to find it. Speede smirks and lifts Liv3ratt onto his shoulders in a fireman’s carry position, and drops the man with a Silver Slice.
Shannan Lerch: Roy Speede in the Driver’s Seat here, folks!
Speede pulls Captain Sparrow Jackson up to his feet and sets him up for the Silver Bullet. The crowd pops, and Speede slams Jackson down on the chair with his finisher flawlessly. He looks over at Liv3ratt, who is getting to his feet, and kicks Jackson out of the ring before pulling Liv3ratt into a full nelson as well before executing the Silver Bullet onto the chair and pinning as a masked man comes running out from the back.
< DING-DING-DING! >
Speede gets to his feet and raises his title belt in the air, staring down at the masked man lurking outside the ring. He grabs the steel chair from the ring apron that had been kicked aside, and slides into the ring as Speede drops to the mat and rolls out, and then runs up the ramp.
Backstage, we see Sado with her business suit walking in the corridor then someone approaches her.
Seth Lerch: well, I finally meet Miss Shinoda face-to-face. How are you?
Mariko Shinoda: cut I out, Seth! You have to tell me the reason why!
Seth Lerch: Why? What do you mean “why”?
Mariko Shinoda: you look like a complete idiot when you say that, Mister Lerch! You know what I mean, right?
Seth Lerch: ooh, about that! Yes, I canceled you match against Oblivion because I think you are not ready for that. I mean, Oblivion is the most fearsome wrestler in here, he’s the wrestler with multiple accomplishments and a future hall of famer and you? You have no experience in wrestling, luckily you have a street fight background to survive. As you know something, Miss Shinoda, your street fighting skill is not enough even to survive in this place. You still have to learn something about wrestling. As for Revenge, you can freely choose your opponent to fight with and prove me that you are Oblivion’s worthy opponent. It’s up to you….
Mariko Shinoda: hmph, okay! I will pick one opponent as my opponent for next week to prove it that I can make Oblivion suffered by my hands.
Seth Lerch: good, and you know something? You are successfully see my good side because if I let you fight Oblivion next week, I’m sure both of your unconscious “real stuff” will never see you again.
Seth leaves her as we moves to Zach and Shannan.
Zach Davis: We have our main event coming up... I'm... Excuse me?! Yes, I'm getting word there is a situation backstage.
Shannan Lerch: We do?
Zach Davis: I guess so. That's what I'm being told on the head set.
The backstage camera shows Hank Brown being surrounded by The Church of the Dark Saints, the three Church Prospects, along with the screaming Gathering and shrieking Vixens.
Hank Brown: Zach and Shannan...
Zach Davis: I get top billing, ha!!
Shanan Lerch: Shut up, you idiot!!
Hank Brown: Hank and Shannan, standing with me, is...
Oblivion, Andy Warhawk, Famine of the Vile, Zombie McMorris, and Nathan Von Liebert stand in front of the camera...
Oblivion: PANTHEON AND JOHNNY REB!! JUST IN A FEW SHORT MINUTES WE WILL DO BATTLE. It will be time to exact revenge against Johnny Reb and soften up the world champion!! Jeff Purse you'll be just collateral damage. But, it would be sweet, seeing you writhing around in pain. It's payback time and you three are going to pay up...
The crowd slightly cheers as walks in Sado. Liebert, Warhawk and ZMac tries to block her way to Oblivion and Famine. Sado stares at those three men before she reach both of her hands at Liebert and Warhawk's shoulder to move them aside meaning she don't have any business with them. then she moves to Oblivion and Famine.
Mariko Shinoda: oy, Famine!! next week, come to Wells Fargo warehouse before the show starts. let's settle this in a Yankee way. I don't need your answer, come or you will be called by all WCF fans as a coward because you run away from woman's challenge.
Famine looks nods at Sado's challenge then she stares at Oblivion.
Mariko Shinoda: Temee~ (Bastards)! you can keep Haruna somewhere and use her for your objectives for a little longer. I promise after I take care of your underling, I will.....
Sado shows her palm to Oblivion's face and then she slowly crushes it.
Mariko Shinoda: .....definitely crush you! Atashi wa MAJI da yo (I'm serious)!!
Sado moves out from the screen as we see a big evil smirks drawn over Oblivion's face.
Zach Davis: it’s official, Kira Sakazaki’s girlfriend will face returning Famine of the Vile in a backstage brawl match at Revenge. This grudge match will be an interesting match.
Shannan Lerch: Kira suffered an unstable condition since last PPV and his girlfriend comes to take care all of his business in this place. What a lovely couple!
Zach Davis: can Sado defeats one of Oblivion’s Church follower to prove that she deserve to face the leader itself?
“Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked” by Cage The Elephant hits the PA, and Jackie slowly starts walking down the entrance ramp, every now and them turning to face the crowd and grinning. Once inside the ring, Jackie cracks his knuckles, and gets ready for the match.
The lights in the arena go purple, almost like an amethyst as Gemini’s theme, Realeza by Jim Johnson starts. After a few seconds, Gemini walks out, along with two of his lovely girls, in their bra and panties, clinging onto his arms and kissing him in the cheek. After performing a small dance, the two girls head out back to the locker room. Meanwhile, Gemini walks out, casually walking to the ring, like the match was a joke. Once he gets near the ring, he climbs the steps and walks over the top rope into the ring. He prepares himself for his opponent.
The lights turn blue and a spot light shows at the top of the WCF titaintron you see Kip is up there and he jumps off and opens his parachute and lands on the stage and when he lands “The Air Force Song” plays. Kip gets up and heads to the ramp and when he gets there he salutes and as he dose that Red White and Blue pyro goes off behind him. He makes his way down the ramp to the ring. When Kip gets in the ring he stands in the middle of it and salutes to all sides of the ring and takes off the glasses and flight suite
Kief comes out, the crowd cheers.
Zach Davis: WHAT AN ENTRANCE BY KIEF!
The bell sounds, and the match is on.
Shannan Lerch: I'm just glad Kief's manager isn't here...
The Fixer grabs Gemini and throws him to the ropes. As Gemini comes back, Giordano hits a Tiltawhirl Backbreaker. Giordano then begins hitting Gemini with a series of stomps. Meanwhile, Kip Epps has tied up with Kief. Kief uses his weight to get the upper hand, and throws Epps to the ropes, just like Gemini a few moments ago. Epps comes back and Kief plants Epps with a big Spinebuster!
Zach Davis: These guys are starting it up with some big moves!
Kief goes for a quick pin.
Epps kicks out.
Shannan Lerch: Kief... is weird.
Giordano grabs Kief from behind and spins him around before executing a Snap DDT! Giordano quickly pins Kief now.
No! Kief kicks out now.
Zach Davis: Nearfalls are important in a match like this; any opportunity to get the victory is a big deal.
Giordano turns to Epps, who has begun to get up. Giordano goes for a Discus Clothesline but Epps ducks it. Epps kicks Giordano in the gut and lifts him up.
Shannan Lerch: What a show of power!
Epps hits Giordano with a Fireman's Carry Cutter! Epps gets up, adrenaline pumping, but he's met with a Dropkick from Gemini. Epps backs up and Gemini runs at him, hitting a Running Knee Lift. Epps is about to go down until Gemini grapples him from behind and executes a German Suplex bridge pin!
No!, Giordano breaks it up. Giordano grabs Gemini and throws him out of the ring. He then backs up as Kip Epps begins to stand and runs at him, going for a Brogue Kick.
Zach Davis: The Rub-Out!
But Epps sidesteps it and tosses Giordano out of the ring! This leaves just Epps and Kief. Kief runs as fast as he can at Epps and hits him with a Clothesline, sending him down. Epps gets back up but Kief pulls him in and Powerbombs him.
Shannan Lerch: Here we go...
Kief picks him up and hits another Powerbomb..... and does it one more time too, into a sitout pin!
Zach Davis: This could be it!
NO! Epps kicks out!
Shannan Lerch: Wow! That was close.
Kief wants to put Epps away. He backs up, waiting for Epps to stand.
Zach Davis: Time for a Mouth Full of Kief!
Once Epps is to his feet, Kief goes for his Superkick!, but Epps avoids it and hits a Back Bodydrop, sending Kief flying out of the ring!
Shannan Lerch: Damn! I could feel the earth shake as Kief hit the cold hard cement out there.
Epps turns around and comes face to face with Gemini, who just reentered the ring. Gemini fires off a few right hooks, sending Epps reeling. Gemini then runs at Bulldogs Epps down to the ground! Clearly hurting, Epps slowly gets back to his feet, and Gemini measures him up...
Zach Davis: Now Gemini plans to finish Epps off!
Gemini hits Epps with an Inverted Double Underhook Facebuster!
Shannan Lerch: Gemstone Breaker! That's his move!
Gemini drops down onto Epps, hooking his leg.
NO! Giordano breaks it up!
Zach Davis: WOW! What a match!
Giordano throws Gemini out of the ring and pins Epps himself!
NO! Epps kicks out this time! Cursing, Giordano gets up and kicks away at Epps. Giordano picks him up and goes for a kick but Epps knows he needs to fight back. Epps catches it and spins Giordano around before lifting him up and hitting a Backbreaker Rack into Powerbomb!
Shannan Lerch: MAN DOWN!
Epps quickly pins Giordano, seeing his chance for victory!
NO! Giordano kicks out now!
Zach Davis: So many nearfalls! These guys are giving it their all.
From the outside, on one side of the ring, Kief pulls out Epps while Gemini pulls out Giordano. Gemini enters the ring as Kief pulls out a pair of hand cuffs and cuffs Epps to the guard rail!
Shannan Lerch: Ha!
Zach Davis: Wait.. is that legal!? What am I saying, of course it isn't.
Kief slides into the ring as Gemini runs at him. Kief snaps off a Superkick out of nowhere!
Shannan Lerch: MOUTH FULL OF KIEF!
Kief falls down onto Gemini, pinning him.
Epps is raging on the outside of the ring.
Zach Davis: Kief steals it!
Kief gets up as his music plays, getting his arm raised in the air. The ref never notices that one of the participants in the match is handcuffed to the outside. Kief turns to him and laughs as he leaves the ring.
Shannan Lerch: I hope security has a key to unlock Epps, or else he's gonna watch the whole show from there.
Indeed, security checks on Epps as we go to commercial.
The scene cuts to Seth Lerch’s office, where Speede is staring directly at the WCF Owner from across the desk.
Roy Speede: I don’t know what the hell is going on around here, but you as the owner of the company will be sued if anything happens to Alex Haden. You of all people let that... Abomination show his face on the Jumbotron last week.
Seth Lerch: Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you come in. Who might you be, again?
Roy's about to answer but Seth cuts him off.
Seth Lerch: Just kidding, Speede, just kidding. But I have better things to do than worry about who submits videos to the jumbotron... and to be honest, it was good television!
Roy Speede: Look, all I’m asking is that, if you know what the hell is happening, you either handle it, or tell me what’s going on so I can handle it. I’m not holding myself responsible for whatever happens to the human scum who is behind all this if my cousin is murdered.
Seth Lerch: You can think what you want about my abilities to run a wrestling promotion, but are you seriously suggesting I'd allow someone to get away with MURDER!? Erm, besides those few deaths that happened in a WCF match... but this is different. I PROMISE you, Speede, if I had any information that would put your cousin in danger, I'd let you know.
Still, Seth seems disingenuous and uncaring.
Roy Speede: I know this company’s done this kind of shit before with other wrestlers, Mr. Lerch, and I know we don’t get along great, but I need some cooperation on this. I need some advice or some sort of help on this, I don’t know what. If you know what’s going on, don’t sit by and let this happen. Do something about it.
Speede shakes his head.
Roy Speede: Next week at Revenge, I want whoever the fuck is doing this in a match. One on One. Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. And if you think he won’t show, whoever the fuck it is, put my title on the line. But this isn’t going to go without punishment.
Seth Lerch: You know what, Speede? THAT is good television, and I think I can make it happen.
The shot cuts back to the ring.
"Fall Back Down" by Rancid plays over the PA.
Tommy Kain makes his way to the ring, slapping hands with fans along the way and getting a good reaction from the crowd. When he reaches the ring, he slides under the bottom rope and sits in a corner of the ring awaiting his tag team partner.
Zach Davis: The fans seem to have begun to take a liking to Tommy Kain.
Shannan Lerch: He's just... he's so cool, Zach, how could anyone not like him?
Ophelia steps out onto the stage and smiles out at everyone before doing a front handspring and proceeding to prance her way down to the ring. She slides under the bottom rope, quickly rises up to her knees and screams at the top of her lungs. She hops up, thrusts the horns into the air with another scream, and begins hopping around as her team's music stops.
Shannan Lerch: And then there's... Ophelia?
Zach Davis: WCF newcomer Ophelia Pain, debuting tonight as Tommy Kain's tag team partner. Who knows what to expect from this one.
Kyle Steel: The following tag team match is scheduled for one fall... introducing first, the team of TOMMY KAIN... and, making her WCF in-ring debut, OPHELIA PAIN!!!!!
"Southern Renegade" by Moccasin Creek starts playing as Adam Young and Corey Moon start towards the ring in matching black "Red River Coalition" t-shirts. They high five each other and then turn towards the fans and give them a one bird salute. The fans are booing and hissing as they climb into the ring.
Zach Davis: And of course the infamous Adam Young with his new tag team partner, "Moondog" Corey Moon.
Shannan Lerch: They didn't have much luck last week-- that could all change tonight.
Kyle Steel: And their opponents... the team of ADAM YOUNG and COREY MOON.... THE RED RIVER COALITION!!!!!
With all four wrestlers in the ring, the teams stare each other down and trash talk a little before deciding on who will start the match legally. Tommy Kain and Corey Moon remain in the ring as Ophelia Pain and Adam Young take their spots on the apron.
DING DING DING
Moon and Kain collide in the middle of the ring, trading blows. Moon pokes Kain in the eye, giving him a quick upper hand. Moondog blows off the ref and keeps attacking Kain with kicks to the gut, eventually bringing Kain to his knees. Moon backs up and runs towards Kain, hitting him with a big knee to the head.
Zach Davis: Corey Moon taking it to Tommy Kain early on.
Shannan Lerch: Kain getting back to his feet... Moondog takes him back down with a standing dropkick.
Moondog starts talking trash to the crowd-- the crowd boos him fiercely. He is about to turn around but is surprised when Kain is right behind him, Kain rolls him up!
Zach Davis: Tommy Kain tried to capitalize on that situation but it didn't get him very far, not even a two count.
Shannan Lerch: Still, Kain is back in control, whipping Corey Moon into a neutral corner and... nailing him with knee lift after knee lift.
With Moon supporting himself with the corner of the ring, Kain climbs to the second rope and starts wailing away with big right hands to Moondog's head. The crowd loves it, the ref doesn't as he is warning Kain to stop. After about a dozen big right hands, Kain jumps off the ropes and Moondog collapses in the corner. Kain paces around the ring for a moment, thinking about his next move. He decides to go to his corner and tag in Ophelia Pain. The crowd pops for the debut of the newest member of WCF.
Zach Davis: Here we go, WCF debut happening right now.
Ophelia plays to the crowd for a moment as Moondog begins to get up in the opposite corner. Ophelia charges, doing a handspring towards Moondog--
Zach Davis: Corey Moon dives out of the way and Ophelia Pain hits the turnbuckles hard!
Shannan Lerch: Moon tags in Adam Young!
With Ophelia dropping down off the turnbuckles, Young hits the ring trying to capitalize on Ophelia's miscalculation. He goes to kick her but she catches his leg and flips him onto the mat. Young quickly gets back to his feet, Ophelia grabs him and whips him to the ropes, she runs to the opposite ropes and connects with Young in the middle of the ring with a HUGE flying clothesline.
Zach Davis: She almost decapitated Adam Young!
Ophelia gets back to her feet, stomping Young as he tries to get up off the mat. With Young on the mat trying to collect himself, Ophelia goes through the ropes to the ring apron, waiting for Young to get back to his feet--
Zach Davis: Slingshot diving headbutt by Ophelia Pain! She covers Young!
Shannan Lerch: Impressive start for Ophelia Pain so far, showing off her skills as a high-flyer.
Ophelia grabs Young and hits him with a knee to the head, followed by another... still holding Young, she takes him to her corner and tags in Tommy Kain. Kain comes in and kicks Young in the side a few times before Ophelia lets go and returns to the apron. Kain locks up with Young and whips him to the ropes-- but Young hangs on to the top rope, reaches over and quickly tags in Corey Moon.
Zach Davis: Moondog and Kain back in the ring together, locking up-- Corey Moon gets Kain in a side headlock, charges forward as Kain struggles...
Shannan Lerch: Woah, running bulldog by Corey Moon!
Moondog runs to the ropes, and as Kain gets up--
Zach Davis: Springboard leg lariat! Quick cover!
Shannan Lerch: Tommy Kain kicks out!
Zach Davis: This match could really go either way at this point, strong showings by both teams.
Kain shakes it off and gets back to his feet, as Corey Moon is right there grabbing for him. Kain resists as Moon keeps trying to get ahold of him, eventually he does and brings Kain down hard with a jawbreaker.
Shannan Lerch: Ouch, Tommy Kain on the mat holding his face now, clearly in agony.
Zach Davis: It looks like Corey Moon is gonna... yes, he makes the tag to Adam Young.
Young comes in, looking to finish this thing. He runs towards Kain and takes him down with a running forearm. He grabs Kain off the mat and gets behind him, positioning him...
Zach Davis: Young's got Tommy Kain locked in that abdominal stretch.
As Kain yells in pain, Young pulls the hold tighter. Kain tells the ref he's not giving up.
Shannan Lerch: Kain is inching towards the ropes, he really needs to break this hold or he might be forced to submit.
Kain shuffles his feet towards the ropes a couple inches at a time. Young is able to bring him back an inch or two, but Kain seems to be getting some momentum as the crowd starts to get behind Kain. After a minute or so, Young seems to say "forget it" and just lets go of the hold, but doesnt let go of Kain completely--
Zach Davis: German suplex! Tommy Kain is in trouble!
Shannan Lerch: Here's the cover by Young...
Zach Davis: Kain gets a shoulder up, he's still in this thing!
Young gets a crazed look in his eye, waiting for Kain to get back to his feet...Young goes for the Redemption (super kick), but Kain dives out of the way and tags in Ophelia Pain!
The crowd pops for the quick turn of events.
Before Young can realize what's going on, Ophelia comes off the top turnbuckle with a reverse crossbody. Young hits the mat hard--
Zach Davis: Ophelia Pain follows up with a standing shooting star press! She hooks the leg!
Zach Davis: Adam Young kicks out!
Shannan Lerch: I thought it was over, what a beautifully executed move by the WCF newcomer.
Ophelia grabs Young off the mat, walking him over to her corner where Kain is on the apron. She positions Young against the top turnbuckle, with Kain standing by to make sure he can't move.
Zach Davis: Ophelia going to the opposite corner of the ring... what is this?
Ophelia stands across the ring at the opposite turnbuckle with the horns in the air before she performs a front handspring across the ring, wrapping her ankles around her opponents neck, pulling them over her body, and then choking them out with her insanely strong legs.
Shannan Lerch: That's her finisher, the Spookshow Thriller!
Zach Davis: What a move, and Adam Young is tapping out! It's over!
DING DING DING
"Fall Back Down" by Rancid plays over the PA.
Zach Davis: What an impressive debut by Ophelia Pain, and of course a great night for Tommy Kain as well!
Shannan Lerch: I see a bright future ahead for Ophelia Pain.
Ophelia Pain and Tommy Kain celebrate in the ring and play to the crowd as they pop. Young and Moondog head towards the exit as we go to commercial.
"Reach and touch faith" screams over the speakers as Marilyn Mansons' "Personal Jesus" plays. Outcast walks out of the backstage onto the ramps as Jeff Hardy style explosions goes off.
Zach Davis: Here comes the Hall of Famer himself.... here is Outcast!
Your own, personal Jesus
Outcast walks down the ramp to a mixed reaction, mostly boos now. He stops half way down the ramp and raises his right arm slowly up the the hair with his hand open, then slowly closes it to make a fist. He continues to walk down the ramp. He walks to some ring side fans and points to his NCW shirt. He trades words with the fans then gives them the finger and turns around to walk up the stairs leading to the ring. He slowly gets into the ring and walks to the middle. He looks around the arena slowly, then walks to his respective corner and sits on the top turnbuckle.
Shannan Lerch: Next, his parter, Hank Lane.
Zach Davis: Rumor has it that you've been asking Lane to give you a moustache ride?
Shannan Lerch: ...no way.
'Riding The Storm Out' by REO Speedwagon begins playing on the Jumbo-Tron as Hank 'Thunder' Lane makes his way towards the ring. He is wearing a long Satin robe with Thunder on the back of it in Diamonds. As he passes by the announcers table he grabs a mic from one of them and takes it into the ring with him.
Hank 'Thunder' Lane: Now I want ALL of you Fat, Disgusting, Out of shape worthless pieces of crap to close your eyes while I take my robe off! Your eyes don't deserve to gaze upon a body as fine as this!
He throws the mic down and takes his robe off. His Muscular body is glistened with sweat and shines under the light. He has on a pair of Black wrestling trunks with Thunder on the back of them. The crowd is a mixture of cheers and boos as he awaits his opponents.
Zach Davis: Next, the King of the Jobbers himself, Joel Hall!
The arena goes dark. Suddenly, a voice can be heard.
"This is the year where hope fails you
Pulse of the Maggots by Slipknot is blasted through the arena. The crowd cheers as the intro of the song is played. Pyro is blasted on stage, which causes the lights to come back on. Out from backstage, Joel Hall comes out. He is wearing a black trenchcoat and a random kabuki mask. He looks around the arena.
"I fight for the unconventional
Joel walks down the ramp and looks straight ahead at the ring. He stops and looks back at the stage.
"We, we are the new diabolic
Then, Joel jumps on the canvas and rolls over the ropes, entering the ring. He takes his mask off and throws it into the crowd. He goes onto each turnbuckle and looks at the crowd.
"I won't, be the inconsequential
At the final turnbuckle, after looking at the crowd, he raises his right arm with a devil horns sign. He gets off and takes his trenchcoat off. He does some stretches.
Shannan Lerch: And now his partner, Kamen Rider Subarashi. Can he trust Hall?
The arena lights go dark. "Kamen Rider Black" is blasted through the arena. Suddenly, pyro is blasted on stage. Kamen Rider Subarashi is standing on the stage, hands on hips. The crowd starts to cheer. He walks down the ramp, giving high fives to the members of the crowd. In the middle of the ramp, he starts jogging on the spot. In a few seconds, he runs to the ring. Reaching the ring, he high jumps over the ropes, landing in the center of the ring on his feet. He climbs up the turnbuckle and looks at the crowd. He raises his arm. He gets off and performs a kata. Then, he warms up.
Zach Davis: The bell sounds.... here we go.
Hank Lane starts the match for his team; Joel Hall for his. Hall approaches Lane, and Lane signals for a test of strength. Hall looks at him like he's crazy and goes for a Dropkick instead. Lane sidesteps it at the last moment, and as Hall gets back up, Lane hits him with a forearm to the head and then a vicious Snap Suplex.
Shannan Lerch: Yeahh, no one in their right mind would engage in a Test of Strength with Hank Lane.
Hank stomps at Hall a few times before lifting him up and throwing Hall's arm over his shoulder; Lane then executes a Vertical Suplex. He stomps at Xtreme Fear a few times before putting him in an Armbar.
Zach Davis: Hank Lane, firmly in control.
However, Kamen Rider Subarashi isn't going to just let this go. He Springboards into the ring with a kick to Lane, breaking up the Arm Bar before retreating back to the apron. Lane gets up and goes over to him, yelling at him; this allows Hall to roll Lane up from behind!
Lane escapes from it just in time. Angry, Lane goes for a Clothesline. Hall ducks it and kicks Lane in the gut before hitting an Underhook Powerbomb!
Shannan Lerch: Great move, ouch.
Hall falls on top of Lane, pinning him again.
Again, Lane kicks out. Hall picks Lane up but Lane shoves him away. He then tags in Outcast.
Zach Davis: Oh damn. Here comes Outcast!
Outcast steps into the ring and goes toe to toe with Hall. The two stare into each other's eyes for several moments.
Shannan Lerch: These two fought to a no contest at Ultimate Showdown.... there is a lot to prove between them!
Hall and Outcast begin brawling, trading rights and lefts! Nothing pretty about these shots to one another. Outcast comes away with the upper hand, hitting a few shots in a row to Hall before throwing him to the ropes. As Hall comes back, Outcast hits a Drop Toe Hold. Hall stumbles up and gets hit with a big Belly to Belly Suplex!
Zach Davis: Outcast just threw him half way across the ring!
The downside is that Hall is able to tag in Kamen Rider Subarashi. Subarashi comes in and ducks a strike from Outcast before hitting him with a few martial arts style kicks to Outcast's right leg.
Shannan Lerch: Subarashi is chopping Outcast down like a tree here.
Zach Davis: That metaphor would've been better for a Buzzsaw Bundy match.
Once Outcast is down to one knee, Subarashi runs at him and executes a Hurricanrana... but Outcast manages to drive him into the mat mid move with a Powerbomb!
Shannan Lerch: DAMN! That sure backfired.
Oucast drops down and pins Subarashi.
No, Hall enters the ring and breaks it up with a stiff kick to the back of Outcast's head.
Zach Davis: That may've knocked him out!
Outcast's eyes glaze over as he drops to the mat. Hall grabs Subarashi and throws him on Outcast for the pin.
Lane enters the ring now, grabbing Subarashi and pulling him off. He then pulls Outcast to their corner and tags himself in.
Shannan Lerch: Hank Lane once again the active man!
Hank Lane comes in as Subarashi is struggling up. He grabs him and positions him for a Piledriver.
Zach Davis: Here comes one of the deadliest moves in wrestling, unless Subarashi can get out of it!
But no, he can't, and Lane drives Subarashi into the mat! He holds his neck in pain before Lane drops down and pins him.
No! Subarashi gets his leg on the ropes!
Shannan Lerch: SO CLOSE! A lucky break there for Subarashi and Hall.
Hall backs up and waits for Subarashi to get back to his feet... Hall runs at him and hits a super powerful Clothesline.
Zach Davis: THUNDER LANE! He just about took Subarashi's head off!
Lane pins him once more in the center of the ring.
Shannan Lerch: Hank Lane is victorious in his return match!
Hall gets his arm raised before sliding out of the ring. Things aren't solved between Outcast and Hall, however; those two begin brawling in the middle of the ring.
Zach Davis: Someone get security out here and break this up!
Indeed, security storms the ring as we go to commercial.
“The End of Heartache” by Killswitch Engage hits the speakers as Ryan Pugh walks out, escorted by Sarah Pugh. Ryan walks down the ramp and climbs up the stairs. He pulls up the middle rope as Sarah climbs into the ring. Ryan steps over the top rope and into the ring. Sarah poses in the center as the fans catcall to her.
The lights dim down as the intro of "Taken For Granted" begins to fill the arena.
"I will do anything
Out steps "Young K" Christopher Kane with a wide smile on his face, very excited to get the reaction he's getting. The lights come back on as he hurries to the ring slapping hands along the way. Chris hops up onto the apron and goes to the nearest turnbuckle going to the top to raise his arm, index finger too, into the air. He then jumps down into the ring with a roll before jumping to his feet ready to wrestle.
Sarah climbs out of the ring as the referee signals for the bell to start this match-up.
Shannan Lerch: Either one of these men have the opportunity to fight for the People’s championship if they win this match. A belt that has had only a couple of champions since its reinstatement in WCF.
Ryan walks towards the center of the ring with a cocky look on his face at the much smaller Christopher Kane. Kane seems to not notice the size difference as he walks up defiantly. Ryan reaches out and palms Kane’s face and shoves him backwards. The crowd boos as Kane gets up with an angry look on his face.
Kane runs at Pugh who swings an arm out to catch him but Kane ducks, jumps onto the middle rope and springboards backwards with an elbow to the back of Pugh, staggering him forward pretty hard. Pugh runs at Kane who runs towards Pugh and ducks again, then springboards off the middle rope once more and nails a big kick to the head of Pugh sending him to the mat. The crowd pops as Kane bounces off the nearby ropes and hits a dropkick on Pugh as he sits up, nailing him right in the face and sending him to his back again.
Pugh is pissed off and he gets up to his feet. Kane hits Pugh with a flurry of kicks and just manages to duck Pugh as he reaches for him and delivers a couple of more quick kicks to Ryan before running across the ring. Kane bounces off the ropes and as he comes back, he goes for a cross body block, but Ryan is ready for him and grins as he catches him and swings him around to hit a devastating sidewalk slam.
Kane quickly gets up but is put back down on the mat by Pugh. Kane irish whipped into the corner. He tries to run out of the corner, but Pugh tosses him backwards into the turnbuckle. Once more Kane tries to get out of the corner and is sent back to it again. Pugh in and delivers a knee to Kane who falls to the mat. Pugh picks Kane up and irish whips him across the ring. Kane grabs the top rope and spins between it and the middle rope and lands on the apron outside. Pugh runs at Kane who springboards off the top rope and puts Pugh down with a dropkick. Kane goes to the outside once more as Pugh gets up. Kane leaps off for a hurracanrana but Pugh catches him and powerbombs Young K to the mat as the crowd boos. Pugh covers him.
Pugh takes his time gloating to the fans before picking up Christopher Kane. Pugh irish whips Kane across the ring. Kane bounces off, Pugh goes to grab him but Kane leaps up onto Pugh’s shoulders. Pugh looks like he’s going to wheelbarrow Kane, but Kane reaches up as he comes up into the air and bulldogs Pugh to the mat.
Kane jumps up and springboards, hitting a beautiful asai moonsault, holding onto the cover.
1…kick out with force as Pugh bench presses Kane into the air. Kane lands on his feet like a cat and runs up behind Pugh as he sits up and snapmares him violently. Kane runs across the ring and baseball slides into the face of Pugh as he tries to sit up once more.
Pugh is getting up and Kane runs at him and dives, dropkicking Pugh in the knee. Pugh rolls around on the mat holding his knee and Kane stomps away at the knee of the big man, trying to take away the size advantage. Kane gets up and Pugh slowly gets to his feet with help from the ropes. Kane goes for a kick but Pugh grabs his foot. Kane grins as he jumps up and nails a big enziguri on Pugh, putting him on the mat.
Pugh starts getting up when Kane runs and nails a huge Shining Wizard to Pugh. Referee slides into place as Kane covers him.
1..2…Pugh barely kicks out!
Zach Davis: What is it going to take to put Pugh away? Kane has pretty much dominated but the size advantage is just getting to Kane.
Kane grabs Pugh and picks him up and signals for the Lighting Spiral. He goes to pick up Pugh, but the man is too big for him and Pugh starts hitting him with forearms until Kane is on the mat. Pugh stomps away at Kane who still manages to get up using the ropes. Pugh irish whips Kane who bounces off the opposite ropes. Pugh ducks and Kane flips over him, going for a sunset flip. Pugh has just enough energy to not be pulled over into the pin attempt. He finally jumps into the air to land on Kane’s chest, but Kane slips out of the way and Pugh lands on his ass. Kane runs and bounces off the ropes facing Pugh and before he can get up, dropkicks him in the face, putting him on his back. Kane runs to the nearby turnbuckle, scales it quickly and nails a perfect 450 splash onto Pugh.
Shannan Lerch: Christopher Kane does it. Don't believe it.
Zach Davis: He's THE youngest rookie in the company, and he just won himself a contendership shot!
"With Oden by Our Side." hits the PA system.
Shannan Lerch: Here we go again.
Zach Davis: The big man is out commin out here. Explaining doesnt even to describe what he owes the fans.
Shannan Lerch: A refund for starters, then an apology.
Zach Davis: yah, you're tellin me.
Odin climbs into the ring and gets a microphone.
Odin Balfore: An explanation is what you're lookin for. Well, here what you do. You go out those doors, down the street, go down to the police station and ask for some justice. Ask for justice but you won't get it. There is no justice with Odin Balfore.
you see, it dawned on me that I don't need the WCF world title. I don't need The Odin Balfore invitational. I don't need those things, they need me. Just like WCF. I don't need WCF, but it needs me. Case in point The Alliance, failure, all of them. They let me down each an every week almost since the day they started. They Held me down. I'm not second fiddle to no one. everyone is below me, always an forever.
That brings me to point number two. I'm not the only one thats going through this. Seth Lerch, the boss has been let down by each an everyone of his TOS cronies. So he reached out to me to send them a message, Just like I sent Steve Orbit a message, boot after boot. FPV, thank Seth Lerch. Thank him, but more importantly, thank yourself. You stepped up to the plate an failed to make a name for yourself except for this right here.
You FPV, you'll be example number one of what happens when you cross the two most powerful men in WCF. You get snuffed out. Now if you wana try an be a big man, the one thing that you haven't been as of.. well, ever, then you can step your ass into this ring and take whats coming to you. Whats it gonna be FPV? actually, ya know what? I'll make it simple for ya.
Odin drops the mic and leaves the ring.
Shannan Lerch: Where is he going?
Zach Davis: I don't know. I think He's going to find FPV.
Shannan Lerch: thats.. not good.
Kyle Steel: The following contest is set for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit. There will be a special guest referee for this match.
Johnny Stylez, wearing a striped jersey and smoking some suspicious smelling herb, saunters down to the ring to “Cold” by Crossfade
Zach Davis: Johnny Stylez is sitting in the proverbial catbird seat tonight. He gets to officiate a match involving the man he will be facing at Revenge for the Internet Championship.
Shannan Lerch: Talk about a conflict of interest! The “Don of Disrespect” has a chance to stick it to the Scoutmaster tonight.
Kyle Steel: The first match participant hails from Staten Island, New York, and weighs in at 238 pounds. He is “Black Charisma” Michael Santiago!
Santiago makes his entrance to Saliva’s “King of My World”
Shannan Lerch: This is Michael Santiago’s first singles match in WCF in a good while. It’s something I know he’s been looking forward to.
Zach Davis: He’s been wanting the chance to prove himself as a solo wrestler, and the way his stable, The Perfect Alliance, is crumbling, that may be a smart career move.
Kyle Steel: And his opponent, from Grant, Iowa, weighing 270 pounds, the WCF Internet Champion Stuart Slane!
Scoutmaster marches down to “Follow Me, Boys!” by The Sherman Brothers
Zach Davis: The Scoutmaster is staring daggers at Johnny Stylez. The man is pissed.
Shannan Lerch: He’s always mad about something.
Stylez stubs out his cig and tells both men to meet in the middle of the ring. He says something off color to Slane, and then raises his hand to call for the bell. Scoutmaster immediately begins shouting and pointing at Santiago.
Zach Davis: What’s going on here?
Slane continues to pitch a fit, gesturing at “Black Charisma” and yelling at Johnny Stylez.
Shannan Lerch: He’s telling Stylez to pat Michael Santiago down.
Johnny can’t believe it. He tugs on the front of his referee’s jersey to remind Slane who exactly is in charge of the match. Stuart folds his arms across his chest and shakes his head, refusing to compete until Santi is searched. For his part, “Black Charisma” simply shrugs to the crowd and pantomimes checking his watch.
Zach Davis: Slane is refusing to fight.
Shannan Lerch: What a big baby. I feel sorry for Michael Santiago. It’s not enough the poor guy has to deal with the infighting going on in the Alliance; now he’s caught up in the acrimony between the Internet Champ and his next challenger.
Zach Davis: Acrimony?
Shannan Lerch: It was my ‘Word of the Day’.
Having enough of the Scoutmaster’s bullshit, Johnny Stylez flips him off and motions to the timekeeper. The bell rings, and Santiago charges Slane. Catching the bigger man flatfooted, he forces Slane back with multiple forearm strikes. Scoutmaster, struggling to protect himself, ducks between the ropes. Santi backs off. Stylez orders Scoutmaster out of his corner.
Zach Davis: Stuart Slane is lucky “Black Charisma” followed the rules of a rope break on his own because it didn’t look like Johnny Stylez had any intentions of enforcing it.
Shannan Lerch: Stylez is the referee of the match, Zach. He can interpret the rules as he sees fit.
Slane slowly steps away from the ringpost. He gives Stylez an angry glare before turning his attention back to Santiago. The two lock up. Slane gets the advantage and puts Santi in a wristlock. The wily vet frees himself by kicking Scoutmaster in the back of the knee. When Slane’s leg buckles, Santiago twists and turns and puts Slane down with a neckbreaker.
Zach Davis: Michael Santiago countered that nicely.
Shannan Lerch: The man’s a dangerous opponent no matter what his current WCF record says.
Santi sits Scoutmaster up and locks in a shoulder hold. He keeps the pressure on while Slane struggles to stand. Just as Scoutmaster gets his feet under him a knee to the back of his head puts him back on the mat. Santi transitions the shoulder hold to a standing surfboard, bending both of Stuart’s arms back while his knee presses into his spine. Scoutmaster hollers in pain but shakes his head no when Stylez asks if he quits. After several moments it appears that Scoutmaster may power out. Black Charisma lets go, runs the ropes, and lays Slane flat on his back with a clothesline. One! Slane kicks out.
Shannan Lerch: Michael Santiago is looking good so far tonight.
Zach Davis: You know the man is motivated. After a month of floundering in the tag division its clear Michael Santiago is happy getting the chance to show what he can do on his own.
Santi pulls Slane up and is quickly shoved away by the larger man. Scoutmaster charges and tries for a huge clothesline, misses, and rebounds off the ropes. Santi hits the ropes on the other side and comes back at him. When the two collide its Black Charisma who bears the worst of it. Slane then scoops Santiago up and slams him to the canvass. He follows that up with an elbow drop. Cover. One! Santi kicks out. Slane turns to Stylez and yells at him. Stylez yells back and points at Black Charisma.
Zach Davis: The Scoutmaster and Johnny Stylez are still sniping with each other.
Shannan Lerch: My guess is they’ll be doing more than that before this match is over.
Keeping Michael grounded, Slane applies a chinlock. Santi, trying to escape, throws his elbow back and catches Scoutmaster flush in the eye. The Internet Champ yelps and lets go, rolling away from Santiago. Scoutmaster then jumps to his feet and, one hand over his eyesocket, uses to other to point at Santiago. He orders Stylez to disqualify him.
Shannan Lerch: Jeez, Scoutmaster is complaining about everything tonight.
Zach Davis: I agree. The elbow to the eye was an accident on Black Charisma’s part. He may deserve a warning for it, but not a disqualification.
As the fans jeer the latest delay in the action, Stylez is making the same point to Slane in the ring, albeit far more colorfully. Meanwhile Michael Santiago, fed up, comes behind Slane and catches him in a roll up. One! Two! Slane reverses the pile. One! Two! Santi kicks out. The Scoutmaster scurries out of the ring on his hands and knees. Once he’s outside he begins screaming at Stylez. He slaps the ring apron three times to demonstrate what he feels should be the appropriate speed Johnny should be counting at.
Zach Davis: This is getting ridiculous.
Shannan Lerch: It involves the Scoutmaster and one of the Misfitz. Of course it’s going to be ridiculous.
Stylez rolls out of the ring and gets in Slane’s beet-red face. He orders Scoutmaster back inside. Slane says no and pokes Stylez repeatedly in the chest. Johnny, having had enough, puts Slane in a standing side headlock. He drags him back to the ring apron, and pushes him inside.
Shannan Lerch: Yay! Hurray for Johnny Srtylez exerting his authority!
Zach Davis: You and the fans might love it, Shannan, but I’m not so such the WCF Rules Committee will.
Shannan Lerch: The ‘who’ now?
Scoutmaster lumbers to his feet, apoplectic with rage. He turns and walks right into a superkick from Michael Santiago!
Shannan Lerch: The Fault Line!!
Big pop from the crowd! Santi hooks Slane’s leg for the cover. Stylez slides back to the ring and makes the count. One! Two! Then he pauses.
Zach Davis: What in the world?
A murmur of confusion ripples through the arena. Santiago almost releases the cover on Slane, anticipating he’s won. When he looks to Stylez to see the reason for the delay, he sees the Don of Disrespect grinning evily.
Shannan Lerch: Johnny Stylez isn’t making the “Three” count. But why?
Zach Davis: I get it. I get it! Stylez wants Slane worn out, not counted out!
Stylez stands and takes a couple steps back. Now it’s Michael Santiago’s turn to jump up and go nose to nose with the special guest referee.
Shannan Lerch: Ooooo! Black Charisma is sexy when he’s mad!
Scoutmaster, having finally recovered from taking Santi’s finisher, gets up woozy. Santiago pivots and connects with a spinning heel kick. Slane is able to remain on his feet, but the force of the shot turns him away. Moving closer, Michael Santiago gets Scoutmaster by the waist and lifts him up into a German suplex with a bridge pin.
Zach Davis: What a display of power by Michael Santiago!
Johnny Stylez, too, is impressed with the effort. He does a golf clap, but nothing else.
Shannan Lerch: Stylez isn’t making the count! He wants this match to continue!
Realizing Stylez isn’t honoring the pin, Michael releases the bridge. He rolls to his feet and again gets in Johnny’s grill. Santiago shoves him. Stylez, enraged, kicks Santiago in the gut, grabs his hair, twists him into a reverse DDT position, lifts him up over his shoulder, and hits a stunner!
Shannan Lerch: Holy Carp! Johnny Stylez just destroyed Michael Santiago with The Curtain Jerker!
Santiago is indeed down. Slane, still in a daze, raises his head. Seeing Santi sprawled out, he crawls to him and drapes an arm over his chest. Stylez grimly makes the count. One! Two! Three! The crowd boos in outrage as the bell is finally won and Scoutmaster’s theme is played.
Kyle Steel: Here is your winner, “The Scoutmaster” Stuar-ooof!
Immediately after calling for the bell, Johnny Stylez rolls out of the ring and pushes past the ring announcer. He grabs the Internet Title from the timekeeper’s table and goes back inside. He waits in one corner for Slane to stand. When the Scoutmaster rises on his wobbly legs, Johnny charges and creams him with the belt!
Zach Davis: Oh, man!
Shannan Lerch: I guess Johnny Stylez wanted in on the fun.
When Slane drops, Stylez mounts him and begins punching away. He takes the Title and grinds it in Scoutmaster’s bloody face. Santiago, meanwhile, has rolled out of the ring and is being helped to the back. Finally, Johnny gets up and stands triumphantly over the broken body of Scoutmaster.
Zach Davis: The Scoutmaster may be an uptight jerk, but I’m not sure he deserved that.
Shannan Lerch: Sure he did. That jag-off gave me a Demerit Badge for my commentary, I say let him suffer.
Zach Davis: We all suffer when your commentary is involved.
The last shot of Slam before commercial is Johnny Stylez holding the crimson stained Internet Title over his head.
Shannan Lerch: Orbit versus Blake coming up….RIGHT NOW!
Zach Davis: You seem excited about this one, Shannan.
Shannan Lerch: I just like to see stable implode from the inside. Dumb move by The Alliance turning on Steve Orbit. Orbit’s a star in the making.
Zach Davis: Well technically it was only Balfore who turned…
Shannan Lerch: DON’T CARE ZACH! I’M TEAM ORBIT!
"To be Loved" by Papa Roach starts playing and there are a spot light on the stage. Some fans boo some cheer. Ryan Blake steps on the stage of the arena and begins to run down the ramp. He then slides on his stomach into the ring, then comes to his feet. He walks to the far turnbuckle steps on the first rope and raises his arms to the fans and bounces on the rope. He then does the same on the opposite corner turnbuckle.
Zach Davis: Well, there is Ryan Blake representing The Alliance.
He’ll be looking to pick up this victory on behalf of Balfore.
Shannan Lerch: No chance.
"Flashlight" by Parlaiment Funkadellic plays over the PA. The arena goes dark and a pink strobe light flashes throughout the arena. Small pink lights swirl around the crowd and the entire arena and eventually converge into one big pink spotlight as "The Mack" Steve Orbit and Golden Joey appear at the top of the aisle. Steve walks ahead of Golden Joey, talking to girls who mostly give him disgusted looks, which he is oblivious to and continues blowing kisses and making rude, sexual comments. At ringside he begins the process of taking off whatever pimp attire he is wearing that night, whether its a mink coat, designer suit, etc and always hands his gold chains and his hat to Golden Joey. His in-ring attire consists of black spandex shorts with "Pimpin" on the back in pink, and pink boots. He has a body that resembles a model more than a wrestler, he is perfectly chiseled and cut, but he is not huge and muscular like some wrestlers. He continues to "flirt" with the girls in the crowd as he enters the ring. When he hits the ring he raises the US Title in the air and smiles nods as the crowd mostly boos, with a small section of Orbit fans cheering him on.
Shannan Lerch: Regardless of how it all turned out, I think it was a great career move for Orbit to no longer be affiliated with The Alliance.
Zach Davis: I don’t know, Shannan. Those are four individuals I don’t think I’d want to be looking over my shoulder for.
Shannan Lerch: Oh, whatever. This match is about to start!
Ding, Ding, Ding
Orbit and Blake circle each other, eyeing one another up. Both men move in at the same time and lock up before Blake gains the advantage with a side headlock. Orbit counters with a few elbows to the side of Blake and he slips out of the headlock. Orbit swings at Blake, connecting a few right hands, but it’s not enough to deter Ryan Blake who responds with a few punches of his own.
Shannan Lerch: The Ryan Blake with the advantage over the non-Ryan Blake.
Zach Davis: …
Shannan Lerch: I always wanted to say that. Sorry.
Orbit counters Blake with a sweeping left hook and then follows it up with a big right and he's now in control. He grabs hold of Blake and leads him over toward the corner before pushing him into it. Orbit with a few quick chops to the chest and then he climbs up to the second turnbuckle. With a look out at the crowd he begins pummeling away at Blake’s head.
Shannan Lerch: Yeah, beat some sense into that man!
Zach Davis: The Ryan Blake has more sense than all non-Ryan Blake’s combined.
Shannan Lerch: Shut up Zach!
Orbit raises his fist for another strike when from out of nowhere Blake grabs him by the legs, lifts him up and then takes him down with a spinebuster. With Orbit on the ground Blake drops a knee over his chest and then a leg over his throat before spinning back to his feet.
Zach Davis: Ryan Blake in full control right here. Somewhere Odin Balfore is watching this one intently. No doubt he wants to see his Alliance brethren crush Steve Orbit once and for all.
Blake waits for Orbit as he slowly rises to his feet. He runs straight at Orbit who quickly executes a drop toe hold that sends Blake face first into the top turnbuckle. Blake hits and staggers backward and Orbit grabs him by the back of the head before taking him to the mat with a spinning neckbreaker. Orbit now goes to the corner and hops to the top rope. Ryan Blake begins to get back up and just as he does Orbit flies off the top rope hitting Blake with a missile drop kick. Orbit pounces on Blake for the first cover of the match.
Zach Davis: Ryan Blake kicks out!
Shannan Lerch: Just barely! Only a matter of time until Orbit finishes him off.
Orbit rolls off of Blake and gets to his feet. Orbit sends a few quick stomps to the back of Ryan Blake before he pulls him to his feet and whips him into the ropes. Blake comes back and Orbit is about to go for a back body drop. Blake sees it coming and hops over Orbit, hits the ropes on the other side, and comes back looking for a clothesline.
Shannan Lerch: ORBIT DUCKS THE CLOTHESLINE!
Blake spins back around and Orbit catches him just under the chin with a spinning heel kick. Blake hits the mat and Orbit again goes for the pin attempt.
Ryan Blake kicks out.
Zach Davis: This match certainly isn’t going well for Ryan Blake.
Shannan Lerch: I expected nothing less Zach. Orbit has that effect on people.
Orbit gets back up to his feet, pulling Blake up with him. Orbit again shoots Blake into the ropes and when he comes back, Orbit slaps on a sleeper hold. The referee moves in to check in on Blake who waves him off. Blake tries to reach out for the ropes but he's dead center in the ring. Blake slowly but surely begins moving his entire body, as well as Steve Orbit’s, to the ropes.
Zach Davis: Can he make it to the ropes?
Shannan Lerch: ….no.
Blake is slowly starting to fade and he drops to the mat on one knee as Orbit continues to apply pressure. The referee moves in, checks in on Blake and then raises his arm in the air. The referee lets go and the arm falls limp. The referee lifts it up once more and then let's go. The arm limply falls to the side.
Shannan Lerch: Put this one in the books, Zach. The Alliance fails to stop Steve Orbit.
The referee raises it a third and final time and let’s go. The arm doesn’t move. It stays straight into the air. Feeling some momentum Ryan Blake rises from his kneeling position and quickly sends and elbow into Steve Orbit’s stomach, ending the hold. Blake turns and connects with an uppercut, followed by two strikes to the chest backing Orbit into the corner.
Zach Davis: Life from Ryan Blake! He has Steve Orbit reeling already!
Blake grabs hold of Orbit’s arm to whip him across the ring, but the hold is reversed, and it’s Ryan Blake that runs the distance of the ring before slamming his back into the turnbuckle. Steve Orbit has run behind him and splashes his body weight into Blake. Blake is jarred out of the corner where Orbit delivers a backhand slap followed by a jawbreaker!
Shannan Lerch: THE PIMP SLAP!
Zach Davis: Wow, what a turn of events from Steve Orbit!
Orbit quickly hops to the top rope and with Blake lying motionless on the canvas, ‘The Mack’ hits him with a sunset flip.
Shannan Lerch: AND NOW BIG PIMPIN’!!
Zach Davis: Orbit’s hooked the leg for the cover!
Shannan Lerch: Ring the bell! Steve Orbit is the winner!
Zach Davis: I have to give it to him; he won this one in dominating fashion. Steve Orbit is sending a message to Odin Balfore and his Revenge opponent Johnny Reb tonight.
Steve Orbit rises back to his feet and the referee holds his hand in the air as Ryan Blake lies motionless on the mat.
Tek is getting ready for his match against Eric. He grabs his tag team belt and is grabbing his mask for the match. Then he hears a voice from the mask.
Mask: It’s almost time for you to show the world how much of a loser you really are. You excited to show the world that you can’t beat Eric Price alone?
Tek finds the mask and picks it up and looks at it.
Tek: I’m sick of you Lycanus! I was going to wear the mask with the Tv title on it to the ring but you are on my last nerve. I am going to wear you to the ring so you can see 1st hand me beat Eric.
Mask: Really? You think you’re going to beat Eric? The Flyers have a better chance of beating the Celtics in the playoffs. In fact there are better odds in Las Vegas that the world will end this year than you winning a singles title.
Tek: Shut up!!! Let’s go I am going to take the title away tonight and I can only hope that will shut you up.
Tek puts the mask on and walks out of his locker room and the mask is still giving him a hard time by saying”Fluke, failure.” The mask is making it known that it doesn’t believe in Tek. Tek is on his way to the ramp as the camera does a wide shot and they see Cash with a confuse look on his face. He looks in the area Tek went to and than looks into his locker room and sees nobody and then looks back to where Tek went.
Waylon Cash: Wow.
Kyle Steel: This match is scheduled for one fall, and if for the WCF Television Championship!
The lights in the arena go out and stage and ramp area start to fill with fog. Then “Devastating Stereo” plays. When the lights come on Tek is already in the ring and is on a knee pointing to the sky. Tek gets up and walks to the ring ropes and leans up against the ropes.
Suddenly Tek's music cuts off, and is replaced by “You Know My Name”. Eric Price slowly struts out onto the entrance ramp, Television title slung over his shoulder.
Shannan Lerch: This should be a very interesting match. Eric is the defending V champ, and Tek is one half of the tag team champions. These two men have certainly proven that they're no slouches in the ring.
Erice climbs into the ring, and holds his title aloft as a chorus of booing fills the arena. He smiles at the greeting as he hand his belt to the referee. His music quiets down, allowing Kyle steel to step up on do the ring introductions.
Kyle Steel: standing to my right is tonight's challenger. He hails from Santa Monica California. He stands six feet, two inches tall, and weighs in at one hundred and sixty-five pounds. This is TEK!
Tek raises his fist in the air as the fans cheer loudly for him.
Zach Davis: Tek won a lot of fans over with the astounding performance in his losing effort against Waylon Cash. Could he be able to use that as a platform to catapult himself into the TV champ's spot?
Kyle Steel: And standing to my left, he hails from Pacific Palisades, California. He stands six feet, four inches tall, and weighs in at two hundred and fifty pounds. He is your World Television Champion, Eric Price!
The crowd boos loudly as Eric stares down Tek. The two men step to the center of the ring, and glare at each other as the ref explains the rules. As soon as the bell rings, both men begin trading furious punches.
Shannan Lerch: We're off to a roaring start here. Neither f these two men seem to have any interest in starting out slowly, or measuring their opponent.
Eric being the stronger one, eventually back Tek into a corner. He whips him into the opposite turnbuckle, and comes charging after him. Tek runs up the ropes, and does a backflip over Eric's head, before grabbing his waist, and rolling him up in a quick pin.
Eric kicks out! Price hops up, and Tek runs across the ring. He bounces off the second rope, going for an Asai Moonsault, but Eric sidesteps it, and allows Tek to come crashing to the mat. Eric wastes no time in dropping a few big elbows across Tek's back.
Zach Davis: Price really going to work on the ribs of Tek. Perhaps he has a Sharpshooter in the plans?
On the third elbow, he stays on top of Tek, and begins wrenching his neck backwards in a crossface style submission. Tek screams in pain, while reaching out for the bottom rope. It takes a few lunges, but Tek grabs on, and the ref orders Eric to release the hold. Eric does so, but only after a three count. As he's getting to his feet, Eric stomps on Tek's ribs a few times, drawing a scolding from the referee.
Shannan Lerch: Price showing a lack of regard for any type of sportsmanship here. Good move in my opinion.
Eric goes to lift Tek up, but Tek grabs the waist band of the man's trunks and yanks, sending him flying through the ropes, to the concrete below. Eric lays on the ground, dazed, as Tek uses this time to get to his feet. As Eric stands up, Tek bounces off the opposite ropes, and leaps into the air, hitting Price with a front flip plancha. Both men fall to the ground, and lay there as the crowd chants “Holy shit!”
Zach Davis: Tek risking life and limb to get his hands on the TV title!
Shannan Lerch: He wants it, bad!
Tek is the first to stand up, and he brings Eric with him, whipping him into the steel guard rail. Price screams out in pain, as nearby fans chant for Tek. Tek goes to grab Eric, but Price kicks him in the gut, and this him with a quick powerbomb onto the unforgiving ground.
Zach Davis: Jesus Christ! That may be the end of this match!
Price drags the severely injured Tek toward the ring, and rolls him under the bottom rope. Eric follows, and stomps away on Tek's ribs, as the crowd loudly voices their displeasure. Price reaches down to grab his opponents legs, but Tek rolls him up into a surprise pin.
3-No! Eric Price manages to kick out at the last second. Tek still can't stand up, but now Eric is quite angry. He dives on Tek, ramming his elbows into the man's ribcage several times.
Zach Davis: This is unnecessary! Tek's ribs may very well be broken right now!
Price grabs Tek and pulls him into the middle of the ring, wrapping him up in the Sharpshooter.
Shannan Lerch: That is Eric Price's trademark! Tek HAS to tap out!
Tek's eyes show how much pain he's in, especially after all the rib shots. He tries his best to crawl towards the ropes, but Price has the move locked in too well. Tek raises up his hand to tap out...
Zach Davis: Is Tek gonna tap!? I don't recall ever seeing that before!
No! Tek squeezes his fist in determination, shaking his head, refusing to tap. But Eric Price refuses to release the hold. After several more moments, Tek appears to be lifeless. The ref checks on him... and calls for the bell.
Shannan Lerch: Welp, I think Tek passed out from the pain. Eric Price retains his Television Title.
Price stands up, quickly grabbing his Television Title from Kyle Steel and leaving the ring. Medics begin checking on Tek.
Zach Davis: Wow... wow. What a match...
Shannan Lerch: Another classic showing by both men.
Zach Davis: Time for The Team Formerly Known As The DoT versus Deruty and Cash.
An eerie tune begins to play as the lights go dim, a dazzling bright red and purple laser lights show fills the arena. Sounds of children laughing signals the beginning of a gothic techno beat heralding the arrival of Synn. He almost ALWAYS come to the ring through the crowd, usually with a small group of two to four members of Security. Either hopping over the guardrail, or walking through an entry Security makes for him, he cirlces the ring, working the crowd as he does. Stepping up on the ring steps, he blows a massive fireball over the ring. Synn then slowly enters the ring, taking off his non wrestling attire, crouching in the corner staring straight at his opponent like a predator about to pounce on his prey.
Shannan Lerch: Synn is the only man in this match not to have held the World Title, so he counts himself among the best in the WCF in this match.
Misfits “Hybrid Moments” rolls a quick drum and busts out of arena speakers.
Zach Davis: And introducing next, the one and only... The Face of Treachery himself. Here comes Logan.
Logan emerges from the black curtains, quickly coming out and heading down the ramp, hitting ring apron and rolling underneath the bottom rope to pop up onto his feet. The music cuts.
Shannan Lerch: Well, from what I can tell, Logan is "himself" tonight. But from what we've seen recently, his mental state is clearly in question...
The lights in the stadium dim to pitch black Bulletproof by 12 Stones blares in the speakers with lights swinging around the stadium lighting up the darkness from the dimmed lights. In cue with the music, pyros of red, white and blue go off when the sound of BANG!!! from Bulletproof. The pyros continue to go off on cue with the word being said. After the third pyro goes off the lights focus on the entrance of the stage where Donald Deruty is standing with his head tilted down. He falls to his knees and throws his hands up in the air where a final set of multi-colored pyros is fired. At the signal of the final pyros the dimmed lights turn back on and light the whole stadium with red, white, and blue lights. D-Day jumps to his feet as soon as the lights are back on. He takes his time walking down the ramp, as he gives high fives and shakes the hands of the fans. Once he reaches ringside he slowly walks up to the steel steps where he goes one step at a time until he reaches the ropes where he enters the ring with a swaggery hop to his walk. He looks up at the titantron where the sights of his memorial moments in his WCF career can be seen.
Zach Davis: Deruty returned a few short weeks ago to take down Gravedigger! He's been on a roll ever since.
The opening trumpet riff of "White Trash Renegade blares over the PA systems as red and orange strobe lights flash. Suddenly the strobes stop, and Waylon Cash comes running out onto the entrance ramp with the WCF world Heavyweight Championship wrapped around his waist. He runs back and forth, illiciting cheers from the crowd on either side before dancing his way towards the ring, Roxxanne Savage following behind him. Sliding under the bottom rope, Waylon helps his manager in, before running and jumping onto the second turnbuckle. He takes the belt from around his midsection, and holds it high in the air, soaking up the cheering of the fans.
Shannan Lerch: And here is Waylon Cash. A man who has risen through the ranks and made QUITE a name for himself.
Zach Davis: He's also a man that seems to get falsely accused an awful lot, after Synn's allegations last week that Cash is a drug addicted fraud.
Shannan Lerch: Well, eh, knowing Cash, I'm not too sure Synn was very far off...
Zach Davis: The guy just knows how to party!
Shannan Lerch: Don't tell me you're a juggalo.
Meanwhile, the bell has rung. Synn has decided to start for his team, and Cash decides to start for his. Cash runs at Synn and Clotheslines him down.
Zach Davis: Waylon Cash, with a head of steam!
Synn gets back to his feet and runs at Cash, but Cash executes an Arm Drag. Synn gets up once more and Cash fires off a Dropkick but Synn sidesteps it. Cash gets up and is met with an explosive Shining Wizard from Synn out of nowhere!
Shannan Lerch: Ouch! He just took Cash's head off!
Synn pins Cash, hooking the leg.
No!, Cash kicks out. Synn picks Cash up and puts him in a headlock as he goes over to tag in Logan.
Zach Davis: There is no one as decorated in a WCF ring as Logan is.... and here he comes.
The fans cheer for Logan's tag, causing Logan to look slightly annoyed. He quickly climbs to the top and drops a Double Axe Handle onto Cash while he's still in the headlock. Cash falls to the ground as Synn lets go and gets onto the apron. Logan stomps at Cash mercilessly. And doesn't stop.
Shannan Lerch: That's a lot of stomps!
The fans that had at one point cheered the Face of Treachery have grown quiet, getting bored of Logan's stomp attack. And Logan just doesn't stop stomping! The silence from those fans soon turns to booing.
Zach Davis: The fans sure turned on Logan pretty quickly once he decided not to do any flashy moves.
Shannan Lerch: However, those kicks ARE pretty successful, I'd wager; Cash looks like he's hurting.
Logan grabs Cash's legs and pulls him into the middle of the ring. He wraps him up in a Figure Four Leglock.
Zach Davis: Figure Four applied! Cash has to get out of this.
Cash motions to the fans, who quickly begin to give their support; a chant of CASH! CASH! CASH! rings throughout the arena.
Shannan Lerch: Those greedy fans sure want money!
Zach Davis: ...shut up.
Cash begins clawing his way towards the ropes, trying to reach them for the rope break... but right before he does, Logan releases the hold, grabs his legs again and pulls him back to the middle of the ring!
Shannan Lerch: Hah!
The fans begin to boo. Deruty stomps around the apron, wanting to get involved. Cash's face contorts with pain, and Logan simply keeps the Figure Four applied, wearing Cash down. The Hellbilly decides on a new strategy; he starts attempting to turn himself over and reverse the pressure onto Logan.
Zach Davis: Cash is turning... and... there!
Indeed, Cash turns Logan and himself over, and Logan's face is the one in pain now! But it only lasts for a few seconds because Synn immediately enters the ring and kicks Cash, breaking it up.
Zach Davis: Oh come on! Deruty followed the rules this whole time and didn't break Cash out of it, but Synn jumps in just like that!
The ref yells at Synn to get out of the ring. Deruty has had enough; he enters the ring and runs at Synn, Clotheslining him and sending him over the top!
Shannan Lerch: Psht, there you go, Zach.
Both Logan and Cash lay on the mat now, resting; Logan begins getting up first. Logan picks Cash up and goes to throw him to the ropes, but Cash reverses it, sending Logan flying instead. As Logan comes back, Cash hits him with a High Dropkick! Logan hits the mat, then stumbles back up... Cash drops him with a Snap DDT!
Zach Davis: OOF!
Cash quickly pins Logan, hooking the leg.
No! Logan kicks out!
Shannan Lerch: Not quite yet!
Cash begins climbing to the top.
Zach Davis: Waylon Cash going high risk... what does he have in mind?
Cash gets to the top, looks around for a brief second... before flying off with a Swan Dive Headbutt!
Shannan Lerch: Logan rolls out of the way!
Indeed! Cash hits the mat as Logan dives and tags in Synn. Cash gets up and turns around where he's met by Synn, who Springboards over the top rope and hits Cash with his Fractured Mirror move!
Zach Davis: DAMN!
Cash hits the mat and Synn pins him quickly.
No! Cash gets the arm up!
Shannan Lerch: Damnit, Cash, stay down, you drug addict freak!
Zach Davis: Cash is staying alive, but he desperately needs to tag in Donald Deruty here.
Waylon Cash begins crawling towards his corner, where Deruty has his arm outstretched. Synn grabs him, however, and pulls him away. He takes him to the corner and wraps Cash's legs around the ringpost, then applies the Scorpion Deathlock.
Shannan Lerch: Psycho Scorpion applied!
He's applying the Facelock as well, and the ref has begun his count. One... two.... three.... four..... four and a half.... and Synn breaks it up before getting himself disqualified.
Zach Davis: Sadly, the damage may be done here.
Synn pulls Cash into the middle of the ring and begins climbing up to the top.
Shannan Lerch: And now its Synn going high risk this time. Looks like he's ready to put Waylon Cash away!
Synn does a 360 flip, flying off the top.
Zach Davis: Thunderstruck!
But this time it is Waylon Cash that rolls out of the way! Synn hits the mat and Cash dives and tags in Deruty!
Zach Davis: HERE COMES D-DAY!
D-Day enters the ring with a head of steam. Logan steps through the ropes to press the attack, but D-Day hits him with a stiff right hand. Synn is up, Deruty hits him with a Standing Dropkick. Logan has stumbled up, Deruty takes him back down with a Neckbreaker. Synn is back up too, and Deruty nearly decapitates him with a Superkick!
Shannan Lerch: Ugh, hate to say it but Deruty is cleaning house!
Logan has rollen out of the ring. Deruty drops and puts Synn into a Crossface.
Zach Davis: JUSTICE LOCK! JUSTICE LOCK APPLIED!
Logan slides back in and ends up decking the ref right in the back of the head. The ref goes down.
Shannan Lerch: That's my Logan!
Logan starts stomping away at Deruty, who releases the Justice Lock. Cash enters the ring and gets an Impact Style for his troubles!
Zach Davis: Impact Style! Hot damn.
Deruty gets to his feet and throws a wild Clothesline that Logan ducks. He then grabs him in a Sleeper.
Shannan Lerch: Here we go....
Zach Davis: Logan takes D-Day to CONNECTOR CITY!
Logan grabs Synn and throws him on top of Deruty before trying to wake up the ref he attacked mere moments earlier. However, someone else enters the ring.
Shannan Lerch: TEK!?
Zach Davis: How's he even conscious!?
Tek of all people hits Logan right in the head with a chair! But he's not interested in the Face of Treachery. He turns to Synn, his opponent next week at Revenge, and hits him too!
Shannan Lerch: Tek is... vicious! It's like the match earlier tonight woke up something inside of him.
Tek bashes Synn a few times with the chair. Waylon goes to grab Tek and Tek turns and hits him with the chair as well!
Zach Davis: Tek is taking EVERYONE out!
And with that, Tek throws the chair out of the ring and leaves as well, having proven his point. Logan, Synn, and Waylon Cash are all laid out. Deruty stumbles to his feet, surveying the carnage. Logan starts to stumble up,though he's clearly out of it. Deruty hits him with a series of kicks...
Shannan Lerch: D For Destruction! Down goes Logan!
Deruty drops and pins the Face of Treachery, hooking the leg.
Zach Davis: And there you have it!
Deruty checks on Cash to make sure he's okay, and he's just beginning to come to. Logan rolls out of the ring and simply walks to the back, seemingly not caring that he just got attacked, hit in the head, and beaten.
Shannan Lerch: I'm worried about Logan.
Zach Davis: Sometimes I wonder if he's not in the Twilight of his career.
“Night on Bald Mountain” begins to play over the P.A. System, and a hush falls over the crowd, as they have never heard this used as entrance music before. Slowly, the hulking figure that is Scott savage steps out onto the stage to a smattering of boos. He is dressed in a blood red suit, accented by a jet black shirt/tie combo. On his nose are a pair of red tinted glasses. His eyes may be obscured, but the malice in them is still evident. His ebony hair spills over his wide shoulders as he holds the microphone to his lips.
Scott Savage: WCF is quite the colorful little promotion. You've got masked break dancers, pimps, sexual deviants, wrestling preachers and of course *light chuckle * the Church of the Dark Saints. What you don't have is something you desperately need. You, WCF, need something a tad more... infernal. Soon, a black cloud descends. A black cloud that will envelope your entire world, and leave it forever changed. The black cloud is Scott Savage, and the wrestler I bring with me. He is a demon from your past, ready to come back, and destroy everything you hold dear. You might ask why I do this. There is no real reason. I have a lust for power, and victory, that must be quenched. Soon, it will be quenched with the blood of your entire roster.
Scott pauses, allowing the crowd to jeer him loudly. A smile creeps to his face at the noise.
Scott Savage: It doesn't matter to me if you are a “good guy” or a “bad guy”. It means nothing to me whether you're a preacher, the leader of a goofy little cult, or a harmless pot smoking hillbilly. My newest client will be coming for you, and you will not like the result. What the fans can expect to see, very shortly, is the coming of the end. A tornado of chaos that can not, and will not be stopped. Guard your hearts WCF faithful, for the devil is near, and he hungers.
Scott's music begins to play again, as he disappears behind the curtain.
Shannan Lerch: A warning of doom delivered to us from Scott Savage, what do you make of this?
Zach Davis: I'm honestly not sure what to make of it. In an announcement earlier he would only refer to his client as “they”, now he's saying “He”. The only thing we know for sure is that it is a former WCF wrestler, and Scott Savage is commanding them to destroy.
Shannan Lerch: That doesn't narrow it down much.
Zach Davis: And here we go with the People's Title match!
The lights turn to a blood red as the crowd stands up on their feet, as the jazzy horn explosion of "Tank!" plays over the P.A.
Voice: I think it's time we blow this scene, get everybody and their stuff together. Okay, three, two, one let's jam." As the chorus plays over the speakers, out the curtains comes Mr. FPV, signature duster and everything. He plays to excited crowd like the circus ringmaster, fistbumping furiously along with the crowd and the music, and each fistbump triggers an explosion of black pyro from the stage.
FPV takes the walk down the ramp, slapping fans hands before climbing the steps and on top of the turnbuckles, where he fistbumps one more time, sending one more explosion of pyro throughout the arena. He climbs into the ring and sits in a lotus position in the corner, waiting for the match to start.
Kyle Steel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the WCF People's Championship! Making his way to the ring at this time, the challenger- weighing in at 205 lbs and hailing from Atlanta, Georgia... he is a former WCF World Champion... FPV!
Shannan Lerch: A lot of people have been anxiously awaiting this one, Zach - FPV and Kid Phantasm are good friends, sure, but this time they'll be meeting under less friendly terms!
"Clock" by Beck begins playing over the loudspeakers as the curtain parts... and out comes Kid Phantasm. He slaps a few audience members' hands on his way through the arena, then slides beneath the bottom rope and into the ring. Kid Phantasm takes a quick look around the crowd... and then stares down his friend and opponent.
Kyle Steel: Weighing in at 225 lbs and hailing from New Antarctica, Nevada... he is the WCF PEOPLE'S CHAMPION... KID PHANTASM!
Zach Davis: Seth Lerch made this match in an attempt to sow discord between Frank and the Kid... will we see two friends part ways here tonight, or will we just see one hell of a People's Title match?
Shannan Lerch: And is Kid Phantasm right that tonight's the night he loses the title?
Kid and Franky shake hands... neither seems to know how to begin this fight, at least until Kid Phantasm delivers a stiff roundhouse kick to the side of FPV's head. Phantasm gestures for Venable to come at him.
Zach Davis: And just like that, this fight is on! Neither man seemed ready to take this fight to blows, but I think the Kid's finally pushed the issue-
Shannan Lerch: This is gonna be a war, Zach- just look at Franky's eyes! He's shifting into warrior mode, for sure.
Venable and Phantasm lock up; Phantasm flips around into a waistlock... standing switch by FPV. Venable tries to lift the Phantasm, but Kid hooks his leg around Frank's and eventually drops FPV to the mat and into an armbar. After a few seconds in the hold, FPV rolls over and catches the rope with his foot... Referee Zip Wingdinger comes over to break the hold.
Zach Davis: These two have wasted little time here... even if they're just feeling each other out at this point, the Kid seems to be 'feeling' Frank out with brute force!
Shannan Lerch: ...I shouldn't have to tell you this, but wrestling doesn't need your help to sound more homoerotic than it already does.
Kid P whips Frank to the ropes, but FPV reverses; he leaps over the Phantasm, then monkey flips Kid P back-first onto the mat with impact. Phantasm springs up and catches a charging FPV with an armdrag takeover... he hooks FPV's head under his arm and attempts to lift Venable over with a reverse suplex, but cannot seem to achieve the proper amount of momentum; FPV kicks his legs, then throws Kid Phantasm over with a modified snap-mare. Off the ropes, FPV hits a rising Phantasm in the knees with a dropkick. Kid Phantasm stumbles back to the ropes...
FPV: "FUS ROH DUH!"
Venable charges with a running clothesline... Phantasm leans back with the impact and both men tumble to the outside!
Zach Davis: The Kid's got FPV scouted well- he knew what was coming and he rolled with the punches, literally.
Shannan Lerch: Of course, that might be what Franky wanted out of that maneuver - both of these men know each other's playbooks well, especially so for two people in their first head-to-head contest!
FPV picks the Kid up, but Kid P stuns him with a jawbreaker as the referee counts for both men... Kid rolls Frank into the ring, then slides in after him. Kid Phantasm cinches FPV up and hits a snap suplex... Phantasm climbs to the second rope and comes off with an Antarctican Jam (second rope legdrop), connecting with the former World Champion.
Zach Davis: Phantasm with a cover! 1....2...NO! 2 count, Venable gets a shoulder up!
Shannan Lerch: Probably wishful thinking by the Kid - he knows Franky won't go down that easy.
As FPV rises, Kid Phantasm climbs out onto the apron- he flies back in with a slingshot dropkick, but FPV shoves him aside mid-flight and the Kid lands roughly on one knee. Wasting no time, Venable puts Kid Phantasm into an STF.
Zach Davis: And this time it's Frank with the submission hold- he's going right after that knee the Kid just got dropped onto with an STF!
Shannan Lerch: FPV's not a notorious submission expert or anything, but he's mean with that STF... and the Kid just 'fell' right into place for it.
After a few torturous moments, Phantasm reaches the bottom rope. Referee Zip Wingdinger has FPV break the hold. Without giving the Kid a chance to get back up, Frank flips him over and drags him to one corner... he slingshots the Phantasm face-first into the top turnbuckle (The Pearly Gates)! Cover- 2 count!
Zach Davis: THAT'S FPV'S FINISHER, THE PEARLY GATES! COVER- 1...2...NO!! Phantasm kicked out!
Shannan Lerch: That was damned close, Zach - I thought the Kid predicted correctly for a second there!
A bit frustrated, FPV climbs the top rope... as the Phantasm stands, he leaps off and catches Kid P for a leaping DDT... the Kid holds fast, and responds with a Southern Lights Suplex! Bridge, cover - 2 count.
Zach Davis: WHAT A REVERSAL! 1....2...FPV kicks out with authority!
Shannan Lerch: The back and forth between these two is nothing short of brutal, Zach.
Phantasm and Venable both struggle to their feet... both men charge and butt heads, and both go down hard! The referee begins counting both men down... Kid P pulls himself towards a corner and up by the ropes while FPV climbs to his knees. Phantasm charges in on shaky legs... Venable stands, catching the Kid and roughly puts him down with a spinebuster!
Zach Davis: What impact with that spinebuster- FPV might finally have the Kid where he wants him here!
Shannan Lerch: Wonder what the next conversation between these two'll be like... jeez. My brother sure knows how to ruin shit, doesn't he?
Venable awaits the rise of Kid Phantasm...
FPV: "BOOM! HEADSHOT!"
...and nails him with the superkick!
Zach Davis: HEADSHOT BY FPV! Here's the cover- 1....2....3?! HE DID IT! NEW CHAMPION! NEW CHAMPION!
Kyle Steel: Your winner of the match... and the NEW WCF PEOPLE'S CHAMPION... FPV!!!
Shannan Lerch: Here's hoping the Kid doesn't take that Boom! Headshot! personally.
Zach Davis: The People's Champion has been defeated, ladies and gentlemen... long live the People's Champion.
Kid rolls out of the ring, holding his head in pain as FPV is handed the People's Title... until Odin hits the ring that is.
Shannan Lerch: Well, we knew it was coming, here we go!
FPV drops his new Title immediately and begins brawling with Balfore, but Balfore's surprise attack is too much. He throws FPV to the ropes and hits him with a Big Boot!
Zach Davis: DAMN! He just took FPV's head off!
FPV hits the mat hard, but of course Odin isn't done. He picks FPV up and grabs him by the throat...
Shannan Lerch: RAGNAROK!
Zach Davis: Odin is destroying the former leader of the DoT!
Odin picks up FPV's new People's Title and spits on it, throwing it down at Frank. Odin leaves the ring and heads to the back.
Shannan Lerch: We just witnessed history. Kid Phantasm has finally been dethroned, but FPV's People's Title reign is not starting how he'd like it to, I'm sure!
Seth Lerch is backstage watching the monitor gleefully, having just seen Odin Balfore destroy FPV. He turns and sees Christopher Kane walk by. His eyes widen.
Seth Lerch: Chris! Can I call you Chris? Whatever, hey, I'm your boss, get over here.
Annoyed, Christopher Kane approaches.
Seth Lerch: You see that? FPV just beat Kid Phantasm, new People's Champ... then Odin destroyed him! Hilarious.
Christopher Kane: I hope he's better by next week for my People's Title match, just so I can prove that I can beat him at his best.
Seth Lerch: Yeaaahhhh... that's kinda what I wanted to talk to you about. See, FPV is already booked against Balfore, so.... that People's Title shot you just earned? You can forget about that. For Revenge, at least.
Kane's eyes narrow.
Seth Lerch: Know what? I'm not even sure if I'm gonna let you get your shot! I hated your dad and looking at your annoying face, I'm starting to hate you too. I'm just hoping you won't be as much of a pain in my ass as HE was.
Christopher Kane: My dad warned me you'd try to fuck with me. Know what Seth? You just made a HUGE mistake.
Christopher walks off while Seth contemplates what he may've meant.
As WCF returns from commercial, the camera pans over to the announcing table where there is a third guest for that evening; "The Devil's Right Hand" Nathan von Liebert, is seated beside Zach Davis, headset already on his head.
Zach Davis: My my, I must admit this is the first time you've ever sat with us, Nathan. What made you do it?
Shannan Lerch: And when are you leaving?
NvL: My fellow church-goers are here this evening wrestling and I felt sitting in the back watching on a flat-screen was too boring. I knew just how much the WCF universe missed hearing me speak so I decided what better way to return than to sit down and provide my commentary on the main event this evening.
The camera cuts to the ring, where Kyle Steel stands, ready to begin.
Kyle Steel: The following contest is a six man tag and is set for one fall. Introducing first. . .
Almost unintelligible whispers come over the PA system... the sound of whispers, signalling the beginning of "Jesus Built My Hot rod" by Ministry. As the song truly begins, in its usual epic fashion, the curtain parts and out comes The Reign of Terror. Andrew Warhawk steps forth wearing crimson liturgical robes and clutching his 'Book of Dark Times' as if guarding it. Behind Warhawk, walks out Zombie McMorris, all jacked up and ready for combat. As the 'Dark Church' "enforcers" continue walking, a few steps behind is a procession of the faithful, emerging from backstage. The Gathering walks out. Both the small and the Monstrous Gathering show their Faith and loyalty towards Oblivion. The sound of thunder rattles the arena, as Famine of the Vile walks out. The Vixens come out next, dressed in white on white habits spotted with what appears to be blood and in the midst of the cluster of 'nuns' we see the Church's 'messiah'. The God of Insanity - Oblivion himself - steps at a leisurely pace and looks about at the 'saved' and 'unsaved' alike... his gaze would evoke utter terror from any sane person. McMorris slides into the ring, leaping to a turnbuckle and pumping his fist to the crowd... Warhawk carefully places his book in one corner of the ring and then carefully climbs inside to join his tag team partner. Famine of the Vile slides under the bottom ring rope and proceeds to go to another corner of the ring, where he climbs up to the second turnbuckle and roars out. The Gathering and The Vixens lead IT in procession around ringside as Oblivion continues staring down the crowd, almost as if remembering all of their faces... or looking into their souls. McMorris and Warhawk then each take one side and hold the ropes open for their 'savior' as IT enters the ring.
Zach Davis: And now we have all five members of the Dark Saints at ringside. The fans may not know this but you were never friendly from the start with some of these men. Am I correct, Nathan?
NvL: How could you be wrong, Zach, when I have never had friends before. I have no friends. But yes, I have clashed with the likes of Zombie McMorris and Oblivion in the past; Obi clocked me upside the head with a chair in case the fans forgot. But they also happen to be two of my wins in the record book. That cannot be forgotten.
Shannan Lerch: But you did forget them. At least, you forgot the win over Oblivion.
Kyle Steel: First to the ring, weighing in at a combined weight of 832 pounds, we have Zombie McMorris, Famine of the Vile, and Oblivion! They are the Church of DARK SAINTS! And their opponents. . .
"Parabola" by Tool hits the PA system and the crowd go crazy. The lights go down and the screen begins to read 'Future... Elements... Dynasty...' Four spotlights hit the curtain and then the screen says 'PANTHEON'.
Johnny Reb and Jeff Purse come through the curtain and each raise a fist to the crowd. With their free hands, they point to the curtain, which Jonny Fly steps out of, his World Title strapped to his waist
Fly leads the Pantheon down the ramp towards the ring, slowly... then, after a few steps, he unbuckles his belt to lift into the air and one massive jolt of white pyro goes off, echoing through the arena and shaking the stage. The group advances almost menacingly toward the ring at first, but then The Reb and Purse storm the ring suddenly, each leaping to a turnbuckle. Fly follows right behind them, saluting the public with a haughty battle cry.
Zach Davis: The history between these men are much more well known to the WCF Universe. Your fight with Jeff Purse began before even coming to WCF, and Fly has stood against you more than once in the sqaured circle.
NvL: That they have. Purse understands what it feels like to lose to me.
Shannan Lerch: But you also know how to lose to them. I'll put it this way; it seems like history with your allies have resulted in you winning, but against your enemies you lost. Does that explain who is the weaker between Pantheon and the Dark Saints?
Before Nathan can answer the question, Kyle Steel introduces the new comers.
Kyle Steel: Their opponents, weighing in at a combined weight of 645 pounds, we have Jeff Purse, Johnny Reb, and Jonny Fly. Together they are PANTHEON!
Fly holds his title up once more to the pop from the crowd before finally handing it off. Pantheon members trade words in their corner on who is going to start the match off, but the Dark Saints are having none of it. Zombie and Famine both charge into the corner, hitting lariats to the unsuspecting Purse and Reb. Fly turns around straight into a chokeslam from his Revenge opponent. With the help of his followers, Obi pushes Fly and Purse to the outside, leaving Reb to their mercies.
But instead of ganging up on the Confederate, Zombie and Obi return to their corner so the referee can finally call for the bell.
DING DING DING
Famine pulls Reb to his feet, and whips him into the ropes. On the rebound, Johnny runs straight into a spinebuster from Famine, which is transitions into a quick pin.
Zach Davis: After getting rid of his partners, Famine quickly goes for the victory over Reb.
Shannan Lerch: But Reb is far from finished.
Famine reaches down to pull Johnny back up, but Reb catches him off guard with a sharp kick to the side of his head. Kipping to his feet earned a pop from the crowd, but his Facebreaker DDT to Famine earns an explosion from the crowd. Reb watches Obi for a moment before hitting a standing moonsault into a pin.
Zombie is there before the three count, though to break the pin. Reb rises only to get double-teamed by Zombie and Famine. But the odds are evened out as Purse comes off the apron with a springnboard dropkick to Zombie. Reb reaches up, trying for a neckbreaker on Famine, but Vile breaks Reb's hold, and takes him up and over with a German Suplex, bridged into a pin.
NvL: Just take a moment and notice the size difference between my allies and their opponents. Famine is both taller and heavier than everyone out there, and Oblivion weighs three-hundred pounds. The saying "size matters" comes to mind in this situation. Am I right, Shannan.
Shannan Lerch: Size does matter, Nate. That's why you had to kidnap a girl to finally spend time with one. Because you don't have size.
Purse quickly pulls his opponent up, and whips him into his own corner so Fly can tag in. Fly steps into the ring, and Jeff whips him towards Famine, who is just standing. Using the momentum, Fly just barrels over Famine with a clothesline. Zombie tries to hit Fly from behind, but Jonny turns in time to uppercut McMorris. A Death Vally Driver follows, that sends Zombie rolling out of the ring. And to top off his fiery entrance, Jonny drops a powerful leg drop across Famine's face, all the while staring at Oblivion.
Zach Davis: Pin attempt by Fly
Fly stands, staring at Oblivion, before tagging in an eager Purse, who scales the ropes in hopes of a frog splash.
Shannan Lerch: Deflator
Famines rolls out of the way though, straight into a tag from Zombie.
NvL: I always used that move better than Purse.
Zombie pulls up the stunned Purse, and drops him back to the mat with an inverted suplex. Purse clutches his stomach, Zombie's target area, but this doesn't stop McMorris from stomping on that area. Finally McMorris relents, but only to lock in an abdominal stretch onto Jeff. Purse struggles, trying to inch himself to the ropes to tag back in. And all the while the crowd cheers on their fan favorite
Zach Davis: The fans sure are behind Jeff.
NvL: They've been disappointed before by Pursey. Take last week for example. Jonny Fly wasted his breath on that pep talk. Jeff Purse cannot try to make a name as a television champion if he can't retain it one time.
Shannan Lerch: But he beat one of those "great" television champions when he defended his United States title against you. Is that proof enough?
With the crowd booming, Purse reaches out his free hand to tag in Jonny Fly, who cold cocks Zombie from the apron. Zombie releases the hold, and Fly steps in, but before both men can lock up, Oblivion yells. Zombie looks back, and Obi calls for the tag. So McMorris steps back, and Fly's Revenge opponent tags in for the first time that night.
Zach Davis: A preview of Revenge is about to happen in the ring.
Oblivion and Fly meet in the center of the ring, face to face, eye to eye. . . And then the challenger uppercuts the champion. The champ returns with a forearm smash, and the brawl begins. Blow after blow, both men are trying to cause harm to each other.
Zach Davis: The wrestling match has become a fight. Both men are letting each other know what happens next week.
Oblivion, who outweighs Fly by about eighty pounds, slowly pulls ahead far enough to whip Jonny into the ropes. Obi waits for Fly to return to hit him with a powerslam, but on the rebound, Fly powerslides across the mat, halting below Obi to elbow him in the gut. Fly stands quickly, locking in an inverted facelock on the bent-over challenger, driving his head to the mat with a powerful DDT. Jonny mouths "I'm the champ, not you" to Oblivion before making the pin
Shannan Lerch: Oblivion is just getting a warmup to the beatdown he'll get next week.
Jonny pulls Obi to his feet, and whips the challenger into the corner, where he follows up with the beginning of the Discus Fly, but runs into a big boot from Oblivion. Obi lifts the champ onto his shoulders, mouthing "For now" to Fly before slamming him on the mat with an airplane spin into a RKO.
Zach Davis: 5150!
NvL: Jonny Fly is just getting a warmup to the loss he'll get next week.
Johnny Reb saved his teammate by hitting the Southern Discomfort from his corner, catching Oblivion in the back of the head. Reb attempts to pull Reb to the corner for a tag, but Zombie rushes in, delivering a sharp kick to Johnny's stomach, followed by a double arm spike DDT.
NvL: World Tour '69!
Zombie turns towards Pantheon's corner, expecting an attack from Purse, only to realize Jeff was already in the air. One rotation, Two rotations as Purse spikes Zombie's head to the mat.
Shannan Lerch: The Future!
Purse turns, smile on his face straight to a boot in the gut from Famine. Famine, quickly lifts Jeff up, and drops him to the mat with his Osaka Street Cutter.
NvL: The Blood Driver!
Fly is on his feet now, though, and he is having little of Famine. He runs at him and Clotheslines him, sending both men flying over the top. Jeff has stumbled up and he runs to the ropes, going to do some kind of dive out of the ring, but Oblivion catches him out of nowhere and hits the Black Hole!
NvL: BLACK HOLE!
Oblivion drops and pins Jeff Purse.
NvL: I KNEW IT. Pantheon is DEFEATED!
Shannan Lerch: I ... what?! I don't believe it!
Oblivion's music hits as the fans are in shock. Zombie McMorris and Famine of the Vile reenter the ring as Purse rolls out. Fly and Reb check to see if he's okay. Fly stares up at Oblivion, anger in his eyes.
Zach Davis: Is this a sign of things to come at Revenge? Will Oblivion become the new WCF World Champion?
Shannan Lerch: Only time will tell!
NvL: Dark Saints one, Pantheon zero.
Zach Davis: Fans, see you at Revenge!
Slam fades to black.
