The cuts cuts away from the arena and fades into a hospital room somewhere in Dallas. A few doctors can be seen hurriedly walking in front of the camera, making sure that the patient occupying the room is okay. One doctor, Dr. Timothy Williams checks some things off his checklist before turning to the TV. Next to him is one of his peers, Dr. Gonzales.
Gonzales: You really think it'd be a good idea to get Pay-per-view in this dude's room? You know how much those things cost these days.
Williams turns his attention toward Gonzales, caught by surprise.
Williams: Don't worry, we're just adding this to the dude's bill. Besides, he's one of theirs, he should be able to afford it.
Both men turn to the patient currently snoozing in their bed. Although a bit of a beard has grown on him during his time in a coma, he is still recognizable to WCF fans as FPV. He is still stuck in a coma after his brutal Crucifixion match at One with NvL.
Gonzales: Whatever, you done with you're tests?
Williams: Mmhmm. We should be done for the night. You heard about how this dude ended up in here, right?
Gonzales: I don't really pay attention to this male soap opera crap, but please, enlighten me.
Williams: Well one of his rivals killed his childhood friend, so he tried to avenge him. But all he got for his troubles was the displeasure of being literally crucified on life TV.
There is a 4-second awkward silence in the room, before Gonzales breaks down into loud, uncontrollable laughter.
Gonzales: Friggin'....friggin' dead friend...CRUCIFIXION HAHAHAHA. OH...oh that's gold Timmy, that's fucking GOLD.
Williams: Dude, I am dead friggin' serious. You can check this dude's wrists if you want to.
Not even attempting to look like he cares, Gonzales walks out the room still laughing, leaving Williams alone with FPV. Williams sighs before sitting down next to FPV and beginning to talk to him as if he were a loved one.
Williams: Dude...I ain't gonna' lie. When you wake up, you're life is gonna' SUCK. Eric Price is champion, Jonny Fly is WCF owner, NvL is still running around...
In a split second, Williams speech is cut off. Right in front of him, the eyes of FPV have suddenly opened, followed by a loud gasp of air. Williams is in total shock, and attempts to call for the other doctors' attention before being locked into a staredown from the newly awoken FPV, who talks with a somewhat sickly voice.
FPV: What...did you...just say?
Williams can only stammer until FPV ditches the sick voice and begins shouting at the man.
FPV: I SAID WHAT...DID YOU...JUST SAY!?!
Williams: All I said was the NvL was still running around, that's all, don't get-
Williams can't even finish talking before being cut off.
FPV: DON'T YOU FUCKING TELL ME TO NOT GET MAD, I'MMA GET AS FUCKING MAD AS I WANT TO BE GODDAMNIT! I'M GETTING RIGHT THE FUCK-
FPV throws the blankets off of him before sitting up and motioning to get out of the bed. However, he is not aware that there is still entropy in his legs, and promptly falls flat on his face, right in front of Williams. He shouts in pain before turning to the doctor.
FPV: What's your name?
FPV: What floor am I on?
Williams: Second floor, just please tell me what the fuck you're doing?
FPV: Get me a wheelchair, I'm getting out of this joint!
Williams: But you just woke up from a fucking coma! Besides you need to check out the hospital fir-
FPV: JUST GET ME A GODDAMN WHEELCHAIR.
Scared out of his wits, Williams gets up and goes to retrieve the wheelchair that FPV has requested. Back at the American Airlines Center, the crowd is going fucking BONKERS!
Zach Davis: WOW! FPV is awake!
Shannan Lerch: And he's fucking pissed as hell. This can not be good for anybody.
New Alphabet by Eels hits and TIMEBOMB is on the air!
Zach Davis: Tick tock! Welcome to Timebomb!
Shannan Lerch: The Trilogy Cup Tournament starts tonight!, and Steeltoe Joe gets his first ever PPV World Title match! What a show!
Zach Davis: That's right. After Prophecy terrorized Price and blew up his production studio, they also joined Genesis. Can Joe bring the World Title home to Genesis for the first time ever and finish his vendetta against Price? We'll see.
Shannan Lerch: Speaking of the World Title, a multi-PPV tournament is beginning tonight, with the winner earning the Trilogy Cup. We've got Odin Balfore versus Benjamin Atreyu.
Zach Davis: That's right! Huge match there, as these two are former Tag Team Champions. Lord knows they've never gotten along, and it all comes to a head tonight.
Shannan Lerch: Also, three of our singles Champions are going to compete to see who moves on in the tournament. Nathan von Liebert, Christopher Kane, and Sarah Twilight.
Zach Davis: There is certainly no love lost between Sarah and Nathan, that's for sure. Christopher Kane, the Internet Champion, is a wildcard. Being the son of a WCF legend, though, anything is possible here!
Shannan Lerch: And keep in mind, per the rules of the TV Title, it IS indeed on the line.
Zach Davis: We've got two legends of the WCF ring competing as Skyler Striker takes on Davey Ortega. Ortega has recently aligned himself with Gravedigger and Eric Price, so he finds himself in prestigious company. Striker, however, is a member of Pantheon, so.... this should be an excellent matchup.
Shannan Lerch: We've also got Ana Valentine, G-Money, and Tek in a Triple Threat as part of the tournament! That one is definitely anyone's match. Very interesting to see how this all turns out.
Zach Davis: Naturally, anything can happen, and whoever wins tonight, we can't guarantee they'll make it to our next PPV, Explosion. If any of these wrestlers would be injured or unable to compete in any point during the tournament, they would be replaced by the winner of our Deuce Maximus versus Judge Mental matchup.
Shannan Lerch: Deuce Maximus and Judge Mental are also two newcomers making waves! This is the most important match of both mens WCF careers, by far.
Zach Davis: We also can't forget that.. FINALLY.. after months and months of waiting.. Jay Price has finally gotten his United States Title shot, and he's up against the Scoutmaster, Stuart Slane.
Shannan Lerch: Yes indeed!, this has to be one of the most hotly anticipated matches of recent memory. Can Price bring the United States Title to Pantheon?
Zach Davis: The Scoutmaster is consistently one of the winning-est men in the company, Shannan. This is going to be a big one.
Shannan Lerch: Southern Discomfort earned a Tag Team Titles shot, and they're up against the Homegrown Players here tonight. The Players fought like hell to get those Tag Team Titles, but...
Zach Davis: ...but, due to the actions of Nathan von Liebert, Waylon Cash seems to be completely losing it. After what we saw last week and his "Bachelor's party," you've got to wonder if Waylon will even be in any condition to compete.
Shannan Lerch: We thought Freya Kane and Kaylyn James Evans were going to be our next big tag team, but.. they quickly imploded. They're now going one on one here tonight!
Zach Davis: Oblivion, Hot Shot Johnny Gunn, and Buzzsaw Bundy are in a Triple Threat. I'd be scared if I was Gunn, those are two intense individuals.
Shannan Lerch: Roy Speede is in a four way with... well, a bunch of.... erm... guys that lose a lot. After Speede's less-than-great performance last week, apparently he's been relegated to these kinds of matches? Not sure what's up with that!
Zach Davis: And in our opener, we've got Vengeance, John Gable, and Kale Windsor teaming up against Morientes, Blizzard, and the Ninja. That's an interesting six man tag, to be sure! What a great opener, let's get to the show!
Zach Davis: Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the opening bout in our PPV! A big six-man tag team match, featuring six of our brightest young stars in the Wrestling Championship Federation. Can't ask for a better way to kick off this wrestling event if you asked me!
Shannan Lerch: For once we are on the same page. Vengeance is on a hot streak, and with the power of John Gable and Kale Windsor besides him, they make a wicked trio. Yummy yummy yummy!
Zach Davis: Right Shannan... you always know how to sound all creepy and stalkerish when it comes to our superstars here. But anyways, back to the match, their opponents aren't going to be pushovers either. The team of Morientes, The Ninja, and Blizzard are looking to solidify themselves here, and who else better to do it than against the man who took out Terry 'Synn' Roberts? Blizzard has looked very impressive in his victory last week, and we all know that Ninja can surprise anyone, anywhere. Could this match blow the entire roof off before the entire PPV even starts?
Shannan Lerch: Interesting indeed, now that you mentioned it. Terry Roberts may be retiring as an active competitor, but rumor has it that he was seen backstage talking to a couple of wrestlers, Morientes in particular. Could El Nino be compelled to take revenge against the man who ended the career of his one-time tag partner?
Zach Davis: Well, I guess we'll be finding that out. Vengeance and Gable were also spotted conversing on Slam last week. I'm sure that we'll hear much more from them in time to come. But that's enough talking for now, let the match begin!
"The Unforgiven 2" by Metallica starts playing as the arena turns blue. White and blue pyrotechnics go off on the stage as low-laying fog fills the entrance ramp. Cheers fill the arena as Blizzard appears and comes down, slapping the hands of fans as he enters the ring.
Kyle Steel: The following six-man tag team bout is set for one fall. Introducing first... from Juneau, Alaska... weighing in at three hundred and forty pounds... BLIZZARD!!!
He stands on the second turnbuckle and points at the fans sitting in the front row, before raising his arms as the lights come back on.
Zach Davis: This was the man who beat Confederate Champion Doc Henry last week on Slam. Can he do the same for his opponents tonight? I think so.
But before the fans could get used to the brightness, the arena lights go dark again.
"Well I am ninja,
The song slowly fades to silence. Suddenly, "Walls Of Innocence" by Egypt Central is blasted through the arena. Suddenly, pyrotechnics are blasted on stage. The Ninja is standing on the titantron, with his hands on his hips. The crowd starts to cheer, as he glides down through the rafters.
Kyle Steel: And his tag team partner... from Japan... weighing in at two hundred and one pounds... THE NINJA!!!
Nearby the ring, he lets go of the buckle and leaps down on the ring. He lands on his feet and gives the crowd an intense stare. He climbs up the turnbuckle and looks at the crowd. He raises his arm, before getting off and performing a kata. Then, he warms up for the match.
Zach Davis: These two men are looking extremely good tonight. I personally am rooting for them to win.
Shannan Lerch: Tsk, biased man you are indeed. But I myself like Gable's team more. They just appear to be more... classy.
The clashing of two swords fills the arena for a couple of seconds as the lights dim, before the sound of a shotgun goes off. The crowd cheers loudly as "Back For More" by Five Finger Death Punch starts to play, when Morientes comes out from the back, dressed in his usual fighting attire.
Kyle Steel: And their tag team partner... from Madrid, Spain... weighing in at two hundred and twenty-two pounds... MORIENTES!
Posing for the crowd for a few moments, the lights come back on as the first verse of the song is belted, and he makes his way to the ring while nodding at cheering fans. Morientes slides into the ring and raises his arms into the air as the fans cheer. He then sheds his leather jacket in the middle of the ring and throws it to the crowd. Next, he climbs up the upper left turnbuckle and gestures to the crowd. Morientes jumps back to the mat, eager to get this match on the way.
Shannan Lerch: He doesn't seem to be suffering any effects from the steel chair shot he took from that deranged author last week. But is he truly at 100%?
The three men stand together in the ring, shaking hands and making conversation while awaiting the arrival of their opponents.
Zach Davis: Always a heartening sight to see wrestlers respecting each other. I don't think they'll be shaking hands with Windsor and company later on though.
"You're Going Down" by Sick Puppies starts as the lights strobe to the beat. Smoke fills the entrance just before Kale Windsor appears on the stage, as the crowd reacts to his presence.
Kyle Steel: And their opponent... from Los Angeles, California... weighing in at two hundred and twenty-two pounds... KALE WINDSOR!!
Windsor stands at the edge of the rampway, bowing his head for a moment before standing in a worship me type of taunting pose as several pyrotechnics go off behind him. He then walks down the ramp towards the ring. Half way down, Windsor pauses for a moment before charging the ring and sliding in under the bottom rope. Windsor then slithers to the middle of the ring on his stomach, before standing to his feet and rushing to one of the posts, jumping onto the middle rope as he does a bow and arrow type pose. He holds it for a moment before hopping down and crossing the ring to the side ropes, where he stands with one foot on the bottom rope and the other on the middle rope.
Shannan Lerch: Now, this is probably my favorite man in all of professional wrestling. He has skill, charisma, and fighting ability. Sexy.
Windsor stands at one corner of the ring, smirking as he hears the theme song of his tag team partner playing. "Things That You Oughta Know" by Chronic Future blasts over the P.A. System. John Gable enters through the current wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a leather jacket acting as if he was trying not to be noticed. He looks out to the crowd while trying to hide his face.
Kyle Steel: And his tag team partner... from Cleveland, Ohio... weighing in at two hundred and twenty-one pounds... JOHN GABLE!!
He steps down the ramp, as Humphrey Craig followed with a sign reading "Future Oscar Recipient". John Gable slides into the ring and rips off his 'disguise'. He poses for a few seconds, smiling cockily as he soaks in the deafening jeers from the crowd.
Zach Davis: Well John Gable is a very dangerous man. He looked even more deadly than usual when teamed with Benjamin Atreyu last week. Will he continue his winning streak against these three men?
All five competitors look towards the titantron, awaiting the final man in the match. And then, "Nightmare" by Avenged Sevenfold hits.
Shannan Lerch: Here comes the man who ended Terry Roberts career three weeks ago. Will he repeat that feat against one of these men tonight?
The music continues to play, and his usual pyrotechnics go off, but Vengeance is nowhere to be seen. The crowd, curious as to where he could be, stands up. When minutes pass and the man is still nowhere to be found, noise starts to build in the American Airlines Center. Just as the mutterings were about to escalate out of control, out steps Vengeance.
Zach Davis: Well, that took longer than usual. But wait! He's not dressed to compete, and he has a microphone in one hand. What's happening?
Indeed, instead of donning his usual ring gear, Vengeance appears out on the ramp, dressed in civilian clothing, and carrying a microphone out with him. He beckons to the crowd, asking them to calm down, as he makes his way down to the ring.
Vengeance: Yes yes, I know I'm not dressed to fight. But why do I have to? Just so you guys in the stands know, there will be no match tonight. I've spoken to my fellow five wrestlers, and they have agreed to let me do the honors. No Vengeance, John Gable, and Kale Windsor versus Morientes, Blizzard, and The Ninja tonight. And this is why.
The fans quieten down, as they lend their ears to the man standing in the middle of the ring, interested to find out what Vengeance has to say. The other five men gather in the middle of the ring, each pokerfaced as they await the arrival of Vengeance.
Vengeance: You know, this whole throwing great talent into some sort of cluster fuck match that makes completely no sense just to fill out a card is going to stop. Ever since WCF went under some bullshit of new management, there have been a certain group of people who get fucked over week after week after week. We as wrestlers are getting tired of being passed aside in favor of more 'established' talents each week. Not to mention, you fans are getting tired of the same crap each week as well. We don't need a weekly show when we all know what’s going to happen. Eric Price vs. Genesis, the same few people getting repeated title shots every few months, the Pantheon administration trying to get big matches. If you ask me, I’m honestly surprised these fans continue to pay their hard earned money to attend Slams and order PPVs.
The crowd cheers, enraptured by the sudden words he was speaking. Vengeance steps into the middle of the ring, surrounded by all five men as they turn to face the crowd.
Vengeance: Think back to the year 2000. Al Gore and George W. Bush. Starting to get the picture yet? Well in case that’s a negative, here you go. You see, old Georgie stole the election from Gore and screwed him out of becoming president of the United States of America. That, similar to WCF, is a prime example of how the world works. It is about politics, and not talent. I tried to think that this place might be different, but after weeks of being passed over, I knew my worst fears were coming true. I finally had enough when I logged on to WCF.com and saw the huge feature on the website. A massive coverage of the main event - Eric Price and Davey Ortega against Prophecy, followed by a statement that read that it was the best match between the best talent WCF has to offer. Hah! Says who? Where was the recognition for John Gable's match? Morientes? Blizzard? The Ninja? Kale Windsor?
Vengeance snorts in derision.
Vengeance: It was that moment in time when I knew something had to be done. Going to management and failing time and time again was not an option. Me proving myself week after week just like these gentlemen and we all got nowhere. I have yet to be pinned, and ended three careers, and yet, nothing was given to me, because I belong to the 'lower-card'. All my actions were ignored, so I decided to take things to the next step. Only by assembling a group of people who felt the same way, can we finally prove to those who are holding us down that we are for real. WCF management left me no choice but to start a REBELLION!
The crowd, emboldened by Vengeance's passion, starts chanting.
REBELLION! REBELLION! REBELLION!
Vengeance: That's right, a rebellion. For we are naught but rebels who are screwed by a right-wing nut job. It has been that way for far too long, and it is about to end. This new group will be the start of a new era, and make sure we get the justice we deserve. Why? Because the fact of the matter is that talent should always trump stupidity, and if you aren't with us, you are against justice, and us. Meritocracy should always beat political ties, and we will make sure that happens.
REBELLION! REBELLION! REBELLION!
Vengeance: Wrestling history will be made once more, and we will begin our ascension to the upper echelon of professional wrestling and capture that spotlight that should be ours. Old legends will learn to fall, and new ones will rise as a new era of dominance begins in this industry. We will no longer be passed off as jokes to be fed to the lions. We are not cannon fodder for anybody, and there are a long line of individuals who will go down for the count in order for us to correct this wrong. The gold that has eluded us will soon become ours. The wheels are already in motion, and it is only a matter of time after we humble the WCF clique.
REBELLION! REBELLION! REBELLION!
Vengeance looks down at the canvas quickly and then back up to meet the eyes of the fans in the front row once more. He waits a few seconds, before finally speaking once again.
Vengeance: There will come a time when all doubts will be erased and replaced with awe. This has actually been a movement that have been going on for over a month now. I hear people backstage speculating about wrestlers who are involved in secret meetings, and wondering if there is some big plot about to unravel. They thought they knew, but like fools, their guesses go nowhere. Rebellion is here to correct the wrongs of the WCF, and make sure that every single wrestler gets what they deserve. Morientes. Kale Windsor. Blizzard. John Gable. The Ninja. These five men and myself, are forming a union, to bring down this terror. Six men, each very different, but with one thing in common - a burning desire for success, and a willingness to band together for the greater good. Prepare yourself.
Grinning slightly as he finishes his speech, Vengeance hands the microphone over to Blizzard, who was standing besides him, and walks away, giving him centre stage. The Alaskan native takes it, and speaks. But before he can open his mouth, the fans start chanting his name.
BLIZZARD! BLIZZARD! BLIZZARD!
Blizzard: Hold on a second, hold it right there! I.....I know exactly what you all are thinking right now. Holy shit Blizzard joined too! Yeah, you're damn right I joined. I know all you fans and everyone in the locker room is nothing but shocked right now. While I do believe we have great talent in this company, I too got tired of the same old stuff every week. Same lame old people in main events, same people attacking each other, same people getting title shot after title shot. When Vengeance called me up and told me that it’s time to make this society of ours change, I knew what he meant.
Blizzard smiles, before continuing speaking.
Blizzard: You see, I feel like I'm headed down the same road as many have gone before me, and that is by no means how I want my WCF legacy to end. The only reason I got my ONE title shot was because Synn requested it. And that's not how I want my career to be. I'm not going to be a mid-carder, not a jobber, nothing but a champion. Most of you already know who I am by now. I sweat, bleed, but also made a whole lot of believers that I am not just some pretty boy looking to make a name for myself in this business. I am underestimated; everyone refused to believe me, because management have bought into a certain group of people who they think they are unbeatable. Well, I call them overrated! No one is immortal, no matter how great you think they are. Streaks were meant to be broken, and titles are meant to be lost. Rebellion is here, we are the voice of the underestimated.
Then, it's the Ninja's turn to step up to the plate.
The Ninja: I have one, and only one thing to say.
He clears his throat.
The Ninja: Anyone, who dares to get in our way is doomed. I look forward to killing them soon.
The Ninja passes the microphone to Morientes to address the WCF faithful. The Spaniard raises a hand into the sky, eliciting cheers from the crowd. The crowd pops loudly, happy to see the fan favorite, despite the unusual twist the match had turned out to be.
Morientes: Last week, as you may have already known, Terry 'Synn' Roberts spoke to me after my match with that autor Aloysius Mason. We had a decent conversation; one that I truly appreciated. His career may have ended, courtesy of Vengeance, but he was not at all bitter. He told me a little about the company, and how he had experienced contratiempo after contratiempo after contratiempo in his career. I listened, and asked what I could do to break out of the lower card and become the true superstar I desire to be. Strangely, he told me to talk to Vengeance, the very man who ended his career. So I did.
Climbing up to the upper left turnbuckle, Morientes spoke. In the background, John Gable can be seen staring daggers at him.
Morientes: The idea of a wrestling union came about during our conversation, and it was intriguing. I can't speak for all the wrestlers in the ring right now, but I came to the WCF to make a name out of myself. That you guys know already, but it seems that for every step I take, I take two steps back. I chalked up a few victories here and there, but I want more. If joining this... sindicato can provide me with the opportunity to make a name for myself, I am all for it.
Morientes turns back, and glares at Gable.
Morientes: But apparently, I wasn't told as to whom would be in this sindicato. Nonetheless, I will be the bigger man, and work towards the betterment of this company, putting aside all personal grudges... including the one I have with señor Gable over there.
The two men, who still clearly dislike one another, stare at each other for a couple of seconds. From his seated position, Morientes throws the microphone at Gable's head hard. Armed with his quick reflexes, the former actor catches it out of the air, and proceeds to speak.
John Gable: They didn't tell me about you either. Funny how that works. But hey, it isn't the first time two people have hated each other but worked together. In Dirty Dancing, not a good movie by any means, but Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey despised each other but was able to convince the audience otherwise. But putting aside the film trivia, don't think this changes anything. I still despise you and I will not be the bigger man about this because the bigger man will end up broke. But I am willing to ignore you, ha, shouldn't be too hard.
John Gable turns to the booing crowd, who are confused as to why he was here with the rest of the fan favorites.
John Gable: I am not a bad man. I am all about the improvement in entertainment. I want to educate you all out of your stupification of accepting the lowest common denominator. I came here to regain ground and I started to do that. Just weeks ago, I had a TV title shot. But ever since that loss, I have been stuck in a rut with facing the same people week in and week out. I realized that my career was being snuffed and I wanted to know why. Vengeance as a concerned fellow under-pushed talent, came to me with a proposal to change the face of wrestling and I couldn't pass it up. This is the spring board I...we need to get up in the world. Consider this a walk off from Timebomb. If we don't get what we deserve, then we will make sure that WCF will be hell for everyone else.
Finishing his tirade with a slight smirk on his face, Gable turns to Kale Windsor, brandishing the microphone.
John Gable: Well, it's your turn. Anything you'll like to say?
Windsor shakes his head, signifying that whatever that needs to be said, has already been done so.
The six men raise their left hands into the sky simultaneously, as applause from the starstruck fans rain down upon them. Having delivered the message he wanted, Gable drops the microphone in the ring and leaves the ring, followed by the rest of the wrestlers. With none of the six wrestlers present in the ring, the referee has no choice but to call the match off, resulting in the first match of Timebomb being a draw. As they head off backstage, the fans can be heard chanting loudly behind them.
REBELLION, REBELLION, REBELLION!
Zach Davis: I'm... in a state of shock Shannan. I think we may have just seen the forming of a new power stable here in the WCF. Blizzard, John Gable, The Ninja, Vengeance, Morientes, Kale Windsor, each as capable as any wrestler we have in our roster. But together, they might be unbeatable.
Shannan Lerch: Not a stable... but a wrestling union, as Vengeance and Morientes had said. It seems that some of the lower-card wrestlers have had enough with the alleged favoritism being displayed so blatantly by our management team, and are banding together to make a statement. What will the future of WCF hold now? Wow, what a start to Timebomb!
As the camera returns to the ring, “Bottoms Up” by Nickelback is fading out on the PA, and Johnny Gunn stands in the middle of the ring, waiting for the start of his match.
Kyle Steel: The following triple threat match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Sin City, he is ‘Hot Shot’ Johnny GUNNNNNN!
Zach Davis: The debuting rookie Johnny Gunn comes into this match looking to make a presence against two longtime WCF Veterans.
Shannan Lerch: And against former World Champion Oblivion, no doubt! If Gunn wants to make an impression this is a good match to do it!
The sound of a chainsaw being pull started reverberates through the arena, as The Lumberjack starts. With the start of the lyrics Buzzsaw walks out, pausing on the stage to raise a fist. As the crowd pops, he makes his way to the ring, slapping the hands of the fans. Grabbing the top rope, he steps onto the apron, and over the top rope into the ring. As he prepares for his match, he removes his flannel shirt, revealing his muscled body.
Kyle Steel: And his opponents, first, originally from Forks, Washington, he is Buzzsaw BUNNNNNNDY!
Zach Davis: And a good chance to make his mark in his return match, for Buzzsaw Bundy, and this match is anybody’s game to win.
Shannan Lerch: But you can’t discredit the size and pure strength of Buzzsaw Bundy! That’s over three hundred and fifty pounds in the ring right there.
Zach Davis: You can say that again, Shannan.
The house lights go out, as lighter colored lights come on. The multiple cameras pan around a jam packed WCF Arena. The fans are holding up various signs. The atmosphere is explosive and some of the crowd is cheering. While, the rest, of the crowd are booing...
Kyle Steel: Weighing in at 305 pounds, from the deepest, darkest part of a sick man's psyche...... O-O-O-OBLI-I-IVI-I-I-I-O-O-O-O-NN-N-NN-N!!!
Zach Davis: This highly anticipated match=up of complete misfits is about to start. And we STILL aren't allowed to show you Oblivion's entrance. Sorry about that.
The house lights go out. The crowd begins to murmur.
< DING-DING-DING! >
Shannan Lerch: And as we get underway, I’d just like to remind everybody that-
Zach Davis: OH SWEET JESUS!
Oblivion clotheslines Gunn to the ground HARD, and Hot Shot’s head bounces off the canvas from the impact. Oblivion, however, runs face first into a big boot from Bundy, who pulls Oblivion up before he can get a chance to get up himself, and hits him with a scoop slam. He drops to pin.
Kickout by Oblivion.
Zach Davis: And Oblivion on the wrong end of a big boot which leads to Buzzsaw Bundy taking a big advantage early on!
Shannan Lerch: And Johnny Gunn has so far been unable to get out of the starting gates.
Bundy gets back up and as he does so, he is knocked to his knees by a chop to the back of the leg from Johnny Gunn. Gunn dropkicks the lumberjack in the back, and Bundy falls to his face on top of Oblivion. Gunn stands up and raises his hands, taunting, not realizing Bundy is in position for another pin, although dazed.
Oblivion powers out, saving both his and Gunn’s chance to win the match, and pushes Bundy off of him, pulling himself out from under as he stands up. He grabs Gunn by the shoulder, and as Gunn turns, Oblivion swings a big right. Gunn ducks and catches the monster in the gut with a strong right, followed by a left and another right. He spins, going for a backfist, but Oblivion catches his arm and flips him with a hip toss. Gunn hits the mat, and springs back to his feet.
Zach Davis: Good moves by Oblivion to get back into this match, and an attempt at offense by Johnny Gunn thwarted at the last possible minute.
Shannan Lerch: And meanwhile, that last move by Gunn seems to have left the big man in some serious pain! Bundy’s grabbing at his leg!
Gunn bounces off the ropes and goes running, but Oblivion catches Hot Shot and spins him for a tilt-a-whirl move, but Gunn fights out of it and turns it into a spinning DDT of sorts, that leaves Oblivion on his back on the mat!
Zach Davis: WHAT A MOVE!
Shannan Lerch: And Johnny Gunn in firm control now with-
Zach Davis: OUCH!
Shannan Lerch: Bundy with the hard shot to the back, and Johnny Gunn is down.
Bundy grabs the now downed Johnny Gunn by the back of the head and pulls him to his feet. He locks Gunn in the Grizzly Attack, and starts to shake his smaller opponent from side to side vigorously. Johnny screams in pain.
Zach Davis: And this is not a pretty sight to see, folks! Johnny Gunn is literally having the life shaken out of him before our very eyes, but his refusal to tap out is incredible!
Shannan Lerch: But Buzzsaw Bundy has to be careful not to disregard ‘The Monster’ Oblivion for too long or he’ll end up-
Oblivion catches Bundy with a shot to the back of the leg, and Bundy staggers forward, crushing Gunn against the turnbuckle, and Oblivion whips him across the ring.
Zach Davis: Doing that!
Shannan Lerch: Yes, Zach! Exactly! Doing that!
Oblivion whips Gunn across the ring right after Bundy, and Gunn collides with Bundy in the corner before staggering backward and into a sleeper hold from the monster! But rather than leave it locked in, he sends Gunn overhead with a Sleeper Suplex.
Zach Davis: Sleeper suplex by Oblivion-NO!
Shannan Lerch: Oblivion turns the move into the Soultaker, and Gunn is down!!
Broken up by Bundy! Bundy pulls Oblivion up and lifts him for a suplex, but Oblivion fights out of it and rolls Bundy up for a pin.
Kickout by Bundy!
Oblivion gets to his feet and grabs Bundy, but Bundy shoves Oblivion backward. Obi goes running, but Bundy drops him with a big boot that sends Oblivion reeling. He grabs Oblivion, and sets him up for a powerbomb. The crowd chants along.
Bundy pulls him back up.
Bundy goes for one more.
Zach Davis: Felling the Forest! Felling the Forest!
Shannan Lerch: And Oblivion is down for the count!
Before Bundy can go to pin Oblivion, he’s hit by Johnny Gunn with a knee to the face. He stumbles backward, and Gunn goes running, only to be swung up into a powerbomb position, and dropped with the Timber Powerbomb! Bundy drops and pins Gunn.
< DING-DING-DING! >
Kyle Steel: The winner of this match, BUZZSAW BUNNNNNNDY!
The opening of "Tears Don't Fall (Part 2)" by Bullet For My Valentine begins as the crowd gets on their feet and the lights dim down.
"LET'S GO AGAIN!"
Now strobe lights begin to flash off and on making for an awesome effect. Pyro explodes from the stage as sparks begins to rain down from the top of the tron screen as out steps Freya Kane on a single knee. She looks out at the crowd before popping up to her feet letting out a loud primal war scream. Freya begins her trek to the ring as people are cheering for her. She takes a walk around ringside before sliding into the ring. Once in she heads to the closest turnbuckle and goes to the top rope before throwing her arms out into the air as the lights come back to normal. She hops down and backs into said corner ready for her match to get underway.
Zach Davis: Words cannot express how ready for this Freya Kane is. Almost a one track mind the past two days.
Shannan Lerch: I talked to her earlier today and she told me that she wants to hurt Kaylyn James Evans. Not really win but just hurt.
Lucious Jackson: Yeah, she's out for blood. Just imagine if Kaylyn hadn't of done what she did last week. We'd be seeing lesbian-ish stuff right now instead!
"Get Out There And Make It Look Good!"
Rob Zombies Dead Girl Superstar hits the PA system and Kaylyn walks out onto the stage looking around at the fans before rolling her eyes and laughing. Heading down the ramp way she takes her time soaking in the mixed reaction from the crowd, Scott Savage making his way down behind her.
"well, she blew uptown on a cemetery sound
dead girl, dead girl superstar"
Reaching the bottom of the ramp she walked to the ring before jumping up onto the apron. Stepping into the ring through the middle and top ropes she stood in the ring and looked around one last time still not caring about the crowd as the music faded.
Shannan Lerch: I don't know if Kaylyn is really ready for this. I don't think she can approach Freya like this is a normal match.
Lucious Jackson: With all Freya's been through this year, this is like the breaking point, and poor Kaylyn is at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Zach Davis: Still we can't sell Kaylyn short. She is a dangerous wrestler herself.
The opening bell rings as the two ladies glare at one another. Freya makes the first move with a kick right to Kaylyn's chest. The crowd feels the impact as Freya does it a second time rapidly. Kaylyn falls into a corner as Freya does the same kick a third time. Then a fourth time as the crowd groans. Kaylyn falls forward holding her chest as Freya stays right on her former partner. She locks up Kaylyn in a cravate and begins to knee her right in the face quickly.
Lucious Jackson: Oh those just look nasty. I feel sorry for Kaylyn if anything breaks.
Zach Davis: No mercy right now. I don't think this ends well for Kaylyn.
Shannan Lerch: Plenty of time to reverse her fate in this contest.
After about ten knees to the face, Freya lifts up Kaylyn and throws her overhead with a suplex from the cravate! Kaylyn lands on her head as Freya grins looking down at Kaylyn. Slowly Freya pulls up her former friend and hits a nasty palm strike that creates a cut on Kaylyn's eyebrown as Freya hits her with another one. Kaylyn goes back into the corner again as Freya rushes in and nails her with a koppu kick. The crowd claps as Freya doesn't even pay attention to them. As Kay gets onto her hands and knees, Freya rushes for a punt kick but misses as Kaylyn goes for a roll up out of instinct.
Freya pops her shoulder off of the canvas as Kaylyn rolls out of the ring to catch her breath. The blood is flowing from the cut over her eye as she turns around to see Freya crash onto her with a tope con hilo.
Zach Davis: Oh my goodness! She crashed right onto Kaylyn without any regard for her own body.
Shannan Lerch: I didn't even see her coming at all. Lighting quick!
Lucious Jackson: Great risk paid off for Freya.
With the crowd cheering loudly for the high flying move, Freya pops back up to her feet and gives a high five to Lucious Jackson. He looks surprised as Freya pulls up Kaylyn and throws her back into the ring. Freya stands up on the apron and springboards into the ring with a leg drop across Kaylyn's throat! The crowd claps again as Freya still looks furious. Again she pulls up Kay and lifts her up onto her shoulders. Death Valley Leg Drop as Freya's not finished! Once more Kaylyn goes up onto her shoulders and hits her with a pumphandle samoan driver!
Shannan Lerch: Those are the Red Bull Drop and the Red Bull Driver respectively for those who don't know.
Lucious Jackson: This is a pure statement. One that tells people do not cross Freya Kane.
Zach Davis: I don't know if she's closed to finished either.
Kaylyn is on her knees begging Freya to stop as Freya smiles and nods her head. Kaylyn smiles as Freya kicks her head into the third row! The crowd explodes as that might've given Kaylyn a concussion. Once more she's pulled up as Freya dumps her with a tiger suplex before rolling into a second and then a third! Kaylyn pops up to her feet out of instinct as Freya spin kicks her in the stomach before butterflying the arms and hitting the Tiger Flowsion!
Lucious Jackson: Another one of Freya's older moves here on display. That was that Freya's Wings!
Zach Davis: Head drop city.
Shannan Lerch: Anyone want scrambled brains after the show?
Finally Freya looks down at Kaylyn and shakes her head. Kane lifts up Kaylyn from behind and hits her with the Death by Red Bull! She rolls back up with Kaylyn in her grasp and switches her hands up to lock on the Red Bull Death Grip! Kaylyn taps out like a bitch right away as Freya doesn't let go. The ref has to pull Freya off of Kaylyn but it doesn't work as Freya releases the triangle choke part and still has Kaylyn in the cobra clutch. She walks into the corner and suplexes Kaylyn head first into the turnbuckles! The crowd roars at the brutality as Freya spits on her former partner.
Zach Davis: Wow. Just wow. I haven't seen such a savage display like this in a long time and from a woman none the less! I don't know if Kaylyn will be seen again for a while.
Shannan Lerch: Who knows for sure but we know that Freya Kane is not to be triffled with. She wants her name above Sarah Twilight's and for her, getting past Kaylyn like this, is that first step.
Lucious Jackson: Y'all see Freya high five me? She wants the D.
Shannan Lerch: No, no she doesn't.
Freya stands tall in the ring before jumping out and high fiving fans along the way back up the ramp. She looks at the camera and remarks that she didn't even break a sweat before heading into the back.
Zach Davis: Wow Shannan, what an exciting match we just had!
Shannan Lerch: Don't lie to yourself, you really didn't care about that match.
Zach Davis: Wait a minute Shannan, I'm being told that we have an update on FPV's location! We got cameras out there on the scene, let's take a look.
The camera cuts to Timothy Williams rolling FPV on the sidewalk of a busy street on their way to the Airlines Center.
FPV: I swear to fucking god once I find that son of a bitch Nathan I'm going to fucking kill that son of a bitch!
Williams: Please! There are children here, please watch your language.
FPV: FUCK THE CHILDREN! Do I look like fucking John Cena, signing autographs and granting wishes and shit like a genie? NO! I just woke up from a fucking coma and can't use my fucking legs! As far as I'm concerned the children can go fuck themselves for all I care.
Williams: That's an incredibly pessimistic view of things, y'know.
FPV: WELL FUCK YOU TOO THEN! I swear to god if this thing wasn't so hard to control I'd just dump you here and wheel myself to the arena.
Cut back to the arena.
Shannan Lerch: Yeah...the FCC is gonna' be on out asses about this one.
The Lights cut out inside the arena as a the jumbo-tron lights up with a rebel flag, then all of a sudden the sounds of Kick it in the Sticks start to resonate through out the arena
Welcome to the home of a hillbilly
All of a sudden Red Pyro shoots from the stage as John Thomas and Justin Turner walk onto the stage both of their women by their sides.
Our side of a barbed wire
Justin slides into the ring as John climbs the steps and into the ring.
The opening plucking of "Toast to the Fam" begins, and the crowd cheers loudly, signalling the arrival of the Homegrown Players. Waylon Cash, and Steve Orbit come dancing out onto the stage.
Kyle Steel: Now coming to the ring, accompanied by their manager, Roxxanne Savage, with a combined weight of four-hundred and seventy pounds. Representing Genesis, "The Hellbilly" Waylon Cash, and "The Mack" Steve Orbit... The Homegrown Players!
Steve and Waylon stand at opposite sides of the ramp, encouraging the crowd to make noise as multicolored fountains of sparks spring up all around them, and Roxxanne stands in the center of the stage, grinning. The two men come together, and bump fists, before all three of them step down the ramp. The fans scream their love, as the two men slide under the bottom rope, and jump to the second rope, in opposite corners of the ring. Their music slowly quiets, as both men climb down, and meet in the center of the ring. They have a quick game of rock, paper, scissors to determine who starts the match, before heading to their corner.
Zach Davis: Steve Orbit wins this rock, paper, scissors contest, and Justin Turner starts for his team.
Orbit and Turner carefully tie up, neither man taking the other lightly. Orbit quickly gets the advantage.
Shannan Lerch: Steve Orbit is one of the most decorated and successful stars in the WCF since exploding onto the scene and having a breakout feud with Odin Balfore. Southern Discomfort can't take he and Waylon lightly.
Orbit throws Turner to the ropes, then lifts him and hits a Spinebuster as he comes back. Orbit goes for the quick pin but Thomas quickly breaks it up.
Zach Davis: It took a long time for Southern Discomfort to get this opportunity and Thomas isn't going to let it slip away that easily!
Orbit backs up as Turner gets to his feet and goes for his Crane Kick, but Turner catches his leg and spins him around. As Orbit is disoriented, Turner hits a Shining Ninja!
Shannan Lerch: WHOA! Turner caught Orbit unawares and hit quite a move!
Turner quickly tags in Thomas. Orbit stumbles to his feet and turns, only to be met with a Dropkick from both men!
Zach Davis: Great teamwork from Southern Discomfort!
The Hardcore Redneck drops and pins Orbit.
No!, Orbit kicks out. Thomas backs up, runs at him and then hits an Elbow Drop. He then picks him up and gives him a few forearms to the midsection before lifting him for a Suplex... and stalling.
Shannan Lerch: How long is he going to keep him up there?
After several moments, Thomas drops Orbit. He then floats over and goes for another pin.
No, again Orbit kicks out!
Zach Davis: Orbit is doing a good job kicking out, but where is Waylon?
Shannan Lerch: He seems distracted, Zach. Or maybe he just trusts Steve to kick out of those moves.
Thomas locks Orbit into a Chinlock. Waylon reaches his hand out, urging Steve to break out of it and make the tag. The fans begin getting behind them, and a "HOME-GROWN PLAY-ERS!" chant rings throughout the arena. After several moments Orbit works to his feet and jabs Thomas in the stomach, breaks away and tags in Cash!
Zach Davis: THE HARDCORE REDNECK VERSUS THE HELLBILLY! HERE WE GO!
The two men begin brawling in the middle of the ring, back and forth, rights and lefts flying between the two southerners! Eventually Waylon gets the upper hand and sends Thomas flying to the ropes. However, Waylon telegraphs a Back Bodydrop and gives Thomas the chance to kick him in the chest. Waylon stands up and is then met with a chop from Thomas-
-followed by an STO! Thomas quickly pins Waylon, hooking the leg.
No!, Orbit kicks him off.
Shannan Lerch: A lot of nearfall attempts by Southern Discomfort, which is smart wrestling, if you ask me.
Zach Davis: No one did. But good observation, anyway.
Orbit gets back on the apron as Thomas works his way up. He picks Waylon up with him and pulls him toward the Southern Discomfort corner, tagging in Justin Turner. Thomas lifts Waylon in a Vertical Suplex as Turner climbs to the top.
Shannan Lerch: You know whats coming here!
As soon as Thomas drops Waylon with the Suplex, Turner flies off the top with a 450 Splash!
Zach Davis: HE HIT IT! Perfect! This could be it, new Tag Team Champs!
Shannan Lerch: NO! Again Orbit saves Waylon!
Zach Davis: So far this match has been all Southern Discomfort. I hate to say it but the Players need to get their act together.
Thomas once again enters the ring and Clotheslines Orbit over the top, sending both men tumbling to the outside. Turner lifts Cash up and runs to the ropes, Springboards-
Shannan Lerch: DROPKICK! Cash Dropkicks Turner in mid-air!
Indeed, Waylon Cash busted out a Dropkick out of nowhere! Turner hits the mat, holding his stomach in pain. Cash quickly follows up by climbing to the top with all the speed he has.
Zach Davis: Here it comes...
Shannan Lerch: SWAN DIVE HEADBUTT! Cash drives his head into Turner's injured midsection!
Following the Headbutt, Cash pins Turner, hooking the leg!
NO! TURNER KICKS OUT!
Zach Davis: SO CLOSE! But the Champs were unable to retain right there!
By now Steve Orbit has returned to the apron. Cash turns and tags him in. Orbit comes into the match full of determination, stomping away at the High Flying Freak. He lifts Turner up and throws him to the ropes, then catches him in a Powerslam into pin!
No!, once again Thomas is in to intercept! Orbit shrugs it off and stands up. Thomas runs at him and Orbit hits him with a Reverse Atomic Drop.
Shannan Lerch: I imagine that hurts. Ouch.
Thomas stumbles forward and out of the ring. Turner is up and Orbit hits him with the Backhand Slap!
Zach Davis: PIMP SLAP!
This sends Turner spinning around, and Orbit quickly grabs him and puts him in a Half Nelson, then Suplexes him!
Shannan Lerch: HONEY DIP!
Zach Davis: THE CHAMPS RETAIN! HERE'S THE PIN!
NO! NO! TURNER KICKS OUT!
Shannan Lerch: WHAAAAT?!
Zach Davis: I don't believe it!
The crowd gasps as Turner kicks out, and even Orbit can't believe it.
Shannan Lerch: What a tag team contest!
Orbit turns and tags in Waylon. Waylon quickly comes in and lifts Turner into a Powerbomb.
Zach Davis: Here comes the Chiropractic Bitch Slap, no way Southern Discomfort can endure this!
But during the Powerbomb portion of it, Turner shifts his weight and flips over Waylon, dropping down and rolling him up! Before Orbit can break it up, Thomas runs at him and intercepts!
Shannan Lerch: NEW CHAMPS!
NO! NO! Waylon kicks out!
Zach Davis: SO CLOSE!
After a few moments of brawling, Orbit has thrown Thomas out of the ring. Angry at how close they've come to losing the Tag Titles, Orbit quickly pulls Turner off of Cash. Orbit hits him with another Pimp Slap!
Shannan Lerch: And Waylon is up!
Waylon catches Turner and hits a KILLSHOT!
Zach Davis: This has to be it now!
Shannan Lerch: Aanndd it's over.
Zach Davis: The Homegrown Players retain!
The bell sounds as Orbit and Waylon are handed their Tag Team Titles. Turner rolls out of the ring to regroup.
Shannan Lerch: Great match. Nathan von Liebert is in action later tonight..... we'll see where this goes.
Zach Davis: The winner of this match will replace anyone who, in the course of the Trilogy Cup Tournament, gets injured or can't compete for any other reason. Very interesting opportunity for these two relative newcomers.
The lights in the arena dims as the sounds of electricy crackling can be heard. Suddenly a bright flash of electricity strikes the center of the ramp entrance. Once the smoke clears, Deuce is standing there smirking towards the ring. 'Run Like Hell' by Pink Floyd jumps in and Deuce walks to the ring, reaching his arms out to give fans fives, both high and low, occasionally too slow. As he slides into the ring and stands center, lightning flashes from the four corners. Deuce pulls off his 'mythic' T-shirt and tosses it to the crowd then hops to a middle turnbuckle. He does a 'lookout' before he smirks and gives a finger-guns to a sign he finds clever. He hops down and waits for the bell.
"All RISE!!!" is heard throughout the arena as two explosions from the entrance way discharge in a quick flame, BOOM! "The honorable Judge Mental" is said over the speakers as the judge himself appears through the smoke of the pyrotechnics. Also Sprach Zarathustra, by Strauss (Ric Flair's entrance theme) starts to play as Judge Mental walks slowly to the ring. With gavel in hand, he occasionally stops and points it at fans booing him; screaming even at children who dare give him the slightest negative attention. He puts the gavel under the ring and steps up the stairs in the ring, motioning for EVERYONE to stand, and noticing how many fans PURPOSELY sat down.
Shannan Lerch: Once again, I have to ask... where do we find these guys?
The bell sounds. The two men meet in the middle of the ring and tie up, each one trying to gain control. Eventually, the Judge does, putting Deuce into a Headlock. Deuce shoves Judge off him, then runs at him and goes for a Clothesline; Judge ducks it and kicks Deuce in the gut before executing a Vertical Suplex. Judge Mental then begins stomping on him, whilst the fans begin to boo.
Zach Davis: I hope some day he wears a Judge Dredd outfit to the ring. That'd be neat.
Shannan Lerch: Don't give these wackjobs ideas, Zach.
Judge Mental lifts Deuce Maximus to his feet, then throws him across the ring. As Deuce comes back, Judge hits him with a Powerslam into pin!
No!, Deuce kicks out!
Zach Davis: These two fellows are in their most high profile match in WCF yet - they're definitely going to show us all they've got.
Judge Mental is unmoved by the kickout. He lifts Deuce up again and puts him into an Abdominal Stretch.
Shannan Lerch: So far, this match has been all Judge Mental. And now he's wearing Deuce Maximus down even more.
The Judge clubs Deuce in the abs several times, causing Deuce to wince in pain. The fans begin to rally behind him, chanting "DEUCE! DEUCE! DEUCE!" and eventually Deuce summons the strength to lunge and reach the ring ropes!, causing the ref to tell the Judge to break the hold up! The Judge refuses for several moments, only releasing it at the last moment.
Zach Davis: You'd think a Judge would do a better job of following the rules.
Deuce falls to the mat, hurting. Judge Mental stays on the attack, pulling him in for a Piledriver.
Shannan Lerch: One of the most dangerous moves in wrestling coming up!
Deuce Maximus knows he has to avoid this; he slips out of the Judge's grasp, switching behind him, and grabs him in a Full Nelson before hitting a Facefirst Sweep!
Zach Davis: Deuce Maximus with his first offensive move of the matchup!
The fans cheer as Deuce gets back to his feet, as does Judge Mental. Deuce takes the Judge down with a Clothesline, but Mental gets right back up. Deuce then hits a Standing Dropkick, but again, Judge Mental gets back up, albeit a little slower this time. Deuce runs at him once more and hits a running high knee to the temple!
Shannan Lerch: Deuce just rocked the Judge's brains!
Zach Davis: Rocked his brains? What the hell does that mean?
Shannan Lerch: He hit him in the head, okay!?
Mental hits the mat and after his flurry of offense, Deuce Maximus quickly locks in an STF!
Zach Davis: Stepover Toe Facelock! He has it locked in perfectly!
The fans are yelling "TAP! TAP! TAP!" but Judge Mental refuses. He won't give up. He slowly fights towards the ropes...
Shannan Lerch: Is he gonna make it?
Yes. Judge Mental grabs the rope, and the fans boo. Deuce Maximus quickly releases the hold and lifts the Judge up, grabbing his head and then perching himself on the top rope.
Zach Davis: Here comes a Tornado DDT!
Deuce swings off the top, but the Judge catches him mid move. Deuce hits the mat, still in the same basic position, and Judge Mental is able to reverse it into a Northern Lights Suplex Bridge Pin!
Shannan Lerch: WHOA!
NO! Deuce kicks out!
Zach Davis: Great reversal! It was almost over out of nowhere!
Both men lay on the mat for several moments, catching their breath. Slowly, they both begin working their way up and brawling.
Shannan Lerch: This is anyone's matchup here...
Deuce is exhausted and Judge gets the upper hand, throwing him to the ropes. However, Deuce summons all his strength and reverses the irish whip, pulling Judge in and hitting AN EVENFLOW DDT!
Zach Davis: ICHOR! THIS IS IT!
Deuce falls on top of Judge Mental, pinning him.
Shannan Lerch: DEUCE MAXIMUS WINS!
Deuce's music hits and he stands up slowly, getting his arm raised by the ref.
Zach Davis: Excellent matchup by both men here tonight!, showing all of WCF what they've got.
Shannan Lerch: And until Explosion, Deuce Maximus is in a very interesting position, being able to jump into the tournament at any given time if anything happens to tonights winners.
Shannan Lerch is standing at the entranceway.
Shannan Lerch: Tonight WCF fans right here in Dallas,Texas we remember one of the real men in WCF history, "The Villain" Adam Young. Just a few weeks ago Adam's life in the WCF was cut short by Doc Henry. Tonight we relive some of his credits.
Shannan points towards the WCFtron as "Don't You" by Simple Minds starts playing as a video of Adam winning the WCF tag titles twice, cutting Jason Kash on the face, beating Torture and Creeping Death. The video finishes.
Shannan Lerch: Ladies and gentlemen Adam Young!
"Disposable Teens" by Marilyn Manson starts playing as Adam is rolled out in a wheelchair into the arena ramp.
Adam Young: Tonight marks the end of a very long journey in this business. I began this back in 1998 while still in high school. I've traveled the World several times and held championships on almost every continent. I would like to thank all you fans out there you paid your hard earned money to see me put my life on the line, no regrets. The doctors have told me if I ever walk again I will be lucky. So at this very moment I am retired from in ring action and I'm leaveing the business in good hands with the young stars here in WCF. This is the last time you will see The Villain in a WCF arena.
"The Zoo" by the Scorpions starts playing as two huge men step out into the arena. They walk up behind Adam and roll he back to the back.
Dr. Feelgood hits the speakers and as the main riff blasts through the arena, Doc, and Mary emerge on the stage.
Shannan Lerch: Well, Doc isn't scheduled tonight, I wonder what he wants?
Zach Davis: A match maybe, he has Stanley Mosier with him.
Looking around, he raises a fist in the air, the crowd cheering wildly as he then leads the way to the ring. Climbing up the steps, he holds the Ropes for Mary, who slinks lithely through. Doc steps trough the ropes and grins proudly as he pops the crowd drawing more cheers as Mary poses on him seductively.
Doc raises a mic to his face, and smiles a crooked smile that would make any Southern Man proud.
Doc: Hello Dallas, Texas!
The crowd cheers wildly, as Doc and Mary pace the ring.
Doc: Now, I'm out here for one reason and one reason only. There is a certain troll that need sent back to the bridge he crawled out from under. Corey Black! You've ran your mouth enough, and for some odd reason you keep stalking the Southern Rogue on Twitter. Well, haul your Yankee ass out to this ring and put up or shut up. I've not missed a pay per view, and I don't plan to start now. Timebomb has always been a good show for legends and rookies alike, and why should we deprive the fans if a great legend like yourself... Get your ass out here and take the beating you have coming like a man!
As Doc and Mary pace the ring, the Latin chanting of Machine Head’s “I am Hell (Sonata in C#)” come over the PA system as the lights in the arena fade to nothing. Once the guitars and drums kick in, a white light flashes along with each note. As the lyrics begin, a spotlight hits the stage and there stands Corey Black wearing a black hoodie and jeans. Corey walks down the aisle and rolls into the ring.
Zach Davis: Corey obviously wasn't planning on wrestling tonight, he isn't even wearing his gear.
Corey asks Doc for the microphone, and Doc obliges.
Corey Black: A match, with me? Right now? I dunno man, I just got in from New York City where, I might add, I already had a match ... and won. I'm not really ready for this, as can be seen I didn't even bring my gear to the arena tonight, I left it in the hotel room. But, considering you asked semi-nicely, I guess, ring the bell.
Stanley Mosier calls for the bell, and Doc and Corey circle each other. Corey removes his hoodie to reveal a plain black shirt. The two men lock up, and trade elbows shots before Corey sends Doc into the corner. Doc hits and looks back at Black, he comes out of the ring slowly and circles Corey. As they near for another lockup, Doc drops his shoulder and his a European Uppercut. Black responds by throwing a punch.
Doc fires back with one of his own.
Black and Doc trade blows back and forth before Doc finally winds up and hits a huge haymaker, sending Corey stumbling backwards. Doc responds by bouncing off the ropes and hitting a clothesline, causing Corey to flip and land face down.
Doc climbs the turnbuckle to pop the crowd, obviously proud to be the first one to knock the other down. Unbeknownst to him, Black rises to his feet and charges Doc in the corner, clubbing him across the back. As Doc falls, he turns around and is met by a flurry of lefts and rights. Corey whips Doc into the opposite corner and follows hitting a drop kick to the face as Doc bounces off.
Doc is laid out against the corner, Corey picks him up in a suplex, and lays Doc across the top rope, so that he is parallel to the mat. Corey looks around pointing to the crowd, taunting them, then hits the Life to Lifeless. Doc bounces off the mat and Corey's knees, landing on his side against the bottom rope. Black with the early pin attempt.
Doc's foot on the bottom rope. Doc rolls out of the ring, and Mary helps support him as he catches his breath. Black comes flying out of the ring with a suicide dive, but eats the floor and guard rail as Mary is able to push Doc out of the way! With Corey laid out, Doc grabs a steel chair from one of the audience members, and slams it across Corey's back! The again! Mosier allows the men to fight, not even really sure this match is sanctioned. It continues, as Doc throws his chair into the ring and rolls Corey in after it, but not before checking and finding a table from under the ring!
Doc slides the table in as well, then follows in to stalk Black. Corey fights to his feet and is met with Doc hitting a swinging neckbreaker onto the flat table on the mat! Corey hits the wood hard, and Doc is sitting just fine with Corey right where he wants him. Doc pushes his opponent off the table and sets it up, only putting one side of the legs up so it is at an angle. Doc hops up to the middle rope and looks for the Confederate Rocket to the table - NO! - Corey Black blocks the middle rope spear with a knee strike! Corey grabs Doc up in a powerbomb into the turnbuckle! As he bounces out Corey hits an exploder suplex onto the table breaking it into a million pieces! A desperation move, Corey can't get the cover. Doc rolls out of the ring once again, trying to get his bearings. Mary consoles him, and Corey rolls out as well. He gets Mary out of the way only to be hit with powder to the face! Mary had handed the powder over!
Doc uses this to position Corey on the bottom of the ramp and hit a Gambler's Hand! Corey's head bounces off the steel! After such force, Doc struggles to get Corey up and to the apron. He does it though, then gets up to the apron himself. Doc pulls Corey up again and up onto his shoulders... DOC HENRY HAS COREY BLACK UP FOR THE BURNING HAMMER ON THE APRON... AND HE HITS IT! Corey hits the apron hard and falls to the floor onto his stomach, almost lifeless! Doc is sitting on the apron laughing as he looks down on Corey. He reaches down, grabs Corey's shirt and once again puts him on the apron, this time rolling Corey into the ring and going for a pin.
Zach Davis: He's done!
DOC HENRY HAS PINNED COREY BLACK! POSSIBLY THE BIGGEST WIN OF DOC'S LENGTHY CAREER!
Shannan Lerch: Oh my god!
NO! NO! NO! Corey's shoulder left the mat at the very last millisecond! The entire crowd, Mary, Doc, the ref, Jesus and his angels, they're all shocked! Doc gets up and begins arguing with Mosier. Stanley says no, it was absolutely a two count, completely crushing Doc's spirit. He cannot even come close to fathoming what just occured, but he has to, because Corey Black has him rolled up! The pin!
NO, Doc kicks out and is back to his feet but met with a big Yakuza Kick to the face! Corey is back up, but Doc doesn't go down! Spinning and LARIAT TO DOC HENRY! Almost taking his fucking head off his shoulders! Down now into a Triangle Choke! Corey is trying to choke the life out of Doc! He's almost out but no.. no.. Doc is fighting out.. somehow Doc Henry is to a standing position holding Corey Black up as he has a choke locked in! One way or another, Doc has Corey off the mat now and slams him into the turnbuckle! But Corey is holding on! Mary on the apron with a steel chair and BOOM right to Corey's back, breaking the hold and leaving Corey in the corner. Doc goes to put Corey on the top rope but he reverses, kicking Doc in the head once again, and places Doc on the top in a sitting positon!
Mary once again tries to interfere, but Corey pie faces her off the apron and she falls to the floor hard. Corey positions himself on the top rope, standing with Doc, attempting to suplex him into the ring, but no, Doc blocks it... oh my GOD DOC HENRY IS GOING TO SUPLEX COREY TO THE FLOOR! NO COREY BLOCKS THAT ATTEMPT! COREY LIFTS DOC HENRY UP AND - SWEET FUCKING CHRIST - LEAPS FORWARD OFF THE TOP ROPE TO THE FLOOR! COREY THROWS DOC OUT IN AN ORANGE CRUSH POWERBOMB, HE LANDS IN THE CROWD! THEY SPLIT, HE HITS NOTHING BUT CHAIRS! COREY CRASHES AND BURNS INTO THE RAIL!
Ref Mosier stands there dumbfounded, looking at the carnage. The crowd is a hushed buzz, they can't believe their eyes. Mosier really has no choice but to call the match off as neither man will be able to continue.
Let’s take it to ringside for our next Trilogy Cup Tournament match!
Kyle Steel: This following contest is scheduled for one fall and will be contested under “Triple Threat” rules, the winner will progress in the Trilogy Cup, introducing first
Blares over the speakers before the baseline and beat kicks in (think Kendrick’s Backseat Freestyle) G-Money slowly makes his way to the entrance area, he slowly scans the arena from left to right before smirking and swaggering down the aisle.
Kyle Steel: Introducing next, weighing 225 pounds, TEEEEEK!
Am I a Psycho plays and Tek comes out. He puts his gloves together and they show the print on his gloves. He walks down the ramp and the crowd is cheering. Tek gets in the ring and gets on the turnbuckle and puts his hands together to show the print on the gloves.
Kyle Steel: And finally… “The Pristine Princess” ANNNNAAA VAAALENTINE!
Ana walks down the ramp to pink pyro’s shooting off behind her. She pauses at the steps to the ring to blow kisses to the crowd. She then steps into the ring bending low to slip between the middle and bottom rope.
Zach Davis: And we are underway!
The noise inside the arena gradually builds as the three competitors eye each other up almost daring someone to make the first move, Tek stares at G-Money before looking at Ana and shrugging his shoulders, Ana also stares at G-Money before looking at Tek cocking her head to one side and smiling. G-Money starts to back up in to one of the corners as it begins to dawn on him and the crowd how this match may start.
Shannan Lerch: Looks like we could have some team work here.
Zach Davis: Yeah and this never ends well
G-Money perhaps sensing the inevitable makes a charge at Tek who blocks his punch and sends him back in to the corner with a flurry of his own, the crowd cheers along as Tek unleashes some stiff looking shin and front kicks on Money as he attempts to cover up, Tek stands aside and as Money stumbles forward he is met by a Valentine superkick right to the chops as spit is sent flying and G-Money crumples back to the mat.
Shannan Lerch: Oh not a good start for “The Compton Pitbull”
Zach Davis: Listen to the crowd! Dallas is loving it!
The crowds cheers grow louder as the newly formed alliance picks up G-Money and throws him over the top rope to the arena floor, with a satisfied smile on her face Ana blows a kiss to G-Money lying on the outside, Ana has her back turned to Tek who could capitalise but is choosing not to, Ana turns around and has a stare down with “The Wildcard”
Tek #1 fan: Kill her Tek! You had her!
Tek takes a second to glance down at his fan his icy response telling them it is not how he will handle this business.
Ana claps her hands together to get the crowd going as they circle each other before locking up, Tek gets Ana in to an armbar there is a brief struggle before Ana wriggles out and pushes Tek in the back, this elicits a cheer from the audience but not from her opponent as a brief look of frustration can be glimpsed on Tek’s face.
Zach Davis: Great manoeuvrability there from Valentine
Tek #1 fan: Don’t let her go Tek!
They lock up again but this time Tek uses his power advantage to push Ana in to one of the corners but in a split second she is able to swap their positions and in a great show of athleticism leaps up and monkey flips out of the corner.
Shannan Lerch: Even I liked that one
Ana follows up with a drop kick but Tek is straight back on his feet, Ana delivers a 2nd and 3rd dropkick followed by a flying clothesline that this time keeps Tek down.
Zach Davis: Ana is really bringing it tonight
Shannan Lerch: Well an opportunity at the greatest prize in this business will do that! And would somebody shut that girl up!?
Zach Davis: What girl?
Tek #1 fan: C’mon Tek! Get up!
Zach Davis: Oh
Ana goes towards Tek’s feet and attempts to put on the ankle lock
Tek #1 fan: Ankle lock! Ankle lock!
Whether due to the outside advice or sheer instinct Tek is able to roll through and push Ana away as she comes back at Tek she is met with a high kick across the bridge of her nose immediately causing her to see stars.
Zach Davis: Wow Tek is doing some head hunting tonight!
A dazed Ana gets to her feet and valiantly takes a roundhouse swing that Tek easily ducks, he puts her right arm behind his neck and drops her in a back suplex,
Tek # 1 Fan: No fear Tek! You got this
Tek picks Ana up and drops her with a DDT setting her up for a cross face
Shannan Lerch: If Tek locks this in he could be advancing
Tek drags Ana to the centre of the ring and locks in a cross face as the crowd starts going nuts! Half screaming for a tap the other half for Valentine to get out of it, Tek yells and wrenches back putting some serious pressure on Ana as her trembling hand hovers above the mat.
Shannan Lerch: There’s being brave and than there’s living to fight another day
Zach Davis: A ton of guts being shown by “The Pristine Princess”
Tek #1 fan: Tek! Watch your back!
Due to the increased noise caused by this dramatic moment in the match Tek does not hear the words of advice from his fan, the noise level increases even more and half the arena gets to their feet as G-Money stands on one of the opposite turnbuckles to the back of Tek and Ana
Shannan Lerch: Oh snap! I forgot he was in the match
Zach Davis: G-Money picking his spot here
Just as it looks like Ana is about to slap her hand on the mat G-Money launches himself from across the ring landing a sick elbow into the head of Tek! Ana rolls to the side clutching her neck, G-Money quickly covers Tek hooking the leg
Shannan Lerch: Tek kicks out!
G-Money stomps on Tek a few times for good measure before turning his attention to Ana who is crawling to a turnbuckle and shaking her right arm and hand repeatedly to try and get some feeling back, G-Money makes his way towards her with a sick smile on his face.
Zach Davis: Tek did the damage and now G-Money is trying to capitalise
Tek #1 fan: Tek! Tek! Get up!
As Ana sits with her back to the bottom turnbuckle G-Money slowly makes his way towards her with evil intentions.
Crowd: LET’S GO ANA! clap clap clap clap clap LETS GO ANA! clap clap clap clap clap LETS GO ANA! Clap clap clap clap clap
G-Money stops in front of Ana and surprisingly offers his hand as the crowd yells for her to get up
Shannan Lerch: No girl don’t do it!
Zach Davis: Wait, did you just offer a word of encouragement to Ana Valentine?
Shannan Lerch: *pauses* Um I think I did
The crowd begging her not to do it as Ana weighs up her options G-Money extends his hand again and Ana extends her……..Foot right between G-Money’s legs!! The arrogant smirk on his face quickly removed as he crumples to the mat for the second time in this match!
Shannan Lerch: Ha-ha! I love it!
Zach Davis: Ouch! The shot felt by boys around the world! And the old DQ is always a grey area in triple threats.
Shannan Lerch: Especially when it’s in The Trilogy Cup.
As G-Money rolls to the side in the foetal position Ana makes her way to her feet just as Tek is on the other side of the ring, the fans stomping the ground and cheering for their respective favourites, As Tek and Ana survey the arena they both can’t help but smile at the rabid atmosphere being generated.
Zach Davis: We are down to two….Again!
Ana cocks her head and smiles again while Tek returns his shoulder shrug from the start of the match, this time as they circle Tek is quick to be the aggressor and unloads some stiff left jabs and a right before hitting a spinning side kick to Ana’s temple. Tek than whips Ana into the turnbuckle bounces off the ropes and delivers a bulldog before going for the cover.
Zach Davis: Valentine surviving here!
Tek # 1 fan: Keep on her Tek!
Tek spares a smile for his fan before returning his attention to Ana, he ponders his next move setting Valentine up for the Tic Toe, the crowd noise rises in anticipation for this signature manoeuvre.
Zach Davis: Tek has not been playing around tonight, a shot at the title has really focused him.
As Tek sets up for his Front Russian Leg Sweep Ana elbows him in the mid section before dropping down and leaping back up with a Pele kick to the dome! That sends Tek sprawling.
Shannan Lerch: G-Money!
Ana’s celebration is shot lived as she is tripped and pulled to the outside by G-Money
Zach Davis: Taking it to the streets!
Money and Valentine trade punches near the apron as the Dallas crowd is going crazy
Shannan Lerch: Somebody tell these idiots they can’t win the match out there!
Back in the ring Tek gets to his feet and sees his two opponents scrapping on the outside. His #1 fan for the first time is stunned in to silence as she begins to realise what her idol is contemplating, a contingent of perceptive fans pick up on Wildcard’s vibe and begin chanting
Crowd: TEK! TEK! TEK! TEK TEK!
Tek looks around at the crowd and contemplates as his adversaries continue to be distracted on the outside.
Zach Davies: Nah.....he ain’t? Is he?
Shannan Lerch: I think so
Tek takes one final look at his targets before running the ropes and leaping up to the top rope for a
SPRINGBOARD 450!!!! TO THE OUTSIDE
Zach Davis: Oh my god! Did you see that!?
Multiple replays from various angles are shown as the Dallas crowd chants
Crowd: HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!
All three competitors are down but Tek is obviously the freshest of the three, he picks G-Money up and rolls him into the ring.
Shannan Lerch: What a match!
Tek picks up a still dazed G-Money and hits “Jokers Wild!”
Zach Davis: That’s it!
Tek covers G-Money hooking the leg just as Ana gets to her feet to get in the ring
THRE...NO! Ana dives and breaks up the count
Zach Davis: Tek had it!
A visibly frustrated Tek charges at Ana who side steps before pulling down the rope sending the larger Tek crashing over to the outside! Ana sizes up G-Money who slowly gets to his feet to be met with “Cupid’s Arrow!”
Zach Davis: Now THIS has got to be it!
Ana with the cover!
Kyle Steel: Here is your winner Ana Valentine!
The camera opens as Morientes is sitting alone in the locker room, changing back into civilian clothing after an exciting pay-per-view. The man is clearly happy, humming a tune as he laces his shoes. His handphone rings.
The Spaniard's face brightens.
Morientes: Iker! Hermano, it's been a while since I've heard from you. Yeah... the car's gone, but I've gotten by the paycheck. You managed to secure tickets for next week's Slam already? Ace, I'll see you then brother! Oh boy... I got so much to tell you.
He stands up, fully dressed.
Morientes: Yeah, I've decided to finally make something out of myself here. I'm here in America for close to two months now, and although there has been some progress, it's far too slow for my liking. I can't say I like the idea of working with a bobo though. Gable and I obviously still have some bad blood, and it'll be interesting to see how this entire thing works. But the likes of Vengeance, Blizzard, and Ninja ought to be interesting. Can you imagine your elder brother performing the Spanishsault on some desventurado opponent after he or she suffers a Perfect Storm or a Shadow Kick? Enfermos. Things are going to change around here, and I'll make sure to do the Blanco family justice.
Morientes grabs his satchel bag placed next to him, and proceeds to walk out of the changing room.
Morientes: Listen Iker, I have to cut you short for a while. I'm gonna head to the inodoro and... wait what? GROSS! I am not talking to you on the phone while I go number two. Screw you, haha!
Unbeknownst to Morientes, a familiar masked figure appears at an opposing corner, having listened in to the entire conversation intently. As El Nino chatters happily with his brother on his way to the loo, the masked antagonist slides away silently, leaving no trace of his presence.
The camera fades out.
Zach Davis: Aanndd the Trilogy Cup Tournament continues with two WCF legends!
“With our hands held high we're screaming..."
The crowd scream 'whoa-oh whoa-oh oh' and in doing so introduce Skyler Striker. Striker makes his way to the ring in his usual fashion, focused and determined. Once inside, he stands in the center of the ring and bows his head, his arms outstretched and fists clenched. He then opens his palms to the audience, causing white pyro to explode from the ring posts. Striker throws his effects out of the ring and prepares for the match.
Shannan Lerch: Skyler Striker is a rarity. A Hall of Famer who is looking to add on to his legacy, and he's going all out to do it.
''Sympathy for the Devil'' by the Rolling Stones fills the arena as the boos follow. Davey Ortega emerges from the back with a smile on his face. he slowly walks down the ramp, slowly raising his arms up as more boos come, which fuels his smile. He uses the stairs to get on the apron, casually getting into the ring.
Zach Davis: Davey Ortega spent years outside of WCF, but he's come back and made some very powerful allies. Namely Eric Price and Gravedigger.
Shannan Lerch: Those three are prime enemies of Pantheon, of course, which is where Skyler Striker's allegiances lie. Here we go!
Ortega bombards Striker, running at him immediately as the bell rings and clubbing him with lefts and rights. The fans boo Ortega's tactics. He presses Striker into the ropes before whipping him across the ring and following up with a Clothesline down. Striker gets back up only to be hit with a forearm to the head, followed by a Neckbreaker.
Zach Davis: Davey Ortega hits that Neckbreaker like nobody else in the business!
Ortega goes for the quick pin.
No!, Striker kicks out. Ortega stands and stomps Striker repeatedly while the fans continue to boo.
Shannan Lerch: Although both men are veterans of the company, Striker is a Hall of Famer, while Ortega is not. You have to assume that somewhere in the back of Ortega's mind, he's a little jealous about that. And it's coming out tonight.
Ortega backs off and allows Striker to get to his feet, measuring him up from behind. Ortega runs at Striker and grabs his head, going for a Bulldog, but Striker catches him and throws him across the ring!
Zach Davis: Nice reversal by Striker!
The fans cheer as Striker goes in for the attack, running at Ortega as he turns around and hitting a Superkick!
Shannan Lerch: SUPERKICK!
Striker drops, pinning Ortega quickly!
No!, Ortega kicks out now.
Zach Davis: That was a great Superkick but it takes more than that to take Davey Ortega out.
Striker begins climbing to the top rope, watching Ortega as he does. Ortega slowly stumbles to his feet and Striker files off with a Flying Leg Lariat!, but Ortega sidesteps it! Striker manages to land on his feet but he can't regain his composure before Ortega runs at him and hits a DDT!
Shannan Lerch: Lots of hard hitting moves tonight, ouch!
Ortega quickly makes his way up to the top now, knowing he doesn't have much time. Once he's to the top he looks at Striker for a moment before jumping off...
Zach Davis: Guillotine Leg Drop!
Ortega hits it perfectly! But he doesn't go for the pin quite yet. Striker slowly struggles to his feet, fighting past the pain. Ortega runs to the ropes, Springboards-
Shannan Lerch: 21!
ORTEGA HITS HIS DISASTER KICK! Striker goes down, lights out, and Ortega pins him, hooking the leg!
NO! Striker kicks out!
Zach Davis: DAMN! So close!
Ortega gets up, arguing with the ref a bit, but of course that doesn't get him anywhere. But Ortega has plenty more tricks up his sleeve. He backs up, begging Striker to get to his feet.
Shannan Lerch: He's setting him up for the Setting Sun!
Ortega grins as Striker fights to his feet, once more, turns around...
Zach Davis: Ortega charges.. SETTING SUN!
NO!, Striker sidesteps the Spear, sending Ortega nearly headfirst into the turnbuckle! Ortega stops in the knick of time, turns around, and is met with a Springboard DDT from Skyler Striker!
Shannan Lerch: OUCH!
Striker's running on adrenaline now. He quickly lifts Ortega up and onto the nearby turnbuckle. He backs up and runs towards the ropes, jumping up to hit his Buzzsaw kicks.
Zach Davis: Here comes the Starfall-
But Ortega has it scouted and shoves Striker off with a hard punch to the face. Striker hits the mat and Ortega immediately steadies himself to dive... FLYING CORKSCREW HEADBUTT!
Shannan Lerch: RATED FIVE STARS! THAT'S HIS MOVE!
NO! STRIKER ROLLS AWAY AT THE LAST SECOND!
Zach Davis: This match was almost over! That definitely would've been it. These two have each other well scouted, that's for sure.
Both Striker and Ortega lay on the mat for several moments, catching their breath. Slowly Striker struggles to his feet... and now he begins climbing to the top.
Shannan Lerch: Now Skyler is going high risk... but will it pay off for him?
STRIKER FLIES OFF THE TOP WITH A 630 DEGREE SENTON!
Zach Davis: SKYLER HIGH DIVE!
Striker lays on top of Ortega, pinning him!
Shannan Lerch: STRIKER DOES IT! STRIKER ADVANCES!
Skyler Striker's music begins to play as he slowly gets to his feet.
Zach Davis: Through all of his trials and tribulations, Skyler Striker has once again returned to his winning ways... and he's advanced in the Trilogy Cup Tournament.
The crowd starts booing as a couple of men run down the ramp from the back.
Zach Davis: Oh no, what are Gravedigger and Adrian doing out here?!
Shannan Lerch: What do you think? Watching Davey Ortega’s back!
Skyler Striker quickly spots the two and turns his attention towards them. Gravedigger and Adrian split up and go on opposite sides of the ring. Striker suddenly turns as Davey Ortega is back up and this is enough of a distraction for Adrian to get up on the apron and distract the referee while Gravedigger slides in behind Striker. Gravedigger spins Striker around and hits a devastating clothesline from Hell.
Shannan Lerch: Gravemarker! YESSSS!!
Gravedigger, Ortega and Adrian stand overtop the fallen Skyler Striker and raise their arms in the air to a chorus of booing.
Zach Davis: Skyler Striker may have won the match.... but Ortega got the last laugh.
Zach Davis: Looks like we've got another update FPV and his doctor friend.
Shannan Lerch: If you have children I would advise you mute the TV for the entirety of this segment.
The camera cuts away to what looks like the outside of some fast-food restaurant, Wendy's from what it looks like. Off camera we can hear FPV and Williams in conversation.
Williams: Are you sure this is a good idea?
FPV: I don't care if it isn't, I am hungry as a motherfucker, so we're doing it.
After a sigh from Williams we cut to the men themselves, in the middle of the drive-through line amidst all the cars in the rest of the line. The drivers start angrily blaring their horns at the two, and all of them get the same response from FPV, a defiant middle finger in the air. The two men pull up to the PA system.
Employee: Thank you for choosing Wendy's, how may I take your order?
FPV: Yeah, can I get a double-stack with just cheese and ketchup and a order of mac and cheese?
Employee: We no longer serve mac and cheese over here, sorry.
FPV: Well FUCK...um...just give me a friggin' order of nuggets then.
Employee: Regular or spicy.
FPV: Fuck it, surprise me. You want anything, Timmy?
Williams: Um, a water is fine, thank you.
FPV: And some water.
The employee gives them their total and instructs them to pull up to the next window. Once they get there, as Williams is reaching into his pocket for money, the lady at the register gives the two a dirty look.
FPV: What, you've never seen a cripple before?
Not wanting to start any mess, the cashier just takes Williams money and gives them their order. Williams graciously thanks her before wheeling FPV away, the cashier rolling her eyes in disgust.
Employee: They don't pay me enough for this friggin' job.
As the two re-enter the sidewalk they were rolling on, FPV excitedly reaches in his bag and grabs his burger, unwraping it in record time. The smile quickly fades away once he actually looks at the burger itself.
Williams: What's wrong?
FPV: THEY FUCKING PUT PICKELS ON IT!
Cut to commercial.
Zach Davis: What a night we've had so far here in Dallas. And it only promises to get better. Waht better way to keep the action rolling than to have THREE Champions competing in one match?! Throw in the fact that it is also part of the Trilogy Cup Tournament and we are talking about one hell of a reason to have your eyes glued on this one.
Shannan Lerch: That's right, the Internet Champion, Hardcore Champion and Television Champion are set to square off in just moments as Christopher Kane and Nathan von Liebert vie for a chance at Sarah Twilight's Television Championship.
Zach Davis: The stakes are high in this one as not only is Sarah defending the Television title, but as I mentioned, this is a first round match in the Trilogy Cup. Advancing puts you that much closer to a World Championship opportunity in May. An opportunity that all three would no doubt like to secure.
Shannan Lerch: Christopher Kane has been wowing audiences since his bursting onto the scene. At only fifteen, he has shown to be quite capable inside of the ring. It has lead to success for him, including securing the Internet Championship for himself. Tonight, he looks at an opportunity to not only become the Television Champion, but also a possible shot at the World Champion in a few months time. I see promising things ahead for this young man, and tonight could very well be his night.
Zach Davis: Nathan von Liebert has been on a tear all his own. There is no other way to describe him than as a monster. From kidnappings to the sheer brutality of his actions in the ring, it's no wonder he is our reigning hardcore champion. He is despised by just about everyone in the locker room and feared by some just as well. And for good reason! Polar Phantasm, Nightmare, Frank Patrick Venable, Roy Speede and Waylon Cash's fiancè have all been victims of his warpath. He looks to add Sarah Twilight and Christopher Kane to that list here tonight. He might just be crazy enough to do it. Could Nathan von Liebert be well on his way to a World Championship shot of his own?
Shannan Lerch: Then you have Sarah Twilight. At one time she was one of the most hated and despised women in this business. That is far from what we see today. Ever since her return, the fans have been solidly behind her. And her success thus far is undeniable. Since her return, she has won the WCF Classic, has yet to be pinned or submitted and was voted into a match against Synn for the Television Championship by our fans. She rides a lot of momentum heading into this contest. But she also has the most to lose. Will her Television Championship being at stake be the deciding factor that pushes her to victory and on her way to another guaranteed World Championship match?
Zach Davis: The anticipation for this one is killing me! Let's get this one started!
Kyle Steel: The following contest is a first round Trilogy Cup match! And it is for the WCF Television Championship!
The crowd roars like crazy.
Kyle Steel: Introducing first.....
The beginning of "The Air That I Breathe" by All That Remains begins to play as people rise to their feet.
Kyle Steel: From Ames, Iowa...weighing in at one hundred and seventy five pounds...he is the WCF Internet Champion..."The Youngest Hero" CHRISTOPHER KANE!!!!
A few moments pass by as out steps "The Youngest Hero" Christopher Kane. He motions for people to get to their feet if they're not already. Christopher begins to walk to the ring, slapping hands with the many fans who have their hands out over the guard rails. The WCF fans are cheering loudly for Christopher Kane as he hops up onto the ring apron before going to the turnbuckle and heading up to the top buckle. He raises his arms into the air for more noise before jumping into the ring, making a roll and popping back up to his feet. "The Youngest Hero" backs off into a corner and waits for the match to begin.
Kyle Steel: And his opponent....
The camera pans to the titantron, where an oak door comes into view. A thump is heard, and the door shakes on its hinges. Several more thumps occur, until the blade of an ax busts through the door. Smoke begins to form on the stage, as a dark figure steps out with another figure with him. Suddenly a woman voice yells out from the speaker.
"No, go away!
Leave me alone!"
Kyle Steel: Hailing from the Nightmare Realm and weighing in at two hundred and twenty nine pounds...he is the WCF Hardcore Champion...."The Devil's Right Hand" NATHAN VON LIEBERT!!!
Smoke billows down the aisle as the man walks down it to the ring, his identity shrouded in the smog. Meanwhile, on the titantron, the ax makes a large hole in the wood, and a hand reaches in for the door knob, the fingernails painted black. Again the frightened voice rings out as the mystery man slides into the ring.
"Don't you come in here!
I don't want you here.!"
The mystery man watches the titantron now, as the door opens, and the same man standing in the ring, steps into the house. A lightning bolt cracks behind him, equal in volume to the string of fireworks that fire up on the ramp. The man on the titantron rubs his thumb on the door, leaving a bloody smear on the polished oak. He lifts the ax with both hands, as the voice pleads.
"No, No, No, NO!!
The scream is cut off as the man swings the ax. Blood appears to splatter across the tron, and then the name "Nathan von Liebert" is written with a finger painted black. Nathan, who is at ringside, secures Roxanne Savage, the other figure accompanying him, to the ringpost with heavy chains. Nathan now gets into the ring where he falls to his knees. He then scans the members of the crowd that he could without contorting his torso.
Kyle Steel: And their opponent....
The lights go out as a spotlight centers on stage. Piano chords begin a haunting melody, accompanied by heavy drum beats. The crowd begins to cheer MASSIVELY as the video wall displays the words THE ONLY ONE.
Kyle Steel: From Los Angeles, California...weighing in at one hundred and forty two pounds...she is the reiging and defending WCF Television Champion..."The Mistress of Mischief" SARAH TWILIGHT!
Pyros shoot up from the stage as our melody finally kicks into guitar. "The Only One" by Evanescence continues to play as Sarah finally walks out onto the stage, Television Championship around her waist. She is greeted with deafening cheers and soaks them all in. The vibrant redhead confidently swaggers towards the ring and steps inside. Pyros now shoot off from the ring posts and Sarah takes to each turnbuckle in succession, pointing out toward the crowd and smiling. The cheers become even LOUDER. As the music continues, Sarah rolls outside of the ring and finds a young fan sitting at ringside. This time, it is a particular fan. Sitting in the assigned seat from the tickets given to her by Sarah is young Jenna Stevens. Sarah removes her signature "You Don't Matter" tee shirt that she wears over her wrestling attire and gives it to Jenna along with a high five before returning to the ring. She stands upon one of the turnbuckles, removing the championship and holding it skyward to another round of cheers as the music dies down.
Shannan Lerch: This one is ready to get under way! Three champions, Television title on the line...Trilogy Cup tournament! Wow!
Zach Davis: I am so excited I can barely contain myself!
Referee Charles Whitman collects all three championships, taking the Television Championship to hold it high for all to see before handing off each title to the time keeper. He calls for the bell and Christopher Kane wastes absolutely NO time as he comes flying at NvL with a spinning heel kick that connects, taking the unsuspecting Hardcore Champion off his feet. NvL is rattled by the sudden strike but sits up, shaking his head from the blow. Kane howwever, doesn't let up as he sends kick after kick to the chest of NvL. He fires off HARD shot after HARD shot, stinging the Hradcore Champion. This is short-lived though as Sarah Twilight sends him crashing down to the canvas with a clothesline. She follows up with a HARD knee drop to his forehead.
Zach Davis: The action has already taken off as Chris Kane fires off the first shot. You have to admire the drive of this young man. He wasn't going to wait around. NvL was just introduced to the fact that Chris Kane means business!
Shannan Lerch: Indeed he was. But this is a triple threat contest..a fact that Christopher was just reminded of by that clothesline from Sarah.
Sarah quickly reaches down and grabs Chris by the back of his head, hauling him to his feet. She launches him over the top rope to the outside. However, the young and agile Kane manages to hang on, and catches himself landing on the apron. Something that Sarah doesn't notice after she's disposed of him. Sarah turns her attention to NvL.
Zach Davis: Wise strategy by the Television Champion. Keep this a one on one contest if at all possible. Eliminating the third wheel is key to success in these kinds of matches.
Shanna Lerch: But Chris avoided catastrophe and is shaking off the cobwebs on the apron.
Sarah stalks NvL who is now getting back to his feet after the barrage of kicks he received from Chris. As he makes it to his feet, Sarah gives him no breathng room, kicking him in the gut and hauling him up and over with a fisherman's suplex. She keeps the leg hooked up as she bridges into a pin out of the attempt. Whitman slides into position.
Nathan kicks his shoulder up off of the canvas.
Zach Davis: Twilight trying to end this one early. Again, smart strategy but NvL is no slouch. He's the hardcore champion after all.
Shannan Lerch: Look at this!
Sarah rolls off of the pin attempt and makes it back to her feet, while at the same moment, Chris Kane, who was measuring this the entire time, pushes himself up from the apron and uses the top rope as a springboard and he NAILS Sarah with a dropkick out of the springboard. Sarah is sent down to the canvas. Kane kips right back up to his feet and races into the ropes. On the return he LAUNCHES himself at NvL (who had also gotten back to his feet) with a cross body. But NvL CATCHES HIM! NvL shifts Kane up and over his shoulder, taking a few steps forward and PLANTING him with a powerslam.
Zach Davis: Oh no. Nathan von Liebert has just awakened. This definitely can't be good for anyone.
Shannan Lerch: NvL is about as dangerous as they come and by the look on his face, I think he's got terrible things in mind!
NvL places his focus on Sarah now as she makes it back to her feet and he hooks her up for a double arm DDT, planting her into the canvas now. He follows up a few stiff legdrops across the back of her neck. Chris Kane makes it back up on wobbly legs and NvL doesn't sllow him any time to recover as he BLASTS the Internet Champion with a running big boot. Nvl grins wickedly as he looks down at his quarry before forcefully hauling him back to his feet, only to send him CRASHING back into the canvas with a sit-out powerbomb. NvL goes for the pinfall and Charles Whitmas gets into position.
Chris Kane manages to shoot his shoulder up at the last moment.
Zach Davis: And a close call there for Chris Kane. Nathan von Liebert has taken solid control of this matchup. This isn't good for Chris or Sarah.
Shannan Lerch: If he keeps up a pace like this, you're looking at the new TV Champion. Remember, Sarah doesn't have to be pinned in this match to lose her championship. That is a major disadvantage for her.
Zach Davis: NvL can quite possibly do it, if he manages to keep from getting disqualified.
NvL back to his feet and he returns his focus to Sarah who is making her way back up. He catches her with a German suplex. Sarah CRASHES into the canvas once again and NvL continues to pick apart both Chris and her. Nathan back to his feet after delivering the suplex and he's right back on Chris Kane, sending some HARD stomps down on him. Nvl hauls him back to his feet once again after the series of stomps and sends him into the ropes, planting him down HARD with a spinebuster. NvL again goes for the pinfall. Whitman is position.
Sarah out of nowhere, sends a snap kick into NvL's face JUST in time, breaking the attempt. Though Chris also shoots his shoulder up at the same time.
Zach Davis: Another near fall. This match is just nonstop!
Shannan Lerch: This is what happens when you put three champions in a match with one another. This is what WCF is all about. Trilogy Cup, Television Title at stake and they are bringing it all!
Sarah is still a little rattled from the suplex but she brings Nathan to his feet, sending a few hard right hands at him followed by a European uppercut that staggers the Hardcore Champion. She sends him for a whip into the ropes, but it is reversed and she is sent for the Irish whip instead. On the return, she rushes him for a clothesline, but it's ducked. Sarah stops short after the missed attemt, but NvL gives her no time to correct as he grabs her from behind in a reverse suplex position.
Shannan Lerch: STRAIGHT JACKET DROP!
Zach Davis: Oh my GOD! We are gonna have a new TV Champ!
Sarah is dropped HARD into the canvas and Nathan drops down for the cover. Charles Whitman in position and he makes the count.
Sarah manages to shoot a shoulder up JUST before three. NvL is LIVID and refuses to accept a two count. He glares at Whitman who insists that it was just two.
Zach Davis: She KICKED OUT! HOW? That is INSANE!
Shannan Lerch: That was almost too close to call. I don't believe it, and neither does Nathan.
NvL angrily gets back to his feet and he reaches down grabbing a handful of Sarah's red hair to haul her back up, but out of nowhere, Chris Kane NAILS NvL with a shining wizard that takes him right off his feet. Kane right back to his feet and he takes a few paces before he lands a standing backflip moonsult on Sarah how, as he goes for the cover himself. Whitman again in position.
Sarah again shoots her shoulder off the canvas.
Zach Davis: Another kick out, but Sarah is in some trouble after that Straight Jacket Drop.
Shannan Lerch: Christopher Kane in control at the moment, and I think he'd better focus his attention on NvL, who is starting to stir again.
Zach Davis: The Television Champion worse for wear right now, so yes, Kane focusing on the current threat would be a wise move.
Seemingly it's as if Chris heard them because he shifts focus from Sarah to NvL. The Hradcore Champion makes it back to his feet and the Internet Champion is on him like a rapid dog, sending sharp kicks to his head, and torso. NvL fires back with a hard knee that stops the young Kane in his tracks. NvL with a whip into the ropes and this time, Chris on the return with a leg lariat that fells von Liebert.
Zach Davis: And now the youngest hero is in solid control! This is the opportunity he's needed!
Chris shoots back up and remains on the attack. NvL gets up still on wobbly legs and Chris takes him over with a hurricarrana. Nathan tumbles across the mat, still pretty dazed by the high flying assault.
Shannan Lerch: And he is on FIRE right now! This is definitely his chance, but he has to make sure he doesn't make any mistakes. At this stage, anything can wind up being costly.
NvL is back to his feet once again, obviosuly a bit dizzy after the fast paced antics of the Internet Champ. He stumbles a few steps before turning around just in time to see Chris flying at him once again. This time he takes Nathan around for a headscissors and transitions it into a crufifix pinfall.
Shanna Lerch: He calls that La Quackica and Nathan is in serous trouble!
Zach Davis: It could be over right here!
Whitman again slides into position for the pinfall attempt.
Nathan forces his way off the canvas.
Zach Davis: And NvL with a kick out! That was close!
Shannan Lerch: Control shifting every which direction at the drop of a dime. All three champions and all three will be very tough to defeat. It's going to come down to either luck or who wants it just that much more.
Chris rolls back up out of the pinfall attempt and is taken down harshly with an unexpected neckbreaker courtesy of Sarah Twilight, who is now back into the mix. Nathan slowly gets to his knees after Chris' onslaught and is also met with further assault as Sarah grabs him into a dragon clutch and drops him down HARD over her knee for a backbreaker. The crowd is getting into things now and they begin to cheer.
Zach Davis: Back and forth like I've never seen. This might be what favors our current Television Champion. We've seen these late match comebacks before. Sarah has seemed to have gotten a second wind and she's now put this match in her control and at her own pace.
Shannan Lerch: We've also seen comebacks from NvL and Chris Kane in the past so this thing isn't over just yet. But I do agree that it's looking good for Sarah right now.
Sarah keeps her attention evenly between the two, giving neither too much time to regroup. She takes Christopher over with a quick snap suplex. Though the crowd has now turned to a chorus of boos, and as our cameras find themselves focused on the entrance ramp, we can see why. The WCF World Champion, Eric Price starts making his way down the ramp.
Zach Davis: Oh what the hell is HE doing out here?
Shannan Lerch: He can come out here to watch the match if he wants.
Zach Davis: We both know damn well that he isn't out here just to watch the match.
Eric makes his way down to ringside and over towards the announce table. Sarah eyes him coldly the entire time, having noticed him when he approached ringside. Eric has a seat at the announce table and puts on a headset.
Shannan Lerch: What a pleasure to have you join us, Mr. Price.
Eric Price: Thank you, thank you. I felt it my duty to keep an eye on this contest.
Zach Davis: You mean, to try and distract Sarah from her match?
Eric glares at Zach.
Eric Price: How DARE YOU! It's alright when she constantly assaults me from behind, spouting tick tock, TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK. When she TRIES to distract me from my duties as your World Champion by threatening to take MY TITLE, that's alright. But when I merely ccome out here to keep an eye on her and make certain she doesn't cheat, that is a problem?
Zach Davis: That's not why you're out here and we all know it.
Eric Price: Taking her side, just like all of them! They always take her side. They love her so much and yet she is a dirty rotten cheater. I just don't understand it. ALL OF YOU, ALL OF YOU TAKE HER SIDE!
Eric starts pointing out at various places in the crowd, shouting as if the crowd could hear him. Back in the ring, Sarah remains focused on the task at hand as she sends Chris into the turnbuckle for an Irish whip. Chris uses the momentum and leaps up onto the turnbuckle, doing a 180 spin to fly back at Sarah, instead he is met with a kick to the gut on the way down. Kane doubless over and Sarah hauls him up.
Zach Davis: TWILIGHT ZONE!
Shannan Lerch: I think this one is over and done with.
Eric Price: Oh sure, take the easy way out and beat up on the teenager. This is typical of Sarah Twilight. Unlike her, I am honest and fair.
Zach Davis: Chris Kane is a legitimate participant in this match!
Sarah drops down for the cover and Whitman slides into position.
Eric Price: NO! NO!
Eric Price: DAMN IT NO!
Zach Davis: WAIT NO!
Eric Price: YES! YES! YES!
NvL kicks Sarah at the LAST possible second and managed to break up the count. Whitman calls it at two.
Eric Price: Oh thank goodness for Nathan. She tried to steal the victory yet again but Nathan prevented such a travesty.
Zach Davis: Steal the victory? What a load of crap!
Eric Price: You should be showing me the proper respect Zachary. I am your World Champion and I WILL be respected!
Shannan Lerch: He always disrespects you Mr. Price, Sir. Always negative things to say.
Eric Price: Perhaps I'll need to teach Mr. Davis a lesson in respect as well.
NvL yanks Sarah back to her feet and he disposes of her with a brainbuster that sends her down to the canvas HARD. Eric Price is almost frothing at the mouth as he watches this. Nathan puts his focus on Chris Kane, who is still pretty out of it from The Twilight Zone. He pulls Chris to his feet and wraps him up in the top and middle rope by his arms. Nathan starts scaling the turnbuckle.
Eric Price: Young Chris is about to learn a lesson. This is wonderful how Nathan is providing such a great service teaching the young lad about the pitfalls of this career choice. Stay in school Christopher!
Zach Davis: What the hll? A minute ago you claimed Sarah was taking the easy way out and now when it's NvL you condone it?
Eric Price: What? No, I said no such things. Call the match Zachary!
Shannan Lerch: Nathan looking for the Demon Bounce and I think this one is going to be over!
Nathan is atop the turnbuckle, about to scale it toward Chris when something catches his eye. The crowd ERUPTS as Waylon Cash hops the barricade with a pair of bolt cutters in hand. Roxanne's eyes light up seeing her man.
Eric Price: Now this Genesis hooligan is out here to distract Nathan! Cheaters, all of them!
Zach Davis: Waylon Cash looking to rescue Roxanne. He's got the cutters.
Shannan Lerch: NvL is fixated on him!
Eric Price: NO! NO! Focus on the match! ON THE MATCH!
Waylon uses the bolt cutters to cut the chains free and he struggles to cut through them. Nathan drops down from the turnbuckle and makes his way toward the corner where they were, he looks completely crazed right now and starts ripping at his own hair.
Zach Davis: NvL is out of his mind right now! And he deserves every bit of it. Waylon Cash here to free his woman and I don't blame him.
Nathan reaches down to grab hold of Roxanne just as Waylon gets her free and backs her away to safety. Charles Whitman has his attention on Waylon to make certain he doesn't interfere in the match. With Whitman making sure that Waylon and Roxanne now leave ringside, NvL turns his focus back to the match and he receives a kick to the gut as he turns around, courtesy of the Television Champ.
Zach Davis: TWILIGHT ZONE AGAIN!
Shannan Lerch: NvL might be out!
Eric Price: NO! This cannot stand! This is a travesty! I won't allow it!
Zach Davis: Where the hell are you going?
Eric gets up from the announce table, unseen by Sarah who now has her sights set on Chris Kane, who has manages to get himself free from the ropes, though he is still pretty out of it. Sarah measures him, circling around, waiting...Whitman is dealing with Waylon who is finally leaving ringside and Eric makes his move. He reaches under the bottom rope and grabs hold of Sarah's ankles, dragging her out from the ring. The crowd boos LOUDLY.
Zach Davis: OH COME ON!
Shannan Lerch: I can't believe he just did that!
Zach Davis: Oh, now you question him little miss Price?
Shannan Lerch: When he is sitting here, yes. I don't want problems.
Sarah hits the mats on the outside and immediately pushes herself back to her feet only to see Eric who is slowly backing off, a HUGE grin on his face. She immediately starts after him, catching him halfway up the ramp. Meanwhile, Chris Kane has reccomposed himself and sees a prone Nathan down on the canvas.
Zach Davis: Oh boy, he's gonna pay for it now!
Shannan Lerch: Look back in the ring!
Eric and Sarah starts trading blows on the outside as Chris Kane leaps to the top turnbuckle and DIVES off for the YOUNGEST SAULT and he SLAMS into NvL! Staying on him for the cover. Whitman hurries into position.
Sarah with a HARD shove that pushes Eric back into the guardrail.
She races back to the ring realizing what has taken place because of Eric's distraction.
But she's too late. Eric, holding his back is grinning like a Cheshire cat. Bell rings.
Kyle Steel: Here is your winner and NEW WCF Television Champion.....CHRISTOPHER KANE!!!
Zach Davis: Oh my God! We have a new champion. Eric Price just cost Sarah Twilight the TV Championship!
Shannan Lerch: And she can't believe it. But right now, Chris Kane is the Internet AND Television Champions! This is something epic!
Zach Davis: Eric Price is a despicable human being. My congratulations to Chris Kane, who seems to realize what happened now. The young Kane is shaking his head at Eric, but you can't blame him for taking the opportunity that was presented.
Shannan Lerch: That's the thing about triple threats. You don't need to be involved in the decision in order to lose a championship. Eric exploited that and it cost Sarah here tonight.
Zach Davis: Things between Sarah Twilight and Eric Price are boiling over...and FAST! Price with a message sent loud and clear here tonight. Twilight yet to be pinned or submitted, but that is a small consolation after losing the Television Championship.
Shannan Lerch: In the end though, our story is that we've crowned a new Television Champion. Christopher Kane picks up the victory and the TV Title here tonight regardless.
Sarah GLARES at Eric from the ring as he is now on the stage, laughing and pointing at her. She rolls out of the ring and starts toward him furiously as Chris Kane celebrates his victory to a good round of cheers, but understandably, many are still booing the actions of Eric Price.
“Capricco” by Krzysztof Penderecki hits the sound system with a loud hit of drums followed by a sharp harmony of horns and strings. Benjamin Atreyu casually steps out onto the entrance ramp, savoring the scowls of the audience. After breathing in their discontent he descends the ramp to the ring.
Zach Davis: Certainly an interesting match coming up. The former Tag Team champions, facing off in a one on one match.
Shannan Lerch: There's a bit of a grudge between these two men, and on top of that, the winner advances in the Trilogy Cup tournament! A lot on the line here.
“With Oden On Our Side” Hit’s the PA system. The arena grows dark as the fans get to their feet to catch a glimpse of the stage. The fans stand and cheer an once the vocals starts, the arena lights flash back on and there stands Odin Balfore, centre stage. Odin stares down at the ring with a sinister grin as the fans sing along with the chorus.
Crowd: Futile to resist! You know we have come! Futile to resist... the battle is.. already won!
Crowd: Futile to resist! You know we have come! Futile to resist... the battle is.. already won!
The fans pop insanely right after as Odin begins to walk down the ramp at a slow an methodical pace. Once he gets to the foot of the ring, he steps up on it and looks around the arena again before stepping over the ropes..
Crowd: Futile to resist! You know we have come! Futile to resist...
Odin cuts off the fans as he raises his hand in triumph. Odin turns back to the ring as the fans finish their part.
Crowd: The battle is.. already won!
Odin stares down his opponent as he waits for the match to get underway.
DING DING DING
Odin wastes no time, attacking Atreyu as the bell sounds. Odin hits Atreyu with some knees to the gut, followed by clubbing blows to his back. Backing Atreyu into the corner, he follows with more knee thrusts. The ref breaks them up from the corner and as Atreyu comes forward, Odin again grabs him and hits a strong headbutt, knocking Atreyu to the mat.
Zach Davis: The Nordic Tank, doing what he does best.
Odin pulls Atreyu off the mat and softens him up with a few jabs before setting up for a belly-to-belly suplex. He attempts, but Atreyu blocks it with his leg. Odin attempts it again, Atreyu blocks it again, but this time, Atreyu grabs Odin's leg out from underneath him and drops him with a single-leg takedown. Holding the leg, he reaches for Odin's other leg and scrambles to lock in a figure four--
Shannan Lerch: Atreyu's going for a submission this early in the match!
Zach Davis: It's great strategy, he's putting the hurt on the big man's legs, whether he's looking for a submission or not.
With the figure four leglock applied, Odin yells out in pain. Atreyu sits up, applying more pressure to the legs. The ref checks Odin, who will not submit. A few painful moments pass before Odin tries to inch his way toward the ropes.
Shannan Lerch: One advantage that Odin has is his height-- he doesn't have far to go to grab that bottom rope.
Despite Atreyu's efforts to keep Odin away from the ropes, Odin eventually grabs the bottom rope. Atreyu releases the hold after a few seconds. Odin sighs with relief, but holds his knees in pain as he tries to get back to his feet. Odin gets to a knee and Atreyu approaches, hitting him with several kicks across his chest. Odin is reeling, but won't go down-- until Atreyu takes a few steps back and charges forward with a running knee to Odin's face! Atreyu covers Odin.
Shannan Lerch: Kickout before two.
Zach Davis: And it looks like Odin is taking a breather.
After the pin attempt, Odin quickly rolls out of the ring. He slowly paces around the ring.
Shannan Lerch: Not a bad idea, breaking some of Atreyu's momentum.
But Atreyu climbs through the ropes onto the apron, behind Odin. He jumps off with a double axehandle--
Zach Davis: Odin turns around and spears Atreyu mid-air into the ring apron!
Shannan Lerch: That's the crafty veteran side of Odin Balfore. Classic Odin.
Zach Davis: And remember, these guys are former Tag Team champions together-- they know each other. They can predict each other's movements.
Atreyu arches his back in pain, as Odin grabs him and slams his head into the guardrail. Odin rolls Atreyu back into the ring, and follows him, climbing onto the apron and stepping over the top rope. He stays on Atreyu with a series of knee drops, before pulling him to his feet.
Zach Davis: Odin setting up Atreyu with a headlock, lifts him up and has him inverted... stalling now, in a display of strength by the Nordic Tank... and brings him down to the mat hard with the inverted suplex.
Shannan Lerch: Now Odin has the cover, here's the ref.
Zach Davis: Atreyu with a shoulder up at two.
Odin brings Atreyu to his feet and jabs him a few times. Atreyu begins to fight back, throwing punches of his own. Odin eventually gets the advantage and whips Atreyu to the ropes-- Odin lands a big boot on the return! And Atreyu collapses to the mat. Odin drops down and hooks both of Atreyu's legs.
Shannan Lerch: NO! Atreyu powers out! I thought it was over.
Odin looks a bit frustrated as he pulls Atreyu off the mat once again. He scoops up Atreyu and throws him over his shoulder.
Zach Davis: Looks like he's setting up for the Lawmaker, that running powerslam!
Odin starts running, but Atreyu slips off Odin's shoulder and shoves him into the turnbuckle! Odin bounces off and when he turns around--
Zach Davis: BLACK EYE SONATA! Benjamin Atreyu hits it out of nowhere!
With Odin reeling, Atreyu slips behind him and hits a back suplex backbreaker! Atreyu drops a knee across Odin's throat, choking him out. The ref warns him, and he releases it after a few seconds. Atreyu pulls Odin off the mat and puts him in the Burner Hammer position--
Shannan Lerch: What strength by Atreyu, that's a three hundred and forty pound man across his shoulders!
Zach Davis: REQUIEM IN D MINOR! Atreyu with the pin!
DING DING DING
“Capricco” by Krzysztof Penderecki plays over the PA.
Zach Davis: Atreyu wins!
Shannan Lerch: He's defeated his former tag team partner, and advances in the Trilogy Cup!
But Atreyu isn't done. Despite the bell ringing, he stomps repeatedly at Odin.
Zach Davis: It looks like Atreyu isn't done taking out his frustrations on his former Tag Team partner. This isn't right!
Atreyu lifts Odin up. Odin is already dazed from the Reqium in D-Minor, and Atreyu measures him... BOOM! BLACK EYE SONATA!
Shannan Lerch: ANOTHER blow to Odin's head!
Odin drops to the mat, and he is knocked out cold. Atreyu looks down at him, grinning, before dropping otu of the ring and heading to the back.
Zach Davis: This... this is serious. Odin isn't moving, he may have a concussion.
Soon medics have hit the ring, and they're attending to Odin, being careful of his neck as they load him onto a stretcher.
Shannan Lerch: I know Odin isn't always the most popular star in the company with the fans, and he's done some terrible things, but you hate to see this. Benjamin Atreyu just seriously injured one of WCF's top stars.
Roy Speede is seen walking down the hallway, passing by the different locker rooms of various WCF superstars. Step by step, he gets closer to his locker room, before he can reach over and grab the knob of his door, Hank stops him in his tracks. Asking him multiple questions at once before Roy could respond.
Hank Brown: Roy, how do you feel about your match earlier in the night being cancelled for no apparent reason?
Roy Speede: Excuse me Hank, but not now. I have to find out what's going on with FPV-
Hank just shrugs his shoulders, and slowly walk away from Roy as he twists open the door to his locker room. He closes the door before turning to face his locker room, he notices the lights are off and he flips the switch, shining light upon the locker room. As soon as the light flashes on he is attacked by a man dressed in a black hoodie and sweatpants, as well as a black mask on his face. He slams Roy against the door, and continues the attack with multiple kicks and punches. Roy gets a kick in to push the man back, but it is no use.
As soon as Roy tries to get up he is then engulfed in more punches and kicks. After finishing them off with one final kick to his head, the masked man pickes up Roy by his hair and throws him towards the other end of the locker room. The throw sends him flying over his locker room bench and slamming into the lockers that sit behind it.
After the throw the back man picks up a small black bag and un-zips it, pulling out a can of red spray paint. He shakes it a couple of times as Roy tries to regain his senses of what just happened. The man then begins to spray paint the word Genesis on the tan colored wall behind the dazed Roy. Roy grabs the attackers hand in retaliation, but is met with another kick, ceasing the attacks from Roy.
The masked man then proceeds to spray paint a huge circle around the word “Genesis”, finishing off the master piece with one slashed line from the top left of the circle to the bottom right. The man then turns and walks towards the door of the locker room, leaving Roy dazed and confused of what just happened.
The sight from the back of the man's hoodie can now be seen as the words “The Cure” written in white spray paint can now finally be read. The man stops right before the door, reaches in his pocket and puts on gloves, then wiping down the spray can, eliminating the finger prints. He then drops the can, grabs the black bag on the floor and runs out of the locker room door leaving Roy dazed and confused on the floor, leaning against the lockers. After moments pass medical personal run into Roy's room, checking on the victim of the attack.
Kyle Steel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the United States Championship. Coming out first: the challenger, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and weighing 238 pounds: Jay Price!!!!
"4 Words To Choke Upon" by Bullet For My Valentine hits the PA System as the lights in the arena drop. Strobe lights emanate from the stage area as Jay Price strolls out from the back, a bag of popcorn in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. He'll take a moment to pause at the top of ramp and look out at the crowd before he makes his way down to the ring. He'll stop by the announce table and set down his popcorn and glass of wine before rolling into the ring under the bottom rope. He'll then walk over to the corner, hop up onto the top turnbuckle and take a seat until the match starts.
Zach Davis: Jay Price has wanted his shot at the United States Title for months, and at last, he’s getting it.
Shannan Lerch: He looks motivated, Zach. Jay Price has held nearly every title in this company, but you can tell this match is important to him.
Kyle Steel: And his opponent, from Grant, Iowa, weighing 270 pounds, he is the United States Champion: “Scoutmaster” Stuart Slane!!!!
“Follow Me, Boys!” plays as Stu marches out from the back, silently mouthing the lyrics to his theme as he heads down the ramp. He does a circuit around the outside of the ring before climbing the steps and entering. After some last minute old timey calisthenics (Indian twists, deep knee bends, etc) The Scoutmaster goes his corner. He hands his hat and sash off to a WCF stagehand and assumes a fighting position.
Shannan Lerch: “Scoutmaster” has had an impressive run with the United States Title. But that could end tonight.
Zach Davis: Yeah, Slane has faced tough competition to win and keep the belt, but this could be his biggest challenge to date.
The referee takes the belt from Stu and holds it over his head to show it off to the crowd. The two men immediately go nose to nose. They exchange trash talk.
Zach Davis: Pretty clear these two do not like each other.
Shannan Lerch: With good reason. Scoutmaster tried to blackmail his way out of even having this match with Jay Price, and then, when he didn’t get what he wanted, dropped a dime on Jay’s Pantheon stablemate Jonny Fly.
Zach Davis: It’s a bit more complicated than that, Shannan- look out!
Slane suddenly headbutts Price in the middle of the referee’s instructions. He grabs Price by the hair to try again, but Jay powers out and drives an elbow right into his jaw. When Stu stumbles back Price follows that up with a Thesz Press. The referee calls for the bell, and the match is underway.
Shannan Lerch: These two weren’t interested in waiting for the bell.
Zach Davis: Not at all! I have a feeling this match is going to be brutal.
Price mounts Slane and starts hammering away with rights and lefts. He takes his forearm and grinds it into his downed foe’s face. Stu pushes him off and clambers to his feet, but Price is ready. He slaps at his neck, snaps his head down, and puts Slane in a standing guillotine choke. He knees Slane repeatedly in the gut. After several strikes he releases the hold, letting Stu fall. Once he’s down, Price runs the ropes and comes back with a running dropkick to the face. Cover. One! Two! Slane powers out.
Zach Davis: Jay Price is dominating early on in this match!
Jay presses the advantage, driving his knee into Stu’s back when he sits up and applying a reverse chinlock. Wincing in pain, the Scoutmaster struggles to his feet, bringing Price with him. Jay transitions the hold to a Side Russian leg sweep, again knocking the bigger man down, and follows that up with a knee drop to the right arm. He tries to follow that up with a crucifix armbar but Slane reaches out with his left hand and grabs the ropes. The referee orders Jay off of Stu, and the Scoutmaster pulls himself to the apron and outside the ring, where he stalks back and forth, eyeing Price warily while rubbing his right bicep.
Shannan Lerch: It has been all Price so far tonight. I don’t think Scoutmaster was expecting this kind of performance from the Pantheon member.
Jay slides under the ropes on the adjacent side of the ring that Stu is on and prepares to go after him. Slane, meanwhile, rolls back into the ring. When Price tries to enter Scouty is waiting for him, kicking and stomping at him to keep him outside. The referee warns Stu to back off, but the champ refuses. The act is enough for Jay to jump up and hang Scouty’s throat on the tope rope, which knocks him back. Jay slides in and charges Stu. In desperation, Scoutmaster “oles” Price, sending him crashing into the ropes behind him. When Price rebounds he runs right into an elbow from Slane. Slane begins to hammer away at Price’s shoulders and neck with his forearms. When he finally gets Price doubled over he pounds away at his back. The crowd, which until recently was cheering Price on, starts to boo as his fortunes change.
Zach Davis: This is the issue with fighting Scoutmaster. He is so damn strong.
Shannan Lerch: You’re right, Zach. There is nothing pretty about Stuart Slane’s offense. He just tries to beat you to a pulp.
Scoutmaster grabs Jay’s hair and flings him backwards with a mat slam. The ref again warns him, but Stu orders him back. Scouty drops an elbow on Jay. And another. And another. And another. Finally he straddles his downed opponent and, grabbing the sides of his head, lifts it up and repeatedly smashes it down against the mat.
Zach Davis: Scoutmaster appears to be targeting Jay Price’s head and neck now, which is smart, given his injury history.
Finally, Slane pulls Price to his feet and sets him up for a hangman’s neckbreaker, only Jay is able to slip out and transition it into an inverted headlock backbreaker. The fans pop big at the counter, but Jay is spent, and can’t capitalize. He drops to his hands and knees as Stu rolls away.
Zach Davis: Jay Price was able to stop Scoutmaster’s assault, but it’s taken its toll on him!
Price stands, clutching his neck just as Stu manages to rise, both hands holding his back. The two glare at each other. They begin to inch closer, circling, until finally they lock up. Slane gets the advantage, floating behind Price and flinging him to the mat with a waistlock takedown. He transitions that into a front facelock, and begins to torque the smaller man’s already dodgy neck. This goes on for a bit.
Shannan Lerch: Slane is back working Jay Price’s neck.
The hold continues. Did you know Big John Studd once had Andre the Giant in a facelock for over eight minutes in a match? The things one can learn from YouTube. Anyways, this doesn’t go on nearly that long, in part because Jay is finally able to position himself so his foot is on the bottom rope. The ref spots it and orders Stu to break the hold. Scoutmaster waits, knowing he has until five. The count out starts. One! Two! Three! Four! Scoutmaster lets go. Getting to his feet, he is held back by the official so Jay can stand. Once he has Stu rushes him and tries for a Cactus clothesline, only Jay jukes behind him. Slane hits the ropes and bounces back, right into Jay’s arms. Grabbing Scoutmaster by the waist, he lifts him and sends him crashing to the mat with a release German suplex.
Zach Davis: Jay Price with his own impressive feat of strength!
Jay gets to his feet first and comes after Slane. He pulls him up and screams in his face, pointing at his own neck. He kicks Stu in the stomach and then smashes his face against his bent knee.
Zach Davis: Busted Grill!
Scoutmaster drops to the mat. Jay covers. One! Two! Scoutmaster raises his shoulder. Price looks pissed. He pulls Scoutmaster up and Irish whips him into the corner. He charges, and jumps, and knees Slane right in the jaw with a high knee. Holding the rope with one hand he begins raining punches down on Scoutmaster’s skull. The crowd begins counting. One! Two! Three! Four! Five! Six! Seven! The referee finally moves in to break it up. Stu, meanwhile, has had his forehead busted open. Price moves out of the corner, raising his arms to encourage the already cheering crowd. He pivots and runs back and targets Scoutmaster with a Yakuza kick, only to have Slane duck out of the way!
Shannan Lerch: Ouch! Jay Price has gotten on leg caught up on the top rope after that missed Yakuza kick!
Scoutmaster drops down and clips Price’s knee. The WCF’s CFO falls awkwardly on top of Stu. The bigger man pushes him off. He then grabs the leg he chop-blocked and drops an elbow across the back of the knee. Price howls in pain. Stu stands and grabs his leg, lifting Jay up by it and sending him crashing kneecap first to the mat. Jay says a bunch of bad words and grabs at his shin.
Zach Davis: This looks bad. Jay Price’s knee might be torn up.
Obviously, Slane is thinking the same thing. The second part at least. He kicks Price repeatedly in the gut, forcing him to the apron. Then, grabbing the ropes, he leaps up and stomps his foot on Price’s injured leg. He holds his position, keeping the limb pinned to the mat, before adding his other foot so he is standing on Jay’s hurt leg. The ref orders Stu off, since he’s holding the ropes, but Slane waits. The official starts to count him out. One! Two! Three! Four! Fi- Slane jumps off of Price’s leg, but immediately uses his feet to kick him to the outside of the ring. Jay falls awkwardly to the mat, holding his hurt leg. Scoutmaster uses his neckerchief to wipe the blood from his face and then screams at the referee.
Scoutmaster: Start counting!
Seeing as its his job, the ref does as Scoutmaster instructed.
Jay Price begins stirring. Slane is going back and forth, waiting to see what is going to happen.
Shannan Lerch: What a way to retain your United States Title... wow.
Zach Davis: Slane has retained his belt, Price is barely stirring. Maybe the Scoutmaster is right... maybe Pantheon is dead.
Shannan Lerch: Well-
With one huge burst of energy, Jay Price propels himself into the ring!
Zach Davis: OH MY! I DON'T BELIEVE IT!
The crowd pops, and Slane can't believe it! He begins arguing with the ref that that was ten, but the ref is shaking his head no. Shaking his head angrily, Slane turns back to Price, who is slowly pulling himself up using the ropes.
Shannan Lerch: Counted out or not, Price is still dead meat.
Slane runs at Price, hitting him with a huge Big Boot!
Zach Davis: NO! PRICE DUCKS IT!
Price ducks the Big Boot, and Slane turns around..
Shannan Lerch: DOWNFALL! PRICE HITS THE DOWNFALL!
Price falls on top of Slane, hooking the leg.
Zach Davis: NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION!
The crowd pops huge as Price rolls off of Slane, panting.
Shannan Lerch: I DON'T BELIEVE IT! After all these months, Jay Price has done it!
The referee waits for Price to get up, but Jay can't do it. Another ref enters the ring and the two of them help Price to his feet, as one hands them the United States Title. Meanwhile, Slane rolls out of the ring.
Zach Davis: History has been made, folks. History has been made.
Jay Price grabs the US Title and holds it high in the air to one more big pop from the crowd.
Zach Davis: Guys, I'm being told that FPV has entered the building. I repeat, FPV has entered the building and is coming her as we-
FPV: Beat you to the punch, Zach!
The crowd EXPLODES into cheers of joy as "Ghosts 'N Stuff" finally plays over the P.A after a long absence. Out the curtains comes FPV, still being rolled in by Dr. Williams, a mic in his hand and the last of his nuggets in the other. He quickly eats it as Williams rolls him down the ramp for a lap around the ring, as FPV slaps the hands of the audience members around him. The music fades away, and after swallowing his food, FPV addresses the crowd.
FPV: What the fuck is up, Dallas! Been too long...WAY too long.
FPV let's the crowd pop before speaking again.
FPV: I know, I missed you guys too. If you're wondering why I'm in a wheelchair right now...well...I just woke up from a coma, and I really can't use them at the moment. But make no mistakes about it, come next week, FPV is going to be back in this WCF ring. No, let me get this shit straight, Eric Price is our champion now?
The crowd starts booing like crazy after hearing Eric's name.
FPV: And also that Jonny Fly is our owner now?
The crowd actually cheers for Fly, as FPV nods in understanding. He turns his head towards Zach.
FPV: Hey Zach, how's Genesis doing?
Zach Davis: Well, right now Waylon and Orbit are Tag team champs, Sarah is Television champ, and STJ is People's champ.
FPV: WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA, STJ is in Genesis!?
Zach Davis: That's right, him and Tek joined last week.
FPV: Looks like Genesis has been busy as fuck after I left, I like it! And as much as I would like to stay and talk business with y'all, there are some matters I need to discuss with whoever's in charge here. I'll be back for Slam. Be ready...Be FUCKING ready for it!
The crowd cheers once again for FPV and Williams rolls him out the arena as "Ghosts N 'Stuff" comes back on.
Zach Davis: FUCKING YES! FPV is finally back in the WCF! This is amazing!
Shannan Lerch: This means so many different things right now, but I suppose the most prevalent thing to take away from this is to watch your back, things are about to get loopy again in the WCF.
Eric Price is shown backstage getting ready for his matchup as Gravedigger walks up to him.
Gravedigger: Hey champ, you’re going to beat Steeltoe Joe tonight and shut Genesis up about the World Title forever.
Eric Price: Absolutely!
Gravedigger: Great, I’ll be out there as your backup in case Genesis decides to interfere.
Eric Price: Actually Gravedigger, tonight, I doubt they will interfere. You see, I know STJ and he is a man of pride and principles and all this other nonsense and it is this foolish pride that will ensure no interference from Genesis will occur.
Gravedigger: So you don’t need me out there tonight?
Eric Price: Not tonight. This is a personal issue and I want to settle it personally. Besides, wait until you see what I have planned for Joe, trust me, you will love it!
Gravedigger: In that case, best of luck champ, I know you’ll kick his ass tonight!
Eric Price walks away as Gravedigger wonders what Price has in store for STJ in the match.
The shot switches over to ringside.
Zach Davis: And now it’s time for the World Title match here at Timebomb. This is a contest that has been greatly anticipated for some time now and it finally happens tonight, Eric Price vs Steeltoe Joe with the WCF World Heavyweight Title on the line.
Shannan Lerch: Eric Price has been on a roll but with the merger of Prophecy and Genesis last week, Steeltoe Joe also shows that he will not go down without a fight!
“Barton Hollow” by the Civil Wars begins to play over the speaker system of the American Airlines Arena. The Arena Goes Dark. The Entrance Gate area and Stage begin to flicker with White lights and neon blue flashes mixed as fog fills the gate area and Steeltoe Joe comes walking out amidst the Fog. Joe stands on the stage and plays to the crowd as they cheering for him loudly. Joe then walks down the ramp making his way to the ring steps where he stops.
Zach Davis: And here comes Steeltoe Joe, the challenger in this matchup who is looking for revenge and to shut Eric Price up here tonight!
Crowd: Let’s go Joe! Let’s go Joe! Let’s go Joe!
Before he steps up to the ring, he does a Catholic Crucifix motion and then walks up the steps and into the ring. He climbs up two turnbuckles and does the same crucifix motion and raises his arms and points towards Heaven.
Shannan Lerch: If anything, it is Price who wants retribution here tonight after being assaulted for no reason last week on Slam!
Zach Davis: No reason? Highly unlikely.
“You Know My Name” by Chris Cornell begins to play over the speaker system as Eric Price comes out from the entrance ramp. He has a huge grin on his face as gold and green lights flash on stage and a gold spotlight focuses right on Eric Price. He walks down with the WCF World Title draped around his shoulder as he looks down on the crowd, who are booing him massively
Zach Davis: And here comes a sick individual. He is becoming more unhinged and psychotic, day after day, hour after hour as he holds that World Title.
Shannan Lerch: Why do you talk about our World Champion that way? He’s a confident human being and he is defending his title here tonight despite all the boos from these people.
Zach Davis: And why not, he tried to take out Sarah Twilight.
Shannan Lerch: UNPROVEN!
Crowd: You suck! You suck! You suck!
Zach Davis: He attacked a defenseless and recuperating Jeff Purse!
Shannan Lerch: Jeff started it!
Zach Davis: He stole yet another kiss from Kari!
Shannan Lerch: She liked it and she knows it!
Eric Price makes his way into the ring with a huge smirk on his face holding his World Title over his head as the ring announcer prepares to introduce the competitors in this matchup.
Kyle Steel: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is set for one fall and it is for the WCF World Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from Stockton, CA, standing at 6’ 5”, weighing in at 272 pounds, he is the Holy Flame and the WCF World Champion, Steeltoe Joe!
Crowd cheers loudly for Joe
Crowd: STJ! STJ! STJ!
Zach Davis: The World Champion definitely the favorite here tonight and beloved by his people.
Kyle Steel: And his opponent, from Pacific Palisades, CA, standing at 6’ 4” tall, weighing in at 245 pounds, he the WCF World Heavyweight Champion and the greatest WCF World Heavyweight Champion of all time, a man of class, integrity, and intelligence, the one and only Mr. Eric Price!
Crowd boos loudly
Shannan Lerch: What an appropriate introduction for our World Champion!
Zach Davis: Arrogance personified for a certifiable jerk who clearly needs constant attention and adulation.
Shannan Lerch: Nonsense!
Eric rolls out of the ring and demands a microphone from the timekeeper.
Zach Davis: Oh what the hell, this is our main event, come on!
Eric Price: Hang on just a second, before we start this matchup. I want to say something.
Crowd: Asshole! Asshole! Asshole!
Shannan Lerch: Please, let our champion speak, come on!
Eric Price: Ahem! As I was saying, I heard tonight we have a few very special fans in attendance. You see, a little birdie told me that apparently Sarah Twilight received some fan mail from a girl who wants to be a wrestler when she groups up, just like her. Awww.
Eric walks over where she sees the girl ringside as Joe is in the ring wondering what the point of this stalling is, the referee restraining him a bit
Eric Price: There you are, Jenna Stevens. I understand your wrote your favorite WCF wrestler a letter, you think you can be a wrestler just like her isn’t that right.
Eric puts the microphone to her as she is holding a soda
Jenna Stevens: Yes, she is my hero!
Eric Price: Right. Well little girl, I hate to bring you into reality … wait, I take that back, I love bringing you into reality, is this your brother and are these your parents right here?
Jenna Stevens: Yes, they are!
Eric Price: Ladies and gentlemen, the Stevens family. Now Jenna, I would suggest to you that you listen to your brother Jake. You see Jake right here appreciates my contributions to WCF, he appreciates the fact that I am the WCF World Champion isn’t that right?
Jake Stevens: Yes, you are the best the WCF has ever seen!
Crowd boos loudly
Eric Price: Shut up, how dare you disrespect this young boy for admiring his hero, yours truly the WCF World Champion Mr. Eric Price! Now Jenna, I would suggest you take your brother’s words to heart, the fact is you can’t be a wrestler. You see that shirt you’re wearing that Sarah, you great brave hero gave you, those words are exactly right, you don’t matter Jenna. You never will, you will always be on that side of the barricade because you are worthless and you are a woman.
Crowd boos even louder
Crowd: Asshole! Asshole! Asshole!
Eric Price: Please, please, some respect please. The fact is you’re a girl and nothing will ever change that, you can’t succeed in this business because there will always be someone like me who is better than all the women on the roster combined. Your job is to stay in the kitchen and cook and clean for the boys.
Eric gives her a very sarcastic smile as her brother Jake laughs at her a bit and she looks mad at Price
Eric Price: You called Sarah the best TV Champion ever. Newsflash, I was 2012 Television Champion of the Year, which means that I’m better than her.
Zach Davis: Come on, what is the meaning of this? This is ridiculous, Eric Price picking on children now, come on!
Shannan Lerch: Shut up, he’s just telling her the facts of life!
Eric Price: Or how about a few months ago when I kissed Sarah Twilight, made a real woman out of her and showed her what her role is in this business and that is to be submissive to me. And you see this title, this belt right here, she will never have it because my name is Mr. Eric Price and I am the WCF World Champion! She will never hold this title frankly because she is a woman and women do not deserve to be at the top, only a man as righteous, as honest as I am can hold this belt with class and integrity.
Jenna Stevens: Sarah Twilight is going to kick your ass at some point down the line and she will be WCF World Champion soon enough. And tonight, Steeltoe Joe is going to beat you up and take that title from you. Tick tock asshole!
Crowd cheers loudly
Eric Price: Tick tock, TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK, how dare you disrespect me?!
Zach Davis: Come on, Eric Price looks crazed, someone needs to stop this.
And Steeltoe Joe quickly slides out of the ring and kicks Price in the gut as the bell rings and the match starts. The crowd white hot cheering Joe on.
Zach Davis: And finally this World Title match gets started after his appalling, this disgusting display by the paranoid, sick World Champion who knows his championship reign is about to end here tonight.
Shannan Lerch: Show some respect to the champion!
Zach Davis: Joe drags Price into the ring. Price inside already as Joe rolls in and Price quickly tries to take advantage and surprises Joe with a DDT.
Shannan Lerch: Wow, this early into the matchup and cover!
Zach Davis: But a kickout from STJ. Looks like Price wanted to end this matchup quickly and get STJ out of the way. But with the World Championship on the line, I doubt STJ is going to allow this match to go easily.
As STJ is down from the DDT and looks almost out, Price decides to go up to the top rope to try for an elbow drop.
Zach Davis: And looks like Price is going to up high here, taking a risk. An elbow drop, this early into the matchup, Price wants to put Joe away early and walk away as the champion here tonight
Shannan Lerch: And he connects with STJ but can he take advantage. Price rolls over and cover!
Zach Davis: And no, STJ kicks out. Price looking to put STJ away very early in this match up as STJ is still kind of out of it. This crowd however chanting for STJ.
Crowd: Let’s go STJ! Let’s go STJ! Let’s go STJ!
STJ slowly gets up and goes to the corner of the ring. Look of surprise on his face. He raises his hand up for the crowd and they cheer for him!
Shannan Lerch: The crowd’s 100% on his side here. But Price doesn’t care about them and is now running toward STJ, going to try and clothesline him in the corner here.
Zach Davis: STJ just turning around and barely avoid being hit by Price as Price gets a face full of turnbuckle. STJ quickly takes advantage and he locks in at the waist, a suplex to Price! Cover!
Zach Davis: And Price barely kicks out of that one. A strong showing from both men in the early going of this match. Price loves that title, he is all about the World Title but STJ also wants to win that title from Price and shut him up once and for all, both men looking for the win quickly.
Shannan Lerch: The World Title is the top title in our business and it’s clear that both men understand its importance and neither man is going to let this match go easily.
Zach Davis: Price is still down right now as STJ is getting up, he’s grabbing Price by the head and is applying a neck lock to him. He’s really trying to wear Price down here.
Shannan Lerch: And Price appears to slowly be fading. Look at his face, it’s almost purple. The referee now checking on him.
Zach Davis: Lifting his arm and no, Price is still in this! He’s hanging on here. Elbow to STJ, and another elbow to the gut of STJ here as he’s forced to break the hold. Price dragging himself as fast as he can to the ropes for leverage.
Shannan Lerch: And Price now getting himself up as he looks to be on the attack. He goes after STJ but oh no, STJ lowers the ropes and Price goes over. And now a smile on the face of STJ.
Crowd: STJ! STJ! STJ!
STJ raises his hand with a smile on his face here as Price is down on the outside.
Zach Davis: STJ is truly a fan favorite as the crowd cheers for his every move here.
Shannan Lerch: Both men have been very resilient thus far but Price can’t allow the chants to get to his head. And what’s he doing here?
Shannan Lerch: I think STJ wants to cement his legacy here in WCF and tonight is another step in that. As his first ever World Title match, he wants to show everyone that he deserved it , something I’m sure that only he but our fans believe sincerely that it is the time of the Holy Flame to shine.
Zach Davis: What the hell is Price doing here? He’s grabbing his title and I think he’s going to take a walk. He says he’s had enough.
Shannan Lerch: Price walking away from this matchup with his title around his shoulder as he simply waves off the massive boos from the audience and is taking his title and leaving here tonight.
Zach Davis: Remember, Steeltoe Joe cannot win the belt via countout or disqualification, the only way for him to win is via pinfall or submission.
Eric Price slowly making his way up the ramp turned away from the ring as Steeltoe Joe quickly realizes that he cannot win the World Title this way.
Zach Davis: Price is such a coward but wait, looks like STJ is going to grab Price and drag him back into the ring here.
Shannan Lerch: Come on, the champ had had enough, if he wanted to leave, he should have had the right to leave!
Zach Davis: Eric Price now forced back into the ring and Steeltoe Joe rolls in but Price immediately responds with stomps to the back of Steeltoe Joe as Price quickly grabs STJ’s legs and oh my, he’s going to lock in the Sharpshooter here and it’s locked in! This crowd white hot telling STJ to hold on!
Shannan Lerch: Inching closer, almost there. Is STJ going to tap because the pain is far too much. STJ almost there.
Zach Davis: The pain must be excruciating but Joe wants that World Title and he will not allow this change to pass him by.
Shannan Lerch: Not at all, he’s getting closer to the rope and yes, he grabs the bottom rope. The official instructs Price to break the hold.
Referee: 1. 2. 3. 4.
Zach Davis: And Price breaks the hold just barely before a count of 5. As usual, once a cheater, always a cheater.
Shannan Lerch: I think Price is trying to do the damage to STJ as much as he can here as he really wants to retain that title and he said it himself, he will do whatever it takes. He claimed it was good versus evil and that he is the good person here.
Zach Davis: That’s deluded and you know it! STJ recovering here as the referee forces Price to step back. STJ is getting up and Price is trying to sneak by but STJ meets him first with a hit right to the face. STJ follows it up with another strike to Price’s face. These men trading blows here, one after the other and it looks like Price is getting the upper hand here. And STJ is a bit out of it here. Price grabs STJ and bam, DDT, nails another DDT on STJ.
Shannan Lerch: Cover!
Zach Davis: And STJ manages to get his shoulder up. This has been an even contest so far, STJ showing why he deserved the shot against Eric Price and Price, even though he tried to walk out of this matchup, he has shown fortitude and that he deserves to be champion!
Shannan Lerch: Finally you admit it! Although both men have been pushed here tonight and with the richest prize in our business on the line, they are giving it their best.
Crowd: Holy Flame! Holy Flame! Holy Flame!
Zach Davis: STJ fans chanting for him, that is his moniker after all
Shannan Lerch: Nevertheless, this match is still continuing.
Price rolls out of the ring with a grin on his face as STJ is still coming to and he goes back to the fans sitting at ringside, picking on Jenna Stevens.
Zach Davis: What a bully.
Eric Price: You see that piece of trash, I am beating the hell out of him and I will remain World Champion after tonight because he’s worthless just like you, you’re worthless trash.
Jenna has her drink still in hand, no top on it.
Shannan Lerch: You tell her champ!
Zach Davis: What a heinous human being he is!
Jenna throws the soda on Eric Price who looks stunned and the crowd cheers loudly as Jenna and even her brother and parents look surprised at this.
Zach Davis: Oh my God, Jenna Stevens, a fan of Sarah Twilight who received tickets from her just threw Soda right in the face of the World Champion who now looks completely livid. Someone needs to restrain him.
Eric Price looks like he’s about to slap her in the face but before he can, Steeltoe Joe rolls out of the ring again and pushes Price into the ringside barricade, hurting him in the process. STJ proceeds to slap hands with Jenna here who is cheering STJ on.
Shannan Lerch: And of course, from behind Steeltoe Joe attacks Price.
Zach Davis: As he should have, Jenna Stevens, a 14 year old fan in attendance being bullied by the “brave” WCF World Champion, he was going to hit her had Joe not stopped him.
Shannan Lerch: No he wasn’t although if he did, he would have deserved it.
Zach Davis: Nevertheless, Joe rolls Price back into the ring here and cover!
Zach Davis: Kickout by Eric Price, that was so close to a 3 count!
Shannan Lerch: And looks like Joe is going to try and finish him off here. STJ gets Price up slowly and tries to set him up for Divination but no, Price counters and manages to hit a suplex on STJ here!
Zach Davis: And Price is going to try and finish STJ off. STJ is down on the mat. Price is lifts him up and sets him for a Reversal of Fortune but can he get it?!
Shannan Lerch: The crowd completely behind STJ but Price doesn’t care because he’s going to do what he needs to do to win this match!
Crowd: Holy Flame! Holy Flame! Holy Flame!
Crowd: And he grabs STJ, he connects with the Reversal of Fortune! STJ is down.
Zach Davis: Cover.
Zach Davis: A kickout! A KICKOUT! Oh my God, and now Eric Price is wondering what it will take to put Steeltoe Joe away in this awesome matchup! Price doesn’t know what to do anymore.
Shannan Lerch: Joe slowly slowly making his way up here as Price is in shock, Price tries to set him up for another Reversal of Fortune, but Joe counters and pushes Price away as the Price starts arguing with the official.
Zach Davis: Price shouldn’t argue with the official and should focus on this matchup as Joe looks ready to finish Price off here. And what the, Price slaps the referee across the face?
Shannan Lerch: What’s he doing, the official warning him about that as he is the official. The official being very liberal here as Joe goes up to Price asking what the hell he’s doing. Price simply grins at Joe here and what’s he doing?
Zach Davis: The referee rings the bell and that is a disqualification after a blatant low blow by a desperate man, a desperate champion here tonight!
Price rolls out of the ring and demands he be given his WCF World Title as Joe is doubled down in pain.
Kyle Steel: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this match by disqualification, the Holy Flame Steeltoe Joe!
Crowd cheers for the win
Kyle Steel: However, the WCF World Heavyweight Title can only change hands via countout or disqualification therefore, still the WCF World Heavyweight, Mr. Eric Price!
Crowd boos loudly
“You Know My Name” by Chris Cornell starts playing over the speaker system of the American Airlines Arena as the crowd has come unglued and are livid at Eric Price.
Shannan Lerch: And Price celebrating by walking at ringside and simply laughing in the face of Jenna Stevens, Sarah’s invited fan here tonight as he simply rubs the fact that he is still the WCF World Champion in her face. You tell her champ!
Zach Davis: What a coward. He knew he couldn’t beat Steeltoe Joe. He knew he couldn’t get it done so he took the easy way out.
Eric Price: Who’s your hero now? Who’s your hero now? Who’s still the champ?! Huh, who’s still the World Champ?! Just like your shirt says, you don’t matter! Hahaha!!!
Eric walks away laughing maniacally with an evil look on his face with the World Title around his shoulder as the crowd is massively booing what just transpired.
Crowd: Asshole! Asshole! Asshole!
Shannan Lerch: Nevertheless, whether you like it or not, he did what he said he was going to do. He promised he would walk out of Timebomb still the WCF World Champion and he did just that.
Zach Davis: He disqualified himself like the asshole that he is. He is paranoid, he is delusional, he is psychotic and he showcased that here tonight.
Shannan Lerch: He’s the champ, show him some respect.
Zach Davis: He’s unbalanced and completely egotistical and you know it! Nevertheless, a very controversial ending to the World Title match, Joe still in the ring in pain but recovering.
Shannan Lerch: Price reveling in this moment as he should because he continues his reign as World Champion here in 2013.
Zach Davis: Joe obviously not happy with what transpired here. What will the repercussions at Slam be, what explanation with the World Champion have for this? Good night from Dallas, see you next week at Slam!
With that, Timebomb fades to black.
