Drunk and Crazy by Mogwai hits and Slam is on.. the.. air! We go to Zach and Shannan.
Zach Davis: Welcome to Slam, everyone! After last week we're back to a full show and what a show it is.
Shannan Lerch: Our main event sees Eric Price teaming up with his new ally, Davey Ortega, to take on Prophecy. No love lost between Price and Prophecy, of course.
Zach Davis: That's right. Price, Tek and Steeltoe Joe used to be allies known as Mullisha, but that didn't work out. And Ortega aligning himself with Price is interesting, considering that Ortega really is a veteran around here. Throw Gravedigger into the equation, and... Eric Price looks to become nearly unbeatable.
Shannan Lerch: Speaking of Prices, we have Jay teaming up with Skyler Striker, both men Pantheon members, taking on the Tag Team Champs, the Homegrown Players.
Zach Davis: Jay has a US Title match against Slane coming at Timebomb. And Waylon? Oh boy...
Shannan Lerch: Scott Savage has a bachlor's party arranged for Waylon Cash here tonight. Which is kinda morbid, in my opinion, considering that we still don't know where Roxanne is, but.. Scott seems to think this is what she'd want.
Zach Davis: Speaking of her kidnapper, Nathan von Liebert, he's reuniting with Oblivion to face Southern Discomfort. And the winners face the Homegrown Players for the Tag Team Titles next week.
Shannan Lerch: I can only imagine what'll happen if Nathan and Waylon end up in the same ring together.
Zach Davis: The new team of Freya Kane and Kaylyn James Evans faces off against the Genesis team of Roy Speede and Sarah Twilight. The Television Title is on the line, if Sarah would happen to get pinned, submit, or get herself DQed.
Shannan Lerch: There is some tension between Speede and Twilight, and that'll probably only add to the tension, I'm sure!
Zach Davis: John Gable and Benjamin Atreyu are teaming up, which for some reason just seems right to me. They're facing Odin Balfore and Terry "Synn" Roberts.
Shannan Lerch: Former Tag Team Champions, Odin and Atreyu are scheduled to face each other next week at Timebomb. We'll see what happens when they're on opposite sides tonight.
Zach Davis: One week from his big match against Jay Price, Stuart Slane is defending his US Title against Ana Valentine. Valentine just returned to the company, and this could be considered a huge upset if she can pull it off!
Shannan Lerch: We've got Vengeance and Kale Windsor teaming up to face The Ninja and Deuce Maximus. I'll never get tired of saying that name. Deuce Maximus.
Zach Davis: Morientes and Aloysius Mason are going one on one; Mason is a newcomer to the company. Morientes has been here a short time as well but made quite a name for himself in that short time, so we'll see how these two fare against one another tonight.
Shannan Lerch: We've also got Judge Mental versus G-Money and Doc Henry versus Blizzard! Let's start the show already, geez!
Zach Davis: Actually Shannan, I've just received word that due to Waylon Cash's upcoming bachelor party festivities, the Homegrown Players much has been moved up to opening the show! Wow! What a blockbuster way to start the evening!
"Parabola" by Tool hits the PA system and the crowd go crazy. The lights go down and two spotlights hit the curtain and then the screen says 'PANTHEON'. Jay Price and Skyler Striker walk out onto the stage before heading to the ring, slapping the hands of the fans and whatnot as they go.
Zach Davis: Never thought I'd see a teamup like this in a million years, to be honest with you. Jay Price and Skyler Striker of all people.
The opening plucking of "Toast to the Fam" begins, and the crowd cheers loudly, signalling the arrival of the Homegrown Players. Waylon Cash, and Steve Orbit come dancing out onto the stage.
Kyle Steel: Now coming to the ring, accompanied by their manager, Roxxanne Savage, with a combined weight of four-hundred and seventy pounds. Representing Genesis, "The Hellbilly" Waylon Cash, and "The Mack" Steve Orbit... The Homegrown Players!
Steve and Waylon stand at opposite sides of the ramp, encouraging the crowd to make noise as multicolored fountains of sparks spring up all around them, and Roxxanne stands in the center of the stage, grinning. The two men come together, and bump fists, before all three of them step down the ramp. The fans scream their love, as the two men slide under the bottom rope, and jump to the second rope, in opposite corners of the ring. Their music slowly quiets, as both men climb down, and meet in the center of the ring. They have a quick game of rock, paper, scissors to determine who starts the match, before heading to their corner.
Zach Davis: Annndd here we go!
Skyler Striker starts for his team, and Steve Orbit for his. The two hesitantly shake hands before the match starts, which gets a cheer from the crowd.
Shannan Lerch: Everyone in this match is a fan favorite, so not sure where the crowd is going to fall on this one.
Striker and Orbit tie up, with the crowd watching intently. Striker gets the upper hand, shoving Orbit towards a corner. The ref calls for a clean break, and Orbit obliges.
Zach Davis: Don't always see that! Very refreshing.
They tie up again, and this time Orbit switches behind Striker. He goes for a German Suplex!, but Striker lands on his feet. Orbit turns and Striker kicks him in the gut, following up with a Sitout Facebuster!
Zach Davis: Big move!, after a series of stalemates, Striker gets the upper hand!
Striker tags in Price. Price enters the ring and begins stomping on Orbit.
Shannan Lerch: For quite a while, Jay Price had his eyes set on Steve Orbit, the man who was the United States Champion. No love lost here, I'm sure.
Price backs off from Orbit after several stomps, letting Orbit get to his feet. Price throws Orbit to the ropes and positions himself for a Tiltawhirl Backbreaker, but Orbit sees it coming. Orbit kicks Price away, hits a Spinning Backfist, and follows up with a DDT!
Zach Davis: Beautifully executed by The Mack!
Orbit drops down and pins Price, hooking the leg.
No!, Price kicks out. Orbit gets up and tags in Cash.
Shannan Lerch: Waylon is in the middle of his bachlor's party! He shouldn't even have to compete tonight if you ask me.
Cash gets into the ring and runs at Price, hitting a Flying Forearm. Price goes down, gets back up, and gets hit with a High Dropkick from Cash. Price goes down again, gets up again, and this time Cash hits a Snap Powerslam into pin!
No!, again Price kicks out!
Zach Davis: Jay Price, at the top of his game tonight.
Cash kicks at Price several times before lifting him up and tagging Orbit back in. While Price is woozy, Waylon hits him with a chop block while Steve hits a jumping leg lariat!
Shannan Lerch: OLD SCHOOL JUSTICE!
Orbit pins Price once more!
NO!, Striker ducks under Waylon's interference and breaks it up!
Zach Davis: Price, saved by his teammate there!
Striker turns and is Clotheslined by Waylon, sending both men flying out and leaving only the legal men inside. Orbit stomps carefully at Price before lifting him up and locking in a Half Nelson Suplex.
Shannan Lerch: Here comes the Honey Dip!
But Price knows what is coming and breaks out of it. Price throws Orbit to the ropes before hitting an Exploder Suplex! The crowd is on their feet as Price dives and tags in Striker!
Zach Davis: HERE COMES SKYLER STRIKER!
Orbit gets back up before Striker Clotheslines him back down! Orbit gets back up, and Striker follows up by Springboarding and hitting him with a DDT!
Shannan Lerch: Striker is on fire!
Striker quickly climbs up to the top as Orbit gets up once more. Striker flies off the top...
Zach Davis: FLYING LEG LARIAT!
Striker pins Orbit, hooking the leg.
NO! Orbit kicks out!
Shannan Lerch: You've gotta imagine that if Striker and Price pick up the win here, they just may be in line for a Tag Titles rematch in the future.
Striker lifts Orbit up and onto the top of the turnbuckle. He then backs up, runs up towards him..
Zach Davis: Here comes the Starfall!
Striker hits Orbit with several buzzsaw kicks!, but as he's about to go for the Hurricanrana, Waylon Cash comes out of nowhere and positions himself to Powerbomb Striker into the mat!
Shannan Lerch: OOF!
Price enters the ring and runs at Cash, but Cash grabs him and uses his own momentum to throw him over the ropes. Orbit looks down at Striker.
Zach Davis: Here it comes...
ORBIT FLIES OFF THE TOP WITH THE OAKLAND SPLASH!
Shannan Lerch: NO! NO! STRIKER GETS THE KNEES UP!
Orbit hits Striker's knees!
Zach Davis: Earlier in the week, we heard that Striker sees Orbit as a man who has repeatedly gotten in his way.. and he's showing that he's learned a few things each time!
Striker dives and tags in Jay! Jay comes in with a head of steam, picking Orbit up and throwing him to the ropes. As Orbit comes back, Jay jumps-
Shannan Lerch: THE DOWNFALL!
-But Orbit catches him midair, and tosses him into the waiting arms of Waylon Cash, who just entered the ring.
Zach Davis: Oh shit. Here it comes...
Cash drives Price down with a Powerbomb as Orbit hits the Double Knee Backbreaker.
Shannan Lerch: THE CHIROPRACTIC BITCH SLAP!
Orbit falls onto Price, hooking his leg.
Zach Davis: The Tag Team Champions pick up the win!
The bell sounds as the Homegrown Players meet in the ring, grabbing their Titles and beginning to celebrate. Skyler Striker enters the ring to check on his partner Jay Price.
Shannan Lerch: Great way for Waylon Cash to start the night... and now the party can begin!
Zach Davis: Right now we have Hank Brown standing by with G-Money
BOOs from the crowd can be heard as the shot of G-Money and Hank appear on the Jumbo-Tron
Hank Brown: Thanks Zach I am here with one of the most controversial and galvanising superstars to enter WCF in years “Your Wifey’s Favourite Wrestler” ....... G-Money
A few high pitched female screams can be heard but they are definitely in the minority compared to the BOOs from the people of San Antonio as G-Money prepares to speak he waits for it to subside before giving Hank a long intense glare he then snatches the mic and pushes Hank out of shot eliciting a few more BOOs.
G-Money: Like these gun loving retards you ain’t fit to hold my jock so you ain’t fit to hold MY mic ya biatch
Crowd: AASSHOLE! AASSHOLE! AASSHOLE! AASSHOLE!
The reaction though as instantaneous as it is loud it subsides quickly, G-Money ignores it all and begins to speak
G-Money: Respect. You strip away everything else. The titles, the gimmicks and that’s all that matters. Respect. Not the type that those suck up kiss asses or whining bitches in this company love so much from you pieces of trash, no, no I’m talking about the only type that matters, the kind that you TAKE, the kind that you beat into people, the respect that everyone from our “fearless” leaders “running” the show, to the ho’s on the roster, to that Hardcore Redneck piece of crap will give to me whether they want to or not. You see the haters need to stop hating and face the fact that my eventual dominance of WCF is inevitable. Apart from that asterix last week, hell facing a teenage little bitch is so far below “Da Franchize Playa” it shouldn’t even count, but no one put in front of me, not Jaguar-F, Not Reece O’Cleary, not Blizzard, not even the kiddies favourite Kane and damn sure not some crazy ass punk Judge wannabe! Nobody in that ring or on this mic can touch me I...AM...UNTOUCHABLE. Judge Mental, Judge, Jury, Executioner? Nah homie you ain’t nutin’ but G-Money’s bitch number five.
Crowd is really pissed now, G-Money smirks before lowering his shades slightly and staring directly into camera with serious intent.
G-Money: Can I Get a Witness
G-Money shoves the mic back into Zach’s chest knocking the wind out of him before walking off.
Zach Davis: Let’s take it back to ringside.
Zach Davis:In the opening match on the Slam card we have…
Shannan Lerch: We have two guys wanting to be somewhere better on the card then this opening match.
Zach Davis: Well said here comes one of them now.
Dr. Feelgood hits the speakers and as the main riff blasts through the arena, Doc, and Mary emerge on the stage, the Confederate Title around his waist. Looking around, he raises a fist in the air, the crowd cheering wildly as he then leads the way to the ring. Climbing up the steps, he holds the Ropes for Mary, who slinks lithely through. Doc steps trough the rooes and grins proudly as he pops the crowd drawing more cheers as Mary takes the belt.
Zach Davis: Doc wants to get on a better page and a win tonight can do it.
Shannan Lerch: Zach why do you think he goes by Doc “the cock” now?
Zach Davis: I have no idea and I don’t want to know.
Shannan Lerch: Well here comes of his opponent.
unforgivin 2 by Metallica starts playing as the arena turns blue. White and blue pyros go off on the stage as low laying fog fills the entrance ramp Blizzard comes down slapping the hands of fans as he enters the ring he stands on the second turn buckle pointing at the fans then raising his arms as lights come back on.
Shannan Lerch: What a cold pop from the crowd for Blizzard ha ha ha
Zach Davis: Wow.. Really Shannan that’s what you got?
Shannan Lerch: Shut up the match is about to start.
Bell rings and Doc runs right into Blizzard and bounces off him and lands hard on the mat. Doc looks shocked that just happen. Blizzard looks down at Doc and smacks his belly. Doc gets up and attacks again Blizzard braces himself and Doc leaves his feet and lands a drop kick that puts Blizzard in the corner. The crowd looks shocked the Doc was able to move him back. Doc gets up and jumps on top of Blizzard while he is in corner. He starts to land punches and while the crowd counts. He gets to number 5 and Blizzard just throws Doc in the middle of the ring.
Zach Davis: Did you see that? He made it seem like Doc was only a couple pounds
Shannan Lerch: Yeah that was nuts.
Blizzard runs and jumps and lands a splash on Doc.
Shannan Lerch: OMG I think he might have just killed Doc.
Zach Davis: I don’t if Doc will ever be the same if he kicks out or not.
Blizzard goes for the pin
NO!! Doc somehow found away to kick out. Blizzard gets up and picks up Doc and whips him off the ropes Doc comes off the ropes and Blizzard grabs him and hits a sidewalk slam. Blizzard gets up and starts to yell at Doc. Doc is slow to move. Blizzard picks up Doc and goes for a short arm Clothesline Doc ducks and hits a running bulldog.
Zach Davis: That was great counter to the clothesline.
Shannan Lerch: Am sorry did you say something I was trying to focus on the match.
Zach Davis: Really you focusing on the match?
Shannan Lerch: Yeah I am.
Zach Davis: Really? Who is the match?
Shannan Lerch: That is easy it’s that guy and that guy.
Zach Davis: That’s what I thought.
Doc gets up and starts to climb the turnbuckle and leaps and lands an elbow drop in the middle of the Blizzards back. Doc is feeling it he thinks he has the win. He rolls over Blizzard and goes for the pin
Blizzard kicks out. Doc can’t believe what just happen. Doc gets up and Blizzard his up they both look at each other. Blizzard throws a right, Doc answers with a right of his own. Blizzard throws another right, Doc throws another right. Blizzard has had enough he kicks Doc in the mid section and goes for the Perfect Storm he lifts him, and Doc starts to punches Blizzard and Doc is able to get drop out of the move and he hits a chop block on Blizzard. Blizzard is down to a knee and Doc bounces off the ropes…
Zach Davis: He is not trying for a spear is he?
Doc hits it! Doc now climbs up to the turnbuckle.
Shannan Lerch: He's gonna hit a second Spear, from the top!
But Blizzard summons all his strength to dive into the ropes and cause Doc to crotch himself! He then grabs Doc off the turnbuckle and Powerbombs him!
Zach Davis: Perfect Storm!
Blizzard pins Henry, hookin the leg.
Shannan Lerch: Blizzard wins!
Blizzard celebrates for a moment before leaving the ring.
Zach Davis: Good performace by both men here tonight.
In the ring, Henry works his way to his feet.
Voice: You've tried to keep me down for way too long Doc Henry. Your time is comeing to an end real soon.
The lights fade out as "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd starts playing as a single white light hits the entrance and standing there is a little four year old little boy dresses in a black Lynyrd Skynyrd t-shirt and jeans carrying a vanilla folder. The light follows him to the ring where he hands the folder to Doc Henry and leaves. As Doc starts to open the folder huge pyro goes off from all four corner turnbuckles and the lights go down. The WCFtron reads March 17, 2013 in red dripping like blood. The lights fade back up and Doc is holding a contract for a title shot at the Confederate championship in a Southern Street Fight inside a Hell in a Cell cage.
Voice: Balls in your court Yankee!
DING DING DING
Kyle Steel: This following contest is scheduled for one fall introducing first
PA: GET YO’ ASS UP!! Ba-ringdinddingdingding Ba-ringdingdingdingding, MARTIN HAD A DREAM-MARTIN HAD A DREAM-MONEY HAS A DREAM
blares over the speakers before the baseline and beat kicks in (think Kendrick’s Backseat Freestyle) G-Money slowly makes his way to the entrance area, he slowly scans the arena from left to right before smirking and swaggering down the aisle.
Zach Davis: He certainly hasn’t endeared himself to the WCF Galaxy
Shannan Lerch: Or WCF locker room for that matter, me I’m undecided
Kyle Steel: Making his way to the ring from Compton California, weighing in at 235 pounds. GEEEE MOOONEEEY!!!
Crowd: G-MONEY SUCKS! G-MONEY SUCKS! G-MONEY SUCKS! G-MONEY SUCKS!
G-Money pauses on the apron soaking up the reaction before entering the ring to await his opponent
Kyle Steel: And his opponent.....
"All RISE!!!" is heard throughout the arena as two explosions from the entrance way discharge in a quick flame, BOOM! "The honourable Judge Mental" is said over the speakers as the judge himself appears through the smoke of the pyrotechnics. Also Sprach Zarathustra, by Strauss (Ric Flair's entrance theme) starts to play as Judge Mental walks slowly to the ring. With gavel in hand, he occasionally stops and points it at fans booing him; screaming even at children who dare give him the slightest negative attention.
Kyle Steel: From Plagershift Wyoming weighing in at 308 pounds. JUUUUUUUDGE MEEEEENTAL!
Zach Davis: This is shaping up to be a battle of fan favourites
Zach Davis: I think the fans want to cheer The Judge over Money but he isn’t exactly making many fans as well
He puts the gavel under the ring and steps up the stairs in the ring, motioning for EVERYONE to stand, and noticing how many fans PURPOSELY sat down. G-Money also casually sits on the turnbuckle before getting down as both men prepare to lock up.
Zach Davis: As we saw this week G-Money had a war of words with The Hardcore Redneck on Twitter time will tell if that has been too much of a distraction in the lead up to this match.
Shannan Lerch: And don’t forget Judge Mental won an absolute War with Vengeance both in the ring and in a Courthouse!? In his first week!
Judge Mental & G-Money briefly circle each other before locking up there is a bit of a struggle before the bigger Judge Mental shoves G-Money back with force making him roll backwards before popping up near the opposite turnbuckle and pondering his next move.
Shannan Lerch: Wow what a show of power by Judge Mental
Zach Davis: I guess a positive for G-Money is that in his short career to date he has faced larger opponents in Blizzard, Dino Bomb and Oblivion.
The two superstars lock up again but this time G-Money uses his quickness to slip behind Judge Mental who forces his hands apart before using brute strength to hip toss G-Money who rolls to the outside to regain some composure, Judge Mental flexes as the crowd actually cheers him slightly.
Zach Davis: Looks like the cocky G-Money could be in for a long night at the office
Shannan Lerch: Hmm I wouldn’t mind a long night anywhere with Judgey
G-Money re enters and they go to lock up again but at the last moment he slips under wrapping Judge Mental’s own right arm around his neck and dropping him with a Regal-esque neckbreaker
Zach Davis: Oh nice move there
G-Money quickly gets to his feet and starts stomping on Judge Mental with ruthless aggression the ref has no choice but to back him off which allows Judge Mental time to get back to his feet, as G-Money pushes the ref aside to charge at Judge Mental he is hit with a monstrous big boot sending him to the mat.
Shannan Lerch: Ouch!
As G-Money tries to shake the cobwebs while still lying on the mat he is met with a quick boot to the head before being picked up and suplexed back down
Zach Davis: First cover of the match
Zach Davis: bit early for a cover there but can’t blame him for going for it.
Judge Mental Irish whips G-Money hard into the turnbuckle his previously injured back hitting hard as he stumbles forward he is caught in a high impact power slam! Judge Mental picks him and drops him across his knee in a devastating back breaker that causes G-Money to yell out in pain.
Shannan Lerch: Looks like someone did their homework
Zach Davis: That’s right in G-Money’s debut he was the victim of a post match assault targeting his back.
Shannan Lerch: If Judge Mental hits the Double-Jeopard this could be over
G-Money rolls outside again and Judge Mental quickly follows he approaches G-Money who is doubled over in pain however at the last moment he stands straight up spins and takes Judge Mental with a standing dropkick.
Shannan Lerch: Ha! The old playing possum!
G-Money than grabs Judge Mental and Irish whips him into the stairs
Zach Davis: Ref is up to six these two better get back in the ring.
G-Money rolls Judge Mental back into the ring attempting a DDT but Judge Mental powers Money into the corner before delivering ten solid shoulders to Money’s mid section
Shannan Lerch: The 300 pounder coming back strong
Zach Davis: Uh-oh this looks like
Judge Mental steps back than delivers Trial by Fire!
Zach Davis: Whatamove!
He goes for the cover
Zach Davis: No! Money with his foot on the ropes at the last second
As Judge Mental argues the call with the ref we see a quick slow motion replay it shows G-Money getting his left foot on the bottom rope a split second before the ref slaps the mat for the third time.
Shannan Lerch: Devastating power by The Judge
Zach Davis: And great ring awareness by G-Money
Once again G-Money rolls to the outside to regroup and the WCF Galaxy does not like it
Zach Davis: Money showing his “courage” here get in the damn ring already
Shannan Lerch: I think it’s smart he wants to win matches not fans
As G-Money now holds his mid section Judge Mental follows and delivers three clubbing blows to his back before rolling him back in, Judge Mental plays up to the crowd a bit as G-Money crawls to one of the corners and pulls himself up, Judge Mental sees this and appears to signal for another “Trial By Fire”
Zach Davis: If he hits ANOTHER one this is over
Shannan Lerch: So over
Judge Mental runs at G-Money who lifts his legs up and over Judge Mental at the last minute landing behind him as Judge Mental crashes shoulder first into the post.
Shannan Lerch: Ouch
Zach Davis: Could be a game changer right there
G-Money gets to his feet and pounds his clenched fist three times on his heart signifying he is trying for The PBK
Zach Davis: This could be it
G-Money puts Judge mental in the PBK position but Judge Mental pushes out of it and Irish whips G-Money into the ropes who ducks under a clothesline attempt bounces back adjusts his body position at the last possible moment to deliver a “King Hit!” now he picks up a groggy Judge Mental and this time has no resistance as he sets him up.
Zach Davis: This isn’t looking good for one of these rookies
G-Money this time is able to hit The PBK
Zach Davis: PBK! PBK!
G-Money makes the cover
Kyle Steel: Ladies & Gentlemen your winner of this contest G-Money!
Zach Davis: A hard hitting match from these two superstars
Zach Davis: The third match of the night is about to get started! Morientes, having exacted a little bit of revenge on John Gable last week, is about to go one-on-one with WCF's latest signing Aloysius Mason. New talent is always appreciated, and I'm personally looking forward for this one.
Shannan Lerch: Well, this Aloysius is far from that... Nazi jobber hired last year. From what I've seen, he seems to be packing some major heat, both with the fans and in the physical sense. Have you seen the guns he's packing? Yowza!
Zach Davis: Right...
Johann Pachelbel's "Canon in D Major" plays as Aloysius Mason struts out from backstage, who as per usual is carrying his signature pen and diary. He twirls it around as he walks down the ramp, sneering derisively at booing fans.
Kyle Steel: The following contest is set for one fall. Introducing first... from Phoenix, Arizona... weighing in at two hundred and ninety pounds... ALOYSIUS MASON!
When he reaches the centre of the ring, Mason raises his pen triumphantly in the sky, as he soaks in the abuse from angry fans. After smiling at the heat he is getting, he puts his equipment in a corner of the ring, before starting to stretch for the match.
Zach Davis: This man was a former author who was accused of plagiarizing another author. He cracked, and now, he's here in the WCF trying to regain his bearings and get enough material to craft the next great novel. It seems that the WCF Galaxy are not taking too kindly to him right now.
Shannan Lerch: So? He's literate. Something that this audience and you are not. You guys should be ashamed for discriminating against talent.
The clashing of two swords fills the arena for a couple of seconds as the lights dim, before the sound of a shotgun goes off. The crowd cheers loudly as "Back For More" by Five Finger Death Punch starts to play, when Morientes comes out from the back, dressed in his usual fighting attire.
Kyle Steel: And his opponent... from Madrid, Spain... weighing in at two hundred and twenty-two pounds... MORIENTES!
Zach Davis: And for some strange reason, Aloysius Mason has his sights set on a few people in this organization. One of them is no other than this man, The Bull himself.
Posing for the crowd for a few moments, the lights come back on as the first verse of the song is belted, and he makes his way to the ring while nodding at cheering fans. Morientes slides into the ring and raises his arms into the air as the fans cheer. He then sheds his leather jacket in the middle of the ring and throws it to the crowd. Next, he climbs up the upper left turnbuckle and gestures to the crowd.
Shannan Lerch: The crowd is really loving Morientes. Since day one, he has captivated them with his unique fighting style and friendly demeanor, something a few people in the locker room can learn from.
Zach Davis: Stop having crushes on every single male superstar Shannan. But I can agree with that; he's very over with the WCF audience. I still wonder why he has a target on him. His car got destroyed last week, and he still has no idea who did it.
Morientes jumps back to the mat, eager to get this match on the way.
Zach Davis: Both men are looking to make a statement tonight. Both men who have traded harsh words on Twitter, both looking to break the glass ceiling and ascend into the main event, let's get to it!
Senior referee Stanley Moser signals for the bell to be rung.
Morientes and Aloysius Mason pace around the ring, each cautious of being caught by the other and allowing him to get the upper hand. The two men meet in the centre of the ring, and tie up in a collar-and-elbow tie up.
Shannan Lerch: Smart move from both gentlemen. Neither of them is willing to take risks this early in the match, opting to go for a safe lock-up instead.
The bigger Aloysius Mason gets the upper hand, and throws Morientes off his feet. Charging the disorientated Spaniard, Mason strikes him with a powerful clothesline, knocking him to the ground hard. Smirking at the obvious advantage he has over his opponent, Mason brings Morientes up from the canvas, clearly ready to inflict more damage.
Zach Davis: What strength! Did you see how brutal that clothesline was? He damn near took Morientes's head off!
Shannan Lerch: He has close to seventy pounds on Morientes. This is not your typical bookworm, that's for sure!
Mason lifts Morientes and puts him over his shoulder, ready to deliver a powerslam. The Bull manages to slip out of the hold and shoves Mason into the corner turnbuckle. Morientes sprints towards the author, delivering a vicious swinging elbow to the head. The sickening thud of bone on bone echoes loudly throughout the AT&T Center.
Zach Davis: Yikes! Those elbow strikes from Morientes are legendary. Trust me; Hank Brown told me what was it like to be at the receiving end of one. I can only imagine Mason's pain!
Amazingly, despite the heavy blow, Mason still has the strength to push Morientes away, causing the Spaniard to stumble backwards. Mason shakes his head, trying his best to recover from the strike.
Shannan Lerch: I can't believe he's still able to function properly. That definitely looks like it took a lot out of Mason.
Like a pit bull, Morientes rushes back in with another attack. Striking his opponent with several haymaker punches, he grabs Mason and flings him with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Mason gets up once more, and is immediately met with a crooked arm lariat from Morientes!
Zach Davis: Morientes is utilizing his speed to great effect here. Mason has to catch up!
Morientes drops for an early pin. Stanley Moser moves into position.
NO! Aloysius Mason shoots his shoulder off the mat after a two-count.
Shannan Lerch: True grit from Mason. Both men are going hard right off the start.
Undaunted, Morientes slides over Mason, and puts the larger man in an elevated dragon sleeper, slipping his knee under Mason's back to put more pressure on him.
Zach Davis: It's submission time, will Mason tap?
Screaming in agony, Mason flails about wildly and elbows Morientes hard in the gut region, forcing him to release his grip. A wild-eyed Mason grabs Morientes by the head and plants him into the ground with a DDT, taking his opponent out momentarily. Rotating his own neck in an attempt to get the blood recirculating, Mason stares crazily at the downed body of Morientes, before shouting out to the audience.
The crowd boos loudly, drowning his cry within seconds.
Zach Davis: Quite a reaction from the fans. They don't seem to like Mason a lot.
Shannan Lerch: He's looking extremely impressive. Win or lose, he'll fit right in here in the WCF, no questions asked.
Mason brings Morientes up to his feet and lifts him in a military drop press. Loud gasps arise from the audience as they witness his strength. Regaining his cocky smirk, Mason slams the Spaniard down on the mat with all his might. He places a foot on Morientes's chest, signaling for the pin fall. Stanley Moser jumps into position.
Zach Davis: Oh my! Look at that strength!
NO! Morientes manages to kick out before the three-count, eliciting cheers from the San Antonio crowd.
Shannan Lerch: The eyes of Aloysius Mason tell it all. He wasn't expecting Morientes to be conscious after that fall. What will he do now?
Zach Davis: I don't know, but you got one thing right. This Aloysius Mason is for real, that strength is unbelievable. Is there actually someone physically stronger than him in the locker room?
Raising an eyebrow in surprise, Mason bends down to lift Morientes once again. However, The Bull takes advantage of his positioning, and rolls the 290 pound man over in a schoolboy pin position.
NO! Mason manages to power out, and immediately gets to his feet, shocked by how he nearly lost. Morientes also stumbles to his feet, ready to battle again. The crowd burst into cheers, energized by the near-fall.
Zach Davis: WOW! That was damn close! Now the two of them are on their feet and circling each other. We're back to square one. What a match!
Shannan Lerch: I'm getting excited, how will this end?
Roaring in anger, Mason charges towards Morientes, ready to get him in another powerful grapple move. However, Morientes meets him first with a strong shot to the face. The Spaniard continues to assault, striking Mason with a flurry of blows. Mason staggers back, clearly stunned by the furious attacks The Bull is putting up.
Buoyed by momentum, Morientes springboards off the ropes, ready to bring the big man down with a leg lariat.
Zach Davis: BULLWHIP! He's going for it!
But Mason reverses it! Catching Morientes by his legs, the author hoists him into position for a double underhook piledriver, and slams him hard into the mat head first! Mason lies his arm across Morientes for the pinfall, exhausted by the effort.
Shannan Lerch: What a reversal! Mason caught the BULLWHIP and turned it into a STORY CUT of his own. This could be over!
NO! Somehow, Morientes manages to get his shoulder up at the very last second! Rolling off his opponent, Mason wipes the perspiration off his face, a curious frown prominent on his face.
Zach Davis: Uh-oh, he doesn't look too happy. What's going on?
Shannan Lerch: Of course he's unhappy, he can't get the win yet! What's wrong with you Zach?
Stumbling out of the ring, Mason gestures for a ringside technician to get away from his seat. Grabbing the steel chair, Mason rolls back into the ring, and stands up, clearly heading over to hit Morientes with it. The referee tries to dissuade the deranged author, but there's no talking sense into him. Mason smacks the chair on the canvas a couple of times, his muscles twitching and ready to hit Morientes once he turns. The crowd boos loudly, clearly unhappy at the lack of sportsmanship Mason is displaying.
Shannan Lerch: This looks bad for El Nino. Mason is obviously not caring about the outcome of the match anymore. He just wants to kill someone!
Smiling crazily, Mason sizes up his opponent. An obviously groggy Morientes makes his way to his feet, unaware that a fuming madman is behind him, ready to end his night. The Bull finally recovers enough to turn around to face Mason, and when he does, the author strikes with the foreign object!
Zach Davis: Oh no!
The steel chair hits Morientes squarely on the head, knocking him out instantly. Unconscious, Morientes crumples on to the ground, with a small cut appearing on his forehead. A trickle of blood stars to flow, and the WCF audience is absolutely livid. Having no choice, Stanley Moser calls for the bell.
Throwing the steel chair onto the prone body of Morientes, Aloysius Mason lifts his arms up in victory, smiling sadistically as he basks in the hate radiating from the WCF galaxy. He grabs his pen and diary and struts off, happy with the damage that he has caused.
Kyle Steel: As a result of a... disqualification, the winner of this match... Morientes...
Zach Davis: What a sick, sick man! Why can't he compete like a normal human being instead? He may have lost his debut match, but he is walking out with his head held high tonight.
As Mason reaches the stage, he turns back, and looks at the stirring body of Morientes, before laughing manically. His eyes filled with anger, Morientes stares right back at him.
Shannan Lerch: Morientes may have won tonight, but this war is far from over. Aloysius Mason said that he would draw Spanish blood, and tonight, that had happened.
Zach Davis: I fear for the future of WCF, with this monster on the prowl. He named two people last week that he'll be going for as well. Now that Morientes is down, who's next? Will it be The Ninja or Roy Speede?
We come back to this match after commercial, already in progress.
Zach Davis: Sorry for that unusually long commercial break, fans, but we're back! This match has been great so far.
Shannan Lerch: Both Vengeance and Deuce Maximus hit some moves I've never seen before! Holy crap!
Alas, the end seems to be nigh. Vengeance has the Ninja locked in a Triangle Choke.
Zach Davis: That's his Death Lock!
Ninja, sadly, passes out.
Shannan Lerch: We regret you couldn't see that entire match, fans, but there you have it, Vengeance picks up the victory!
Vengeance gets up and celebrates.
The camera opens backstage in a spare room currently being used as a medical facility. Still dressed in his ring attire, Morientes sits up from a hospital bed, allowing the good doctor to finish her duties.
Doctor: Well, you're lucky. There's no need for stitches. That little cut ought to heal by itself in a matter of days.
She pats a plaster on Morientes's forehead, eliciting a wince from the Spaniard wrestler.
Morientes: Ouch! Thanks doctora. Any thing I ought to look out for?
Doctor: Not much really. Try to avoid steel chairs from madmen, that's about all I can say.
Morientes: Oh it's okay. He caught me by surprise. I got a little venganza of my own to dish out as well. This thing with Aloysius Mason isn't over. Not by a long shot. Just wait till get my hands on him.
Smiling faintly, the doctor waves goodbye to Morientes as he heads out of the makeshift clinic.
Morientes: What a nice lady. Well, maybe I should probably head to the canteen or something, I'm getting hu-
Morientes broke off in mid-sentence, as he spots a familiar face leaning casually on the wall, staring at him. Seconds go by, before the person spoke.
Terry Roberts: Hola torero. We need to talk.
We see Waylon Cash walking through the sterile, white halls, with Scott Savage right next to him.
Waylon Cash: Listen Scott, I know you wanna do this, but-
Scott Savage: Shut up. There are people waiting for you. You are going to relax, and have a good time. You deserve it. Hell, you already won your match and started the night off right... You have been far too uptight lately.
Waylon Cash: That's somethin' I don't get. One minute you're ridin' me like a rented mule, the next you're tellin' me I gotta relax.
Scott Savage: You need balance. All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.
Waylon Cash: I wish you'd stop quotin' movies and talk to me.
Scott Savage: Here we are!
Scott throws open a large, metal door to reveal that he has turned one of the larger conference rooms into a makeshift nightclub. Multi-colored lights flash all around as music plays, and two half naked women dance amongst the revelers. Waylon greets a number of the party-goers, as he makes his way over the the bar, and sits down. It isn't long before Tek steps up behind him.
Tek: Hey man, just wanted to say hi. I know we've been on opposite ends of the ring a lot, but I repect you. I hate NvL. I wanna see you bust his head open. You got me?
Waylon gives Tek a weak smile.
Waylon Cash: He's a dead man.
Tek: That's what's up.
Tek pats him on the back, and walks off to join the party. As soon as he is gone, Steve Orbit drops down onto the bar stool next to Waylon.
Steve Orbit: What's goin' on homie? How you feelin'?
Waylon Cash: I been better.
Steve Orbit: I feel you. You just gotta relax. If we're gonna beat Striker and Price, we gotta be focused. Ya dig?
Waylon only nods, as the bar tender sets a beer in front of him.
Steve Orbit: We got a match later, homie.
Waylon Cash: I'll be fine.
They are suddely interrupted by the sound of someone across the room shouting his name. Waylon turns to see Eric Price walking towards him. His muscles tense up, as the suited man begins to speak.
Eric Price: This is ridiculous! A Bachelor party when your fiance is missing? That's weird, even for you!
Waylon jump to his feet, as Orbit stands in front of him to stop him from doing something stupid.
Eric Price: Even if she does escape, NvL has had her. You know what that means. She'll have a nice, new, permanent brand decorating her beautiful skin.
Waylon tries to take a run at him, but both Orbit and Tek hold him back, as Scott steps in front of Eric.
Scott Savage: I think you need to leave. You weren't invited, and I don't think security would like it if you caused a scene.
Eric ponders the pros and cons of causing problems with the large man, before scoffing, and walking off. Scott then turns to address the room.
Scott Savage: Alright everyone, let's not let one asshole ruin our good time.
The guests go back to enjoying the party, as we fade out.
Kyle Steel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the WCF United States Championship! Coming out first, the challenger! Hailing from Las, Vegas, Nevada, weighing in at 109 pounds, she is the “Pristine Princess”: Ana Valentine!!
There’s a huge pop as PCD’s “Don’t Cha” blasts through the AT&T Center. Ana walks down the ramp to pink pyro shooting off behind her. She pauses at the steps to the ring to blow kisses to the crowd. She then steps into the ring bending low to slip between the middle and bottom rope.
Zach Davis: So glad to see Ana Valentine back in a WCF ring. She’s truly a talented wrestler and an all-around class act.
Shannan Lerch: All true, Zach, and she is picking up pretty much where she left off: with her eyes on championship gold.
Kyle Steel: And her opponent; from Grant, Iowa, weighing 270 pounds: the United States Champion “Scoutmaster” Stuart Slane!!
Plenty of heat for the champ as “Follow Me, Boys!” cues up. Stu marches out from the back, silently mouthing the lyrics to his theme as he heads down the ramp. He does a circuit around the outside of the ring before climbing the steps and entering. After some last minute old timey calisthenics (Indian twists, deep knee bends, etc) The Scoutmaster goes his corner. He hands his hat and sash off to a WCF stagehand and assumes a fighting position.
Shannan Lerch: This title match is something of a surprise, since Slane was originally scheduled to defend the US Championship next Sunday at the Time Bomb pay per view.
Zach Davis: “Scoutmaster” is on record saying that Ana Valentine does not deserve a chance at the title, and that the only reason this match is taking place is because Pantheon is angry at him for turning up and reporting evidence of Jonny Fly’s criminal past.
The referee takes the US Title belt from Stu and holds it up for the fans to see. He hands it off to the announcer and then goes over the rules with both wrestlers. Finally, he motions for the bell to ring.
Zach Davis: And we’re off!
Slane lumbers forward to lock up with Ana, but she jukes out of the way and puts him down with a drop toe hold. She springs up and immediately begins kicking at his ribs. After a few good shots Stu is finally able to grab her leg and push her away, sending her tumbling back halfway across the ring.
Shannan Lerch: What power by the Scoutmaster.
Ana rolls to her feet before Slane can get to a vertical base. She goads him into charging at her again, ducking under a clothesline. Stu hits the ropes and doubles back, but Ana connects with a dropkick! Stu staggers back but does not go down. From her prone position she sweeps his leg, sending him crashing to the mat. The Pristine Princess presses her advantage, jumping over Slane and rebounding off the rope with a springboard moonsault! Cover! One! Two! Slane heaves her off him, sending Ana through the ropes and outside the ring.
Zach Davis: Another impressive display of strength by the Scoutmaster.
Shannan Lerch: That’s going to be Ana Valentine’s big hurdle in this match. For all her speed she’s still facing an opponent who outweighs her by 160 pounds, and all of it is muscle.
Stu ignores the referee’s warning to stay inside the ring and pursues Ana. Once he’s slid outside he grabs her by the arm to pull her up. He then swings her around and sends her crashing into the apron. Still holding onto her he does it a second time, so that this time it’s her stomach that takes the brunt of the impact instead of her kidneys. The referee starts to count both of them out. Slane rolls Ana into the ring and enters himself. He stands over her and, grabbing her by the head, lifts and slams it back down onto the mat. Cover. One! Two! Kickout!
Zach Davis: That looked brutal.
Stu pulls Ana up and applies a bearhug. He shakes her violently and cinches up the pressure on her lower back. The ref asks Ana if she quits but she refuses. After some struggling, she’s able to wriggle an arm free and elbows the top of Slane’s head. She hits two more he’s forced to drop her. Ana lands on her feet and keeps up the attack, hammering at the much bigger Scoutmaster with forearms and elbow strikes. She then runs the ropes and comes back with a flying forearm smash that send him staggering. She follows that up with a chop block to the leg that puts him down. Grabbing his foot she puts Slane in an ankle lock!
Shannan Lerch: Unbelievable! Where is Ana finding the energy for this? I would have thought that bearhug would have wrung the life out of her.
Slane scrambles around on the mat, clearly in pain, but cannot pull away from Ana’s submission. She drops down and grapevines his leg with her own, and continues to wrench his ankle. Slowly, Scouty crawls towards the nearest rope, inching himself forward and dragging the Pristine Princess with him. There is a collective groan as he is able to reach out and grab the rope, facilitating a break. Ana, exhausted, reluctantly lets go, and Stu slithers out of the ring to collect himself.
Zach Davis: Scoutmaster’s weight advantage definitely came into play again, Shannan. As good and tight as that ankle lock was, Ana Valentine didn’t have the power to keep him from getting to the ropes.
Ana is able to make her way to the apron. The referee tries to order her back but she ignores him. She springboards off the top rope and creams Stu with a plancha! Unfortunately, they’re too close to the barricade and when she comes down she smacks her own head against it. Now both wrestlers are down.
Shannan Lerch: Ana went high risk there, and it may cost her.
The referee begins his count out. One! Two! Slane rolls over onto his hands and knees. Three! Four! He begins to crawl towards the apron. Ana, has recovered and begins to crawl after him. Five! Stu gets to his feet. Six! Ana rises as well, and elbows the back of his head! Seven! Stuart stumbles forward and hits the apron. Eight! The Pristine Princess heaves him inside the ring. Nine! She rolls in after him, breaking the count.
Zach Davis: So close! If this match were to end by count out, Scoutmaster would retain.
Both Ana and Stu are on the mat. The referee again checks on them, and begins a second count out. One! Two! Three! Slane grabs the ropes and begins to pull himself up. Four! Ana flops over onto her back. Five! Suddenly, Ana kips up and jumps at the ropes. She springboards off and hits the rising Scoutmaster with a roundhouse kick! Slane flails his arms and falls backwards, landing on his ass. Ana follows that up with a running knee strike to his mush and a Cover! One! Two! Stu gets a shoulder up!
Shannan Lerch: Ana Valentine has found her second wind!
The Sexy Sovereign of Sin City is indeed back on her feet. She gestures to the crowd to rile them up, then turns and focuses on Slane. Stalking the big man as he stumbles to his feet, she gets behind him, wraps her arms around his waist, and tries for a German suplex.
Zach Davis: Ana is looking to end this match with the Cupid’s Arrow!
Before Ana can even try to lift Scoutmaster he grabs her wrists. He slowly pulls them apart. Still holding her arm he throws an elbow into the back of her head, stunning her. Slane transitions that into a half nelson, lifts her up onto his shoulders, spins, and drives her to the mat!
Shannan Lerch: Scoutmaster Slam!
He makes the cover. One! Two! Three! Ana kicks out a second too late as the ref calls for the bell.
Kyle Steel: Here is your winner, and still United States Champion: “Scoutmaster” Stuart Slane!!
The crowd boos as “Follow Me Boys!” is again played in the arena. Slane accepts having his arm raised by the ref while offering the jeering fans his three fingered salute with his free hand. Ana, meanwhile, has rolled out of the ring and makes her way to the back.
Zach Davis: Well, he did it. Ana Valentine put forward a very valiant effort, but it wasn’t enough to topple the much larger Scoutmaster.
Shannan Lerch: Maybe not, but she definitely showed she has what it takes to compete with him, and anyone else in the WCF tonight.
Slam goes to commercial as we see Ana Valentine talking with a man and a young girl (the family she gave her tickets to, perhaps?) who are sitting at ringside, as she tries to cheer the latter up.
“Things That You Oughta Know” by Chronic Future blasts over the P.A. System. John Gable enters through the current wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a leather jacket acting as if he was trying not to be noticed. He looks out to the crowd while trying to hide his face. He steps down the ramp as Humphrey Craig followed with a sign reading “future Oscar recipient”. John Gable slides into the ring and rips off his 'disguise'.
“Capricco” by Krzysztof Penderecki hits the sound system with a loud hit of drums followed by a sharp harmony of horns and strings. Benjamin Atreyu casually steps out onto the entrance ramp, savoring the scowls of the audience. After breathing in their discontent he descends the ramp to the ring.
“ With Oden On Our Side” Hit’s the PA system. The arena grows dark as the fans get to their feet to catch a glimpse of the stage. The fans stand and cheer an once the vocals starts, the arena lights flash back on and there stands Odin Balfore, centre stage. Odin stares down at the ring with a sinister grin as the fans sing along with the chorus.
Crowd: Futile to resist! You know we have come! Futile to resist... the battle is.. already won!
Crowd: Futile to resist! You know we have come! Futile to resist... the battle is.. already won!
The fans pop insanely right after as Odin begins to walk down the ramp at a slow an methodical pace. Once he gets to the foot of the ring, he steps up on it and looks around the arena again before stepping over the ropes..
Crowd: Futile to resist! You know we have come! Futile to resist...
Odin cuts off the fans as he raises his hand in triumph. Odin turns back to the ring as the fans finish their part.
Crowd: The battle is.. already won!
Odin stares down his opponents as he waits for the match to get underway.
Synn's music hits, and the crowd is on the edge of their seat.... but no one comes out.
Zach Davis: What the... where is Synn?
Synn's music stops, then starts again. And still, Synn doesn't come out. The fans begin to boo.
Shannan Lerch: Where is he?!
The referee soon has no other choice. He signals for the bell to ring.
Zach Davis: Looks like we've got ourselves a handicapped match! This isn't good for Odin, that's for damn sure.
Odin runs at Gable and Atreyu, hitting them with a surprise attack. He knees Atreyu, causing Atreyu to stumble between the ropes and out of the ring. He clubs Gable a few times before throwing him to the ropes, but Gable reverses it, sending Odin to the ropes instead. As Odin comes back, Gable runs at him and hits him with a knee to his face. Odin stumbles up and Gable catches his head, hitting a Snap DDT!
Shannan Lerch: Ouch. Odin's head spiked to the mat.
Atreyu slides back into the ring now, and he and Gable begin stomping away at Odin. Months worth of frustration is pouring out into Atreyu's stomps.
Zach Davis: I'm no fan of Odin Balfore but come in, ref! This isn't right.
All of a sudden another figure enters the ring...
Shannan Lerch: THE MAVERICK! The Maverick is here!
Zach Davis: And it can't be a DQ because you can't DQ a guy for interfering for.. himself!
Maverick Clotheslines Atreyu, sending him over the ropes once more. Maverick then kicks Gable in the gut and hits a Snap Suplex. Gable stumbles up and Maverick runs at him... and hits a Falling Double Knee Smash!
Shannan Lerch: THE RESURRECTION!
Maverick falls on top of Gable, pinning him.
NO!, Gable kicks out of it. At this point Odin Balfore is on the apron, as is Benjamin Atreyu.
Zach Davis: I think we've got ourselves a tag match here!
Maverick lifts Gable up and then executes a Vertical Suplex. Gable hits the mat hard and yells in pain, holding his back as he stumbles up once more. Once he's to a vertical base, Maverick bounces off the ropes and hits a Chop Block to the back of Gable's knee.
Shannan Lerch: Maverick, firmly in control. Then again, Gable and Atreyu weren't planning on facing TWO Odin Balfores.
Maverick drags Gable by the leg over to Odin and tags him in. Odin comes into the ring and kicks Gable's leg as Maverick held it. Odin then locks Gable into a Half Crab!
Zach Davis: Really working Gable's leg over!, he may not be able to withstand tapping out.
Atreyu quickly enters the ring and kicks Odin off, however. Atreyu picks Odin up and hits him with a forearm to his head, followed by an STO Backbreaker!
Shannan Lerch: No love lost between former Tag Champs here!
Atreyu gets back on the apron now that Gable has worked himself to his feet. Gable stomps Balfore angrily a few times before lifting him up and hitting a Single Underhook Swinging Neckbreaker.
Zach Davis: Gable is back in control now, though he's limping a bit from all those attacks on his leg.
Gable turns and shoves Maverick off the ropes to the outside before pinning Odin.
No, Odin kicks out. Gable picks Odin up and puts him in a Headlock, about to take him over to the Atreyu corner. However, Odin overpowers Gable, shoving him into the turnbuckle in the Balfores corner. Odin quickly tags in Maverick. Maverick comes in and throws Gable to the ropes, getting ready to catch him for the Lawmaker, but Gable stops short and kicks Maverick before hitting a Body Scissors DDT!
Shannan Lerch: Some Like It Hot!
Instead of going for the pin, Gable dives and tags in Atreyu! Atreyu enters the ring and runs at Odin, shoving him off the turnbuckle and into the guardrail. Maverick has stumbled up, Atreyu takes a deep breath, lifts him into the Burning Hammer position, and drops him into a Sitout Facebuster!
Zach Davis: REQUIEM IN D MINOR!
Atreyu pins Maverick, hooking his leg.
Shannan Lerch: And there it is!, Atreyu and Gable pick up the win!
Atreyu stands, getting his arm raised as his music hits. He looks down at the current Odin Balfore, grinning.
Zach Davis: Benjamin Atreyu may've pinned The Maverick, but at Timebomb, he's going one on one with Odin Balfore... can he pin him there?
The camera pans to the titantron, where an oak door comes into view. A thump is heard, and the door shakes on its hinges. Several more thumps occur, until the blade of an ax busts through the door. Smoke begins to form on the stage, as a dark figure steps out. Suddenly a woman voice yells out from the speaker.
"No, go away!
Leave me alone!"
Smoke billows down the aisle as the man walks down it to the ring, his identity shrouded in the smog. Meanwhile, on the titantron, the ax makes a large hole in the wood, and a hand reaches in for the door knob, the fingernails painted black. Again the frightened voice rings out as the mystery man slides into the ring.
"Don't you come in here!
I don't want you here.!"
The mystery man watches the titantron now, as the door opens, and the same man standing in the ring, steps into the house. A lightning bolt cracks behind him, equal in volume to the string of fireworks that fire up on the ramp. The man on the titantron rubs his thumb on the door, leaving a bloody smear on the polished oak. He lifts the ax with both hands, as the voice pleads.
"No, No, No, NO!!
The scream is cut off as the man swings the ax. Blood appears to splatter across the tron, and then the name "Nathan von Liebert" is written with a finger painted black. Nathan, who is in the ring, falls on his knees, never taking his eyes off the 'tron until it goes black. He then scans the members of the crowd that he could without contorting his torso, as Heather Lee announces him.
A dubstep mashup of Gregorian Chant by the Benedict Monks and Oblivion by Mastadon begins to play. The screen immediately goes black.
Zach Davis: Like we said last week, fans, the censors won't allow us to show Oblivion's full entrance. Which is good, because you REALLY don't want to see it.
The Lights cut out inside the arena as a the jumbo-tron lights up with a rebel flag, then all of a sudden the sounds of Kick it in the Sticks start to resonate through out the arena.
Welcome to the home of a hillbilly
All of a sudden Red Pyro shoots from the stage as John Thomas and Justin Turner walk onto the stage. Considering they're going into a Nathan von Liebert match, they're smart enough to not have their women with them.
Our side of a barbed wire
Justin slides into the ring as John climbs the steps and into the ring.
Shannan Lerch: Here we go!
Neither Nathan nor Oblivion wants to wait; they both run at Southern Discomfort and begin attacking them violently.
Zach Davis: Obviously this is completely against the rules.... and obviously, Nathan and Oblivion don't care.
Shannan Lerch: The Church of Dark Saints reuniting? Yeah, if I was that ref, I wouldn't want to tell them no either.
Nathan begins gouging the eyes of the High Flying Freak while Oblivion is biting John Thomas. The fans boo. Eventually Nathan picks Turner up and throws him out of the ring. He and Oblivion then grab Thomas and begin a Double Suplex.
Zach Davis: Poor Southern Discomfort-
But no!, Thomas lands on his feet and hits Nathan with a Superkick! Nathan is sent flying out of the ring, leaving only Thomas and Oblivion. Oblivion goes for a huge Lariat but Thomas ducks it and hits Oblivion with a Shining Wizard!
Shannan Lerch: John Thomas using his speed to take Oblivion and von Liebert by surprise! This could be an upset right here!
Thomas pins Oblivion, hooking the leg!
NO!, Oblivion powers out of it!
Zach Davis: CLOSE!
John Thomas backs up, watching Oblivion as he gets to his feet. He grabs him..
Shannan Lerch: He's going for the Southern Hangover!
But Oblivion shoves him away before hitting a Spinning Backhand Slap! Thomas is sent reeling, and Oblivion then runs at him and hits a Bulldog, taking him down. Oblivion tags in Nathan as Thomas dives and tags in Justin Turner.
Zach Davis: Two fresh men, here we go!
They meet in the middle of the ring and begin trading blows, with Nathan getting a clear upper hand and sending Turner reeling. However, Turner spots his opening and ducks away, Springboards out of nowhere and crashes into Nathan with a Moonsault!
Shannan Lerch: Justin Turner can do things in that ring no one else can! I mean, that move wasn't one of them, I guess, but it was still impressive!
Nathan gets to his feet and Turner lifts him up, hitting a Sitout Suplex Slam into a pin!
NO!, Nathan gets his shoulder up.
Zach Davis: Not yet!
Shannan Lerch: It would be huge for any of these guys to pin the current Hardcore Champion.
Turner tags Thomas back in. Thomas comes in and puts Justin into the Powerbomb position, then flips him onto Nathan von Liebert!
Zach Davis: Jack Daniels Special!
Thomas drops and pins Nathan as Turner runs at Oblivion to stop him from interfering.
NO!, Nathan kicks out!
Shannan Lerch: We almost had our number one contenders there!
Thomas picks Nathan up but Nathan gets away from him and dives, tagging in Oblivion. Oblivion comes in and tackles Thomas down, raining punches down at him. Soon, Thomas is busted open.
Zach Davis: Uh oh. Let's hope Nathan doesn't see that-
But it's too late, Nathan sees the blood on Thomas and something inside him snaps. He enters the ring, much to the referee's dismay, and once Oblivion is off Thomas, NvL begins choking the life out of him!
Shannan Lerch: Nathan.. or Vlad?.. is choking out the Hardcore Redneck!
The referee keeps yelling at Nathan to stop... but Nathan doesn't give any sign that he hears him. The ref has no choice but to call for the bell.
Zach Davis: Nathan von Liebert just gave up a chance at the Tag Team Titles! He's gotten his team DQed!
Shannan Lerch: Oblivion and Nathan are maniacs, I'm not sure if they care. They do what they want, when they want.
Justin Turner enters the ring and runs at Nathan, but Oblivion hits him with a Big Boot, taking him down. Turner rolls out of the ring as Nathan finally stops choking the bloodied John Thomas.
Zach Davis: Nathan von Liebert stands tall to end this match, but next week, we'll see Southern Discomfort get a shot at the Homegrown Players!
We fade in to Waylon Cash sitting at the bar during his bachelor party, his head hanging as he tries to be grateful to Scott for his efforts. He attempts to relax, and have fun, as was suggested, but his mind won't stop drifting back to thoughts of his captive fiance. One of the strippers Scott hired slowly steps up behind him, and places a hand on his shoulder.
Stripper: Hey there, sugar. You look sad. Maybe I can help.
Waylon chuckles, and takes a sip of his beer.
Waylon Cash: Ma'am, you got the wrong guy.
Stripper: Oh, I don't think I do.
Suddenly, Scott savage gently pushes the woman away.
Scott Savage: Wrong tree.
The woman shrugs, before walking off into the crowd.
Scott Savage: Waylon. I wanted to introduce you to someone.
Scott motions for someone to join them, and Kaylyn James Evans settles into the seat next to Waylon.
Kaylyn James Evans: Well hello handsome. You don't look like you're having near enough fun.
Waylon Cash: Hi. It's nice to meet you.
Kaylyn James Evans: Oh, come on now, I hear you and I got something in common. I hear you like to party as much as I do.
Waylon shakes his head, and takes another swallow of his beer.
Waylon Cash: Normally I do. Tonight just ain't my night.
Kaylyn James Evans: Well, let's see if we can make it your night.
Without waiting for a reply, she gently grabs his arm, and guides him across the room. She then opens a door, and steps into a small side room with a couple chairs. Waylon immediately sits down, and instead of taking the other chair, Kaylyn plops down in his lap.
Kaylyn James Evans: I got something I thought you might appreciate.
The woman reaches into her pocket, and pulls out a small, metal tin. She opens it to reveal a small bit of white powder.
Kaylyn James Evans: This is the good shit too.
She takes a little with her pinky nail, and holds it up to her nostril, inhaling sharply. She pauses for a moment, ebfore shakign her head.
Kaylyn James Evans: That's what I'm talking about! Here.
She takes a little for Waylon, and hold sit up for him to take. He stares down at the powder, and he wants to refuse. He wants to explain to Kaylyn that he is a recovering addict, and that cocaine almost ruined his life once. He wants to leave, and not come back, but everything that has happened in the last year comes rushing to his mind at once, pounding him with a merciless rush of anger and pain. All he wants is to go numb for a little while. What could it hurt? He drops down, and takes the offered bump. A feeling so familiar, so euphoric. He immediately feels re-energized. A smile comes across his face for the first time in what feels like forever.
Waylon Cash: Yes.
Shannan Lerch: Up next, we have quite a matchup. In tag team competition the Television Championship is on the line! The current champion, Sarah Twilight teams with fellow Genesis member, Roy Speede to take on the newly formed team of the Perfect Red Bulls, which consists of Freya Kane and Kaylyn James Evans.
Zach Davis: This one is interesting because if either Freya or Kaylyn manage to pin or submit Sarah, that person would then become the Television Champion. So this one is going to get exciting for sure!
Shannan Lerch: However, if Roy Speede winds up being pinned or submitted, the championship will not change hands. Smart move would be to keep Roy in the match as much as possible.
Zach Davis: I think we know well enough that that isn't going to happen. I expect some firece competition in this one.
Shannan Lerch: Let's take it down to Kyle Steel who is in the ring.
Kyle Steel: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall...and it is for the WCF Television Championship!
Huge pop from the crowd.
Kyle Steel: Introducing first, the challengers.....at a total combined weight of two hundred and forty five pounds....they are the team of Freya Kane and Kaylyn James Evans...THE PERFECT RED BULLS!!
The lights in the arena begin to dim down as the opening tones of "Shake That" by Eminem begin to fill the arena. Everyone in the arena stands at their feet as out comes Kaylyn James Evans and Freya Kane. The two ladies are doing what the song tells them to do, shaking that ass all over the stage. They meet in the middle as they grind on one another. Male fans cheer loudly as the two share a kiss and head to the ring. Freya slaps some hands along the way as Kaylyn ignores them. Once at the ringside area, the two ladies get onto the apron and slowly get up as their butts make contact. They head into the ring as they go back to shaking that ass for everyone to see. Kaylyn gives Freya's butt a slap as they head back into their corner while the music fades.
Kyle Steel: And their opponents....
The video wall comes to life as the words 'SILVER LINING' are displayed on the screen. This is followed by 'THE ONLY ONE' and the crowd is on their feet, as they know what this means.
Kyle Steel: At a total combined weight of three hundred and thirty two pounds...representing GENESIS, they are, "The Silver Lining" ROY SPEEDE and the reigning and defending WCF Television Champion... "The Mistress of Mischief" SARAH TWILIGHT!
At last, "Bitter End" by The Veer Union hits and the crowd ERUPTS! Roy Speede steps out on stage. He crosses his arms in an X across his chest, with his right arm underneath his left, and his hands in his fists. He bows his head for several seconds, and his chin rests in the gap between his fists. Pyros shoot up from the stage as Sarah finally walks out from behind the curtain with the Television Championship draped over her shoulder. She is greeted with deafening cheers and soaks them all in. Roy drops his right arm, and raises his left arm in the air, with his pointer, middle, and pinky fingers extended, and his ring finger and thumb tucked into his palm. His palm is facing the crowd. He drops his arm, and begins jogging to ringside, high-fiving fans as he goes, before climbing onto the apron, and then climbing the outside of the turnbuckle. He raises his left arm, with the same fingers extended as when he was on stage. He leaps from the turnbuckle into the ring. Meanwhile, the vibrant redhead confidently swaggers towards the ring and steps inside. Pyros now shoot off from the ring posts and Sarah takes to each turnbuckle in succession, pointing out toward the crowd and smiling as she holds the TV Title skyward in one hand. The cheers become even LOUDER. As the music continues, Sarah rolls outside of the ring and finds a young fan sitting at ringside. She removes her signature "You Don't Matter" tee shirt that she wears over her wrestling attire and gives it to the young fan before returning to the ring as the music dies down.
Zach Davis: This promises to be one hell of a match. We're ready to get under way!
Referee Emily Westbrook collects the TV Title from Sarah and holds it high above for everyone in the crowd to see. After handing it off to the time keeper, she calls for the bell.
Shannan Lerch: And it looks like Freya Kane will start things out with Sarah Twilight.
Freya wastes absolutely no time as she throws the idea of a standard tie-up out the window. Instead she fires off some hard palm strikes at Sarah, catching the redhead unexpectedly. The Television Champion is staggered back a few steps as Freya continues to unload. However, Sarah fires back, catching Kane with a European uppercut to back off the feisty woman. Freya stumbles back a few steps now, but is undeterred as she gets right back into the fight with some hard punches. She forces Sarah back against the ropes and sends her to the opposite end of the ring with an Irish whip. Kane with a leapfrog on the return and Sarah comes back off the ropes again and this time Freya attempts a clothesline. Sarah ducks under the attempt and follows up with an opportunistic neckbreaker.
Zach Davis: Fast paced, back and forth contest between the two.
Shannan Lerch: This will be the first time they are squaring off against each other in any capacity. It will be interesting to see how well they've scouted one another.
Sarah hauls Freya back to her feet after the neckbreaker only to be caught again unexpectedly as Freya delivers an exploder suplex out of nowhere. Kane wastes no time after executing the quick maneuver and she goes for an early pinfall attempt. Emily Westbrook is there for the count.
Sarah shoots her shoulder up off of the canvas.
Zach Davis: Freya Kane had to know that it was far too early to think about putting Sarah Twilight away.
Shannan Lerch: Yeah, but we've talked about this so many times before. The pinfalls force your opponent to exert energy to kick out. Multiple pinfalls throughout the match can wear someone down. I think that is going to be Freya's strategy.
Freya makes it back to her feet after the attempt, as does Sarah. Freya again takes Sarah for an Irish whip, however this time it is reversed and Freya instead finds herself rebounding off of the ropes. On the return, Sarah hauls her up for a Samoan drop, but Freya shifts her weight and instead pulls Sarah down into a crucifix pinning combination. Westbrook is there again for the count.
Sarah again forces her way off of the mat.
Zach Davis: It seems that is in fact the strategy that Freya is going for. The more pinfalls she goes for, the more she is forcing Sarah to use her eenergy to kick out.
Shannan Lerch: Though pinning her isn't going to be easy. It hasn't been done as of yet since she returned here in October. Freya Kane is going to have to bring everything she has, which I know she will.
Zach Davis: It would be quite the occasion if she...or Kaylyn were able to topple the Television Champion. Quite a bit of boasting to be done for certain.
Again both women roll back to their feet after the pinfall attempt. This time it is Sarah who catches Freya off guard as she levels her with a burst clothesline. Kane is down and a bit dazed by the manuever...Sarah is sitting in wait, measuring her. As Freya gets to her feet, Sarah delivers a kick to her gut and hauls her up for The Twilight Zone!
Zach Davis: Sarah looking to end this one fast!
Shannan Lerch: She isn't playing any games tonight, that's for sure.
However, once more Freya is able to wiggle herself free by shifting her weight. She slides down behind Sarah who immediately turns around to face her foe. Freya fires off with a koppu kick out of nowhere! She catches Sarah right in the forehead with it, knocking the redhead to the canvas. Freya once AGAIN makes the cover. Westbrook back in position.
Sarah again manages to kick her shoulders up off of the mat.
Zach Davis: Freya Kane virtually out of nowhere with that kick to the head! That was a close one!
Shannan Lerch: She needs to stay on her. Keep pushing that offense. Sarah would definitely benefit from a tag out right now. Freya, I think if she wants that championship gold, she is going to stay in this thing and keep bringing the pressure.
Freya gets back to her feet, slightly frustrated. She hauls Sarah back to her feet as well, and this time gets caught unexpectedly by a T-Bone suplex courtesy of the Television Champion. Freya hits the canvas hard and Sarah takes a moment to shake off the cobwebs after that nasty kick.
Shannan Lerch: Tide shifting again. Wow this action is all over the place!
Zach Davis: Anytime that championship gold is on the line, it brings out the best in the competitors involved. This is a shining example.
Sarah pulls herself back up just slightly before Freya starts making it back up herself. Sarah with a knee to the midsection, doubling Freya over and she follows up with a Sunset flip powerbomb! She stays with it, pinning Freya's shoulders to the canvas. Westbrook slides in for the count, checking the shoulders.
Freya shoots a shoulder up off of the mat.
Zach Davis: And now Freya Kane in a bit of trouble here. Sarah Twilight taking back control of the matchup...for the time being.
Shannan Lerch: This is what Freya doesn't want. You can't allow Sarah Twilight to gain momentum. If there is any hope of beating her, it has to be done with a lot of offense. Keep the Television Champion on the defensive and don't allow her to hit these high impact maneuvers.
Zach Davis: Sarah, yet to make any sort of tags. She definitely wants to do this alone if she can. But in a tag contest, I don't know how wise that is.
Sarah back to her feet and she hauls Freya up. But instead, Freya sends a standing dropkick at Sarah which sends her down to the mat. Sarah rolls back to her feet just in time to see Freya tag KJE into the match. Kaylyn enters the ring and rushes Sarah, but is caught with a NASTY powerslam. At this point, Roy Speede is on the apron, BEGGING for a tag. Sarah obliges and now Roy Speede enters the match.
Zach Davis: Here we go! Roy Speede wants him some of Kaylyn!
Shannan Lerch: That sounded ...dirty.
Zach Davis: I didn't mean it like THAT!
KJE gets to her feet after being caught unexpectedly with the powerslam. Roy gives her no reprieve as he starts right in, sending KJE up and over with a release German suplex. KJE is sent CRASHING into the canvas. Roy doesn't let up, he hauls her right back to her feet and whips her into the ropes. On the return he nearly folds her in HALF with a running shoulder tackle. KJE is taking a lot of punishment and it looks as though Roy is just getting started.
Shannan Lerch: Roy is definitely not giving her any breathing room. He is taking the fight to Kaylyn!
Zach Davis: To the best of my knowledge, Roy Speede has never beaten Kaylyn James Evans in a one on one encounter. I am sure that is fresh in his mind as he looks to make an example of her here tonight.
Shannan Lerch: Well, she walked out last time...
Zach Davis: Thats true.
Speede hauls Kaylyn back to her feet only to put her right back down with a float over DDT. Kaylyn's head bounces off of the canvas and Roy goes for the pinfall right away. Westbrook in position.
KJE shoots a shoulder up.
Zach Davis: Close call there! Roy trying to put Kaylyn away after a flurry of offense.
Shannan Lerch: Kaylyn not quite ready to surrender. But she needs to do something, and fast!
What she does...for the time being is get hauled back to her feet by Roy Speede. Though she fires off a stiff kick to his gut that backs him off. She follows up with a HARD knee to the face that forces Roy back. She hooks him up for a Northern Lights suplex, but Speede blocks the attempt, and instead takes her over with a suplex of his own. KJE again hits the canvas HARD.
Shannan Lerch: KJE trying to get back in this, but things aren't looking good.
Zach Davis: Not at all. Speede has remained on the offensive.
Roy seizes the opportunity as KJE is down and he hops up onto the turnbuckle, looking for the Speede Bump! However, he missteps with his footing and slips off of the rope hitting the canvas HARD! This gives KJE plenty of time to compose herself.
Zach Davis: He slipped! That HAD to hurt!
Shannan Lerch: Sometimes that's all it takes it just one mistake. Roy's could end up being costly.
KJE is back on the attack now as she measures Roy as he slowly makes it to his own feet. KJE tackles him with a HARD spear. She seems to be decently pissed off after taking her fair share of a beating courtesy of Roy and she stays on him, bringing him back to his feet only to send him right back down with a piledriver. Now it is Freya Kane, who has had some time to recuperate herself, who wants in the matchup. KJE obliges her now.
Zach Davis: Freya Kane back in the match. Roy Speede in trouble after that misstep.
Shannan Lerch: Except that pinning Roy really holds no value to Freya or Kaylyn if they want that championship gold.
Freya enters the ring as Roy pulls himself back up on wobbly legs only to be caught by a shining enziguri that sends him falling back to the canvas. Freya grabs hold of Speede and starts to drag him toward his own corner. However, Roy starts to fight, sending a few shots at Freya. She answers by dropping him down with a DDT. Roy is dazed at this point and Freya continues to drag him towards his own corner.
Shannan Lerch: That answers that. Freya Kane knows what she has to do in order to walk out of here with gold. She wants Sarah Twilight back in this thing.
Zach Davis: I don't think that'd going to be a problem.
Freya gets Roy to the corner and makes it clear she wants Sarah back in the match. Sarah doesn't hesitate as she slaps Roy's hand and steps into the ring.
Zach Davis: And here we go!
Sarah and Freya get at it immediately as the two fire off shots at one another. Neither one of them gaining a decisive advantage. Fists flying as the two vixens battle it out.
Shannan Lerch: And the battle erupts in the center of the ring! This is crazy!
Freya grabs hold of Sarah's forearm and sends her for a whip into the ropes that is once again reversed. Freya on the rebound and she comes at Sarah now with a shining enziguri. However, Sarah ducks the kick and Freya hits nothing but air. She is spun around and taken over with a fall away slam that sends Freya partially across the ring toward her own corner.
Zach Davis: Sarah taking that opening after the missed shot by Kane.
Shannan Lerch: But Freya is in a position to make a tag.
Zach Davis: She'd be foolish to at this point.
Freya staggers back to her feet and Sarah remains on the offensive, sending another kick into Freya's midsection and now AGAIN she hauls her up for the Twilight Zone. But again, Freya is able to position herself and slide away from the attempt. In the process, she sets hersself up and NAILS Sarah with the Red Bull Killer Elbow!
Shannan Lerch: Holy CRAP that was out of nowhere! Sarah is definitely in trouble here!
Zach Davis: It could be over right now!
Sarah is down on the canvas after the elbow and Freya takes a few steps back, measuring Sarah. She has the Television Champion in her sights for Death By Red Bull. Sarah is a bit dazed after the shot as she is slow to get back up. She makes it to one knee and Freya is teeming with adrenaline, she is waiting...waiting....
Zach Davis: This could be it! If Freya Kane nails this it very well could be over!
Shannan Lerch: Sarah doesn't know what's coming!
Suddenly, Kaylyn reaches over and tags herself into the match. A stunned Freya looks at her in disbelief. However, just for principle, she decides to go for her pattented maneuver anyway. She moves toward Sarah, and this draws Roy Speede into the ring. Freya abandons her focus on Sarah and intercepts him. The two begin to brawl and eventually tumble to the outside, still fighting. Meanwhile, KJE confidently enters the ring where Sarah is in the process of making it to her feet.
Shannan Lerch: Kaylyn looks to take this one for herself with a vulnerable Twilight.
Zach Davis: We may be about to have a new Television Champion!
KJE heads over to Sarah and grabs her up from behind for the KY-BOMB. However, she is never able to hook the arms completely as Sarah drops down, rolling Kaylyn over her shoulder and blocking the attempt. KJE turns back around and is met with a boot to her abdomen. Sarah hauls her up...
Shannan Lerch: TWILIGHT ZONE!
Zach Davis: Good night Kaylyn!
Sarah drops Kaylyn to the canvas with authority. Back on the oustide, Roy dives at Freya who ducks and Roy hits the ringpost FACE FIRST! In the ring, Sarah drops down for the cover. Westbrook in position.
Freya rushes toward the ring, sliding inside.
But it's just a second too late. The bell rings.
Kyle Steel: Here are your winners....ROY SPEEDE and STILL WCF Television Champion...SARAH TWILIGHT!
Zach Davis: Wow! What a contest! I think Freya may have possibly had this one. We have no way of knowing for sure, but Kaylyn's haste I think might have cost them the match.
Shannan Lerch: She saw an opportunity and she went for it...though that momentary lapse it caused and the confusion with Freya wound up working against them. This was a hard fought battle for sure. In the end, Sarah Twilight emerges with her Television Championship in tact.
Roy is shaking off the cobwebs after blasting himself into the ringpost as the two celebrate. Sarah collects her Television Championship and proudly displays it skyward as she stands on the turnbuckle. Sarah and Roy finally exit the ring and continue up the ramp with the celebration. Freya is left in the ring with her hands on her hips, looking down at KJE.
Shannan Lerch: I don't think Freya can be happy with how things turned out.
Zach Davis: Can you blame her? I think she feels she may have had it.
Freya helps Kaylyn to her feet. Kaylyn starts to explain but Freya just shakes her head at Evans before exiting the ring in utter disgust.
Shannan Lerch: Well, we might have just witnessed the very early implosion of the Perfect Red Bulls. Freya Kane is NOT happy.
Zach Davis: Things could have gone a bit differently, you never know for certain. But I'd say Freya has a legitimate gripe here. She very well could have been on her way to becoming the next Television Champion. It wasn't a guarantee, but things were definitely looking to be in her favor.
Shannan Lerch: She leaves Kaylyn in the ring and that puts an end to this chapter of the night, at least.
After the commercial break the camera opens up back stage as you see John Gable walking down the hall. As the camera pans down the hall, Vengeance is seen wearing a black suit, black shirt, and a red tie. Vengeance notices Gable as he stops in the middle of the hall way, blocking the path for Gable.
Vengeance: Well Well, John Gable I have been looking for you. I think you and I need to chat.
John Gable: I’m not in the mood for a chat. I’m not in the mood for anything at the current moment.
John tries to move pass Vengeance, but he merely keeps in Gable’s way. Vengeance holds his hand out to prevent the actor from passing.
Vengeance: Listen Gable, you know you keep getting screwed week after week. You keep winning yet you aren’t going anywhere, just like me. Couple weeks ago, you and I were once again the underdogs and once again proved everyone wrong just like we do week in and week out. What does that give us, John? Not a fucking thing.
Furling his brow, Gable gets in Vengeance’s face.
John Gable: I don’t need you to tell me what I don’t fucking have. I am about to break through this glass ceiling and put this place on the map. Don’t lump me in with where you are.
Vengeance places his hands on John’s shoulders consolingly.
Vengeance: But, you came here to use your wrestling skills to take you somewhere. You have the skills but you are always going to be road blocked by the co-conspiring clique of WCF. Is that what you want? You want to be like the Eric Prices? Sarah Twilights? Is that the type of career you want to be remembered by? Being in the bubble?
Gable shrugs him off.
John Gable: I have never kissed anyone’s ass ever and I am not about to start. You better be getting to a point soon, because you are just pissing me off right now.
Vengeance: Look man, you and I both signed a contract here for a reason. We both wanted to be remembered and we both want to earn our way up the ladder the right way. I’m sure as hell not joining the ass kissing club and I know you won’t either. John, I’m telling you and I are more alike than different. I want you to join me, together we will do great things. As much as you want to think you can do this on your own, deep down inside you realize that is not going to happen. The time of people like you and I setting back and wrestling who ever week in and week out are over. What I’m telling you is simple, one by one we will carve a path of destruction through the WCF until we get what we want. I know you have seen what I have done. I’ve ended the career of Mr. Jack Happy, I have scared Damien away. This will continue until the WCF management takes notice of us and gives us what we deserve. Great things will happen John, but you cannot do it on your own!
John rubbed his chin as he pondered the options.
John Gable: Hmm, I couldn’t disagree more about me doing it on my own, but why should I? In the objectively best of all possible worlds, I should be world champ. I could fight my way up the ranks, but who knows how long that could take and as an actor, I have very little time to waste. I guess these sorts of decisions are the ones that make history. I want go over a few details before we get anything in ink. Can we move this discussion somewhere more secure?
Vengeance: Of course John follow me.
Vengeance turns around headed back down the hall as John Cable follows him the camera turns back to Zach Davis, Shannan Lerch.
Shannan Lerch: Main event time!
Zach Davis: Ugh, I used to love main event time but now…
Shannan Lerch: Why do you hate Eric Price so much?
Zach Davis: He’s an arrogant self-absorbed asshole.
Kyle Steel: The following match is a tag team contest and is scheduled for one fall.
“Hero/Papercut” Skillet vs Linkin Park starts playing over the speakers. A Cross is lowered on stage and on the bottom of it are three holes. As the camera does a close up of it, the holes make the bottom of the cross look like Tek's mask and smoke comes out of the mouth as Steeltoe Joe and Tek come out and make their way to the ring.
Kyle Steel: Introducing first, at a combined weight of 497 lbs., standing respectively at 6’2” and 6’5” tall, please welcome the Wildcard, Tek and the WCF People’s Champion, Steeltoe Joe … Prophecy!
Crowd cheers loudly
Zach Davis: And Prophecy making their way down to the ring here, looking for retribution after last week, the WCF World Champion, the increasingly paranoid, psychotic Eric Price…
Shannan Lerch: WHAT?! What kind of words are that you’re using to describe our World Champion? What’s the matter with you?
Zach Davis: I’m just calling it like it was a five on two assault last week, a mugging really against a defenseless, bruised, and beaten Prophecy but this week, they are fresh, they are ready to go and they are looking to make him pay for his atrocities last week. This crowd certainly would love to see that.
“Sympathy for the Devil” by the Rolling Stones starts playing over the speakers of the AT&T Center as boos start filling the arena and Davey Ortega stands on the top of the entrance ramp simply looking down at Prophecy who is ready to start this match in the ring.
Kyle Steel: And their opponents, introducing first, standing at 6’ 0” tall, weighing in at 175 lbs., from Atlantic Citiy, New Jersey, he is known as The Genius, The Jewel of the East, he is Davey Ortega.
Zach Davis: And here comes the World Champion’s kiss ass.
Shannan Lerch: Whoa, that’s not what he is. He simply understands the points the World Champion has made about the Pantheon administration and he has been vocal about it as he stands up on the stage but looks like he’s waiting up there.
“You Know My Name” by Chris Cornell starts playing over the speaker system as the crowd in the AT&T center starts booing massively as the WCF World Champion, Mr. Eric Price makes his way from the back and shakes hands with Davey Ortega as he has a huge grin on his face as he has the WCF World Title draped over his shoulder as both Ortega and Price make their way down to the ring.
Kyle Steel: And his partner, standing at 6’ 4” tall, weighing in at 245 lbs., from Pacific Palisades, California, he is the WCF World Heavyweight Champion, the greatest champion of all time, Mr. Eric Price!
Zach Davis: Greatest champion of all time? Must be a rehearsed entrance.
Shannan Lerch: Come on, he’s just telling the truth.
Zach Davis: Well, as these two men make their way to the ring, Prophecy looks ready to go and both men stand right outside the ring and slide in as Eric Price rubs the World Title right in the face of Prophecy, Ortega supporting the champ.
Shannan Lerch: As well he should and so should you. I know I do.
Zach Davis: I’m sure you do, how much is he paying you for the support?
Shannan Lerch: Come now, he doesn’t need to pay me. A champion that stands by his principles and that simply demands the respect he deserves, nothing wrong with that.
Zach Davis: Well nevertheless, Price and Ortega look ready to start this matchup as Price is giving the title to the referee but wait, Price runs and oh my God, hits Steeltoe Joe with the World Championship right in the face. What a disgusting human being!
Shannan Lerch: The referee holding Tek back here who is outright livid as Steeltoe Joe is coming to here, Price and Ortega with huge grins on their faces happy with what they’ve done.
The referee goes to check on Steeltoe Joe as the crowd is booing extremely loudly
Crowd: You suck! You suck! You suck!
Eric Price grabs a microphone from the ring announcer.
Eric Price: Aww….what’s the matter Joseph, are you hurt? You can’t wrestle here tonight! Is that it, you want to throw in the towel like the coward that you are. And I want you to know, that hit, that shot to the face was not for me, no no, that was for all the people whose jobs you cost by blowing up my production studio.
Zach Davis: Oh please, like he cares.
Shannan Lerch: Now now, he loves his staff and simply is trying to give them some justice. He is a job creator, a magnanimous individual, a great…
Zach Davis: Oh please, quit with the gushing love fest!
Eric Price: Come on ref, he can’t compete. Throw the match out and declare us the winners.
Crowd boos loudly
Zach Davis: Forfeit? What a jerk!
The referee checking on STJ who is slowly coming to as Price and Ortega continue to badger the referee.
Eric Price: Come on, declare us the winners! We all know Prophecy are weak, religious people are of the weakest convictions and of the weakest principles. And we can see that Joseph here is weak as he can’t even make it up so therefore, we are the winners and they are the losers! Unless that is if Tek wants to compete in a handicap match. Huh, what do you say?
Tek is being heavily restrained by the referee who is infuriated as STJ is still coming to. Price taunting STJ here.
Zach Davis: What an egotistical maniac as Price now taunting the People’s Champion, what kind of a sick World Champion do we have?
Shannan Lerch: A great World Champion who is showing his strength but oh no, Joe runs right at Price and takes him out with a vicious clothesline. And the referee takes the World Title as he rings the bell and this match is now underway, this is not fair!
Zach Davis: Oh yes it is, turnabout is fair play. Price wants to give a cheap shot, then Steeltoe Joe will retaliate! Perfectly fair!
Shannan Lerch: What a biased story you’re telling!
Zach Davis: The truth! Nevertheless, this match underway as Ortega steps to one corner and Tek to the opposite corner as STJ goes for the cover on Price.
Shannan Lerch: And no, a kick out from Price as this match starts in such a volatile way here. And STJ immediately starts punching away at Price who is helpless here, come on!
Zach Davis: This is great! Price finally getting what he deserves here as STJ unloads on this self righteous jackass. Price trying to crawl his way as best he can to his tag team partner and he decides to tag in Ortega as STJ looks positively livid. Joe decides to tag in Tek here. Tag is made and Ortega gets on the top rope waiting for Tek to get in the ring. Tek comes in but Ortega makes the jump and hits clothesline from the air.
Shannan Lerch: Wow, and Tek is down here as Ortega has started in this match with a bang. Ortega goes for a cover as well.
Zach Davis: And a kickout. These men are definitely looking for an early victory here tonight as they really want to show Prophecy that they are not to be trifled with. But only one team will prevail here tonight. Tek trying to recover and get back to his corner but Ortega says no as he starts stomping on Tek repeatedly here, really trying to wear him down here. And Ortega goes in now for a headlock on Tek. This is considered a submission maneuver. And Tek trying to hang on here.
Shannan Lerch: Looks like he’s fading here Zach. The referee doing his job here and checking Tek’s arm to see if he’s still in this; raises it and yes, a clenched fist as Tek fights on. And Tek now trying to roll his way out of this headlock as Ortega only locks it in even tighter. Tek trying to inch himself closer to the bottom rope. He’s almost there, just a fingertip away and he’s got it!
Zach Davis: And the referee informing Ortega of this. The referee counts 1 and Ortega removes the hold as Tek is still holding that rope recovering from the headlock. Price now insisting to be tagged in, he wants in this match. Not surprising as he can take on Tek in this condition. But Tek is inching closer to his corner here as well and he needs to make a tag. Ortega goes to his corner and tags in Price as Price runs toward Tek but Tek makes a tag to STJ here. And STJ is now in this match up. Price trying to negotiate his way out of this, telling STJ to take it easy here for a second.
Shannan Lerch: Looks like Price won’t be able to talk his way out of this one as STJ quickly grabs Price’s arm and throws him toward the ropes and STJ goes to the opposite side to meet Price with a clothesline here.
Zach Davis: And he hit it. Price is down here but he quickly recovers as STJ meets him with another clothesline. Price gets up again and another clothesline. Price is down now. STJ goes for the cover.
Zach Davis: And another kickout by Price. STJ definitely not going to tolerate any more of Price’s crap tonight as he’s all business trying to secure that shot at the titles. STJ bringing Price up here but Price reverses it and bam, Olympic Slam on STJ. STJ on the ropes so Price slides him in here and begins to stomp on him repeatedly wearing him down. Oh look at this arrogance, he’s just signaling that he’s making quick work of STJ as the audience is getting on him for it.
Crowd: Asshole! Asshole! Asshole!
Shannan Lerch: He has a right to be confident, he’s the World Champion! Price grabbing STJ’s legs here and looks like he’s going to try to go for a submission move here but STJ is fighting him. Price responds with a kick to the gut of STJ. And I think he’s going to lock it in here. Yes, sharpshooter!
Zach Davis: Price has the sharpshooter locked in. He has it in real tight as the crowd is firmly behind STJ here. STJ is hanging on, really trying to endure the pain and look at the smile on Price’s face. He thinks he has this match here.
Shannan Lerch: And Tek is now coming into this match, illegally I might add and he kicks Price to break up the submission hold.
Zach Davis: He had to save the matchup for his team. And Ortega quickly coming in and clotheslines Tek out of the ring. The referee needs to restore order to this match. And Ortega heads back to his corner as Price quickly goes over and tags him in. STJ still recovering and Ortega brings him up and yes, he’s going to try to torture him here with a suplex but STJ is preventing it. He’s blocking Ortega’ leg. Repeated elbows to Ortega here as Ortega release the grip he had on STJ. Ortega goes back to his corner to tag Price in again. Price comes in and as STJ is recovering, he tries to go for a clothesline but STJ sees him and also tries for a clothesline of his own here and this is a collision!
Shannan Lerch: Both men hit each other with clotheslines and they’re down in the middle of the ring. Tek is just coming back to his corner after being knocked down. He’s itching for the tag here as STJ is down. Ortega itching to tag himself back in here as Price is down. Both men recovering here and they’re crawling to their respective corners. Both men slowly crawling, slowly, and a tag made from STJ to Tek. And another tag made from Price to Ortega.
Zach Davis: Tek and Ortega the legal men in this match now. Both men meet in the center of the ring trading blows, a punch to Tek, a punch to Ortega. Both men holding their ground, another punch to Tek, another punch to Ortega. And Tek seems to have the upper hand as he lands another punch, and another, and another to Ortega here. And he has him on the ropes here as Ortega goes from side of the ring to the other, Tek meets Ortega with a clothesline! Ortega is down here. And I think Tek’s calling for it!
Crowd: Tek, Tek, Tek!
Shannan Lerch: Yes, he gets to the corner as Ortega is slowly calling for it!
Zach Davis: I’ve heard of this move, and superkick right to the face of Ortega! Tek calls this move “On The Button”. Let’s see if he can capitalize. Cover!
Shannan Lerch: And Eric Price quickly runs in to save the matchup for his team. Price quickly drags Ortega back to his corner and gets to the outside and Price is so smart here. Ortega tags out to get Price in here who was a huge smirk on his face. Tek slowly making his way to his corner as Price simply looks on and is waiting for STJ to be tagged in. Tek is able to tag in STJ who is more than ready to face Price here.
Zach Davis: And what is this display, Price getting on his knees here begging for mercy! What a coward. STJ looks on as the crowd is cheering him on to beat the hell out of Eric Price! STJ is not going to have this and simply grabs Price by the hair and throws Price into the ropes and Price bounces back to the ropes as STJ ducks out of the way and the ref is accidentally knocked out! The ref is out!
Suddenly, someone jumps the guardrail. It’s a Hispanic looking man with tattoos all over his body. He attacks the nearby timekeeper and throws him out of his chair, folds up his chair and walks by the ring. He grabs STJ’s feet who is near the edge of the ring and hasn’t noticed him yet and yanks him down. He pulls him out of the ring and as he staggers around, he walks right into a vicious chairshot from the Hispanic man. He looks up at Tek who is in the corner and tries to stop him but this man runs right out into the crowd and throws up a Mara handsign before escaping d as security shows up at ringside and STJ tries to get back into this matchup.
Zach Davis: What the hell kind of heinous assault is this? That’s the only way Price knows how to compete, by cheating!
Shannan Lerch: The referee didn’t see it therefore it’s not illegal. Eric Price stepping to the outside and dragging Steeltoe Joe back into the ring. Cover!
Zach Davis: But the referee is out, Price knocked him out just a bit ago. Tek quickly jumps into the matchup as he starts stomping away at Price but Ortega quickly runs in and clotheslines Tek out of the ring. Ortega brings the referee to and the referee slowly starts counting.
Shannan Lerch: And no, a kick out, how did he manage to kick out? Price in shock here as he does not know what to do to put STJ away here tonight. Ortega brings up STJ here for Price as Price simply looks at him with disgust here and oh no, Reversal of Fortune. This has got to be it. Cover!
Zach Davis: And the lying cheating scoundrels steal this matchup!
Kyle Steel: Here are your winners, Davey Ortega and the WCF World Champion, Mr. Eric Price!
Shannan Lerch: Steal, no, they earned this victory and they earned it well.
Zach Davis: Oh please, they pulled out every trick in the book. Oh come on, what is this now? The match is over with!
Shannan Lerch: I think Eric Price wants to teach Prophecy a bit more of a lesson.
Zach Davis: This is sickening!
Eric rushes at STJ with the World Championship, but STJ ducks it and instead sends Eric through the ropes and to the outside. Ortega is also sent to the outside by Tek. The World Champion is seething at being disrespected yet again. Ortega looks none too happy either. Suddenly, Gravedigger, Adrian and another two members of MS-13 emerge. The group surrounds the ring along with Eric Price and Davey Ortega.
Zach Davis: AGAIN? A six on two assault AGAIN? COME ON!
Shannan Lerch: Our world champion is making a statement. One that Prophecy obviously didn't heed very well after last week. Perhaps another round will open their eyes?
Zach Davis: This is sick...it's bullshit and you know it!
Eric is grinning like a cheshire cat right now as Gravedigger assembles his troops, ready to strike. STJ asks for a mic and is handed one by a stagehand. Eric decides to entertain the idea of allowing him to speak, being as it wouldn't matter anyway.
Steeltoe Joe: So this is how its gonna be? You bring your crew out here to finish us off?
Eric mouths something to the effect of 'Absolutely.' from ringside. The group of thugs all climb onto the apron, still surounding Prophecy. Tek and STJ look ready to fight.
Zach Davis: There is no way they can fend off all of them. Just no way!
Shannan Lerch: They look ready for a fight to me. Let them have what they want.
Zach Davis: Are you on DRUGS?!
Shannan Lerch: Well if you count the xana--I mean...NO! Why would you ask such a thing?
Steeltoe Joe: Well we saw what you were all about last week, Eric. We knew you'd try something like this again.
Shannan Lerch: And yet you still showed up?
Steeltoe Joe: But we are ready for you this week. You see, we went and got ourselves a little back-up this time!
The crowd cheers and Eric raises a brow "Oh Yeah?" he then proceeds to laugh just as Joe looks toward the entrance ramp as "The Only One" by Evanescence hits the arena. The crowd goes WILD. Eric's eyes go wide as he GLARES toward the entrance.
Zach Davis: Finally! Prophecy has some back up! And it ccomes in the form of the Television Champion!
Shannan Lerch: They are still outnumbered, Zach. It was a nice idea, but seriously?
Gravedigger waves his hand at Eric as to say 'I got this' as he hops down from the apron. Sarah emerges from behind the curtain and onto the stage to even MORE cheers. Gravedigger starts his way toward her. It isn't long before the Tag Team Champions, Steve Orbit and Waylon Cash also emerge from the back along with Roy Speede as well. The remaining three members of MS-13 hop down from the apron as well, to join Gravedigger now.
Zach Davis: She isn't coming alone! She's bringing Genesis with her!
Shannan Lerch: No! This shouldn't be allowed. This is disrespecting our World Champion!
Zach Davis: I love it!
Sarah and Gravedigger immediately start going at it as the meet mid-ramp. Fists fly as the two of them are relentless at one another. Orbit, Cash and Speede start brawling with MS-13 and the chaos is spilling everywhere.
Zach Davis: Some heated tensions between Sarah Twilight and Gravedigger stemming from the Trios Cup Finals last year. They have no love lost for one another!
Shannan Lerch: Genesis shouldn't even be out here, why are they here?
Zach Davis: Well Shannan, it would appear as though Prophecy...is now Genesis!
The brawling on the outside continues, leaving Davey Ortega and Eric Price alone with Tek and STJ. Tek charges Ortega and the two land hard on the outside, swinging fists at one another. Through the confusion, Eric again rushes at STJ with the World Championship, but instead he is caught by Joe and sent CRASHING down with THE BAPTISM!
Zach Davis: YES! YES! STEELTOE JOE WITH A MEASURE OF REVENGE! ERIC PRICE IS OUT!
Shannan Lerch: NO! NO! NO! THIS ISN'T FAIR! THIS ISN'T FAIR!
Eric Price is laid out as STJ bends down to pick up the World Championship, looking at it intently. The brawls on the outside have broken up at this point and Gravedigger calls MS-13 to back off and retreat...for now. The members of Genesis make their way into the ring along with Tek. Orbit and Cash hosit STJ up onto thir shoulders as he still holds Eric Price's World Championship. The crowd is going BANANNAS!
Zach Davis: Could we be looking at the next World Champion? Will it be Steeltoe Joe who receives the opportunity to face Eric Price?
Shannan Lerch: I sure hope not!
We fade out as the newest members of Genesis celebrate this victory of principle in the ring.
“White Trash Renegade” blares over the speakers, as Waylon Cash steps out onto the entrance ramp. This time there is no dancing, no smile, only blood shot eyes, and a hateful grimace. He ignores the fans, as he heads right to the ring, and grabs a mic.
Waylon Cash: Where are you?! Come on you fuckin' coward! Where are you, NvL?! I want your ass out here now! I ain't waitin'. I'll find your ass if I have to.
Suddenly, the image of NvL's face flickers onto the big screen. He chuckles at Waylon, who is now pacing back and forth across the ring, as if he is filled with angry energy that begs to be released.
NvL: It's unlikely that you'll find me. I'm far from the arena at this point. Here, in a safe location, with my new friend.
The camera turns to reveal Roxxanne Savage, tied to a chair, with a bandana around her mouth, preventing her from speaking. Her make-up is streaked with tears, as her muffled screams echo through the arena. Waylon screams out, and shakes the ropes, before pacing some more.
NvL: Don't worry, she's fine... for now. One thing is for sure, she is mine, and I think it is going to stay that way. Here's what I am offering her. I will bring her with me next week, and if you don't find some way to behave civilly toward me, I will hurt her. I will hurt her badly, Waylon, make no mistake, and the first thing I think I'll do with my new leverage is demand that you hand over the tag team titles to me and Oblivion. Don;t worry. You have a week to think about it.
NvL leans in and licks Roxxy's cheek, as she screams, and the screen goes to black. Back in the ring, Waylon has been worked into a frothing rage.
Shannan Lerch: This is not the Waylon Cash we're used to seeing. Something is definitely different about him.
He screams out for NvL to come out, before rolling out of the ring. His blind anger, he begins ripping the panels off of the announce table. He chucks one of the monitors, and almost hits a fan. That's when Zach Davis stands up and tries to stop him. Waylon grabs the announcer, and drags him from around the back of the table. With murder in his eyes, he lifts Zach up, and powerbombs him through the announce table, leaving him unconscious on the ground. Security tackles him quickly, and drags him from the arena, as he screams death threats to NvL the entire way.
Zach Davis: Well fans... Timebomb is going to be quite the unpredictable PPV... and we'll see you there.
Slam fades to black.
